Pop3 smtp changes are hatin my tablet and iphone 3g

So now what? Everytime i try to administer the new settings both tablet and phone freeze up. Ive added another email account to both and recieving emails from the new one daily. Just cant get V to work. Ive even deleted and redid it on both of them to no avail. Assistance required please...

I realise this might not be the answer you qwere hoping for, but I always found Outlook a bit hit and miss, so I went for an iPhone app called Occassions.
It takes the birthday information directly from your contacts and uses an external server to push the notifications to your phone.
Works really well
Only other thing I can think of is to check your time zones on each machine and see if that's the problem

Make sure you are entering the contacts and calendar events on your iCloud account. On your iPad, check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar. Here make sure you have selected an iCloud calendar as your default, and not something else like On My iPad, Google Calendar, and exchange account calendar, etc.
Then go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the contacts section) and make sure you have selected iCloud as your default. (If you don't see this settings, this isn't the problem).
If your settings for your calendar is correct on your iPad and it still won't sync new calendar events to your phone, go to icloud.com from your computer and enter any missing calendar events on your iPad that are not on your calendar on icloud.com. Once your iCloud calendar is up to date, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, choose Delete from My iPad when prompted, then after a minute or so turn Calendars back to On to sync your iCloud calendars back to your phone. Then enter a new event on your iPad and confirm that it syncs to icloud.com now.
If your settings for your contacts are correct on your iPad and it still won't sync new contacts to your phone, do the same thing for Contacts (add any missing contacts to icloud.com, turn iCloud syncing off, choose Delete from My iPhone, after a minute turn contact syncing back on, try adding a new contacts to confirm that it syncs).

I like Muse, I am using it daily but for an Adobe product it does seem to have more issues than I would expect.

Any password for an internet site is managed by this site's system. Your device only provides an access to this site.
So if you change password from any device, you'll have to provide your new password for this site, whatever device you use for connection.

What SMTP servers are compatible with CF8 and 9?

Hi all. In order to buy us time until we can upgrade our farm to CF10, what SMTP email servers can we use? The enterprise is going to Exchange 2010 and I understand CF8 and 9 are not compatible with that version of Exchange.

CF is not compatible with newer versions of Exchange for the purposes of <cfexchange> functionality, but it's fine as far as SMTP connectivity goes. SMTP is an independent standard, so does not change from version to version of Exchange.

OSX 10.6 Mail SMTP fail (fine on Entourage, iPad and iPhone)

Weird one here.
My SMTP server is failing to verify from Mail 4.6 (1085) running under OSx 10.6.8 on a MacBook Pro 1,1 2.16ghz 2gb ram.
Installed on the same computer is Entourage (12.0.0) which works fine, as does my iPhone and iPad. All connected to the same router via wifi.
Obviously I've gone over the settings with a toothcomb, and they are identical. Just for reference here they are:
server: smtp.123-reg.co.uk
authentication: password
user name: <email address>
pw: secret!
port: 465 (have tried 25 and 587 as well)
ssl: on (tried off with all above ports)
Anybody got any bright ideas as to why Mail doesn't want to play ball? Anything else I should be checking?

I hadn't tried connection doctor, but it's led me to some more info about my problem, sent me to some more websites and forums and ultimately a solution...
Connection doctor was not giving me much info (1 line saying it was trying to connect), so I plumbed all the email settings into Mail 6.5 (1508) running under 10.8.4 on another Mac, I get the same issue (and the same positive result with Outlook 14.3.5), but at least connection doctor there gave me a lot more info.
The clue was this from connection doctor:

A lot of reading of forums (http://business.forums.bt.com/t5/Email/email-on-Mac-problem-sending/td-p/46630/p age/2) led me to realise this was my BT Home Hub 3, Mail and the 123-reg smtp server having an incompatibility.
I changed the name of my computer in sharing prefs to a simple name with no spaces and punctuation, made sure the new name was updated in the hub, restarted both and bingo we're working.
The hub was suffixing to wifi mac id of the Mac with .home and this was failing the EHLO/HELO authentication.
Anyway, problem solved. Thank god!!

Is it possible to change Apple ID? itunes and iphone

On my Itunes and on my iphone, as they are synced. I have a new personal email address so i wont use my old hotmail one anymore. Is it possible to change it and keep all my music, contacts, apps and such?

My notes are reconciling between ipad and iphone

The notes I create on iphone aren't reconciling on my iPhone and vis versa (always created and backed up on iCloud). They, at one time were successfully syncing but since I got my new iphone5 a few wks ago, I believe something isn't set up right in the settings. Can someone tell me what their settings for notes looks like?
The really nice Apple guy at the store told me to check my Mail settings since technically notes are synced via a hotmail or email account and saved/reconciled on iCloud. When inside notes on iPad, you can't tell which account you're on (iCloud or other). I really only ever want to use iCloud moving fwd since I use both Apple devices for work and personal note taking. I'd consider myself an above average computer user. Thanks for your help!!

I changed my apple ID on iCloud, but when I go to use icloud on my ipad or iphone, it seems I need to 'delete' the old account' before logging on with the new account, but won't this 'delete any data on this device' as it warns me?

I making a small change to an existing Web Template namely changing the tab page 1 to tab page 2 and vice versa.
I could see the message Changes are saved but at the end web template is same like as it was.
Any idea why changes are not being saved and how to over come this will be of great help.

Plug the iphone in and go to the music tab in the iphone,not your itunes library.There will be a button in the borrom right that says autofill. Click that and it should thransfer all your music. It worked for me,and i had the same problem.

IMessage won't sync between Mac and iPhone

Ever since iOS 7 upgrade, I am having issues with iMesage but only with one user specific. iMessage works on my phone when being used in a iPhone to iPhone usage however my GF has a Mac Pro and a iPad and iMessage works fine with she's using her devices and I am using my Mac Air however when it goes to auto sync to my iPhone it only syncs my messages that I am sending. I receive her messages on my Mac Air however they don't sync or are received on my iPhone.
I have not tried a iPhone to Mac conversatino with another person.
I have tried removing my Apple ID from my phone and re-logging in. No change. I have turned off iMesage on my phone and no change. My Mac Air and iPhone both have the same accounts selected to recieve messages.
Anyone have any ideas? Its a tad bit annoying.

I have set up my email address both within my iMac and my ISP as IMAP accounts and I receive all emails without problem on my iMac. I have also set up an iCloud email address using my iMac.
I have enabled the email within "setting" on my iPad and have used the iCloud account. I have sent emails from the iMac to iPad using the iCloud account address and vice versa. I have also sent emails from the iPad to the iMac using my non-iCloud email address and they have gotten through.
The one thing I would like to have is for the iPad "mail" mailboxes to mimic the iMac "mail" mailboxes and both to be "in sync". I am not really interested in using the iCloud email address for my email but would really like to use my "normal" addresses as these are what most people know me by.
Do I need to set additional accounts within the iPad which are the same as the email accounts I have within the iMac and my ISP? I have reached the end of my knowledge as regards email synchronsing.
