POP UP Login Page
Hello
I already have a login page working (Cold fusion page) but I would like to change it to a POPUP login. Please if some one can direct me inorder to make this page work.
I will really appreciate your help.!!
Use something like lytebox and put your login page in the lytebox. There's a pop=up login on my homepage view source code.
Just remember pop-up = javascript = inaccessible for users that have javascript disabled.

How to create a login page....
Hey guys....i am working on a erm applocation....i want to create a pop up login page for my application....please tell me how to do it....
J2EE allows you to declaratively manage security. And you're mixing up two different things, either you want a dialog box for logging in ( known as BASIC authentication ) or you want a login page ( known as FORM based authentication ). Both are easily swappable with minimum effort.
Take a look at Chapter 32 here: https://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/docs/tutorial/doc/
And Google J2EE security example/ tutorial/ whatever, you'll find lots of resources. If you have specific queries, you can always post it here in the forums -

jin.Hi,
if you want to redirect the root of portal system (http://portal/) to the login page, edit the
file and change the body tag as follow:
\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\com.sap.engine.docs.examples\servlet_jsp\_default\root\index.html
<body onload="location.replace('irj/portal' + document.location.search)"></body> -
I have created a page where I have buttons like delete and create report buttons. I am able to delete or add row in report(on same page), but whenever I click on delete or Add button, application ask for Admin username and password. Afte giving username/password, operation gets successful. But I dont want this login page to pop after clicking delete or add button.
I have not written any process which ask application for this pop up. Infact i dont have any idea why pop up is coming.
To tackle this problem,I tried entering following in OPTIONAL URL REDIRECT in Delete button.
javascript:confirmDelete(htmldb_delete_message,'DELETE');
But after that delete button became inactive. I am not able to understand, what is going wrong here:-(
Please help me to get rid of Admin login Pop up.
Thanks in advance!!!Hi Scott,
Thanks for reply, my name is Saurabh.
My workspace is HIGHER ED
Application can be accessed at following URL
http://SAURVERM-lap:8080/apex/f?p=400:1:8745831742165032:::::
Username:Admin
Password:higher ed
====================
On Customer Page, When you try to Add a Customer and push create button, it takes you first to Admin login page. Same is case with Delete button.
However, insertion and deletion operations are getting completed after providing Login details. But, I dont want application to ask for login details for addition and deletion of customer.

Wifi network login page fails to pop up
I want to login to a wifi network that requires me to accept their terms of service to gain access. This worked flawlessly a few minutes ago. Now the 'login' page that pops up has nothing about the network's terms of service, but is instead the Apple homepage. I can't connect without accepting their TOS. What do I do??

Browser error on APEX Login Page
Good morning,
Version Information:
- APEX 3.1.1
- Database 11.1.0.6.0
- Application Server: 10.1.3
I'm using the APACHE install on my APP server to connect to APEX.
When I connect to the APEX_ADMIN login page, after filling in the blanks, I get a browser error message, not an APEX error. The "caution" icon pops up on the status bar at the bottom of the browser window. When I look at the message, it says:
Line: 34
Char: 1
Error: Object expected
Code: 0
URL: http://<myservername>:7778/pls/apex/f?p=4550:10:7817059686490562
That URL, of course is the login page.
When I checked the status, the install completed successfully. I am listening on port 7778 mainly because those that came before me configured the app server's http.conf with 7778.
What am I missing?
Thanks,
Don.Thank you for your responses,
Yes, I'm pretty sure that my image alias is correct (see my DADS.CONF listing below).
I am NOT upgrading from 3.0, this is a new, clean install. I'm still checking other possible causes. Not sure where to go next.

Unable to load login page for university wifi
I am in France, using the university wifi system (de la CROUS). I have a macbook from 2008 running Leopard 10.5 that connects perfectly (Safari), loads the login page and let's me surf normally. I now have a new macbook pro (2011) running Lion. It also connects to the wifi without a problem (Safari), but the login page will not load. I've checked all the settings I can find and verified that they're the same as my macbook. I've cleared the Safari cache and tried enabling/disabling pop-ups. The graphic for the login page loaded once, but then timed out. I have been trying for almost a week. I have went to see the people in charge of the connection, but no one there seems to know anything about macs (it's France, after all). Any thoughts? Any and all help with appreciated!
I know for sure that both are up to date.
Update: I downloaded firefox by tethering my phone and i AM able to access and login to the system using firefox. the problem then lies with safari. i tried google chrome and has the same problem. has anyone else encountered this issue with safari? -
Not able to pass portal login page with valid credentials using WebDispatch
Hi,
We are implementing SAP BillerDirect Portal. To make BillerDirect Portal available over the internet, we Configured SAP WebDispatcher with SSL termination. We followed the steps mentioned in SAP Help Documentaion for SAP WebDispatcher with SSL termination.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/76/6d4fa247d0d647b5bd40745400d873/frameset.htm
We created certificate and send it to CA (TrustCenter CA). We received the CA response and we imported the certificate.
AS mentioned in the help document, we configured the SAP Web Dispatcher profile to support SSL termination
We tried to access our BillerDirect Portal over the internet using below link
https://company.com/bd
We are getting login page, once we enter correct user ID and Password, portal is not loading (not going to next page) portal remains on same login page.
If we enter invalid credentials portal login page is giving u201CUser Authentication Failedu201D error.
If we try to access any portal login pages which brings a pop-up for login, login gets succeeded and we are able to see next pages
Examples
1) https://company.com/bd/admin/xcm/init.do
2) https://company.com/monitoring/SystemInfo
All pages which bring up portal login page without pop-up, not able to pass through portal login screen.
We Tried the ProxyMapping option on Dispatcher using Visual admin. This option also didnu2019t work for us.
Here is the WebDispatcher Profile

Hi,
We are trying to develop an application using "ADF security", which means we can give permissions to certain roles based on "Binding Container", "Iterator Binding", "Method Action Binding" and "Attribute-level Binding".
After reading the document -- "Oracle® Containers for J2EE Security Guide 10g (10.1.3.1.0) B28957-01" that Frank pointed out. We have a question:
Can we develop an ADF application without creating a custom login page? Right now we've followed the security guide and modified the configuration files. But when we run the application, we get the "user null" error message. The reason is clear because we do not have a login page. On the security guide, it says that it is possible to use the oracle default login module. But it does not say how. Does anyone have any idea?
Thanks,
AnnieBrenden,
Thank you so much for the reply. This is our code in the web.xml:
<login-config>
<auth-method>BASIC</auth-method>
<realm-name>default</realm-name>
</login-config>
We are using HTTP basic Authentication. This technique worked for the container-managed security. The browser default login page pops up when the end users try to log into a secured JSP. But here we want to use "ADF security" to set up "Iterator binding" and "Attribute level binding" security. The browser default login page does NOT show up. Instead we get the "user null" error message.
If you have detailed step on how to select HTTP Basic Authentication, it would be very helpful to us. Or if you know any document has the detail.

Hi,
I have make a new and clean install of Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials on my office network server and then i made a new and clean install of Windows 8.1 Enterprise version on one of my office desktops.
After all VPN and Anywhere Access where setup on the server i when to a PC that is inside my office network and browse on Internet Explorer to the URL to connect this PC to the server and make it part of the domain.
But when i browse to the http://MYSERVERNAME/connect im not getting the Windows Server page with the option to download the windows connector. Instead i get a login pop-up saying "iexplore" and "digest". I try to create a user on the server
and use that user login details on this login box, but even then, the only thing i get is a blank page saying a HTTP Error 404.
So can someone please help me on this? Any advice on how to solve this problem in order to show the normal Windows Server connect page?
ThanksHi,
Based on your description, please refer to following operations and troubleshoot this issue. Then check if
can help us to narrow down the cause of this issue.
Please type
http://server-IP-address/connect in IE. Then check if encounter the same issue.
On the Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials, please open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. Navigate to Sites, then right click Default Web Site and select
Edit Bindings… In Site Bindings, select Port 80 and click “Edit…” button. Would you please provide a screenshot of the Edit Site Binding (Port 80) that you can see?
Then please click
Connect which in the list of Default Web Site. In the mid panel, select
.NET Authorization Rules and double click it. Then please check if all users were allowed.
By the way, would you please provide a screenshot of the login page when you browser
http://servername/connect? It may help me to understand this issue clearly.
Meanwhile, please logon a problematic client computer and navigate to the path: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows
Server\Logs folder. Then check if there is Computerconnector log file. If there is, please check it if can find some clues. (Please note: the log file is a hidden file. Please open Control Panel, select Folder Options, select View tab and check Show hidden
files, folders and drives. Then you will be able to find the log file.)
If any update, please feel free to let me know.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,

Certificate problem (webauth and WLC/WCS login pages)
Hello,
When I try to web in to the WCS or the WLC controls I get a message saying that the certificate could not be verified. I can add it into the trusted CA on IE6 but the message will still pop up anyway. It also says "The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site".
This problem is also happening for the WebAuth login page. This is more critical for me, as we have two WLANs which require WebAuth. When the clients use IE6 or Firefox it's not an issue, but when using IE7 it seems to randomly drop their connection due to the certificate being viewed as 'invalid' by the browser, forcing them to reauthenticate. I need to get this figured out and resolved so that the wireless webauth network is more reliable - I can't expect people to not upgrade to IE7.
Has anyone managed to get through this problem without purchasing a valid certificate from a CA like Verisign? Let me know please!
Thanks,
Jeff
P.S. My WCS is version 4.0.97.0 and I just upgraded my WLCs to 4.0.217.0 with plans to upgrade to the new 4.1.171.0 in the next week.Recieved this from TAC which may play into your issue.
The description of the Microsoft post-login bug is as follows but we have the code with this fix in the attached:
There is known bug filed with Microsoft in reference to the tag. There
is also one with Netscape. The work-around is below:
The Pragma statement fails in IE because of the way IE caches files.
There is a 64K buffer that must be filled before a page is cached in
IE. The problem is that the vast majority of the pages using the Pragma
statement put it between the HEAD tags.
The HEAD loads and the Pragma comes into play. The browser gets the go
ahead to not cache the page, however there is not yet a page to not
cache. Since the page hasn't filled the 64K buffer, there's no page so
the Pragma is ignored. Thus...the page is cached.
The solution is to play to the buffer. If you're really serious about
the Pragma working, place another set of HEAD tags at the bottom of the
document, before the end HTML tag and re-enter the Pragma. This is a
suggestion straight from Microsoft Support. The page would look like
this:

How to disable POP-UP login in APEX 4.0.2
Hi Colleagues,

thanks....not sure if this is even possible..
thanksHi,
Could you please explain what you mean by
Running 4.0.2 version...need to know how to remove the pop-up login and go straight to welcome/splash page?Do you mean application builder or your application login page ?
If you mean application builder, you can not remove login page. You need always login to builder.
If you mean your own application then change authentication scheme

Safari Won't Open BlueSocket Login Page
Hi
At University, we use a system called BlueSocket to log into our wireless networks. It basically pops up a webpage when a browser opens and i type my login details in. I am using Black MacBook, Snow Leopard and Safari 4.0.3 but when i connect to the network, i get assigned an IP, then try to launch Safari, it tries to load my home page and not the BlueSocket login page.
Does anyone know what would be causing this? I don't have any proxies set. I spoke to the Helpdesk at University, but they don't deal very well with Macs...but they said it should work fine with Safari, and it does work fine with my iPhone.
Thanks
JoeI'm having a similar problem when I visit my mom at the hospital. The hospital network redirects you to a login page when you open a new browser on their network. Same as most places now - whether hotels or Starbucks or wherever. I got on once with Safari, and now neither Safari nor Firefox will redirect again. I tried it in Windows running Parallels and it didn't work, either. I finally rebooted with BootCamp and it works fine in IE, Safari, and Firefox. I restarted back into Snow Leopard, and nada.
I hate it when Windows does something better than Mac. Anybody know why this is happening?
