POP .me email will send, won't receive

I have searched the forums and the web and can not find a working solution to this issue. I will attempt to provide as much information as I can (and over explain) in hopes to find a remedy and make it easier for others to find the solution.
I have multiple email accounts setup in the mail.app. All of the accounts are from godaddy with the same POP and SMTP settings. There are no errors, flags or lightning bolts on any of the accounts. All of the email accounts properly send and receive email with the exception of one account which is a .me domain.
The account in question will send emails but it will not receive email. I have verified all account settings and have used the connection doctor to verify that all accounts are sucessfully connecting. I have also verified that the settings match on my iphone (which does send and receive email on all accounts). The email that won't receive email is a .me domain. This is the only difference between all of the accounts which are .com
Here are the settings.
POP server = pop.secureserver.net (godaddy)
Incoming port: 110 (995 tried w/ SSL)
Username: matches
Password: matches
Delete from server: OFF
Authinication: password
SMTP server: smtpout.secureserver.net (godaddy)
Outgoing port: 25 (465 tried w/ SSL)
Username: matches
Password: matches
Authinication: password
I've checked with Armstrong Cable to see if ports where blocked (didn't work)
I've checked netgear wnr3500l and updated firmware V1.2.2.48_35.0.55NA (didn't work)
I've exported the mailbox to .mbox, deleted account and set it back up, then imported mail (didn't work)
I've archived the messages, deleted account (didn't work)
I've tried removing the com.apple.mail.plist file (didn't work)
I've tried taken account OFFLINE/ONLINE 123 times (didn't work)
I've tried removing the Envelope Index and ExternalUpdates.storedata which reimported emails (didn't work)
Called GoDaddy to see if setting have changed for the .me domians (didn't work)
Tried deleting account on iPhone to see if messages would come on macbook (didn't work)
I am almost at the end of my rope trying to get email to receive. The last email that has come in was on January 11th, 2014. I have not changed any settings recently, before or after 1/11/14. As I said before, the email sends and receives on iPhone with exact settings. The iPhone POP email is set up to never delete messages off server. I do not use any IMAP settings. All accounts are POP3.
One thing that did I notice is that whenever I try to get the account to receive messages, the MAIL ACTIVITY MONITOR will display a progress bar and "Incoming Messages 3299 of 3299" It will immediately disappear and no messages will download. The status is also inconsistent as it will change the number of incoming messages to 2471 of 2471, or 457 of 457, etc. The number is never the same, however the result is always the same. NO NEW MESSAGES.
I hope that I have provided enough information to avoid you having to ask me if I tried this or that. I believe I have tried every solution except the correct one which I hope is on it's way.

  • My MacBook Air will send but not receive Airdrops?

Does anyone know why my MacBook Air running OS X 10.9.4 will send, but not receive, AirDrop files?  I've tried to see if there are any security settings blocking receiving but have been unable to find anything.  Thank you!

If the firewall is on, turn it off in the Security & Privacy preference pane. Otherwise see below.
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • OS X 10.4.11 will send but not receive faxes on Power Mac G4 MDD

OS X 10.4.11 will send but not receive faxes on my Power Mac G4 MDD. Perhaps I should remove the relevant .plist preference file(s). But which one(s) is it /are they? Or is there something else I should do?

Thank you for your reply, BDAqua. I have set the fax feature to answer after 3 rings, but the phone rings only once when someone is trying to send a fax. The phone icon in the menu bar changes to "ringing ..." but nothing more happens. The phone line on which I receive faxes is dedicated to that use. I phoned in to its number earlier today from another phone. I heard it ring once and then it went to the busy signal. I then disconnected the fax phone line from its wall jack, connected a phone to the jack, and phoned in to it. The phone now rang and rang as it should. So this confirms the assumption that the fault is in the computer, presumably in the Print & Fax software. I should also mention that I don't find com.apple.print.FaxPrefs.plist in /Library/Preferences.

  • IPhone5 will send but not receive Text messages

IPhone5 will send but not receive Text messages.  Specifically, I can send my grown son text messages, but he can not reply to them, nor can he send me new texts. He and I are both on Verizon, and he has a Droid phone.  His texts can be recieved by his mother, who can forward them successfully to me.  When I initally received the phone (Dec 2012) I could receive and send texts with my son with no difficulty. The trouble began (as near as I can tell) when my phone was upgraded to 6.1.1.  This is a significant problem and I would like it resolved as soon as possible.

Scouter, let's get you reconnected with your son, via text message. Make sure that your text messaging feature is enabled in Settings>Messaging:
    enable iMessage ON
enable "Send as SMS" to ON
    MMS Messaging ON
You will also need to reset the network connections in:
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network
Finally, power cycle your phone off/on and try to send your son a text message. Keep us posted. We're here to help you.

Just updated to iOS7, signed in to iMessage with correct Apple ID but the account won't receive messages. It will send messages OK but if you try and send from another device the contact isn't blue (iMessage contact).
FaceTime works OK with same Apple ID.
    Help!

        HGD9832,
I apologize for the delay, but thank you for keeping us posted. Being able to send and receive messages is important. I'm glad everything was resolved.

  • My pantech hotshot will send but not receive text messages

I have a Pantech Hotshot that was working fine then all of the sudden it quit receiving text messages but it will still send them OK. I have tried pulling the battery and calling *228 but neither of them worked.  Any suggestions?

Your phone should certainly send/receive messages, copafan. How long have you had this Hotshot? Did you get it brand new? Are you the Account Owner? It sounds like there could be some settings/provisioning that need to be adjusted on your account. If you're the Account Owner, please log into My Verizon and make sure you have the text message feature, and there are no blocks. Otherwise, you can send me a Direct Message and I will be able to better assist you.   Thank you, VanessaS_VZW Follow us on Twitter @VZWSupport If my response answered your question please click the "Correct Answer" button under my response. • Im having trouble setting up my mail account, my mail will send but not receive and it is a  hotmail live account. Any soloutions on how to fix this

Hi i have a Windows Live Account and have been trying to set up my 'Mail" account. I can set it up to send my messages but am unable to get it to receive my mail. Does anyone know how it should be set up in case I've set one part of it wrong or how I would find out what is preventing it from working?
    Thanks

iMessage and FaceTime went down yesterday for some people. Mine is still down. My iMessage is saying the same thing about being activated. Sounds like you are still down too. Ignore the status page that says everything is fine - it lies.

  • Mail...will send but not receive

I have OS 10.4.11, and mail version 2.1.3. When i open my mail app, the inbox circle starts spinning like it is getting mail, and just continues to spin and spin. While it is spinning, you can send mail and it works fine. But with getting mail, the circle spins and eventually times out and say "mail quit unexpectedly." I am not sure what to do. And I really need help. Thanks so much!

    Hi Kasey,
Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
    Reboot.

  • Account will send but not receive Facetime calls

I have an old iMac running Snow Leopard and a New iPad.  I have an Apple account for my wife and one for myself.  I can recieve Facetime calls on my wife's account when I send it from my account, but I cannot receive messages on my account when I send it from my wife's account.  It says I am "not available".
It doesn't make a difference which device we use to send the call the same problem persists, so it seems to be an account problem and not a hardware problem.
    Any suggestions?

  • Email will send a mass email without my permission

So I have my email account set up through the 'mail' application. I use AOL not sure if that is relevant, but this is the second time I have noticed this happening. It was sent to 12 random people, only 3 of which I have in my address book, 3 others were professors and the rest were sent to people who I have previously sent or received emails from. There was no subject to either email and the only thing the message contained was this: http://www. stock-hifi.com/qLdyWVDE7L.html. I do not remember what the subject was to the first email.
I would suggest NOT going to the site because it says something like "Visiting this site may harm your computer" and "Suspected Malware Site". I'm scanning my mac now for any potential problems. I was just wondering what is happening and how can I stop it?

  • EMail will send and recive (IMAP) on Wi-Fi but not on 3G/Edge

    Hi there
iPhone 3G UK on o2 with current Firmware
Really strange thing, I have set up a friends email address on his iPhone on IMAP on both his Mac and iPhone, both work fine in the office, but as soon as he leaves the office and gets in the car, it brings up a invalid Username and password, both have been checked and work fine on Wi-fi. We have reset, cleared cache, change passwords, even deleted the original eMail account off the website and created a new one, and still the same problem. Its even the same with the website, if we goto his website on Wifi anywere, it shows the new website that is currently viewable by all, but on 3G is shows a old holding page whilst the site was being built.
    Where am I going wrong?!
    Thanks

It sounds like the DNS server in the office has different information then what is available on the Internet. Maybe you could blame O2 for caching an old DNS entries for email and web servers, but it is unlikely.
If you take a laptop to another network (try McDonalds or Starbucks), does his email account work? How about his website?
If it works in the office, it is not the phone or its configuration - it is either the office network, or O2 network. I am assuming the email and web server problems are related, but they could be separate - can any other device access the IMAP accounts from outside the office?
