Port State Coloring in Prime Optical

We are in the process of changing from CTM to Prime Optical. I can't seem to find the Port State Coloring option in the Prime Optical Control Panel. Is this option no longer available, or am I looking in the wrong Place?
Thanks Steve

We're experiencing similar problem when syslog for STP loop (severity 2) is received, recognized as critical but no alarm is created.

  • Cisco Prime Optical Major/Minor releases

    Hello.
A Cisco Prime Optical upgrade from version 9.6 to 9.8 is considered a minor or a major upgrade?
    Thanks,
    João.

Major upgrades are generally considered changing the number to the left of the decimal place. The first ordinal to the right (i.e. .6 to .8) would thus be a minor upgrade.

  • Cisco Prime Optical 9.3.1 and Prime Optical Client 9.3.1

I'm having difficulty getting the prime optical client software to download in an office site. Is there a specific network config needed to pass information when the conection has been set to IP?  I can ping the server and also connect to the root# on CLI but when i connect to the server (HTTP) then click start, the progress bar gets to about 90% then an alarm screen appears with "unable to download application". Text file of alarm added.
I have setup the client sofware on an exact same PC in another office (service pack 3 for XP, Java 6, and Explorer 8 added) and this works fine. All access lists and firewall rules have been checked and are the same for each site. I have removed this test PC and took it to the office site to test the client software installed and it will connect with the superuser profile but will hang with the egg timer when the maps are asked for.

    Hi Philipp,
Please check which CPU processor it the IMB server running with (/proc/cpuinfo file)
If it is an AMD Opteron multicore processor it could be a known issue and we have a workaround.
Please file a SR, so that we can work with BU on this to fix it.

  • RSTP Port States

    Hi,
Can anybody clarify the port states in RSTP.
    Discarding, Learning & Forwarding.
Does the port state move to 'Blocking' after it finds a redundant link or 'Discarding'

    Hello Pratik,
a good review of port roles can be found f.e. at

  • Receiving email notification of port state changes

    Hello
    I have a small SAN comprising 4 x MDS9509's and a Fabric Manager Server.
The FMS is set to email fabric events, but it doesn't email on port state changes i.e. IF_DOWN_LINK_FAILURE and IF_UP. I'm assuming this is because they are not actual fabric changes.
What is the best way for me to be able to receive email notification of these changes?
    Thanks
    Steven

    You can use callhome
    MDS(config)# ip domain-lookup
    MDS(config)# ip name-server
    MDS(config)# snmp-server contact
    MDS(config)# callhome
    MDS(config-callhome)# email-contact <[email protected]>
    MDS(config-callhome)# phone-contact
    MDS(config-callhome)# streetaddress
    MDS(config-callhome)# enable
    MDS(config-callhome)# transport email from <[email protected]>
    MDS(config-callhome)# transport email smtp-server
    MDS(config-callhome)# no destination-profile short-txt-destination alert-group All
    MDS(config-callhome)# destination-profile short-txt-destination alert-group Syslog-group-port
    MDS(config-callhome)# destination-profile short-txt-destination email-addr <[email protected]

  • SPA2102 FXS port state monitoring

    Hi all,
Is there any way to get FXS port state for LinkSys SPA2102 VoIP adapter (i.e. is there a phone that connected to it or not) remotely, for example, via SNMP ?
    Thanks.

    Here's the bug ID: CSCse15025
Doubt the NM is faulty - we had the same issue in a 2821 and migrated to 12.4(4)T4 to correct it. No hardware replacement required. All has worked fine since then.

  • How do you change the bottom state colors in CC?

I am about to pull my hair out. I have been using Muse for 2 years and I guess there has been an update or bug. I added a horizontal nag bar, but I can't seem to find the menu or "pop up" box to change the colors of the menu states. I can't launch this site. I am in my master clicking on everything trying to get that box that allowed you to click on the state and bring up the color palate?
    Any takers?

    1. Choose a menu item.
    2. Select the different states in the left corner of the upper command strip or in the "states"-panel.
    3. Choose the fill color for every state in the upper command strip.
You write "I have been using Muse for 2 years and I guess there has been an update". There have been many updates since in this 2 years. Zhe current version is "2014.2".

  • LMS 4.2 - Err-disable port state

    Hello,
I'm trying to figure it out how exactly LMS learns about ports in err-disable state? Which MIB or command is used?
I have two ME3400 switches with err-disabled ports but LMS shows only the ports of one of the them. Both switches are ME-3400-24TS-A
and have the same IOS version (12.2(53)SE). I'm sure data collection is running fine because it updates the other discrepancies.
What i have tried by now:
    - did an SNMP walk from LMS on CISCO-ERR-DISABLED-MIB - no info found there on port status
    - did an SNMP walk from LMS on CISCO-STACK-MIB - I know that this MIB contains object portAdditionalOperStatus (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.4.1.1.23) which shows the operational status of the ports, but it seems that ME3400 does not support it (although it supports CISCO-STACK-MIB), because I cannot see the SNMP reponse in the trace:
    ========================================================================
The following is a SNMP walk of device 192.168.6.89 starting from .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.4.1.1.23
    SNMP Walk Output
    .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.4.1.1.23
CISCO-STACK-MIB::portAdditionalOperStatus = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID
    ========================================================================
So how does LMS knows which ports are in err-disable state?
    Kind regards,
    Velin

    Hello,
The OID that LMS uses for detecting the err-disabled state of the ports is 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.548.1.3.1.1.2 (cErrDisableIfStatusCause) from CISCO-ERR-DISABLE-MIB

  • Cat 500 disabled port state

I have a couple of Cat 500 express routers in a two building network connected with wireless access points. I had a wireless drop to due to a user unplugging the wireless AP and my switch put my port into disale state "due to traffic only passing in one direction" Is this something that i can avoid having to deal with in the future or is it software feature that you have to deal with on the lower end switches?

ok thanks i will give that a shot and see if that works. I remember though when I first set this site up I had set each of the ports on those two switches to Access Point...i wasnt able to pass traffic and hit another IP?? I had to set the port to Router in order for it work properly....
    SW1---AP1======Bridge=====AP2---SW2
    thats my layout....
    thanks for the help...

  • Prime Optical Server not keeping correct time.

OK this is an issue that I have been having since we loaded Optical Prime 9.3.1. I thought it might have been solved in OP 9.6, it hasn't.  We are running both on two separate Red Hat 5.8 servers that are spot on to the NTP server we have.  The NTP is tied to a GPS Strat 1 source. We have tried every setting we can think of.  It's not a small drift either.  Current time on both RH servers is 1956 UTC. the 9.3.1 OP says 0207 UTC tomorrow, and the 9.6 OP server shows 0443 UTC tomorrow.   It is frustrating to my Techs and me.  I have told them to use the NE alarm time on the screen for tracking tickets.
I need help. it is causing problems with data collection and analysis. things I can do in CPO I have to collect from 117 different NE's.
    Thanks for any suggestions,
    Steve

try tp cheack nymber of ntp procceses and leave only one like in example:
    [root@CPO ~]# ps -ef | grep -v grep | grep "ntp" | wc -l
    2
    [root@CPOn ~]# ps -ef | grep -v grep | grep "ntp"
    ntp       2040     1  0 Jan23 ?        00:00:01 ntpd -u ntp:ntp -p /var/run/ntpd.pid -g
    root      2051  2040  0 Jan23 ?        00:00:01 ntpd -u ntp:ntp -p /var/run/ntpd.pid -g
    Stop CPO - opticalctl stop
    [root@CPO ~]# kill -9 2051
    [root@CPO ~]# ps -ef | grep -v grep | grep "ntp"
    ntp       2040     1  0 Jan23 ?        00:00:01 ntpd -u ntp:ntp -p /var/run/ntpd.pid -g
    [root@CPO ~]# ps -ef | grep -v grep | grep "ntp" | wc -l
    1
Cheack command "prefer" after IP of NTP server in /etc/ntp.config file.
    Start CPO - opticalctl start

  • Changing the down state color of the Tab Bar

This is probably an easy one.
I have a tab bar that controls my viewstack. I created a new
css to modify the tabbar colors. This works just fine. I have
wonderful purple and white tabs...But when I click a tab it is
using the default blackish/green color and I can not figure out how
    to change it.
Anyone know how to do this?

  • HDMI Port, Wrong Color Space, Here MIGHT be the best solution.

So, I've been searching the forums, and couldn't find the solution. Today I finally found the fix.
I had been trying to find a solution to this problem where a monitor is attached to HDMI and the Mac Mini [late 2012, 6,2] thinks it is a television and uses the wrong color space.
Doing some google-fu, I stumble across this site:
    http://ireckon.net/2013/03/force-rgb-mode-in-mac-os-x-to-fix-the-picture-quality -of-an-external-monitor
I followed the fix, and bingo.. I can look at my monitor again without my eyes bleeding.
    Thanks ireckon.net, you saved me.
PS... if this solution has already been found, Forgive the double post. It seems a lot of people are still looking for it.

    Fantastic post, tip, find... thanks!
