Portal content TAB(workset) is not apperaing

Hi,
I was working and suddenly i found that Portal Content Tab (workset) disapper. How can i get back the same???
It means in Content Admin role the Portal Content workset removed.

Make sure the hostname you use in your URL (short and FQDN) can be resolved.
ie:
myportal:<port>/irj
myportal.mycompany.com:<port>/irj
eg: in your hosts file make sure
10.23.2.50 myportal myportal.mycompany.com
Also after all the changes you have made, empty your browser cache and also force a GET by using cntrl+F5 key.

This can happen when there is pending moderator action for your content (e.g. someone alerted the moderators to your content). When the moderators will take action, you may receive a notification here: http://scn.sap.com/actions/notifications

My Site-Content Tab- None of the documents are displaying

Hello,
In the My Site content tab documents are not displaying. But when I click on the shared documents I can see all the documents can somebody help me on this.
And in the content tab what documents it should display exactly.

According to your description, my understanding is that none of documents were displayed in the Shared Documents web part in My Content, but all documents were displayed when clicking the Shared Documents link in Quick Launch.
The Shared Documents web part displays the documents in Shared Documents library.
I recommend to check what is the view used in the Shared Documents web part and check if view has documents in it in the Shared Documents library.
This issue may be due to the view in Shared Documents web part is not the same as the view when viewing the Shared Documents library.

How to set different navigation items for each content tab in xMII portal

Hi,
Scenario : I have added three content tabs in the xMII portal.
I want to change the items in the navigation tree when each of the content tabs are selected.
How is this possible?
Please help.

The built-in navigation tree is not intended for this sort of thing, where just like with the tabs it is intended to provide role/user based content links.
You would be better off having your content tab link pass a criteria to the default target frame and allow a web page to give you the second level of dynamics. Your content tab links could be something quite simple like "Page.irpt?Tree=1", "Page.irpt?Tree=2", "Page.irpt?Tree=3" and your irpt page would receive the Tree property and you could react accordingly in your web page.

Portal Content folder does not show in Content Administration

We are using EP6 SP13 in a cluster environment. After 2 weeks of working fine, suddenly the Portal Content shows "Loading..." and does not display the "Portal Content" folder...

Portlet repository-- Seeded providers does not show Portal Content area

When I login to portal as admin user go to administration --> Display portlet repository--> Seeded providers does not show Portal Content area.I tried to search but no results shown.
Any idea as to how to get it back ?

1. From the Portal Object Navigator, click on the Applications
tab.
2. In the "Find" box, type %search% and click "Go"
3. There are 2 reports you need to modify, depending on which
portlet provider you want to use: RPT_SEARCH (owned by
people_app) and SEARCH_RESULT (owned by wwv_system)
4. For each report, click the "Edit" link
5. Click the "Display Options" tab
6. Under the "Full Page Options" heading, change the "Size"
for "Row Text" to 12. (If you are running the reports as
portlets, then you must also change the "Size" for "Row Text"
under "Portlet Options".)
7. Click OK
Search results are now visble using either portlet, the Oracle
Portal provider or the PEOPLE_APP provider.
You may also need to change the field settings on the hierarchy
if now when you run the people search you receive SQL errors.
Here is what worked for me (assuming you want to change both
users components):
1. On the Application Tab search for %search% and %detail%
components. You don't need to change the WWMON components.
Change the font size on the full page and portlet options
(Display Options Tab)for the heading and text (I use 12 and
11pt). Otherwise the default can only be read with a magnifying
glass.
2. The org chart components are slightly different. Search for %
org% and you will find 2 components org_chart and orgchart. Both
of these need to have the column fields changed (Table or View
Column tab) as well as the font size for the Parent, Child,
Grandchild (Display Options Tab). Here are the Table Column
settings (for some reason they are initially blank - yet will
fail if recompiled without values):
People_App.Org_chart
1. key values:
primary key - empno
parent key - manager
start with - empno
ww_system.orgchart
1. Primary Key Column WWSEC_PUBLIC_DIRECTORY.ID
Parent Key Column WWSEC_PUBLIC_DIRECTORY.MANAGER

How to customise portal tab (workset) name

I want to change the name of portal tab name. Like I want to change the standard sap delivered name system administration --> system admin and Content administration to Content Admin.

Edit the System Administration Workset. Its available under Portal Content --> Content provided by SAP --> Admin Content --> System Adminstrators --> Worksets.
Change the name property to the required value "System Admin"
Edit the System Administration Role. Its available under Portal Content --> Content provided by SAP --> Admin Content --> Content Adminstrators --> Worksets
Change the name property to the required value "Content Admin"

The content tab in options is not showing up

I am trying to allow my computer to accept pop ups. I go to Tools, Options, and then Content. The Content tab does not appear to be working. It shows whatever tab I looked at last. For example, I go to the "Security" tab and then back to the content tab. The content tab is the same as security. Then I go to the "General" tab and then back to the Content tab. The Content tab shows the same as the General Tab.

You can also go to View>Show Sidebar in the iTunes menu at the top of the screen. The key command on a Mac is Option+Command+S.

Content tab in options is not operational, cannot allow certain popup windows for sites like pandora and others; that's the tip of the iceberg...

When I go into option menu, then click on the content tab, nothing happens; regardless of the duration of the waiting period, as when you click it and wait, you might as well walk away, because it will not load even if you wait an hour; THE OTHER TABS LOAD (THOUGH SLOWER THAN PREVIOUS VERSION) and function as far as I can determine. There is not the Firefox "One button for everything" at the top left like in the tutorial for this 4th gen. update either, and in general it's functioning rather sluggishly; I think I will be uninstalling the new version tomorrow as soon as I can.

Portal Content area not displaying in Portal

I tried to disable Portal favorites option from Content admin -> Default Frame work Page -> Detailed navigation. Instead of only disabling the default navigation I have disabled the entire Portal content area and I am now not able to see any content in the Portal except the masthead area and the Top level navigation.
Can any one please help me on this.

Hi,
Check the content area iview in the Desktop inner page in framework page.If this iview is not there then it will not show the content area.
If desktop inner page is deeted then also you will not see the content area.
If so please add the content area iview indside the Desktop inner page then you can see the content area for the users.
Content area iview will be available under the following path of the portal
Content Administration > Portal Content > Content provided by sap > Admin Interfaces > Admin Iview Templates > Content Area (view).

In Portal Content admin Role "Portal content" folder is not displaying

I created a user in EP and assign Only Content admin Role. But in portal content area "Portal content "folder is not displaying.

It is because the user has no proper permissions to the porta content folder.
you should give atleast read permission to the portal content folder to the content_admin role or to the users who have content admin role.
also make sure the end user check box is checked at the time of giving permissions.
Otherwise give eevryone group as read permisisons to the portal content folder. then you can see the portal content folder with read permissiosn only.

--> Till yesterday , today morning while checking the day to day activity I found the issue
2. What changes have you done?
--> We didn't change anything in production portal, it is a satnd alone JAVA stack but we have made some some changes in backend R3 system which is a diffrent system on different server
FYI ---> We are facing the problem with portal content not expanding for quite a long time.
3. Which portal version and which sp level are you on?
--> EP 7.0 and SP11
4. Which browser are you using for your portal?
--> IE 6.X

Content tab will not open

When trying to manage my pop-ups under the Content tab I'm finding that the tab will not open. All the other tabs will open, but when clicking Content, the previous tab's info stays on the screen and the Content tab's info (Pop-Up Blocker, etc) doesn't appear.

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?
