por un momento se puso gris el boton de Wifi, no podia activarlo. ahora si puedo activarlo pero no detecta ninguna red.

Tried everything. Reset my iPod touch to fresh version of iOS 6 and still issues. I believe that there is a bug.

I am having the same problem, but I think I might know what's causing it. I just updated my girlfriend's iPhone 4S (same phone as mine) to iOS 6 and was surprised to find that her app store is working just fine. When I opened hers, however, I did notice that the "Categories" and "Top 25" buttons are totally different; and those happen to be the two buttons that are not working for me. Mine shows the same that yours does, while hers has the "Genius" and "Charts" buttons in the place of the two that are not functioning for me. I believe these old buttons are no longer active and therefor are bombing out when attempting to access them.
Now I said I think I may understand the problem, but unfortunately I have no idea what the solution may be. Hopefully this tread doesn't fade away and our problem gets addressed.

I LOVE "remote" app and airport.
Since i have had to restore all my ipods for various reasons, i am now no longer able to download the remote app since apple only supports iOS 5 or later. They have instantly rendered my whole apple setup useless. They are basically telling me that my purchase of their hardware was a mistake and that they only care about people who purchase new things. Which is a great reason not to purchase new things from them.
What i don't understand is why they simply can't put a version of remote (or any app) in the app store for iOS 4.2.1. and earlier? And allow developpers to support their apps for earlier iOS. So little effort to leave 4.2.1 apps in the store. They could even create a special section based on iOS.
Now they are forcing me to consider alternative solutions, of which there are many. I simply would never have bothered to do this before since i was so satisfied with apple products. This is a failure from a business and marketing perspective.

Backing up your current apps helps prevent this loss in the future. Earlier iOS apps are becoming increasingly difficult to find. You may want to look at VintApps, new in the Apple app store, that makes this much easier.

Although there are thousands of available apps to choose from, they will definitively not be the latest greatest.

I could always connect, but I couldn't search for anything.
Just tried the steps in this thread:
Log out (Settings > iTunes & App Store) then did a hard reset (Home and Power button) then signed back in.
That worked for me.

What is the proper way to open the app store for ios

Using Air3.1 to develope a game.
I want to have links on my main menu which will open the iOS app store for a specific application.
The only way I have found to do this is by opening a url "http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=<THEAPPIDHERE>&mt=8"
However, while this does work, so to speak, when I try to go back to the application, it starts up as if it had crashed... and it does several "redirects" before it get's where it is eventually going.
Is there a better/proper way to open the app store?

That page applies to iOS 6. Download the current versions of those apps on your computer's iTunes so that they are in your account's purchase history, then go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPod and see if you can download a previous compatible version of them - you won't be able to download them if the developers of those apps don't support previous versions.

Does everyone need to use the same Apple ID/password for iTunes & App Store in iOS 8 Family share?

I just set up Family share on my 5S and my wife's 5, both running iOS 8. I am the organizer.
In order for my wife's purchases to be charged to my CC (per Family Share setup), does she need to be signed in under my Apple ID and password under Settings -> iTunes & App Store? Or, can she use her Apple ID (that she used with her previous App Store purchases)? Additionally, if she makes purchases in iTunes or the App Store under my Apple ID, does she need to enter my password?
If she's logged into "iTunes & App Store" on her phone, using her Apple ID, will it work?

Java crashes during conversion in app-store mode (iOS)

I have a Flash app that I'm trying to convert for iOS, and adt converts it fine when the target is set to ipa-test. However, if I change that to ipa-app-store, it runs about the same length of time and then pops-up a totally white dialog with the title "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library." Clicking the only available button on the dialog causes the conversion process to terminate. My guess would be that the problem is something that happens at the very end of the process. (And obviously something that is different between ipa-test and ipa-app-store.)
I've tried both Java 1.5 and Java 1.6 and both produce similar results (which leads me to suspect something from an external .dll. Specifically, I tried to blame capicom.dll which Adobe ships, but that appears to be the latest version (which itself has been depricated by MSFT). Also I tried Java various memory setting hoping to jar something into compliance, but all of those efforts have also failed.
I'm without a clue for what to try next. Please help!

I did disable Visual Studio as the default debugger and now my empty white dialog is instead populated with:
Runtime Error!
Program: c:\Program Files(x86)\Java\jre6\java.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Purchased Apps list not always showing up in App Store after iOS 6 update

Ever since I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 when I goto the App Store and try to view Purchased apps it tries to load for about 20 seconds then just a white blank screen appears, sometimes if I click on the screen or hold a finger onscreen the list will show up but that seems like it happens maybe one out of 30 tries, most times it loads to a white blank screen and sometimes it will crash out of the App Store to the home screen. Everything else has been working since the update just trying to view purchased apps from the App Store almost never show up right. On my iPad 2 and all computers the past Purchased apps show up fine.

Try to FOLLOW THESE STEPS
1. setting>general>date&time = set automatically to OFF
2. set your year to 2013
3. off and connect again your network connection and open your app store. wait and see..it should now open!
4. you can set back your date&time = set automatically to ON again.

Still uses the same icon, the stylized A in a blue circle.
Try swiping down from the top of the home page so you get the search field at the top and the keyboard...type App Store and see if it brings it up for you.
An alternate approach is Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout to bring it back to the home screen.

Cannot install apps from App Store after iOS 7.04 upgrade

Hi everyone
I am new to iPad and Apple, and wonder if someone can please help me with this problem. I upgraded to iOS 7.04 yesterday, and today I cannot install any new apps from the App Store. Before the upgrade I could do this no problem. The 2 apps I am trying to download are free ones - eBay and Yahoo Mail.
I have tried to search for a solution in the discussions on here, but have only found threads from Sept 13, which point to Apple's servers being overloaded and people should wait until after the hubbub of the recent upgrade has died down. As it's now Feb 14, I would have thought things would be ok now, so feel my problem maybe nothing to do with that.
Two other bits of advice I found, I have also checked...... The date and time in settings are correct, and I believe I am signed in (but only because a 'sign in' is not showing so that's my assumption). The only advice I have not tried is hitting reset on my iPad as I'm nervous of loosing my stuff.
When I go into the App Store, select the app I want, click 'free' and then 'install', the blue spinning arrow appears. I leave it to install, but when I check later, it's still spinning. I've even left it a good 15 mins, which for those 2 apps would be way more time than needed.
Has anyone else has this same problem, and successfully found a solution? I would really appreciate some advice please.

Try this, press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own. If they don't download at least the timer should stop.

What is the size of your 4s? 32GB?
My iPad mini is 32GB, it cannot be backup to iCloud if just 5GB space. I guess iOS update open up all backup option for all apps. I am trying "delete backup", and you do not need to "restore" since your device is still on your hand.

If you are within 14 days of purchase you can still return the iPhone and get the phone that suits your needs, however, I think you will find that no matter which phone you get the content provider will want to know how you are going to pay for future purchases. For Android phones it is Google, and they will certainly want to know.
