Hi jogama,
When you convert a pdf document to jpeg, there is setting options using which you may reduce the size of the document.
Please check the screen shot attached.

  • Converting a pdf file to jpeg

I want to copy some photographs currently held in pdf to another format such as jpeg. i tried copying a photograph from pdaf into a word document and it appeared with a full page black border line.  Copying photographs in jpeg I do not have this problem.  Please advise how I can convert from pdf to jpeg?
Nothing seems straight forward with adobe.

You should try some third-party PDF image converter or PDF image extractor applications. I have used SysInfoTools PDF Image Extractor many times to extract images and pictures from my PDF files. It can safely extract all the images and save them to a new format: JPEG, BMP, PNG and GIF. You can check its free demo version. Download it from here: sysinfotools.

  • Converting a pdf document to a jpeg image C#

    HI There,
How can I convert a pdf document to a jpeg image using c sharp? I need to do this on a web application. If someone can help me out with some code that would be great.
    Sean - thanks in advance

The information provided by Aandi is unfortunately out of date. The Adobe PDF Library is obtained through Datalogics and has a JNI, Java, and .NET interface available. Additionally while the Adobe PDF Library with the .NET interface would provide the functionality you seek it is overkill.
PDF2IMG from Datalogics has a COM component available that can be accessed via C# to convert PDF to most image formats.

    Hi wsfarnie
You cannot convert a PDF to Jpeg using Adobe reader. Adobe Reader Allows you to open and Read PDF files only.

  • How do I convert a PDF File to a JPEG File?

I have a photo that I scanned. The printer/Computer scans it using Adobe Reader 9. I need to convert the photo to a JPEG file. I have NO idea how to do this.  Can someone please give me an easy to do this?

Again, Reader isn't involved in scanning the file at all. It only opens it when the scan is done because their scanning software is saving it as a .pdf.
Instead of going through a lot of trouble and extra steps to convert the .pdf to a .jpg, simply look at the scanner settings and change it from .pdf to .jpg.

You can do it with OpenOffice.org's Word Processor (I forget what exactly it is called, it may in fact just be "Word") if I remember correctly.
But aside from third-party utilities, there is no way to do it from Adobe Reader, unfortunately.

    Hi JPMartin3,
In order to convert PDF file to JPEG, you'll have to use Adobe Acrobat XI. The link of the product page is mentioned below:

how do I convert a pdf file to a jpeg?

    try this:
    open the file in preview.
go to -> File -> Export
then select JPEG from the format option menu.
a jpeg is a single image so it can only be one page at a time.

  • How to convert an pdf image into a jpeg

I just purchased export pdf and I'm trying to convert from pdf to word or ppt.  The pdf is an image / logo that I want to make a jpeg.  I used the export utility and keep getting random characters and not an image. I'm guessing it's looking for text.  Do I have the right utility?

I don't see converting to Word as the right way to go if you want a picture.
Instead, view in Adobe Reader as large as possible, take a screen shot, paste in PAINT.

  • Poor jpeg quality after converting from pdf.

I am trying to make a book video out of a collection of pdf files in Premiere Elements 11. Apparently Premiere does not take pdfs so I converted the pdfs to jpegs via Photoshop CS5. When I try to run the video the quality of the images is horrible - very pixalated and some of the text is unreadable. Even though Photoshop psd files are said to be useable I get the same results. Rendering did nothing. Help?

What are the pixel dimensions of your jpegs?
    For now, I will assume 1920 x 1080 pixels.
In Premiere Elements 11 Expert workspace, go to File Menu/New/Project and Change Settings.
In the Change Settings area, change the project preset to:
    NTSC
    DSLR
    1080p
    DSLR [email protected]
After OK'ing the above, you will see the New Project dialog displaying your project preset.
Make sure that there is a check mark next to the option "Force Selected Project Setting on This Project" in the New Project dialog, and
    then OK out of there.
Back in the Premiere Elements 11 Expert workspace, use Add Media/Files and Folders/ to get your source files
into Project Assets from where you drag the source files to the Timeline. Render the Timeline content and
determine if the quality of that content playback in the Edit area monitor is improved in comparison to your prior projects.
You might also explore applying fx Effects/Blur & Sharpen/Sharpen (just a little) to the Timeline content.
What is your intended export for your Timeline content?
Please review and consider and then let us know the outcome.
    Thank you.

  • All my pictures .jpeg have been converted to PDFs why?

All my pictures .jpeg have been converted to PDFs and when I click on them I get the following error message: Adobe Reader could not open because it is either not a supported file or because the file has been damaged (example, it was sent as an email attachment & wasn't coded correctly.)
I am trying to open them from the File Explorer /pictures/  and the 'Type' column reads Adobe Acrobat.   I have never changed any .jpegs into adobe.
When I open Reader and look at Pic File Folder nothing shows up. This seemed to have happened some time in the last couple of weeks.
I am using Win 8, all up to date , ASUS laptop, Chrome

Ok, I understand - I only noticed the iPhone reference.
Do your pictures still have the .jpg or .jpeg file extension, or do they actually have a .pdf file extension now?
If they are still .jpg/.jpeg, but automatically open with Adobe Reader or Acrobat, then it is simply a matter of the file association: your .jpg/.jpeg files need to be associated with your default imaging program, not Adobe Reader.
See these articles how to change the file association:

    Hi Gloria,
    Consider:
    CoolUtils.com
You can use the converter for free online.  It will handle most formats.
You can also buy a program that will do almost anything (if you need to convert files more than once in a while.)  Just click on the links along the left side of the page and take a look.  I've used both the free converter and I've purchased software from the company - I am satisfied with both experiences.
This link is cool to have around if you want to make your own icons, too.  Feed it a copy of your favorite tiny jpg file and it will give you back an icon file.  Smiling.
    Good Luck!
