Populating CRM marketing attributes using the APD

Hi Experts
We are having problems with populating CRM marketing attributes using the APD. When we run our process we get the error message:
CRMBW_ATTR_WRITE005: Error when processing function module CRMBW_UPDATE_BPMKT_5. Message no. RSAN_MDL024
As you can see, we are using the new function module CRMBW_UPDATE_BPMKT_5 since the old CRMBW_UPDATE_BPMKT did not work either.
Do we have to add a reference to a infoobject in transaction CRMBWTARGETS? We have not done this because the marketing attribute in CRM doesn’t have decimals and all the objects in BI have. Could this be the cause of the error?

Thanks for quick reply.
I have already followed the procedure you have described. Since there is not common objects between ODS and Bpatner infoobject, i am not able to do mapping.
for eg. my ZBPARTNER infoobject has attributes like zfooty, ztennis and zrugby but my ODS has char name , char value, counter for multiple values infoobjects.
I am following the example in the demo content to work out the process but could not understand how the data is getting uploaded from ODS to Business partner.

    Does anybody know if it is possible to update material master records in CRM from BW using the Analyses Process Designer with target CRM?
    I would prefer to know this before creating a custom data target adapter in the CRM SPRO, writing all the required function modules and then finding out that it does not work.

    Hello Gurus,
    We are facing a problem in the interactive script, of the sap crm 7.0.
    We know the possibility of set some of the customer data into the
    script by filling bdc field inthe test field and then adding this text
    field to a script question.
    We did it in the customer data "***" by filling the bdc field with "ext
    field marketing attribute interactive script" and this data is showed
    in the script, but we can not show marketing attribute data in the
    script by using text field and bdc field.
    There is a possiblility of showing the marketing attribute in the text
    field or it is imposible due the structure of bol in crm.

    To display or change the marketing attributes of a business partner in the script follow these steps:
    1.  Run the Interactive Script Editor.
    2.  Create a new Question and in the Answer Area drag and drop the "Marketing Attribute" dynamic answer.
    3.  Select the "Marketing attribute will display here when executing the script" object and go to tab "Dynamic Content Parameters".
    4.  Select the attribute set and the attribute name.
    5.  Save the question.
    6.  Drag and drop the question to your script.
    7.  Change the template of the question node to either "Person Marketing Attributes" or "Organization Marketing Attributes" depending on what type of business partner is expected to be confirmed at run time in the IC_AGENT role.
    8  Save the script.
    9.  Run IC_AGENT or similar IC role.
    10. Confirm an organization ( if you used "Organization Marketing Attributes" ).
    11. Run the script.
    When you reached the question maintained above, the marketing attributes will render for that business partner, if they exists or will be created if they don't exists . To be created a button that will do a navigation is required. It means that the question will have to be linked to a next question or to itself by this button (to itself is required only if it is the last or the only question in the script). To suggest to the user that he or she has to click on the button, to save, is probably better to name the button "Save".

  • How to add new marketing attribute to the existing marketing attribute set?

    Hi all,
                  I searched for existing forums but I didn't find the required one. I found some using Tcodes ,which is not my requirement. My requirement is to add new marketing attribute to the already existing marketing attribute set. This  attribute set is created by my team lead with 4 attributes but now i have to add new attribute to this set so total will become 5 attributes for this attribute set. This has to be done through marketing professional business role. If this is not done through marketing attribute set, then I will go for the transaction where I can add marketing attribute for attribute set.
    Please send the details of both marketing professional business role and transaction code.

    Business Partner Marketing Attributes
    Marketing attributes are used in CRM for business partner segmentation and can have single as well as multiple values (for example, hobbies), or can be created as intervals (for example, age from/to).
    The multiple value attributes can be extracted using a generic extractor to an ODS object in the BW system. The update to the business partner attributes as well as the attributes themselves strongly depend on the modeling of the marketing attributes in the CRM system. The delivered content is therefore not valid for all situations. For this reason, demo content is delivered with this InfoArea, which you can then use as a template for your own development.     In CRM 4.0, marketing attributes set can be created at T-code [CRMD_PROF_TEMPL]
    The created attribue set can be assigned to BP at T-code [CRMD_PROF_BP]
    The other way you can open the BP, in marketing at marketing attributes tab your can assign the created attribute set.

  • Attach marketing attributes to the relationship

    Hi guys,
    I have the following problem and would really apreciate your thoughts on this.
    I want to attach my marketing attribute "invitation" to the relationship, because I have the constellation, that Joe is CP for company A,B and C. When I assign "invitation" to the CP Joe and use the segment Builder, I get Joe three times with the addresses for company A,B,C, but I only want to send the invitation to Joe working for A. So I am thinking that attaching the marketing attribute to the relationship between A and Joe would be a good solution. However, CRM5.0 doesn't offer this. Any idea how it could be done? Or if SAP is planning someting like this for CRM6.0?

    i am also facing same problem while doing upload marketing attributes, it takes too much time to process. Please provide some inputs for this issue, we are loading almost 4 lakh of records..

  • Update CRM marketing attributes in Product

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement where in we want to update CRM Marketing attibutes for a given Product.
    This has to be done from SAP EP. An interactive form is launched from UWL and this would allow
    user to proivde the marketing attribute data. The data is then to be sent for approval via R/3 workflow.
    Now I want this data (after approval) to be updated in the product master data in CRM.
    Do we have any standard APIs for this ?

    I have a same requirement to update the existing value of a marketing attribute.  I created a new implementation of BADI "BUPA_GENERAL_UPDATE"
    I am using the FM  'CRM_MKTBP_UPDATE_ATTR_BP' to update the value, but the updation fails,,,,
    MY requirement is to override the default value for a particular BP_KIND to some other value at the time of creation of BP.
    please reply as I am having an urgent delivery of the requirement.

    I want to enhance two attributes u201Ecreated_byu201C and u201Ecreated_atu201C in the assignment block u201Cmarketing attributesu201D. This data are in the component = BP_DATA and in the view = MarketingAttributesEOVP.
    When I take the CRM Tx BSP_WD_CMPWB or when I use the Application Enhancement Tool in CRM 2007, I canu2019t choose the attributes u201Ecreated_byu201C and u201Ecreated_atu201C in the view MarketingAttributesEOVP, component BP_DATA.
    Note:
    The attributes u201Ecreated_byu201C and u201Ecreated_atu201C sill exist on a other place. You can find this attributes in the MARKETINGPRO profile, when you create an external list. Itu2019s the component: ELMOE, view: VEGeneralData, attributes: STRUCT.CREATED_BY_TEXT, STRUCT.DATE_CREATED_ON
    I tried two things:
    1.
    I started the Application Enhancement Tool in the WebUI (CRM 2007) and selected the desired area. Then I was in the configuration mode. There I wanted to use the function u201CCreate New Fieldu201D, but it didnu2019t work, because this function is inactive.
    2.
    I used the CRM Tx SE11, data type: CRMT_MKTBP_ATTRIBUTE. In this structure I want to enhance the two attributes. So, I create an append-structure, but I canu2019t enhanced it.
    The problem is that the structure CRMT_MKTBP_ATTRIBUTE has the category u201Ccannot be enhancedu201D (menu u201CExtrasu201D, u201CEnhancement Categoryu201D  à u201Ccannot be enhancedu201D). You canu2019t change this.
    This two trials wasnu2019t successful. So, I think it is not possible, to add attributes to this structure. It this correct?
    Or has anybody a solution? Is there an option to enhance attributes u201Ecreated_byu201C and u201Ecreated_atu201C?

    Hi Gurus,
    We are using function module CRM_MKTBP_CHANGE_BP to change marketing attributes for a business partner in which the marketing attributes are coming from another interface.
    We get the marketing attributes created all the time, but the problem is when theres is a change in marketing attributes, these changes are also reflected, but the changed by and time stamp is not changed, though we pass it explicitly via the internal table IT_IMP_SELTAB when passing the fields CHANGED_AT and CHANGED_BY.
    Requesting if anyone knows another FM or BAPI or OSS noted available for this as this particular FM is not released yet too.

    Check that the Flag Run in the table CRM_MKTBP_CHECK for function module CRM_MKTBP_UPDATE_AUSP_EX_DB is set to X. This is for recording the history for any changes in the attributes. If not then set this flag to X. After that just change the value of one of the attributes and check the 'CHANGED AT' and 'CHANGED BY' fields for that attibute.

  • Can CRM 2015 Online use the CRM 2013 Email Router?

    We are trying to plan our upgrade to CRM 2015 Online from CRM 2013 Online. We currently use the CRM 2013 Email Router and want to know if we need to upgrade the email router immediately after the CRM server is upgraded or if we could wait a short period
    of time. I searched but could not find any information on the Email Router compatibility. Does anyone have any information?

    Why are you using the email router if your Exchange Server is also Online?  Dynamics CRM Online has Server Sync built in so it will directly communicate to Exchange Online.  Much better solution than rolling up an email Router. 
    Also, if you don't have access to the Exchange server, I' doubt there's much you can do, since you don't have all the tools you need to troubleshoot the issue.

    I am trying to reorder leaf level attributes of an entity using the MDS Webpage. Whenever I try to reorder, I get an "Unknown Error Occured" message. After I close IE and open the MDS Webpage again, the attribute is re-ordered.  Has anyone

    This an obscure tag I've not thought about for a while.
    If memory serves me well, the <frontend> tag works with OC4J standalone only.
    If you have Oracle HTTP Server in front of OC4J and requests being routed via mod_oc4j, then the servername and port values will be set to the value of the Oracle HTTP Server.
    You don't say what version you are using, but I just tried it with an OC4J 10.1.3.1 standalone and it works as described.
    Putting the following in default-web-site.xml:
    <frontend host="foo.bar" port="80"/>
    And then displaying the values using:
    <pre>
    <%=request.getServerName()%>
    <%=request.getServerPort()%>
    </pre>
    Returned:
    foo.bar
    80
    Stripping the <frontend> tag from default-web-site and restarting the server showed the output as:
    localhost
    8888
    Interestingly accesing the Application Server Control home page with the <frontend> set results in an error since the first thing ASC does it to a redirect -- and it tries to redirect the client to http://foo.bar which doesn't exist.
    If you are using Oracle HTTP Server, then you may need to use some virtual-directory magic to set up the virtual host entries to pass along from OHS to the OC4J instance.

  • How to build a report in Oracle CRM On Demand using the Shared Activities subject area to show only 5 recent activities?

    I’m trying to use the Rank function in a report and I’m having issues getting it to work.  I’m using the Shared Activities subject area and would like to rank activities by Contact. Since there are multiple activity association to the users (attendees), I’m not getting the correct ranking order.  Here is what I tried so far…
    RANK(Activity."Task Due Date" By Contact."Contact ID")
    RANK(Activity."Task Due Date" By Contact."Contact ID", Activity."Activity ID")
    RANK(Activity."Task Due Date" By Contact."Contact ID", Employee."Employee ID")
    I don’t mind getting the same values for the same dates but the increment should be in sequence.  What I’m getting is 1,1,3,3,5,6,6…  I want to show only 5 recent activities and so need the sequence of 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4… If not date, what else is there to make it unique?  I tried to rank it by Contact Id, Activity Id, Emp Id, etc.  Nothing works!
    I have tried other functions like RCOUNT, TopN, BottomN, ect. with no luck.

    Our requirement is to see all the activities for a server in a month ONLY IF there are activities on DIFFERENT dates. So using my example, server2 has activties on 7/1 and 7/14. Then we want to see all the activities for server2 in that month. Server3 has two activities but both activities are on the same date. So we don't want to see server3.
    Counting by server will not work because that will include server3 in my example.
    What I really want is to be able to count unique occurrences of dates per server in a month. And if this count is > 1, then this server will be in the report.
    I used a pivot table to count the unique occurrences of dates by server by month. So using my example, I have this result:
    Server1-July: 1
    Server2-July: 2
    Server3-July 1
    What I really want (conceptually) is to be able to filter this pivot table by the matrix column which is the count. I just couldn't figure out how to do that :). Then I thought I could use this report (with pivot table result) as a filter into another report.
