Pop up message -don't know if this is a virus or my computer is trying to tell me something else

Hi: I have a Toshiba Satellite A215-S4757 and recently I started getting a pop up message occasionally while surfing the net that says "Cid Check Url   The application is disabled. Please, check your serial number". Can anyone tell me what this is, Thanks in advance

Firefox 10.0.2 is a security update for Firefox 10.0.1. You are using Firefox 9.0.1 (which is no longer updated or supported), so you have missed Firefox 10.0 and Firefox 10.0.1 versions.
You can update by doing one of the following:
*in Firefox, click Help > About Firefox > Check for Updates
*You can download the full installer, save it to your hard drive, close Firefox, run the installer
**Download current Firefox version (choose OS and language): https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
