Pop up window: "Firefox Safe Mode". says: "Firefox is now running in Safe Mode, which temporarily disables your custom settings, themes an extensions". Then it shows list of items to select to make changes. Final choice press on "Continue in Safe Mode" or "quit". We do not want to make any changes to our settings. Pls. help what does this mean and what should we do. Thank you

Google Mail recently implemented additional security measures "for your protection" of course. The manifestation of that may be the requirement to create a unique, "application-specific" password for each one of the various Google services you may use. That requirement probably includes Google Mail. So if the above Apple Support document doesn't resolve the problem, research Google's application-specific password requirements, and how to configure Mail to use it.

I have converted most of my windows media files to itunes. However I had to close it down about 3 quarters of the way through. It then processed the album art. How can I convert the files that it didn't finish doing the first time? thanks

hope you can help me. I helped my sister convert her window media files to itunes and set up an account for her. Unfortunately her computer is really slow and it was really late and we had to turn it off. It processed some of the album art for the files that it had converted. However, some songs were not converted and because there was quite a few left, I don't really know which ones did not get converted as I selected all of the folders. How do I find out which ones I have left to convert and put the rest of the songs onto itunes for her please? Or are they on the itunes still as they showed up initially on itunes in the list to be converted.

You could convert them all again and then dedupe, or use a Windows search to reveal all the WMA files and then try to work out which still need to be converted. If you're lucky iTunes would have processed the imports in alphabetical path order so it would just be a matter of working out where it had got up to...

Why is my Acrobat Pro now running in "Trial" mode?

Today when I attempted to launch Acrobat v10.1.12 (previously installed with CS6), I was prompted to sign in.
When I signed in, I am alerted that I am running in “Trial” mode. I am licensed to use Acrobat Pro through my CS6 license.
I recently signed up for CC in order to open and work on newer files provided to me.
Is this issue is related to the CC subscription, and how can it be resolved?

When i try to enter a site that requires a password, i get a popup window that requires a password from firefox. I want to remove that!

Firefox thinks Adobe Flash Plugin has crashed when running in debug mode! How do i get arround this?

When testing my flex application in debug mode, my debug session is closed every time because Firefox thinks the flash plug-in has crashed.

Firefox keeps opening offscreen. I used the move function to get it back onscreen but everytime i reboot it happens again. Is there some setting I can change?

I have 2 displays hooked up, a monitor and my TV(which is usually off). When I hover over the Firefox icon on the taskbar I can see Firefox and the tabs that are open but when I click on them, click restore or maximize nothing happens. i was able to get it back using the move command and somehow either using the arrow keys or moving my mouse I was able to drag the window onto a visible area of my monitor. Is there some setting I need to change so that I don't have to do this every time I reboot? I'm running Windows 8.1. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Firefox stores the last window position in a settings file that can occasionally become corrupted. You could try removing that file and see whether Firefox correctly identifies your primary monitor. Here's how:
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button to open a new window showing your currently active settings files.
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
* (menu bar) File > Exit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename '''localstore.rdf''' to something like localstore.old

This morning, Firefox stopped opening .pdf documents that I am trying to retrieve from websites. It does not download them, and the page goes blank, with nothing more happening. What do I do to fix it?

I went to the FAA website, and I needed to review a document. I clicked on the link, the page turned blank, but I never saw the document. I tried again, but I still could not get the document. Word documents still bring up the dialog box allowing me to open the document. I went to another website to find additional information on the project I am working on, and I am experiencing the same problem, when I click on a link to a pdf, it will not open, and the download dialog box does not open.
I have tried looking at applications and plugins, but everything seems to be fine. What do I do to fix this?

I cannot get firefox to open my passwords. What do i need to do? I use the app pass key and cannot register. Does anybody know what i can do?

I go on the loggon/registration page and i can only get to the loggon part and am not able to register. None of passwords load when i visit a frequently used website I know i am missing something but can"t figure it out.

Do you see any passwords in the Password Manager?

I can no longer save emails or documents to file. How do I restore that function withoutrestoring to a previous date, which as I understand it might dele te all changes I have made to software subsequent to the restoration date?

When I hit "save as" and view the field that comes up, it does not give me the option any longer of saving to my personal file. This problem started a few days ago, when it took me into my personal files and allowed me to select a specific folder to save the document in, but no longer gave me the option of hitting "save" into that file folder. Ah yes school boy error there out of frustration and discontent..
My issue is with music/apps/films etc not downloading from iTunes / App Store.
They initially fail and message is displayed stating unable to download / purchase at this time, yet if I retry it says I've already purchased (?) or alternatively I go to the purchased section and there they are waiting with the cloud symbol..
However some items get frozen in the download window and cannot be retried or deleted. Message appears stating to tap to retry, but even if you stole every bath and sink in the uk you'd still not have enough taps.
I post here as the iTunes guys are useless in there 'help' and have only advised posting here or phoning apple, at my expense, to explain a problem that could be rectified by forwarding my original email to a techie. However the tech team apparently don't have an email address as they're from ye olde Middle Ages..!
Anyways I digress.
So I tried sync to pc, but instead of showing the file as ready to listen/use/view, the iCloud symbol shows and I'm back to square one as the item is unable to download..
At frustration station waiting for a train from pain...
All my software is up to date, and had all worked fine prior to the last big iOS update that resulted in all the changes in display and dismay.

I am having this problem. At first with the new iPhone 5, and then with the iPad 2. I am not sure why this is happening.
My gut feeling is this is an iO6 issue and here's why -
The problem mainly occurs with apps. I have about 150 apps, and when I plugged in the phone, iTunes went to sync all of them. The process would hang up after about 20 - 30 apps were loaded onto the phone. I could tell where about the process hung up because the apps on the phone showed up as "waiting".
Then on the iPad 2 I plugged in to sync and saw there was a huge "Other" component in my storage. It required me to restore the iPad 2 from backup. With this restore the same issues occurred - putting the apps back on the iPad would hang up. The videos on the iPad also got stuck - maybe after about 10 hours of videos transfered iTunes crashed.
My solution has been to soft reset the device, restart Windows, and continue the process until it's complete. This is remarkably inefficient and time-intensive but everything works with patience.
I have been wondering if others have had these same problems.
