Portal connection test for connector giving error.

Hi All,
In the portal ,
No connection to system SAP_BW found:
com.sapportals.connector.connection.ConnectionFailedException: Connection Failed: A nested exception occurred. Could not initialize physical connection.
Connection Failed: A nested exception occurred. Could not initialize physical connection.
Connection Failed: A nested exception occurred. Could not create JCO connection.
No RFC authorization for function module RFCPING.
Can somebody help in this.
Thanks

But the message is pretty clear - "No RFC authorization for function module RFCPING." Assign authorization for mapped user (or current user in case of SSO)

• Connection test for connectors(SAP R3 system) fail

Hi,
I got an EP system and connected to one existing R/3 system. For the same i have defined it in system landscape of EP.System administration ---> system configuration ---> system landscape. In property editor i have deined all the min required properties.
Application Host 172.16.3.68
Gateway Host 172.16.3.68
Gateway Service sapgw00
Logical System Name ISCCLNT100
Remote Host Type 3
SAP Client 100
SAP System ID (SID) ISC
SAP System Number 00
Server Port 3200
System Type SAP_R3
Trace Mode 1
The system intially works fine. But when
1)There are more users it gives connection error.
2)If there are not much users then also After some time it automatically shows connection error.
Then when I do Connection Test for Connectors,it shows "X" failed.
What I usally try to do,I restart the SQL server.
But this method does not work.I have to restart the EP.Then again the system works fine.
I think there are something wrong input in the property value of SAP R3 object setting.
Hey folks can u please help me in sorting out this problem? Why such connection error happens again and again?

Hi Rajeev,
Thanks for your answer.Actaully I have miss interpreted the problem.Sorry Problem is not with in the SAP R3.
Connection problem is like this::
I have defined a system EPSQL(system alias for MS SQL sever DB) for my EP instance
To connect to database.
The connection tests to the alias is ok.
But as more and more users try connecting to the db the connection test fails.
Restarting the SQL server doesn’t help.
I have to restart the EP instance to get over the problem
I think there are something wrong input in the property value of object setting.or,EP maintains some timeout or max user info...
Do u have any solution?

• Error during connection test for Content Producers in FPN

Hi,
I have a question regarding connection test for content producers in FPN. Please let me explain the scenario,
The portal server (PS1) is in the network domain say "XYZ.com" and we are accessing the portal from different domain say "ABC.com" via browser. We need to configure another portal (PS2) which is in the network domain say "mno.XYZ.com" with PS1 using FPN. We have imported the certificates of portal PS1 (consumer) in PS2 (producer) portal server and done the required trust configurations using VA in PS2 portal server.
Then we created a new content producer object for the PS2 portal (producer) in PS1 portal. But when we did the "Connection Tests" it gets failed with the following error message,
"Could not retrieve the WSDL file; the handshake URL may not exist or may be invalid".
Can any one please tell me why this error message is coming. Is it due to any network connection issue?
Thanks,
Gokul.

Hi Ginger,
somehow, yes :-) I deployed the iFlow for customer master replication. After creating a customer the trace looked different and terminated at the reverse proxy. So the simple connect somehow is not able to do the same...
Cheers
Florian

• RWB - Cache Connectivity Test - Adapter Engine shows error

Hello Friends,
In our one production system (PI 7.1), while do 'Cache Connectivity Test' from RWB -> Component Monitoring, it shows the following error for Adapter Engine under Integration Directory.
Error:
Cache notification from Integration Directory failed Error when accessing the System Landscape Directory.
No SLD elements of type SAP_XIAdapterFramework found
But, Integration Server - ABAP, Integration Server - JAVA shows green color. The messages are flowing through the Adapter Engine fine. i.e I am seeing 2 Adapter Engines under Integration Server in Component Monitoring. One Adapter Engine is in grey and another Adapter Engine shows green color.
When I click the grey color adapter engine, it immediately turns to red color and some different host name url is displayed (http://<wronghost>:53000/AdapterFramework/rtc).
So, what could be the problem ?
Kindly clarify, friends.
Thanking you.
Kind regards,
Jegathees P.

Hello Jegathees
Apply the solution in note #804124 HTTP communication with XI Adapter Engine fails. Set the parameters:
SLD.selfregistration.hostName
SLD.selfregistration.httpPort
SLD.selfregistration.httspPort
as described in the note.

• Function Module to perform authorization and connect test for given RFC

Hello Experts,
I am working on request, which requires checking the RFC status.ie whether both Connection Test and Authorization test is OK for a given RFC.
Please help me in finding the function module for the above request.
Thanks in advance!!!!!!!
Thanks,
Karthik

Hi Karthik,
For connection test you can use RFC_PING as said by Thomas, for checking authorization using Uname/PWD etc use RFC_LOGIN.
My Bad - You cannot use RFC_LOGIN, you can try with RFC_LOGIN_INFO and check the parameter "RFC_LOGIN_COMPLETE".
Regards,

Hi Expert,
We're on SAP Lumira 1.17 and I'm getting attached error when I'm connecting with EC 6 via Query with SQL. I've attached the error log. Can you someone please look into this , how can I resolve this error to connect with ECC.
I'm trying

Hi Antoine,
Thanks for response.
Are you able to connect to this ECC system using either:
- a SAP tool like SAP logon
Yes, I can.
- a BI tool like information design tool (if you have access to it)
Yes, I can access. I can also connect UNX universe which is built on ECC with Webi as well. It's only in Lumira which is not working.
-Can you try from SAP Lumira changing the language used?
Yes, I tried to change different language (US and UK both) but not working.
-As the base error from your log file raised from ECC is
This error log is generated from Lumira only.
Thanks,
Pawan

• Interesting test for report compilation error

I just tried to figure the compilation error I had and I ran
into this :
I delete all fields on my report so the report was empty.
Then I added the backgroud color to the Report header session and
ran the report, it worked fine. Then I add the Label on top of
report header session then I got this error:
Report compilation error. Error at (32, 20: null
Is there a bug on the report or just my problem?
Help!!

Similar issue here. It happens with just a few reports. I can compile them on reports builder, but not using rwconverter.sh I am using 11.1.2.
Any clues so far?

• System Connection Test was not fully tested but all web dynpro java app and Transaction iviews working fine.Any problem for this Kind of activity Lets give some idea.

System Connection Tests
You can test the connectivity to the backend application represented by the current system object. Choose the relevant tests.

What culd be the pblm ?

Hi PK,
in R/3 go to SE37 and check the FM RSBB_URL_PREFIX_GET it will show the details for WAS, I believe the details you gave for WAS are fine.
Now for the issue go to T.Code SICF navigate to the webas path and activate the ping service. This will resolve the issue.
Hope This helps.
Cheers-
Pramod

• I can't connect with using connector

Hi,
I want to create a system(Solman 4.0) in Portal.I have created a SAP system using dedicated application server and then I filled all necessary fields.I tested with using system connection test. There are two test nameS(SAP Web AS Connection and Connection test for Connectors)Firstly, I checked WAS Connection and everything was ok but when I tested "Connection Test for Connectors" it didn't work. When I clicked test button, it said "Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct" but I didn't use UIDPW.I used the Logon Ticket method and system_type is SAP_CRM but when I checked log file, it said this message "(R3/BW) Failed to get connection. Please contact your admin".I didin't understand because I have already used SAP_CRM syte sytem type. Why do I get this message. In addition, The ume.usermapping.unsecure is already on TRUE.In short, I can't connect with using connector. What's the problem?

Hi Vijith,
I perform your suggestion and I got an error message. This error message is written below.
Exception in SAP Application Integrator occured: Unable to parse template '<System.ConnectionString>'; the problem occured at position 0. Cannot process expression <System.ConnectionString> because Invalid System Attribute: System: 'SAP_LocalSystem', Attribute: 'ConnectionString'. .
There is a connection string error but I didn't use by using connection string method.I have used by using dedicated application server. At the same time, I have another error message in the dev_jrfc.trc.This error message is as fallows

• BI iview when published in portal is giving error

HI,
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing your request
Exception id: 12:09_09/04/08_0074_336182350
See the details for the exception ID in the log file.
This is the error , I am getting
When we are publishing from WAD to portal , it is giving the Portal Runtime Error.
If we create the same one step by step manualy it is giving the result.
Difference I found is in both the iviews is : System - BI (alias of logical system in the landscape)
Manually created Iview , System : Sap_LocaSystem
For BI system all the connection tests it is giving successful results .
And in RSPOR_SETUP program , result I found
Status 9 - No check with Portal SID <PORTAL_SID>
Status 10 - No check with Portal SID <PORTAL_SID>
Is this 9, 10 properties should be corrected ?
Thanks and Regards,

• Test connection failed for resource(s): AD: == No route to host\n

Hi, First of all I would like to tell you that the application was running fine few days back, this issue has come suddenly.
I am getting following error while doing connection test for AD with SUN IDM:
Test connection failed for resource(s): AD: ==> No route to host\n
and when I try to open the detail for windows active directory arrow mark from the resource tab, Its giving me below error:
Error iterating over objects ==> com.waveset.util.WavesetException: ==>java.net.NoRouteToHostException: No route to host
I tried to google on this but all are pointing to some network/firewall problem.
Can anybody suggest me the correction ways to resolve this problem. Any idea how I can proceed further.
Thanks,
Jimmy

First of all, I dont know if you even done the proper fault elimination
No route to host is indicative of a network problem that could be based on several different faults.
Simplest way to check, log in to the system running your IdM.
first check if your nameservice is working
nslookup <your fully qualified hostname for the AD gateway>
idmmgr@unix103a:$ nslookup idm-gw.company.com
Server: 139.188.2.1
Address: 139.188.2.1#53
idm-gw.company.com canonical name = win050a.company.com.
Name: win050a.company.com
Address: 171.39.88.145if you get the right response there
try pinging the returned address
idmmgr@unix103a:$ ping 171.39.88.145
171.39.88.145 is aliveIf you have a routing problem it will probably show above...
if the route to the gateway works, it might be the gateway that cant talk to the AD
Just follow the track manually and if it stops working from one point, go past that point (if you can) and see if it works beyond it.
Either way, whatever resource is pointed out in the connectinfo in the pertinent adaptor or connector should work from the prompt of the system running it, if not, then you can start unraveling it from there.

Has anybody faced a problem with Workflow configuration? The version we are using is 2.6.2 on Oracle database 9.2.0.5 on AIX5L. Thanks,

We had this problem on 2 machines.
On the 1st machine, we tried the local install option after a few days (Local option with no connect string) and it worked with no problems!
On the 2nd machine, we could never get it to work even after opening a tar with Oracle. Finally we did a remote install from the 1st machine into the database on the 2nd machine. During the remote install while running wfinstall on the 1st machine, we just had to choose the remote option and the database service name for the connect string.
Thanks,
Chethan
