Portal Drive - Connection Problems (a problem connecting user) 2

Hello Experts,
I installed the latest Portal-Drive from
[SWDC|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap/bc/bsp/spn/download_basket/download.htm?objid=012002523100000835972009D]
and followed step-by-step explanations from
[http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/2541]
So I created a new-service and filled fields as follows:
Service Name: PW1
Server URL: http://r3ebwpdb.ekostahl.agn:50000/irj/go/km/docs/documents/Hilfe
Username: TLI399958 (That is my SAP-User)
Server-Url (...) looks like:
Server: r3ebwpdb.ekostahl.agn
Port: 50000
Server directory: irj\go\km\docs\documents\Hilfe
Unfortunatley the connection does not work --- message:
r3ebwpdb.ekostahl.agn is currently experiencing a problem connecting user. Please try again later.
I read in other threats, that the URL should work in a Browser-window - unfunatley I receive the following message:

  • Portal Drive - Administration

    Hi,
we want to do some mapping of WebDAV Folders with the Portal Drive. In our environment the user should not do that by himself. The drives has to be mapped in the login scripts.
My problem is to hide the PortalDrive in the taskbar. The User can open the application and change settings and so on. Is there a possibility to hide the application or disable the settings in the portal drive application? And if yes, how to?
    Thanks and bye
    Florian

    Hi Tobias,
    thank you for the answer.
I tried that, but the microsoft redirecting service (used by the "net use" command) with windows xp (operation system of our clients) has some restrictions:
For example it can only use port 80 as far as i know, so we have to install a port forwarding tool like stunnel. I think this solution is not really practicable. The autentication mechanism is restricted, too.
    Best regards

  • Firefox has suddenly stopped connecting on one of three user accounts on the same computer. That account still connects with Safari - but not Firefox. A clean-install has not solved the problem. Help?

Three user accounts on the same computer all link to a single copy of Firefox 3.6.8 - but one of them has suddenly lost its ability to use the program. Firefox opens in that account, but it cannot connect to the Internet. 'Done' appears at the lower left of a blank Firefox page [it's set to load a blank page initially], as though a page had finished downloading ... but Firefox does not actually generate any Internet activityx.
Previously, the Firefox connection for this account was smooth and reliable. I haven't added, upgraded or downloaded any new programs, nor made any other computer changes in recent weeks or months.
Puzzlingly - that same account still connects successfully to the Internet via Safari. And the other accounts on the same computer continue to use Firefox with no problem - including a test user-account that I set up today to help troubleshoot the problem. The blockage is restricted solely to Firefox with that one user account.
Following your Support page instructions, I did a clean-install of Firefox 3.6.8, removing both the existing Firefox 3.6.8 and the Library/Application Support/Firefox folder. Going the extra mile, I checked all accounts to be certain that no Firefox folders remained in any of them - then emptied the Trash and restarted before installing a freshly downloaded 3.6.8. But blimey - the blockage still persists for that one user account.
Firefox shows no visible cookies that might influence the connection. [It's set to delete all cookies upon closing anyway.] And I see no obvious instructions in Mac's firewall or any software program to refuse access to Firefox. The computer is stand-alone, not networked. And in any case, Firefox works just fine in the two other user accounts.
Deleting the hobbled user account is not feasible. So what is causing this roadblock? Did I miss a step in the clean-install? How can that account resume using Firefox?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

If files already have been downloaded then remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.
You can also delete active-update.xml and possibly updates.xml (stores the update history).

Is this a logicboard problem, or something that can be fixed with a little work?

    Hi j hallow-
Whose diagnosis declared a bad connection?
Have you opened it up and looked inside? It may need to be cleaned out.

  • Permissions problem with Connect To Server as Registered User

On a Mac running the latest Lion, I'm using Finder's "Connect To Server" feature to connect to another Mac (which is running Snow Leopard) as a Registered User.   When I then try to save documents to a location on that other Mac, (for example, from TextEdit), I get errors like "The document "Untititled" could not be saved as "TestFromOtherComputer.rtf".  You don't have permission.    To view or change permissions, select the item in the Finder and choose File > Get Info."
When I connect as a Registered User, don't I then have all of the permsissions of that user?    In the above case, "that user" absolutely has the permissions to save a file (to the folder I've chosen or elsewhere).    So what gives?
    Thanks in advance.

I actually just tried something different, and may have found a bug.
For clarity, I have an iMac and an Macbook Pro.   The Macbook is visible to the iMac in the "Shared" section of the FInder on the iMac and I connected to it using "Connect As" / "Registered User".
When I try to save a file from TextEdit to the Macbook (with the filename 'SavedFromiMac'), I'm able to navigate through all of the folders as expected, but when I click "Save", the file DOES save in the Macbook's folder, BUT I get an error from TextEdit saying it could not be saved because I don't have permission (worded as I describe in the previous post).
Going to the Macbook, if I double-click on the saved file, I get an error message that says "The document 'SavedFromiMac.rtf' could not be opened."
The Macbook is running 10.6.8, Build 10K549 and the iMac is 10.7.2, build 11C74.
Does anyone have any thoughts what's going on?

  • Portal Drive Connection Issue

    Hello,
    I am using Portal 7.0 SP16.
I setup Portal Drive in my local system. I am able to connect to a folder in km repository for a machine having only one portal instance.
But when I tried to connect to folder for a machine having two or more portal instance, it is not able to connect.
I tried all the machine with only one portal instance and it works fine but it doesn't connect for machine having more than one portal instance.
Any help would be great to resolve this issue. I am getting error like:
" server is currently experiencing a problem connecting users. Please try later."

  • Problem in DBCP Connection Pooling with BLOB in Tomcat

    Hi All,
I am using the DBCP connection pooling in tomcat server version 6.0.18.
I have session table which maintains the session details of the user in BLOB column. Recently I am facing a problem. When a user logs in, I am storing the session details in the DB. It throws an exception like this. When I restart the tomcat, it just works fine. But after some days it is again throwing the same exception.

  • Problem in establishing connection with mysql 5.0

    Hi,
I am using JCAPS 5.1. I tried to insert data to mysql database table.
    But i got following error
java.sql.SQLException: Error in allocating a connection. Cause:
    Physical Connection doesn't exist.
My intention is to read file in which data are comma seperated and to
populate those values to a mysql 5.0 database table.
    Sample DATA in file [test.txt]
    111,gg,23,MFG
    112,hh,24,MFG
    113,ii,25,RETAIL
    114,jj,26,IT
    Database table: employee
    eno,ename,eage,edept
While creating JDBC OTD there is no problem in establishing connection with database. But after deploying i got above error.
I have used Mysql 5.0 Connector/J JDBC driver. Added JDBC driver jar files to following directories as required.
    1) C:\JavaCAPS51\logicalhost\is\lib
    2)C:\JavaCAPS51\logicalhost\is\domains\test\lib
Steps i have followed as per JDBC-ODBC -eway user guide doc.
    1) Created USerDefined OTD and added necessary fields
    2) Created JDBC OTD.
    3) Created JAVA collaboration and do business process for inserting
    4) Mapped all components by creating in Connectivity MAp
    5) created necessary external systems in envrionment explorer.[JDBC External System and File External System]
    6)Created Deployment profile
    5) Deployed it.
After deploying it gives error as

    In the environment definition,
    -> External Application JDBC
    -> Properties
    -> Outbound JDBC Connection
You have the database URL in the "DriverProperties" field
Valid URL would be : jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/caps
!! The doc says that this field is optional !! Seems to be an error in the doc:
    Hope this helps

Ok, I would like you to download Informix's driver from them, and

    have

    Once

  • Portal drive does not connect

    Hello,
I am trying to connect to a KM folder through Portal drive.
I have followed [this procedure|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/42/e915d951f23ee0e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm] for that.
When I try to connect I get: "Problem connecting to server, The system cannot find the path specified."
The path is valid, I got it from the folder's WebDav access link, short URLs have been configured and WebDav service is active.
When I look at the log files of Portal drive I get:
iView is not compatible with your browser, operating system or device. Contact your system administrator.
I am running portal drive on Windows XP which is supported.
com.sap.km.cm.docs iview the authentication Scheme is set to basicauthentication as required by SAP Note 947066
    Any ideas...?

    Rahul,
    I'm already using:
    http://<hostname>:50000/irj/go/km/docs/documents/Public%20Documents
If that's not correct then can you please give me an example for the <KM folder URI> part or for a full path?

  • Problems with SSH: Connection Refused

    Greetings fellow Arch users,
I have hit a bit of a snag that I could really use some extra help getting around. I've tried everything I can think of (and everything that Google thought might work) and I have my back rather against a wall, so I thought I'd come here to see if anyone can offer some advice.
To make a long story short, I am a college student and am attempting to set up an ssh server on a desktop at my house so I can access it remotely from the college. I have the computer set up and the server running, however I am having difficulty making connections to it from my laptop. I know that the server is running, because I can log into it both from the server itself (sshing into local host) and from my laptop when I use the internal IP address.
The server is on a static IP address within the network(192.168.0.75), and my router is configured to forward TCP port 1500 to it (I'm using 1500 as the port for my ssh server). However, when I attempt to log into the ssh server using my network's external IP address, the connection is refused. I used nmap to scan my network and found that, even though the proper ports are forwarded to the proper place as far as my Router's configuration interface is concerned, port 1500 is not listed as one of the open TCP ports. I also, to test it, temporarily disabled the firewalls on both the server and the client. That didn't help. The command that I am running is:
    ssh -p 1500 douglas@[external ip address
As I am really not sure what is causing this problem, I don't know what information to provide. So here is everything that my inexperienced mind sees as likely being important. If you need anything more, let me know and I will do my best to provide it.
Here is the sshd_config file from my server.
    # This is the sshd server system-wide configuration file. See
    # sshd_config(5) for more information.
    # This sshd was compiled with PATH=/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin

Okay, so I finally have the opportunity to try and log in from a remote network. And. . .  it doesn't work. Which is just my luck because I now need to wait an entire week, at least, before I can touch the server again. Anyway, running ssh with the maximum verbosity I get this output:
    douglas ~ $ ssh -vvv -p 2000 address
    OpenSSH_6.3, OpenSSL 1.0.1e 11 Feb 2013
    debug1: Reading configuration data /home/douglas/.ssh/config

debug1: Connecting to address [address] port 2000.
debug1: connect to address address port 2000: Connection timed out
ssh: connect to host address port 2000: Connection timed out
It takes a minute or two for the command to finish with the connection timeout, as one would expect. And yes, I am reasonably sure that the address that I am using is my home network's external IP. It is dynamic, but I checked it before I left which was just over an hour ago. I guess that it may have changed. I'll know that for sure in the morning, when my server sends me an automatic email with the network's current address. In the meantime I am operating under the assumption that the address I am using is correct. What else could be the problem?
