Es una autentica verguenza que Apple se desentienda de este grave problema. Resulta muy claro que es un problema de hardware, es decir, que el culpable es Apple por fabricar un wifi y BlueTooth que es defectuoso y se estropea. Es obbio que la solucion que aportan en el enlace http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559?viewlocale=es_ES no sirve absolutamente para nada. Tengo que decir que he sido un comprador de Apple habitual y que tengo el iMac de 24" el iPad 2, iPad mini, iPhone 3G y iPhone 4S, el que me ha fallado hasta ahora es el iPhone 4S, pero no me parece de recibo que un telefono tan caro como es el iPhone se tenga que estropear a los 2 años de haberlo comprado y Apple se desentienda totalmente del problema, por todo ello no pienso comprar ningun producto mas de Apple.

Your contacts should still be on whatever program you sync your iphone to (i.e. Outlook, address book).
The iphone is not a stand alone device. It is designed to be synced with a computer. If you have not been syncing with a compatible program, then you are out of luck. Your contacts are not included in the back-up because it is meant to be synced with your computer.

Apple, as I'm sure you know, now manage official phone 'unlocks' directly rather than the Newtork doing so.
When a GSM Network Provider buys a consignment of iPhone's they are locked to that carrier and may only be officially unlocked if said carrier requests it. If so, it is Apple who do this, via iTunes.
I am therefore inclined to think that part of the any generic iTunes syncing process involves the transmission of key hardware data, including IMEI, to Apple whenever the handset is synced.
If this is the case and, as each iTunes account is linked to a credit card, were Apple to maintain a database of genuinely stolen phones (ones reported to Police) they could advise said Police force when a stolen phone stuck its metaphorical head over the parapets once again? They would be able to identify the name & address of the new user.
I have spoken to the Police here in Ireland today and they regularly engage with Apple on such matters.
This may not be tracking as we know it Jim, (not using GSM Triangulation or GPS) but it's arguably even more targetted and leaves an indelible fingerprint of guilt on the thief.
The laws here are simple in this regard, if you are in possession of stolen property, knowlingly or otherwise, you forfeit the goods once the Police show up. Whether you get prosecuted depends on whether you stole the goods or were duped into purchasing them.

Unpair the headset from the phone with the problem. Restart the phone (hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears), the pair the headset again. Also, look for things nearby that may be causing interference in the Bluetooth band. Cordless phones are a common cause of interference.
