Portal Display error
Hi,
We have created a new theme for the Portal, where the "Welcome message" has been deactivated. However, when acessing to the EP, the following error message is displayed:
"Can't move focus to the control because it is invisible, not enabled, or of a type that does not accept the focus".
Thanks
Hi Noel,
Can you help me again with this subject? How can access to the file with the code and change it accordingly?
I have de NW developer Studio installed locally, and i want to change it there to afterwards put it back again to the Enterprise Portal.
Do you, also, know where can i find some documentation about how to work with NW developer studio?
Thanks,
Ana

Dear experts,
We got two users asking about the display error on our HR portal page.
When users log in the HR portal and try to open the Performance Appraisal page, the error message appears within the following error messages:
The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.
And I checked the detail information about the PA page,
Portal Component: com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.BSP
Object ID: pcd:portal_content/com.perlos.PerlosContent/com.perlos.MBO/com.perlos.Roles/com.perlos.MBO_Mgr/com.perlos.MBO_Head/com.perlos.MBO
I don't know how can I check for the display error. Is the Portal setting or some configuration problem for IE?
Please help me, thank you very much.Dear Nolasco,
I think the authorization should be fine.
I used the user's account and log on HR portal on my notebook and switch to HR administration page,
clicking an work list and the Adobe document display with the new IE screen.
All above actions can work fine on my computer, but user's don't.
When user log on HR portal on his computer and change to HR administration page, the work list field is alway with "Loading" image, but the Open processes can show the information.
I just don't know that when the Work list field is loading data, which component will be used? The java component, the SAPGUI component, or something else?
If i can know which part cause the loading image in the work list field, I can check user's working environment.
Could you give me more information? -
Portal Runtime Error when opening Webflow workitem in UWL
Hi,
I have recently configured the UWL to pick up workitems from SAP workflow on a background system. The workitems are appearing OK in the Task folder. However, when I try to open a workitem by double-clicking on it, I get the following error:
Portal Runtime Error
An Exception occurred while processing your request. Send the exception ID to your portal administrator.
Exception ID: 05:33_30/09/10_0010_24209150
Refer to the log file for details about this exception.
NB. This only seems to happen for items that would be shown via the SAP GUI (E.g. a Confirming a task completion or user decision). The workitem runs OK if it is for a task that is visualised as a Web Dynpro app and specified in transaction SWFVISU.
I have not configured Delta Refresh options in the Workflow Administrator so do not know if this is a possible reason (I assumed that this would not cause a problem and would simply mean that refreshes only occur once every 60 seconds). Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am fairly new to Portal & UWL I would also be grateful if someone could tell where I can find the relevant log files referenced in the original error.
Regards
SimonHey Simon,
Welcome to UWL :). Portal Runtime Errors in UWL don't always signify that there is a UWL issue. This could be a permissions problem, etc. I'm not sure what version of the portal that you are using. But here is a little trick for you when checking logs...you can enter in the following: irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.runtime.admin.logviewer.default
and check the log file with the id that was given in the error.
Exception ID: 05:33_30/09/10_0010_24209150 is your exception id. Search for the log files in the default trace and see what the exact error message is. If you can post this here it would be great.
The log files can be found in the following location:
/usr/sap/<SID>/JC<InstanceNumber>/j2ee/cluster/
server<number>/log
or by entering the URL that I mentioned above.
Please let me know in the next reply what the portal version is:
You can get this information by doing the following:
a. log on to the portal
b. backspace out the irj/portal section of the URL
c. click enter.
d. You are now at the J2EE administration page.
e. Next, click on the system information link
f. Please click on the all components link
g. Please attach this information to the message.
I am interested mostly in the UWLJWF component but if you can attach the full software component info to this post that would be great...
Please note, that note number 1133821 is an important note that is needed in the UWL. Did you maintain your RFC destination accordingly?
Here is some additional information to help you too since you are new to UWL:

Portal Runtime Error - MSS Implementation
Hi,
I am getting the following error in an iView for a MSS implementation (Workset: Employee Review/ Employee Document). The iView does not display correctly and I am showed the following error inside the iView:
<i><b>Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : pcd:portal_content/com.singaporeair.test/com.singaporeair.MSS/com.singaporeair.MSS_Roles/com.singaporeair.MSS_CRP/com.sap.pct.hcm.mystaff/nf_2/com.sap.pct.hcm.eereview/com.singaporeair.MSS_Employee_Document/com.sap.pct.hcm.employeedocuments
Component Name : null
Page could not create the iView.
See the details for the exception ID in the log file</b></i>
Any help on the above would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Aniruddh1st question would be.. does that iview in that path actually exist. If it does it may be worth delting it from the page and then adding it again. if it doesn't, well that's your problem.
If it does exit then try previewing it. Looking at the error (Component Name : null) it could be that the par file has not deployed properly, in which case it is basically pointing at java code that doesn't exist. If that is the case look for any .err files at OS level, rename then to .par and restart j2ee.

The requested URL /pls/portal/display.jsp was not found on this server.
Hi,
I managed to get ultrasearch running now. The crawling process seems to run smooth. Executing a search gives me the correct result. However, i can not display the documents that are listed in the resultpage.
The link to the document is like this:
http://myportal/pls/portal/display.jsp?type=file&f_url=C:\ultra_docs\sultan\filetransfer\htc\site.doc
The path in the url seems ok to me.
Cliking on this link gives me the following error:
The requested URL /pls/portal/display.jsp was not found on this server.
Please, help me out here :/
mvg
BramI just tested it by accessing the search page with the following url:
http://myportal/ultrasearch/query/search.jsp
This gives me the same result and the links to the actual documents work fine now too! But it is not working from within portal, the links generated by the ultrasearch portlet give me an error.
The requested URL /pls/portal/display.jsp was not found on this server.
Please Help me Out

Reporting IAC not working in MSS/Time Administrator - Portal Runtime Error
Hi Experts,
I am having some problems viewing the Report Results after executing the Reporting IAC in the MSS and TA roles.
I select a report from the list, click on Define Selection Criteria, select an employee, then the Report Result pops up in a new window. However, this is where the error occurs as the new window displays a portal runtime error.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks,
Oloy. What portal version and business package are you using? What is the backend system release?
What sort of report is it?
Is your WEBGUI service activated and tested in the internal ITS? -
Hi all,
when I import a portal theme in the portal system administrator,a error happened,"An exception occurred while processing the request; see log for details",and where I can find the error log file, thanks!Hi Louis
You had two systems, example DEV and QAS.
Try do that
1- Go to QAS -> System Administration -> Portal Display -> Desktops & Display Rules -> Portal Content -> themes
2- Delete the new theme
3- Go to DEV -> System Administration -> Portal Display -> Theme Transport
4- Export the theme
5- Go to QAS -> System Administration -> Portal Display -> Theme Transport -> import the theme
Good Luck

We are getting the error below on transactions since we applied the SPS 12. It happens when there isnt any activity inside of the portal for about 3-5 mins.
After that time has elapsed, any transaction you click on will display this error.
If anyone can help resolve this issue, we would appreciate it.

ThibautHi Erik,
When we confure system at portal under system admin tab, we wil have a dropdown to display
the system object properties i.e. system alias, test conections ,permissions and delta link tracer.
Here we will find option to add system alias.
And Cache admin will be present at Aministrator level.Ask ur basis to do this.
I m talking in perspective of EP7.0 SP 11.
Hope this helps.
