Port Mapping Not Working...at all!

I've been tyring to get port mapping working correctly since I got the AEBS a few months ago. I've scoured all over these forums and the entire internet and found not a single suitable answer. I have my macbook pro setup up wirelessly all works fine except port mapping.
My macbook is setup up manually with a static IP of 10.0.1.2 and lets say i want to map the port 41952. In the port mapping setup assistant on the base station I leave the service setting on "choose a service", public UDP 41952, public TCP 41952, IP address 10.0.1.2, private UDP and TCP 41952. Then I update and router resets... then I use the network utility to check the ports and they're not showing as open, I've used various internet websites as well and the port comes up closed. What on earth am I not doing? Someone please help! or let me know if you are having the problem as well.

You are not performing a valid test.
No, Cable modem plugged into WAN port, the computer i'm trying to open ports on is using a wifi connection with the aebs.
You can not test the AEBS to see if the ports are open from the LAN side of the AEBS. You must be on the internet (WAN) side of the AEBS to test to see if the port is open on the AEBS.

You aren't opening ports on the computer, you are opening ports on the AEBS.

Port mapping not working with 7.5.1

I am having trouble getting Port mapping working with the new 7.5.1 firmware. Port mapping is not working. Port mapping was working fine before update, now all attempts to connect from WAN on ports are rejected. Tested with: telnet <wan-ip> <port>
I have removed and re-added all port mapping entries - no luck. Power cycled several times - no luck.
Other info:
I have an: Airport Extreme (Simultaneous Dual-Band II) running Version: 7.5.1.
It is setup to "Allow this network to be extended"
Network is being extended with an Airport Express with 802.11n running 7.4.2

yeah. I noticed the same thing. now the splash screen comes on without the flashing green squares and just hangs. i tried unintalling and then reinstalling and still no go. kind of annoying but they will probably come out with an update pretty soon

Hey kids,
I've recently scored myself a time capsule and I'm totally loving the time machine functionality, but the airport extreme part is causing me a little bit of grief!
I commonly use applications like transmission and play online games etc, not to mention usually have personal web sharing enabled for work etc.
Since i've installed the extreme i've had loads of issues getting ports to forward outside the local network!
The old router I had (a belkin one) did all this stuff with no hitch at all.
As an example, if I launch say, transmission my port status is apparently "stealth" even though i've got the automatic setup enabled. If I load the airport utility and manually forward the port no difference is made.
Additionally, if I enable web sharing and choose the web sharing service from the airport utility drop down the same stuff happens... port 80 isn't made available from outside the network
Has anyone else run into these issues?

Really frustrated with this problem. Does anybody at least know how to debug the problem ?

Port mapping not working

i have several devices that i have tried setting up port forwarding for, but no matter what i do the ports always report back as closed when i use various websites to check the state of them and i can not get access to my devices. i have a virgin media superhub in modem mode and the time capsule as my router with an airport express as a range extender. i have set the devices in dhcp reservations and forwarded different ports to each one, but after i click update and the router comes back online i check the ports and they are still closed. does anyone have any ideas?

What OS and what airport utility are you running?
When you go back to the TC are the ports saved as you expected?
I would not worry if a web site check does not find the port open.. but yes, the test is does it work, with what you expect in terms of application.
Give us screenshots of the setup.. that is the huge advantage of this forum.. easy to take and post screen shots and we can then get an idea of what is happening.

Have you run it in a debugger? That will show you exactly what is happening and why.

Image map links not working in all browsers

Hi, I develop HTML marketing emails once a week and my boss
has recently informed me that some, not all, of the image mapping
links do not work in all browsers or emails i.e. MacMail, Opera,
Safari, etc. He's positive there's something in Dreamweaver that
makes the links universally accommodated no matter what email/web
browser you use, but I haven't been able to find a solution as of
yet.
Any help on this would be appreciated, thanks!

that when you click on them, you are not taken to the linked
page? Which
links are not working?

Port Forwarding not working between Fios Router and Netgear R6200 AT ALL

For the past two days I've been trying to forward port 80 and port 9000 from my Fios Router to my new NetGear R6200 Router and absolutely nothing is working. I need these ports open and forwarded as I need to forward them to my surveillance system from my R6200. The problem is that port forwarding is not working AT ALL. I've literally tried EVERYTHING. I turned my firewall off completely, enabled DMZ, changed my R6200 to a static IP, turned off uPnP on both sides, and reset my router to factory settings. I'm all out of patience and ideas. This is exactly why I went out and bought the R6200 in the first place, Verizon's Routers are atrocious.
Hardware:
First Router (Gateway): Verizon Fios Aciontec MI424WR
Second Router: NetGear R6200 Dual Band 802.11AC Router
Surveillance System DVR: Zmodo H9114 DVR
OS: Windows 8 Pro 64-Bit
At this point I'm willing to try anything. Fios customer support knew absolutely nothing and wasted my time and if a tech is sent to my house I'm sure the same exact outcome will occur. I recall someone saying that cloning the MAC of a different REV. worked for them but I don't recall the details. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The DHCP Server in the secondary router should be off.

USB ports does not work

Hi I have problems with not working USB ports. It used to work. I downloaded actual drivers at msi.com for my gaming notebook GX 60 Destroyer and now my USB ports does not work. What should I do?

What driver have you updated?
Try to do an EC firmware reset by removing the battery and the AC adapter then put the battery back with AC adapter attached.
Same questions like Pegasus asked, does all ports not working? which one exactly? What OS are you using?
Have you done any changes to the system? (for example: self-install OS or changing OS)

Did you try a hard reset with the iPod still connected to your PC? Have you tried multiple USB ports, preferably high powered USB 2.0 ports?
To do a hard reset, first make sure the hold switch is in the Off position, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Have you also worked through each and every single troubleshooting suggestion in this Apple support document?

Quite possibly. It wouldn't hurt to try another one if at all possible. If you have to, borrow one from a friend. It could also be due to debris in the docking port of your iPod. Take a look on the inside of the port and make sure there is no lint or anything like that. Also look for broken pins as they would definitely cause connection issues as well.

If the left USB port doesnt work with an external mouse its seems to be a hardware malfunction of this USB port.
The newest BIOS is already installed?
Have you removed all USB ports from device manager and restarted your notebook?
If you have already tried this, contact an authorized service provider. The guys can try to fix this issue and it should be covered by warranty, if you still have warranty on this notebook. :)

the used ports appear to be "killed"; the unused USB ports seem to work, but the Mac works in slow-motion.
The only "solution" is to restart my Mac.

I have a mac mini (A1283) with OS 10.7.4. Upon upgrading to 10.7.5 it did not start up again. Instead, the light was on and the hard drive did not start up. The light on the connected USB mouse was not lit.
My solution:
Cold start with Command-v pressed.
This should start Verbose mode (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1492 ).
What happened on my mac mini was that the grey startup screen with the Apple logo appeared for a long while before the login screen came.
Maybe Cmd-v set open firmware params and fixed some corruption.
Anyway: my mac mini works again.
