Pop up blockers and University of phoenix

Because of how University of Phoenix has changed their on-line classroom I have to have pop-up blockers enabled. That is not the only issue. Then each time I go to do an assignment I have to click on a little icon in the upper left corner to tell FireFox to stop blocking the program so I can do my assignment.
Is there any way that you guys can work something out with University of Phoenix so we do not have to always unblock the program?

What kind of icon are you talking about?
Is that about mixed content (shield or exclamation mark)?

IPad and university of phoenix school books

Does anyone know how to download the ebooks off the universities website? I can get to it and see the pages, but the are blank and it doesn't give me the option to put in my user name and password. Do I need a specific app? they go through amazon and I already have that app installed.

I ended up downloading PDF Reader Pro and the password-protected ebooks work well there without having to print or doing anything funky. Follow these steps:
Open iTunes and click on the device under "Devices"
On the right side, you'll see "Apps" and click there
Scroll all the way down until you see "Apps" under "File Sharing" and click there
Click on "PDF Reader Pro" and on the right side you will see "Documents"
Click on "Add" and start adding the books you want. They will automatically load to your iPad
I downloaded the chapters individually because it was easier to read for particular assignments since it did not save like an ebook with chapters linked when I downlaoded the entire book alone.

TS3212 It still will not download when I enter Run even after I have added the site and turned OFF all Pop-Up Blockers!

Trying to Install Itunes to a new Desktop Computer so I can Sync My Library back in. It goes into a Loop when I Enter Run. Ive tried from my PC, and ive tried from another which runs Vista. Both pc's were tried using firefox, IE and chrome,and both had firewalls off and pop-ups allowed completely (I basically turned off all security). I checked for 3rd party software which could also cause "blocks" but all 3rd party software were eliminated. I even tried stopping and restarting windows installer in "computer management; services, services". Still no luck..... This is the first time that ive struggled downloading Itunes. University of Phoenix Email on Mail App?

I have a University of Phoenix email account and the tech support guy at the college didn't what he was doing. Does anyone on here know how I can get my Phoenix email to work with the Apple Mail App? It is like Gmail based now, and I am getting frustrated trying to figure this out. Thank you.

You need, first, to establish whether the email account supports POP or IMAP. You'll need at least one of these account types to set up any email program.
Next, you will need:
The name of your incoming mail server. This may look something like mail.yourserver.com or pop.yourserver.com.
The name of your outgoing mail server. This may be the same as the incoming server, or may look like smtp.yourserver.com.
Whether either the incoming or outgoing servers need any specific port numbers, whether outgoing mail needs authentication, and whether either needs SSL (a secure protocol).
Once you have this information, you can plug it into Mail, or post back and let us know, and we can help out.

Trying to bypass pop-up blockers on a flash site. Nothing
malicious, just going from a Flash interface to html so I can write
to a cookie. If I try to load the page in the same window, then
when you go back to the flash you are starting from the beginning
which makes it rather cumbersome. I was hoping to just load a
pop-up to avoid this.
Within the index.html page I have a javascript page loaded.

Hi. I am working with a web site that does not allow pop up blockers to be enabled and I am trying to disable all of them. Gerald:ok, reset the pram - was kind of difficult holing down 4 keys and holding the start button through 3 chimes but managed.A bit of a stretch on a regular keyboard, although two hands make it a bit easier. This operation is one of the simplest, and completely no risk. However, it can be very effective in some situations. Glad it helped a bit.Maybe I should restart or repair permissions too.Repairing disk permissions is something you need to do before and after any new installations. Indeed, some people recommend doing it daily or weekly. I think you might find it even more effective than Resetting the PRAM.
Kappy explained the question of popups, and Tom recommended Firefox, which I affirm. As I recall, when I used AOL, after connecting I opened Netscape, which was what I was using at the time. I suggest you try Firefox that way. Firefox also has the option to allow popups in some situations selectively. It warns you that the site you are browsing wants to open a popup window and tells you how to enable it. Some sites, like AAA, can't perform certain functions without popups, so this feature is very helpful.

How do I turn off pop-up blockers so that I can access my school website account?

I am currently in school and I have to access my school accounts daily but I cannot do that at home because an error message keeps appearing that says I need to turn off my 'pop-up' blockers. I downloaded Adobe Reader 11(I have Windows 7),turned off all pop up blockers. Won't work. HELP!

Downloaded Adbobe Reader 11 into my computer (Windows 7). I turned off all pop up blockers, firewalls, etc. I continually receive a message saying Windows has detected a problem and is closing the program. Consequently, I cannot view .pdf files.
