Portal 7.0 and CRM 5.0 Create a new Role and enabling Quick Create.

Hi Experts,
In our Portal Scenario, we need to create a new Role and to customize it with some iviews(CRM BSP iviews).
The role was created and it works fine; in fact in the navigation it is possible to navigate in these BSP application:
1)Account
2)Products
3)Activities
My question is the following: I see that in the standard role <b>com.sap.pct.crm.salesmanager</b> (contained in the Business Package for my SAP CRM 5.0) it is possible to see in the portal desktop the functionality "Quick Create", how it is possible to enable the "Quick Create"??
Kind Regards.
Eugenio

Hi Eugenio,
Did you find how to do that? I am facing the same problem.

Mauricio

  • Create a new role in SRM 7.0 and Portal

    Dear All,
We are using SRM 7.0 with Portal.  We created a maintenance table in SRM. This table must be maintained from time to time by the key users. But they want to maintain in from Portal, not from SRM.
When i was using SRM 4.0, it was simple, i was creating a new role from PFCG and assigning the table to the role. Then i was be able to see and maintain it from web. But it is not that simple now in Portal side. Because i created a new role and assigned the table to that role in SRM, but nothing happened in Portal side.
Can anyone advise me the steps ? How am i going to show and maintain this table in portal  ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Best regards,

Hi,can you share your solution with me. I have the same question but not smart as you.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Portal Login id and Credatinal pass to dot net application

    Hi Experts,
I want to know is it possible to pass the portal login id and other details like Name and organization to an dotnet application.
If it is then how can we do it.
    Please do the needfull. Important
    Regards,
    Swapnil

    Hi Sarbjeet,
I first thought of creating URL Iview and passing the user id and other required details as parameter to that URL Iview.
Then reading your mail i thought of creating a web dynpro java application and then pass all the required values to the url in the application only but i am confussed how i will call the dot net application.
If you have a better suggestion please let me know how to do it.

  • How can I uninstall a damaged installation of Fusion - PFRD 11.1.1.6.0 - Oracle Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer

    Hello,
I am upgrading EBS 11i to 12i, Discoverer 4 to 11. After completing ebs installation and upgrade successfully, I am now working on the Oracle Fusion piece of the upgrade.
    I have installed
    1. JDK
    2. Repository Creation Utility - RCU (schema)
    3. Weblogic - WLS 10.3.6
    4. Oracle Fusion - Discoverer 11g Release 1 Patchset 1 11.1.1.2.0 PFRD
    5. Oracle Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer 11g Patchset 11.1.1.6.0 - Patchset 13517084
    6. Executed config.sh and it failed with but continued.
During the Configuration of Oracle Fusion with config.sh there was failure at with "fails at creating data sources" and accidentally proceeded and all seem to go well until after shutting down the servers when Weblogic Managed Server is unable to start.
The start log indicated: "weblogic.store.PersistentStoreFatalException: [Store:280105]The persistent file store "_WLS_WLS_DISCO" cannot open file _WLS_WLS_DISCO000000.DAT." and I have been unable to find a solution for this error?
See log file error at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15497130/oracle/ebs11/startManagedWebLogic.sh_nohup.out
If re-installation is my only option, then what are the steps to uninstall, and which components do I have to uninstall given that I had upgraded all the schemas involved?
    Mathias

    Hey,
You can always change the JDBC datasources in the Weblogic admin console . but have you recorded what is the specific error you got during the datasources creation .
I prefer...create a new user , give him sysdba privillages . Start RCU and create the DEV_DISCOVERER , DEV_DISCOVERER_PS schemas (prefix is your choice)
The Admin server will start . so go to admin console .
    click services -> Data Sources
Check the data sources you have . edit each datasource and update the connection pool information .
after this you can start the Managed server WLS_DISCO
i believe this will solve this .........
if you still get issue again . you can try the link Using the WebLogic Persistent Store
    Thanks

  • Install and config issues with Oracle Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer

For a while now I've been struggling with migrating a testing database to a newer version.
And right now I'm pretty much stuck at trying to configure Oracle Portal, Forms Reports and Discoverer
    What I've got:
    Windows server 2008 R2 64bit
    Oracle 11g database
    Java 6u27 64bit
JDK 1.6 64bit (using this after 1.7 ended up throwing out bugs while trying to start a weblogic server)
    JDK 1.7 64bit
Weblogic 10.3.5 (or so i think - I've installed from the wls1035_generic.jar from the oracle website)
PFRD 11.1.1.2 with 11.1.1.3 installed over it, installed without config
    and a hanging up configuration
Basically I've been trying to install PFRD (only forms, reports and enterprise manager from it actually) but it kept failing once it got to the configuration stage, so I installed without config, applied 11.1.1.3 and now trying to run the config manually with the good old \bin\config.bat
Result - the config froze for approx.18 hours then failed
There isn't much useful info I could deduct from the logs, mostly just says one or more configuration parts failed. At one place it mentions trying to set up a domain and starting up an adminserver for it - and apparently that's where it hangs up and finally times out and fails.
I'm a little clueless what to do about it as the logs don't say anything else of use I could understand. Any ideas there?

Trying the step by step, the only difference between that and what i do seems to be the file copying (which I can't do - there is no windows\extra\ directory anywhere, the files mentionned seem to already be on their places and either only there, or exactly the same) and clistering
So far the news ain't good - the config process hangs on creating domain ->Step Creating Domain started
It isn't frozen per se - the process doesn't use up any processor time, memory consumption within bounds, it reacts to button clicks and all..it just doesn't do anything concerning the said domain
the last thing the .out file shows:
Creating a new AdminServer Object ...
    AdminServer port is 7002
    Starting the domain ...
LOADING DLL : E:\OracleDb\Middleware\develtools\install\config\\StartUtil64.dlland in the log:

does that clear up anything for you though?
..can the lack of SOA suite have anything to do with the problem?

Since your weblogic is on version 10.3.3, you can only succesfully configure your fusion middleware when you are on version 11.1.1.3.
So (1) restart the install of fusion middleware 11.1.1.2, (2) choose install type INSTALL ONLY, (3) start installation of fusion middleware 11.1.1.3 and finally (4) configure fusion middleware using AS_ORACLE_HOME\bin\config.bat

  • Help in Installing Oracle Portal,Forms,Reports and Discoverer(11.1.1.2.0)

    Hi,
I am trying to install Oracle Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer 11g (11.1.1.2.0) for Linux x86-64.
I have installed weblogic 10.3.5 generic jar file.
When i try to install forms and reports server the configuration step fails while creating weblogic domain.
Please help me installing portal and reports.
Is there any patch i am missing or the weblogic version is incorrect?
    Thanks.

You cannot configure Fmw 11.1.1.2 against WLS 10.3.5. They are not supported nor compatible.
If you want to use WLS 10.3.5, you need to "install" 11.1.1.2, but do not configure. That is an installation option. After you have successfully installed 11.1.1.2 you will need to patch it to 11.1.1.6. After patching, you then can run the configuration (config.bat).
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/install.1111/e10421/install.htm#CLINS256
Version 11 is far more complex than previous versions. I strongly encourage everyone to review the product documentation before trying to install. You can also refer to the following MyOracleSupport note:

  • Weblogic portal external authentication and authorization

In our project we are using Weblogic portal 10.3 and Oracle 11g as back end. While creating the domain, I have specifed Oracle as back end. All the portal relevant schemas are created in Oracle database. For our application, We have created a specific schema. In a project specific schema, we have user table which containing fields like user name, password, email and other relevant fields. How to configure in weblogic to access this table for authentication instead of the user table in portal schema? As well as I need to know, in a admin console if a new user is created then the details will be stored in a portal schema table or in a project schema user table? Ultimately, I want to configure the project specific table to store the user details when the user created via admin console.
    Need this urgently.

    Hi Rajesh
Basically you need Custom Authenticator to store and authenticate all your users from your own specific DB Tables (that has user information). For this you need to develop Custom Authenticator. Please note that this has nothing to do with the Portal. This is core weblogic security stuff. I compiled some links for you. Incase if you have Oracle Support, open a ticket with them Oracle support do have a fully working sample custom RDBMS Authenticator that stores and authenticates Users from specific set of custom Tables. They will send you right away. I hope someone in these forums may have this sample also in their personal blogs/forums.
And, Yes, you can force your Custom Authenticator to be the default one and to store the users when you create the users in Admin Console. Basically when you create the users you should see the option like to create the users in which Authentication Provider like that.

  • Oracle Portal,Forms,Reports and Discoverer 11G

    Good evening
    I installed the following products
    * Oracle Database(to the 1st computer)
    * Repository Creation Utility
    * WebLogic Server(to the 2nd computer)
    * Oracle Portal,Forms,Reports and Discoverer 11G(to the 2nd computer) – during installation I chose forms and reports
Identity Management and SSO are not installed, why they are used for?
While connecting to the base with the help of Visard I open Oracle Forms Builder by and create a primitive form. Everything is good. All are shown. I press Run Form which is written as Oracle Forms in browser and suggests keeping a clear file. Particularly in applied file!
Print screen of my monitor yo can see: http://www.sql.ru/forum/actualthread.aspx?tid=678852
    Thanks for attention.

Thanks for attention.the port which you have mentioned is it WLS_FORMS_PORT or any other.
Try running default Forms port WLS_FORMS_PORT that will be 9001
or check for the WLS_FORMS_PORT in the portlist.ini file.
Also are you getting any exception in the Java console.?

  • Question of the day: Best Portal integration strategy for CRM 7.0?

I would appreciate it if anyone can give me their feedback with the knowledge and background with the Portaland CRM WebUI integration based on the following options:
These are the available options for portal integration:
Option A: Initial Login to CRM WebUI, launch other functionalities from WebUI
All users login through SAP CRM WebUI. Based on user portal roles, available applications are presented using WebUI transaction launcher to open up as new browser windows or within the content area of CRM WebUI
Option B: Initial Login to Portal, CRM and other applications launched from Portal
CRM WebUI is setup as a full screen BSP iView. All users login once through SAP NW Portal. Based on user portal roles, available applications are presented. CRM, BI BOBJ, KM are launched in a separate browser windows. For SAP applications, there is SSO available.
Option C: Initial Login to Portal, CRM and other applications integrated into Portal
All users login once through SAP NW Portal. CRM WebUI is integrated into the Portal content area, and navigation between CRM screens are handled through Portal links.
    Business considerations:
    1.  Single-Sign-On (SSO): The proposed solution should provide an integrated sign on page that allows access to other CRM applications without the user logging in again.
    2.  Frontend navigation: All CRM applications used by business should be accessible from a single location. This should cater for future applications as well eg: AFLS. Ideally there should be a minimum number of windows that a user has to juggle.
    3.  Contextual usability: The related applications should be linked to CRM and launched where it is used to support business operations. If possible, the applications should launch with the particular CRM transaction/record to minimize time required to locate relevant information eg: integrated reporting
    4.  Standardized look and feel: The portal should not change the functionalities of standard CRM and should integrate well in terms of the look and feel of the product and NOL branding
Based on the following business considerations, would Option B a better solution in terms of integration with other CRM applications, integration with other SAP applications (BOBJ, KM), flexibility in integrating with other options, SSO, maintainability and scalabilit.
    Thanks a lot,
    Cecilia

We did option B at our client for CRM 2007. The authetication works perfectly between SAP NW Portal, and SAP CRM. It was one day work with single BSP iView (I beleive).

I execute iviews in preview mode direct from administrator and they execute without problem, but when I login with a different user appears me the first page of reports without  any problem, but if I want to change to another workset, the page donu2019t display any report, only shows me the following message Analysis Bex ad hoc
How can I clear this message to be able to see all the querys and the complete information?
    THANKS

    Hi Sai,
You should contact Oracle RDBMS Support directly. This discussion
forum deals with migrations from non-oracle databases only.

  • New role created and Security zone.

When I create the new role and I need to set the properties for that role. Then after I try to add this role to user and have user test the access.
Why there are some error happen and I need to go to 'security zone' by follow path from the error, then my new role into security zone, then user can access without any problem.
Please anyone explain why do we need to add role again in security zone even though we already set the property to that role in 'content administration.' Please let me know the difference. Thank you very much.

    Hi,
Security Zones are used to prevent unauthorized users from accessing iviews, Portal Components and Portal Services through a direct url used outside of the portal environment. It will be controlled by means of progressive safety levels and permissions, which are assigned by the system administrators to authorized users in the permission editor.

  • Connection between portal (KM system) and external server.

    Hello All,
I need to establish connection between portal (KM system) and external server. At external server, IIS and WebDAV are configured.
So for this reason, I have created an HTTP system and a webDAV repository manager at portal, but not able to connect to the external system.
I have created a webDAV template, but not able see it under KM systems to create a webDAV system, I have even restarted the portal, still no use
Please suggest, any prerequisites need to be done?
    Thanks
    sk

    Hello Supraja.
Yes, ofcourse i already followed the doc.... In the 20th page of the doc, it is said the portal needs to be started, for the WebDAV template to be seen. to go head and creat a WebDAV system under KM systems.
But even after restarting the portal, I cant find the already created WebDAV template. Any guess to reslove it...
    A quick response it appreciated.
    regards-
    sk

  • Viewing same portal through intranet and internet

we built a portal - works on our intranet...we want to expose it to the internet...so we created a new partner app and ran ssodatax as prescribed by oracle...no good. i go to the external url but all of the links (login, home, etc) point to the internal url. i pulled up the PORTAL and ORASSO schema and everything seems correct. that is to say that the entries in the PORTAL tables point to the external address (for the new ID).
    any ideas? thanks in advance.

Larry, this is explained in detail in the Portal Configuration Guide which you can find in the documentation section of http://portalcenter.oracle.com. See 'working with firewalls and load balancers'.
