Population equipment no in Quotation

Hi all,
I exploded equipment BOM and selected the assembly or component same has to be copied to the Sales order quotation at item level. Further to add this our client requires select the item level assembly or component . Go to extras
->technical object there he want to populate the equipment no .
I am changing existing SAP program(SAPMV45A) where i am adding additional button(Equipment) on application toolbar. When i click this button equipment BOM exploded and corresponding item is copied to Quotation line item and manual saving of quatation which is presently working fine. But client want to populate the equipment no automatically at extras
->technical object Equipment field
So kindly help this is urgent

Hi,
I dont think you can see the equipment number related to material every time. Only the equipments which are serialised will be able to show their equpment number.
But why you want equipment number??....Many times one material number is common for many equipmets...in this case then it becomes difficult to identify exact equipment number...

All paramteras are passed thru the flat file table and successfully got created.
When I look into the Costing Model values, they are still empty.

Hi,
Check what costing values you mentioning manually that should be in FLAT FILE.
If your costing values are in flat file and not populated after creation of quotation through BAPI then it means problem in either file reading or in file uploading through BAPI.
Check BAPI u are using.

Populating condition value instesd of rate in creation of Quotation

Hi All,
I have to create quotation with condition value(KWERT) populated with some value using function module BAPI_QUOTATION_CREATEFROMDATA2.
I'm able to cteare quotation with value populating to condition amount( KBETR ) using the same function module. At that time automatically KWERT will get populated with a value = KBETR * QUANTITY. But I do not need any value in KBETR, but need the value to be populated in KWERT. Please let me know how to do this with FM, BAPI_QUOTATION_CREATEFROMDATA2.
I'm able to create the same manulay, but finding issues while using FM.

Hi,
Check the Pricing condition type configuration(Table : T685A). Calculation type should be B-Fixed Amount.
Pass the value in structure field QUOTATION_CONDITIONS_IN-COND_VALUE & QUOTATION_CONDITIONS_IN-CONDVALUE while executing the BAPI.

Populating the long text in equipment

How do we propose to populate the long txt in equipment? Is LSMW viable option, or would this be more complicated than it
sounds?

Long text always create problem either in functional location and equipements.So it becomes difficult in LSMW .the problem you will face is while recording in lsmw either you will get word document when you open long text and in main upload it will be in a format where only 72 characters per line is possible.
so it is better always if long text is involved to use BDC ..life becomes easy through BDC.

Default values to be populated in the search option ' Equip by equip list'

All Experts,
I am running the transaction code IE01 to create a equipment. While creating, i would like to select a reference equipment. When i am doing so, there are so many included search options are displayed. Now, there are two queries from here onwards.
a)Is it possible to hide / deactivate all other included search options except ' Equipments by Equipments list'.
b)When the option 'Equipments by Equipments list' is selected, is it any way to default the values for the fields 'Equipment category' as 'M' and the 'Class type as 002'

You will not be able to accomplish this using standard functionality without doing some development. It maybe possible to accomplish this through Transaction variant.
Other than the above, the simplest way to hide the search options would be to place a implicit enhancement at the begining of the FM "PM_HLP_PREVENT_RECURSION" to delete of the search helps other than "Equip By Equip List" based on the calling program and screen number.
With respect to defaulting, other than what Paul had indicated , try defaulting those values by setting the Parameter ID.

Package Quotation item category not populating

Hi,
I am trying to create a package quotation for a package product in CRM 2007. When I am adding the package product to the package quotation, the item category of the package items (components of product package) is not getting determined. I tried adding these items individually (not as a part of package) and the item category was getting determined fine. Has anyone encountered this issue?
Any answers or hints would be very helpful.

Basically, the item category of components in a product package is not getting determined automatically and I am getting the error 'Item Category can't be determined' when saving package quotation.

No quotation found even after message "Quotation 20000051 has been saved"

Dear SAP friends
I am trying to createa quote using the bapi (BAPI_QUOTATION_CREATEFROMDATA2).
It runs with the following message
233 SALES_HEADER_IN has been processed successfully
233 SALES_ITEM_IN has been processed succesfully
555 The sales document is not yet complete: Edit data
311 Quotation 20000051 has been saved.
However when I goto transaction VA23, the field is automatically populated by '200000051'.
When I click on Search, I get a message
"SD document 20000051 is not in the database or has been archived"
What am I doing wrong? Atleast if I can see this quote, I can go to Edit and look for incomplete log, but unfortunately I can't see the Quote at all.
Any feedback will be highly appreciated

Equipment master record updation in Asset master record

Dear Friends,
I have a query with regard to Equipment master record updation in asset master record. Here we have created equipment in Plant maintenance module and we have created asset in AS01 tcode. When we give the asset number to PM module guys, they can easily update the asset number in their equipment master by changing the equipment master record.
But when we enter the same in asset master record in 3rd tab allocations tab, initially it is accepting the equipment details like equipment number, category, object and tech description, but the same is not available after saving.
Please let me know whether I have to do any customization in asset settings inorder to get the equipment number populated in asset master record.

Automatic creation of an equipment using the serial number

Dear All,
I know that we can configure the automatic creation of an equipment while creating a serial number. I would like to know if some of you have details on how the creation is performed. In particular:
I saw on an other thread that the descirption, serial number are populated on the equipment from the material master data, but is there any possibility to classify the equipment with the classification assigned to the material master data ?

i have created a quotation for which the first line item(higher level item) is a configurable item for which the value of the field use (vbap-vkaus) is blank and the line items the use field is given as 'HIDE DISCOUNT'.
when i created a order with reference to the above quotation i am not getting the value "HIDE DISCOUNT" populated for the line items for usage field ..

Problem in Extension of VBAK during Quotation creation Using BAPI BAPI_QUOTATION_CREATEFROMDATA2.
I have some Custom field of VBAK in Addional data tab B of transaction VA22.
I am populating these fields using BAPI_QUOTATION_CREATEFROMDATA2.
Passing table parameter EXTENSIONIN as shown below.
some of the fields are getting updated with these BAPI but some are not.
Say for example I added two custom field ZRORD and ZEON in table VBAK and Addional data tab B screen as well.
To get these field updated by BAPI I appended these two fields in structure VBAKKOZ ,VBAKKOZX and BAPE_VBAK.
Field ZRORD is getting updated but facing problem with ZEON.Please help.
For ur info,If I run transaction VA22 and enter some value in ZEON and click on SAVE then its getting updated.
w_bapiparex-structure   = 'BAPE_VBAK'.
w_bape_vbak-zrord = 'xxX'.
w_bape_vbak-zeon = 'x'.
w_bapiparex-valuepart1 = w_bape_vbak.
APPEND w_bapiparex TO t_bapiparex.

Populating parts of form based on Value entered in the first field

I am trying to create a form, where user will enter the serial number of his equipment and I want him to click a verify button next to it.Upon clicking the verify button I want the Item Description field of the form to be updated ( this info is pulled from a backend MySql DB).Also, the text fields corresponding to the Equipment Site to be populated.After checking all the info, user should be able to click a submit button at the end of form and this information should be written to another table.I attached a Insert record server behaviour to form.Essentially, I want to attach a different action to both buttons on the form.In my view this is same a when we fill those registration form and based on our country, our state drop down gets populated.It seems this is doable, but I am not able to figure out how.I would really appreciate any help

This is very simple if you understand PHP code. Basically, you give the two buttons different names, and use PHP conditional logic to control what happens. Call one button "verify" and the other "insert". If you use the POST method, you control the script like this:

If you're not comfortable coding PHP yourself, the easy way to do it with Dreamweaver server behaviors is to use separate pages. In the first page, just create a form for the user to enter the serial number. Use the GET method to send the serial number to a separate page. In the new page, use the URL parameter containing the serial number to create a recordset to populate the insert form. Then apply an Insert Record server behavior using the POST method to insert the details into a new table.

'Description Field' - only shows in Contract Screen not Quotation Screen

I am in the process of creating some functionality where an Opportunity is created in CRM, then Quotations are created from these Opportunities... The winning Quotation is released through to R/3 and then a Contract is created from that Quotation. My problem is:
When the Opp is created the user adds a 'Description', when the Quotation is created the Description is still in the header data, once the Quotation is released into r/3 the Description is there at table level but not on screen anywhere - whereas when I create the Contract the field (albiet noit populated) is on the screen...
My question is - How do you get the DESCRIPTION field in the Quotation Screen VA21-VA23 - they seem to be using the same screen number as VA41-VA43

Items Price population

Hello,
I am unable to understand the workings of the price lists. I have defined the various price lists and given the pricing accordingly to each of the items.
Next, I have specified the default price list for each of the Business Partners, so that when creating a transaction such as Sales Quotation or Purchase Order, the price of the item from the default price list can get populated on the transaction screen. However, the price does not get populated and in some cases, a completely different price (INR 16.00 instead of INR 1950.00) gets populated.
I am unable to understand why the prices do not get populated. And where does the value INR 16.00 get populated from. I all cases, I am talking about the unit price of the item while creating the transaction. I have not defined any special prices nor any Hierarchies/Expansion.
The Hierarchies/Expansion doesn't work either, but that is another issue. Or is it related in anyway to this problem?

In SAP Business One a specific hierarchy determines how a price is selected in a marketing document.
In the Item Master Data, the price which can be seen in the 'Price list' -> 'unit price' field displays the price for that item in that specifc price list, it has no effect on the selection of the item's price in a marketing document such as an AR invoice. Annual Maintenance Contract for Equipment Pieces in SAP

Hi All,
I am aware of the standard SAP function of Service Procurement.
However my requirement is as follows:-
1.I want to create a 'F' Account Assigned service Purchase order (Annual Maintenance Contract) with a option in the PO screen to enter equipment numbers.On saving the PO,dynamically a Maintenance order should get created with the equipment pieces in the object List.
2.The P.O number of AMC should get dynamically populated in the equipment master view for the equipment pieces mentioned in the AMC.
3.During Notification or Maintenance order creation,I want to use the OIK(Object Information Key) or any other pop-up screen for information regarding the AMC PO Number with validity period.
4.During Service entry preparation want to put the equipment number,for which AMC activity has been performed.
5.Finally want to generate a report to display the equipment pieces for which AMC activity got missed.
Request all to provide a solution for this as all maintenance services have been hired for my equipment pieces and I want to utilize all the standard SAP reports.

Dear Sujoy,
If you exactly require the same way what you have written, it would be a product development and not recomended.
Follow the cycle described below.
1. Create a Contract with F & D (Services & Assigned to Maint Order).
2. Create all required Equipment.
3. Create Equipment Task List with External Operation Control Key and assign the Contract Number for each Opeartion. (Service values from contract will not be updated Automatically, either update manually or do a development for this part).
4. Create Maintenance Plans an dinclude the Task Lists.
5. Orders are generated with PR's with reference to Contract.
6. Let them release monthly or fortnightly PO's.
7. On Submission of Service report, create SES and release.
In this way you will have complete Maintenance History with cost & control.
