How to configure a pop up message when creating an appraisal?

Hi All,
I have a question.
When the supervisor creates an appraisal for an employee, the supervisor is obligated to create Objectives for the employee but creating Competencies are only optional for executives (people group). When the supervisor has finished creating the appraisal and wants to review it, he will need to click on a Continue button.
When the continue button is pressed, a warning pop up message will appear if the competencies created was null. As it is only a warning pop up message the supervisor can just click ok and continue to the review page.
Now I am needed to configure this pop up message for the appraisal creation page and I would like to know how do I go about in searching for it? Should it be in the OAF java files or is the pop up message can be configured using personalization? I just want to know how to search for the configuration of this pop up message. Thank you

Hi Sheela,
Though you made 'Dataline' field as mandatory, system will throw an error message and will put MOUSE CURSOR on that missing field. So ultimately user would come to know that a particular field is missing.
And in SAP there would be lots of mandatory fields and it's really not feasible to put pop-up messages for such requirements and that too in transactions like CMR.
Tell user that system will automatically put MOUSE CURSOR on a particular mandatory field anytime anybody misses to maintain it. As a SAP consultant, your job is to convince the user with such standard functions.
If at all you want to put pop-up message for it, then you need to go for User Exit development.
Revert back if any further issue.

Macro Warning When Creating PDF

Windows 7, Word 2007, Acrobat X Pro.
Using Acrobat to convert an MS Word Doc to PDF, I get a message: "The macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to the online help or documentation of the host application to determine how to enable macros". I would like to find a way to prevent this VB Message from appearing each time we convert a MS Word file to PDF.
I have done a lot of research and I'm fairly sure this problem is caused by the fact that Acrobat 10 calls Microsoft Word during the conversion process. The proper way this should have been done was to call MS Word using the user's security settings (i.e. Macros Enabled in my case). However I believe Acrobat is calling MS Word with the /m option which turns off security. Hence users see the popup message from Visual Basic (MS Word process).
I verified this to some degree by running the Acrobat "Combine Files into a Single PDF" function and watched the Windows Task Manager. A version of the Winword.exe process is loaded. Then the Visual Basic Message box appears. The message box is from Word as the taskbar shows this as part of MS Word. After clicking OK, the message box dissappears and the Winword.exe process dies. Then the file is converted to PDF.
MS Word provides a way to bypass this message by changing your Macro Security settings. However, I have my MS Word Macro security setting set to "Enable All Macros", yet this message appears when converting any Word file that contains a VB Macro (using Acrobat X to do the conversion). This tells me that Acrobat is bypassing my MS Word settings by using the /m option.
This really needs to be fixed by Adobe. They should start MS Word without the /m option. Or more generally, allowing the users (not Acrobat) to define their Macro Settings in MS Word. In my case, we use the macros to build our numerous MS Word files, but don't need the macros in the final PDF. So I am fine with not having the macros in the final product, but can't deal with the popup messages (hundreds of pop ups).
What is this popup such a hassle?
Since our team combines 80 to 120 Word files into a single PDF book, this is a big problem. The expectation is that we could put all the word files into the Acrobat Combiner, start the conversion and ignore it for 30mins as it converts and creates a single book. But now the users have to sit there and continually hit the "OK" button until the process is done. Waste of resources/time for my company and making the Acrobat Combiner function useless.

LoriAUC, the link was informative but does not explain how to add Acrobat to the Trusted Publishers list.
Our Macro Settings is at Enable All Macros. The VB error doesn't look like the one in the Microsoft article. It doesn't give an option to add Acrobat on that VB error. The Trusted Publishers list does not have an Add button.
Ideally, we would like to fine a way to add Acrobat to that list if it will stop the VB errors when making a PDF, exact same problem as user above. To do that on one machine and then figure out a way to push the change to all users maybe by registry key? Or is there maybe a way to fix this issue via group policy? We have may computers that needs this fixed.

Database limit warning when creating database copy

Exchange 2010 Standard SP3 RU3.
2 Server mailbox DAG.
I have 5 mailbox databases mounted. I have a copy of each database. WHen I try to create a copy for the 5th mailbox database I get the following warning "Server has reached the maximum database limit of 5.
Looking at my server, There was an old database that was never used in the exchange directory but its not listed in the EMC.
Is it possible that information about an old database still exists in AD? Where can I verify in Adsiedit what exchange databases it sees?

Now, if we try to make a copy of “Mailbox Database Faculty Small”,
it will be available as a passive database copy on NASD-MBX2. However, there are five Database mounted on NASD-MBX2 including the Public Folder Database. So it will
get the error “Server has reached the maximum database limit of 5”. We can delete the Public Folder Database to test it.
In ADSIEdit, please refer the following image to find these databases.

Oracle SSO Warning when creating a Web Provider

Hi,
I am getting the following error message when I try to create a new Web Provider in portal:
Oracle SSO Warning - Unable to process request
Either the requested URL was not specified in terms of a fully-qualified host name or OHS single sign-on is incorrectly configured. Please notify your administrator.
I can only see this message in a Mozilla web browser, IE hangs. I have updated the provideruiacls.xml file to include an entry for my portal user with privilege="500".
Can anyone help?

Help CFGFWK-60814 error when creating weblogic domain(Config.cmd)

I've installed soa suite 11gR2 without problem on windows 7 Turkish platform and Oracle XE DB. But, when I create domain based (run config.cmd) on templates it gives CFGFWK-60814 error; it says template can't be applied because it can't find dependencies although required files are already in correct directories.
I found similar error on google, but I couldnt find solution.

There is no silent mode of domain configuration. There is silent mode of wls installation.

Java Script Warning when creating PDF form in LiveCycle ES (8.2)

When generating a PDF form in LiveCycle ES version (8.2) I keep getting a java script error (yellow bar warning) in Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.3. This PDF doesn't need java-script ... however I can not find where you turn this off in LiveCycle ES. Any help would be appreciated.

For my case, it failed with:
sys-package-mgr: can't create package cache dir, '/tmp/cachedir/packages'.

Policy domain doesn't protected

I have following problems:
1.I haven't protection for any created policy domain, I have only protection for default policy domains /access and /identity . It can protect requested policy domain, if I put my resources under policy domains . /access or /identity.
How can I test that Oracle Access Manger really protect created policy domain on web server, I always used access tester, always fine work,but resources aren't protected.
For simple OAM configuration I used Doc ID: Note:437423.1 Step by Step: How to Protect a Root '/' Policy Domain With A Form Deployed On The Same WebGate HTTP Server, but resources aren't protected again.
2.When I enable default policy domains, I get very strange case, I have to try to log on at least 2-3 times for requested link on Oracle Access Console , that is very difficult for administration.

Pdf will not open when created

A recent problem has popped up. When creating a new pdf document the save as window stays in the task bar until I click on it. Once the pdf is created it stays in task bar until I click on it to view on it. Using windows 7 and Adobe Pro 9 Extened. Any thoughts or fixes on this. Up until a few days ago when I created a pdf the save menu came right up and once created the new pdf was on the screen. There have been no recent Adobe updates installed. Any thought out there. Thanks

As for viewing the PDF when it is created, check in the printer or PDF maker that you have this option selected. In the printer, you can make it the default by editing the Start>Printers>Adobe PDF printer properties. If this is already set, you may need to do a repair.

Pop-Up Warning

I am trying to add a pop-up warning when someone clicks on a link to leave the site. I work in a financial institution and it's required by the FDIC to have it. Any suggestions?

STRANGE PROBLEM with "Create New Mail Account.scpt" when creating POP acct.

I am using "Create New Mail Account.scpt" to create a POP account. It creates the account successfully. It fetches the mails successfully. Now the problem begins. After fetching all the mails once if u click "Get Mail" in mac mail, it fetches all the emails again and has now 1 original and 1 copy of the email set which is on the server. I just need 1 copy of the mail set not multiple. Please give me a solution or direct me to a help.

I can't quite tell what it's doing, but open Keychain Access in Applications>Utilities, click on your Keychain on the left, put .mac in the search bar, once you find it, double click on it and click show password.
If you have no mail in there try this with Mail quit.
Drag this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
Start Mail & see if it steps you through it.
Not sure on the .uk thing, but is Date & Time>Time Zone set to the UK?

How to use a ip address for pop & smtp server names when creating a new account

My xp PC is on a lan behind a Freebsd os [IE. flavor of unix] which is not running a dns server. The only way to reach it is by ip address. I have configured the account with a ip address for pop & smtp. When I create and sent a email, Thunderbird shows a window saying it trying to connect and after 10 seconds it goes away with out showing the status window. There is no email in the sent folder. Is it possible to do this ???? I can accomplish this using ms/outlook so I know it is possible.

I haven't tried this in years, but could you give this server a name and enter that into TB
Then in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts you add that name and ip

Not able to type a password when trying to create a domain

Hi,
I am trying to create a domain and in that wizard, in Administrator name and password for weblogic user, I am not able to type the password. Whatever I type it doesn't get reflected in the UI . if I press Next button Error comes as password is mandatory. I am using Linux OS.

If anyone else face this issue, then here comes the resolution -
Password Field Not Editable in Domain Template on Linux

On Linux, when creating a new domain using a developer template in the Oracle Fusion Middleware Configuration Wizard, the password and confirm password fields are not editable, and you cannot enter a password to create a domain.
Workaround: Do one of the following:
To work around the issue each time it occurs: Click the close window "x" button in the upper right corner of the Configuration Wizard. In the confirmation dialog that appears, click "No" to return to the Configuration Wizard. Now you can enter the password and confirmation password.
To fix the issue permanently:
Kill a scim processes. For example, kill "pgrep scim"
Modify (or create) the file ~/.scim/config to include the following line:
/FrontEnd/X11/Dynamic = true (follow case sensitivity)
If you are running VNC, restart the VNC server.
Run the Configuration Wizard again.
