Portal 7 Startup  has somethings worng

I used Portal 7 on Web 6.1. When I start web server, it shows warning and exception below:
warning: CORE3283: stderr: log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (com.sun.faces.config.ConfigureListener).
warning: CORE3283: stderr: log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.
info: JAXRPCSERVLET12: JAX-RPC context listener initializing
info: CORE3282: stdout: PARSE error at line 6 column 19
info: CORE3282: stdout: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Document root element "taglib", must match DOCTYPE root "null".
How's to fix it?

Hello,
We know that the PS7 is talking to the DS and we are able to see the new created user accounts via the AMserver. We can see this under the TopOrg>CommunitySample and "View" Users.... Two new created accounts via the Create Account Now link.
Thanks,

  • ISE 1.2 Guest Portal - This device has not been registered.

I have setup and SSID on my WLC. I got the redirecting to my ISE guestportal working.
However when I sign in I get a Device regitration Page
"This device has not been registered"
Unable to obtain the user information needed for network access.
The device ID is grayed out and blank.
Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks Johnston,
P.S for those who needs the path ISE 1.2 Administration -> Web Portal Management -> Settings -> Multi-Portal Configurations -> DefaultGuestPortal -> Operations.
    On another note
When I login - I get my acceptable usage policy.
    Accept
Then get a Device registration Portal where I can add the MAC address.
    Now I have two quistions.
When I add my test mac address the url redirects to myservername:8443/guestportal/AfterDevReg.action - unable to connect <- that's the one issue.
The other is - Can't I by pass the MAC? ie once the user is signed on to get access.
Curretly I have the following settings enabled.
    Enable Mobile Portal
Allow guest users to change password
Guest users should be allowed to do device registration <- if I disable that after signon the page just flash back to the guest portal.

  • Disable portal,km startup in multi-application dual stack

    Hello,
We have a dual stack ECC installation with ESS,MSS,Portal and XECO on the java stack. We are currenty trying to run debug against the XECO components on the java stack. It appears that the debugger is getting very slow due to the multiple java applications. We would like to disble portal(km,cm), ess and mss for a few weeks while we complete our debugging with XECO.
Is there anyway to disable the startup of portal, ess and mss?
    thanks in advance
    Vipin

    Hello Vipin,
You can turn off any Java application easily from Visual Admin.
Just login into Visual Admin and goto Cluster -> Server -> Services -> Deploy then in Runtime tab select Radio button Application. You will see all your Java application here. If you see check mark in front of your application, the app is running but if you see "x" sign then it's stopped.
Select your application and click on "Stop Application" button on right side.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Mac powerbook g4 15" Auminum, on startup has a black screen and no signal to external monitor

    Powerbook G4 1.5 Ghz 15" Aluminum
After watching a dvd, I turned the laptop off and closed the lid before the screen was completely dark. I also forgot to take the dvd out. The next day I get a start up chime and a black screen. Will not work with external monitor. Will not let me do pram reset as I couldn't see the picture anyway. Hard drive appears to be fine. I tried swapping the two ram modules. Took the lower one out and still no results. My main question is, before I just geek out and put a new logic board in, what are the possible loose connection  (cables) causes?

This issue is not unfamiliar among PowerPC G4 users, in desktop or portable models.
The cause may vary and so when looking through incidents of a similar nature, try to
be patient and get past duplicate-sounding experiences as referenced by the sources.
There are more than a few in this search thread that sound like your situation:
    https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=powerbook+g4+black+screen+on+startup
Depending on the PowerBook model, some have clock battery/capacitor on logic board
that once it fails, there can be startup issues as a result... So that's one to check. And
then there are the connections that may have come loose on the logic board, over years
of handling and small movement, these could finally have failed to contact finally. Or the
DC-in Board may have chosen to fail, so power may be unable to get past a circuit.
Troubleshooting based on a few symptoms can be... troublesome, tedious; or costly.
The iFixit.com guides have sections where people asked questions, such as:
    https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/131619/PowerBook+g4+has+startup+chime+no+ima ge
The keyboard shortcuts to attempt to force a computer to start may be of no avail if
the hardware has defects, or if wires have come off their necessary junctions inside.
If you have time and some money, companies who specialize in repairing Apple
portable computers could restore its function & warranty their work. wegenermedia
is worth contacting if the computer is one you want to keep around while. They did
a repair for me on one of my Apple portables, and I'd probably go that route again.
So, anyway, if the unit uses a clock or PRAM battery, it may need replacement.
Or in another direction, issue could be a power related circuit failure; or worse.
There are graphic display components that fail at a point where an external &
internal display both won't light up. These are mapped out in iFixit guides or in
others online, depending on the model G4 PowerBook they show.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • IMac G4 startup has slowed to a crawl on 10.4.3

I have used the Tiger installation disc to attempt to repair disk permissions and repair disk. When I run verify disk, it indictes "keys out of order" and gives me a "repair disk" message. When I run the repair disk from the installation DVD, the blue bar moves about 1/2 way. Then everything freezes. Don't know where to go next? Would resetting PRAM do anything to help?

    Hi, Lucy -
A "keys out of order" message indicates damage has occured to the drive's directory. Two solutions for that are -
    • Obtain Alsoft's DiskWarrior utility on CD; boot to the CD and run DiskWarrior. It should be able to repair the problem with little or no loss of data.
    • Boot to your OSX Install CD, then use Disk Utility to re-initialize the drive. If there is an option in Disk Utility to zero-all-data, use that. Select Mac OS Extended as the format. Note that doing this will erase everything on the drive, so be sure you have backed up anything you do not want to lose before doing it.

    Sven,
It sounds like you have a corrupt license file. Try downloading a fresh one
and see if it resolves the problem.
    Sincerely,

  • XP startup has slowed

I have owned my windows 8 computer for 3 years.
I have always used Iobit cleaner and uninstaller to remove and clean things and still search the registry for leftovers manually.
Anyways I also use the run windows (windows key + r) to type in
    temp, %temp% and recent
to open those folders and I DELETE everything inside and never had a problem for the full 3 years.
    HER IS MY PROBLEM:
I have a second computer that I run Windows XP Pro SP3 on and share it with my family, which all think they should constantly install things like Malware-Bytes, super antispyware and AVG. I have also experience AVast, Avira, Mcafee and things like that none
of them help in the perofrmance area. I have never had a virus in this computer for the 12 years that I owned it or any of the other 7 computers that I own and I never have used any security except the default windows firewall and defender. never had a virus
    either.
So after they install these things my computer no longer takes only half a minute to fully load up but almost 5 minutes and then another 2 to load the taskbar and desktop icons.
How do I fix this without uninstalling the worry warts security?
Side notes: I have everything updated that matters such as registry cleaners and I also have never had an actual video card, but this never slowed me down before. It also has 2GB memory and a multi-threaded CPU that is 3.60GHz for its era.

  • Managed Server Startup Sloooow

I have a 10.3.2 WLP environment with some regular managed servers and 1 portal server. All regular managed servers start within a reasonable amount of time (2-3 minutes on average). However, my portal managed server has been taking 1-2 hours to start. No errors in the logs but it eventually starts. In my other environments this same configured portal server starts in 2-3 minutes as expected. In the problem environment there are plenty of resources and memory and system monitoring are showing low usage so it appears to be a WL issue and not a system problem. Any ideas on what may be causing this or ways to narrow it down effectively?
    Thanks

No, we are a Windows shop and use nodemanager and services and use the console to start our managed servers. But I went ahead and used the script to start the server and was able to do a thread dump. Info below...anyone have a decoder ring and can tell me what the problem is?

  • BI portal VS  SAP portal

    Hello,
We are thinking about implementing the BI 7.0 and publishing some reports with it in Portal. Question is should we use the BI portal or SAP EP portal?  We are already having SAP EP 7.0 installed and BI portal (with BI) is also installed.
For performance reason -- we should use the BI portal for report  and links these reports  in main SAP portal so user has one single point of to see the report from SAP EP.
My thoughts on performance on single source of (main) portal for BI and all the other stuff on main Portal  should not be an issue because all the work for querying the reports will be done in BI server, Portal is only show the reports ? is this assumption is correct?
If we have two portal, as system admin we have to maintain two different portals,
What be the best approach (pro and cons) using the BI Portal VS SAP Portal?
    Please advice.

The user details is useSSO so there is no R/3 or portal user involved as per my knowledge
If any one has faced the above problem ,please help me with the solution

    Hi,
It clearly says "User is locked". What you can do is goto http://<hostname>:50<sysnr>0 -> Content Administrator-> Web Dynpro Tools-> Maintain JCO destinations.
Here you can see the list of JCOs that are maintained. Check the user that is used in the JCO for your scenario. This user will have got locked in the backend ECC system. Goto SU01 Tcode of the ABAP system and unlock it.

  • What do you NOT like about Oracle Portal?

Using a theme from a post on AskTom, I thought I would start one that details what customers don't like about Portal.
    I've got a few:
    PPE
When load balancing, it forces us to use NAT in the load balancer. Extra configuration, extra time, etc.
    Java or MOD_PLSQL?
Mod_plsql has been around for a long time. It is robust and stable but a simple Dad for Portal is a mix of Java and Mod_plsql. It is not nearly as clean and stable as a mod_plsql application.
    SSO
SSO should be part of the middle tier, not the Infrastructure. It just adds another hop and another thing to manage.
    PTLConfig
ssoreg is for SSO registration of Partner applications. Easy enough. But wait, it doesn't work for Portal. You have to run ptlconfig for it.
    SSL configuration
Wow, what a pain. A Java application or Mod_plsql application is easy to configure for SSL. Not true with Portal.
    OC4J Portal In Process
Showing the status with opmnctl won't show in-process things like Portal. It can only be seen in OEM.
    Explicit Path
In the HTML Portal generates, it has the full path to everything. I tried just changing the hostname in the httpd.conf file but that doesn't work either. We used setup.exe OUI_HOSTNAME= to change the host name of an install which works ok. When using multiple middle tiers, you have to use the real host name for each server and then use a VirtualHost all because Portal uses the full path instead of a relative path.
    Migration of code
Portal doesn't really support the idea of multiple environments which every large company (which is a big part of Oracle's customer base) uses. Migrating a page group with all content from Test to QA isn't something built in like it should be.
I've got some more complaints about Forms, Reports, Discoverer, and SSO but this is just about opportunities for Portal.

    heh. why so negative?
what about a thread about what you LIKE about Portal :-)

  • Oracle9iAS Portal Installation problem on Windows 2000

I'm trying to install distributed oracle AS environment.
    There are two servers(A, B) with Windows2000+SP2
and one of them, Server A, has domain controller in it.
Server B is a member of that domain.
    In server A,
    I installed Oracle9i and Oracle9iAS infrastructure.
Everything looks fine when I checked with EnterpriseManager website.
These are the components I can see...
    BC4J, ClickStream Collector, HTTP Server Internet Directory, OC4J_DAS, OC4J_Demos, OC4J_Home, Single Sign-On:orasso:7777
All the components are running except ClickStream Collector.
    In server B, as a middle-tier,
    I installed Oracle9iAS Portal/Wireless.
Everything goes fine except Wireless Configuration at the end of the Installation Process.
Ignoring Wireless error, I connected to EnterpriseManager website in Server A.
I can see the <9iAS Portal/Wireless> instance registered that I just installed in Server B.
Click into the <9iAS Portal/Wireless> Application Server, it seems OK except Wireless.
But, when I opened <oracle_home>/assistants/opca/install.log in Server B,
I could find some ERRORS while <configuring portal as a Partner Application for SSO Server>.
    INSTALL_ACTION:createPartnerApplicationConfig()
    INSTALL_ACTION:assocPortalToExistingSSO()
It was sql*plus ERROR, and it says...
    SQL>ERROR:
    ORA-01017: invalid username/password: login denied
Because of this error, I think, Portal DAD creation has failed.
Could somebody can help me with this problem?

    Hi,
The problem of installing Oracle Product on P4 computers comes from the symcjit.dll (Java Jusit in time compiler) which doesn't recognize the P4.
I installed Oracle products on my P4 just by copying the CD's on a harddisk and manually replacing the dll (which is Version 3...) by a one I found to be Version 4.0.0.7.
It is maybe not the best solution as it can result some instability (I don't know yet) but at least I didn't bought a brand new computer for nothing.
The question is to know when Oracle will deliver some patches to allow a normal installation on P4s.
Let me know if you want me to send you the dll.
    Regards,
    Jacques.
