Portal drive does not connect

Hello,
I am trying to connect to a KM folder through Portal drive.
I have followed [this procedure|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/42/e915d951f23ee0e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm] for that.
When I try to connect I get: "Problem connecting to server, The system cannot find the path specified."
The path is valid, I got it from the folder's WebDav access link, short URLs have been configured and WebDav service is active.
When I look at the log files of Portal drive I get:
iView is not compatible with your browser, operating system or device. Contact your system administrator.
I am running portal drive on Windows XP which is supported.
com.sap.km.cm.docs iview the authentication Scheme is set to basicauthentication as required by SAP Note 947066
Any ideas...?

Rahul,
I'm already using:
http://<hostname>:50000/irj/go/km/docs/documents/Public%20Documents
If that's not correct then can you please give me an example for the <KM folder URI> part or for a full path?
Rgds,
Roy

  • VC does not connect to Portal

    Hi,
I'm using VC 6.0 Patch 2 on Windows 2003 Server with IIS 6.0.
    My problem is this:
When I launch VC and Select Data Services it tells me "Not connected to a Portal Server".
I notice a combo box in the top right labelled Portal with a stoplight next to it. I enter in http://<portalservername>:<serverport> and a popup browser with my portal Welcome screen appears. I enter in what I think is a userid that exists in the R/3 backend system and which I believe is mapped in the Portal, however, after I press enter, the browser flickers and shows me the Welcome screen again.
If I close the browser, it pops up the same "Not connected to a Portal Server" message.
Does my user need a certain role or permission to allow for this connectivity? (Currently I have assigned all roles to this user.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
    Regards,
    Sean Machado

    Hello again,
I use the same login that I use when logging into the Portal and with that user I did the following in the Portal:
    1. I created a system and saved it in the Portal Content folder. I successfully created an alias for it.
    2. In User Administration -> User Mapping I search for my user id and select the alias I created in step 1. I map the user to the alias and enter in the proper parameters for my connection to my R/3 server. I save the user id map and close it. I completely log off the portal and then open the VC and Select Data Services. The same thing happens.
On the Welcome screen to the portal, I enter in the user id I just mapped and the screen flickers,  showing me the Welcome screen again; it does not connect to the portal. As a test, I entered in bogus user id information to see what would happen, and an error message displays: "User authentication fails", so at least I know the user id is fine ... it has to be! I used it to configure things inside the portal!
Do you have any other ideas?
    Thank you in advance,
    Sean Machado

  • Ms ODBC driver does not usually connect

Hello all, I am having trouble with Microsoft ODBC driver in the above configuration. SQL Plus connects every time, but the ODBC driver does not usually connect until the second attempt. Occasionally it refuses to connect at all. It never connects from IIS 5.0. The error messages are not very helpful:
SQL Error State: NA000, Native Error Code 0, ODBC Error[Microsoft][ODBC Driver for Oracle][Oracle]
    How can I solve this?
    Thanks in advance,
    null

Note that problems with the Microsoft ODBC driver should be addressed to Microsoft. What happens if you try to connect with the Oracle ODBC driver?

  • Airport Extreme connected drive does not appear in Time Machines drive list

I have two Macbook Pros. Both have 500GB hard drives. I have an airport Extreme with a WD terabyte hard drive and a HP printer attached via USB cable. Both Macbooks can access the WD HD & internet.
One MacbookPro has time machine set up to use the Terabyte HD as backup.
I want the other MacbookPro to also use this terabyte drive for backup.
But when I try to set up Time Machine to use the drive, the drive does not appear in the backup drive list.
What can I do to fix this? I had a HD crash on the non-backed up Macbook recently. I desperately need it to be backed up!
    Any ideas?

Does the drive show in Disk Utility? Try a restart.

    Contact HP for support.
Explain that you are using a Mac, anticipate the inevitable groan, and wait patiently for their resident Mac expert to return from vacation.
Until then download and install its driver here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=5058338&cc=us&dlc=en &lc=en
Otherwise return the printer and purchase one from a company that visibly supports OS X. HP isn't on that list.

To see which ODBC function DG4ODBC is looking for and unixODBC isn't supporting it would be best to get an ODBC trace file. But as your unixODBC driver (unixODBC-2.2.11-10.el5) is outdated and these old drivers had a lot of issues when being used on 64bit operating systems (for example wrong sizeofint etc). So best would be to update the unixODBC Driver manager to release 2.3.x. More details can be found on the web site: www.unicodbc.org

  • External Hard Drive is not connecting or loading to my laptop?

Why is it when i connect my Western Digital External Hard Drive to my laptop it does not connect or is seen on my laptop?

I have crazy solution to format it to FAT 32, it work a couple times on my several MAxtor, and Western Digital HD. But this is the last resort and if you are not handy and familiar, don't do it.
It happen on my external HD, so I crack the enclosure open, pulled the HD out and attached it as internal HD on a PC after adjusting the jumper to master and make sure no other HD attached to the motherboard. Make sure the motherboard detected (you can see it from bios menu).
Insert a bootable installer disk before XP ('98, ME, or 2000), and start from there until a promt comes, and type fdisk and you delete the old partition and create a new partition and restart once using the disk still and format it using FAT 32.
After that you put it back to the enclosure, and mount it to MacBook as a new HD with default factory format.
If you don't have the installer disk, this might help :
    http://www.bootdisk.com/
But if your maxtor still under warranty better talk to them first and they might willing to reformat it for you.
Hope this help your external back and let you use it on your MacBook.

  • My external hard drive does not show up on my desktop

My external hard drive does not show up on my dest top but, does shows in my Windows (vmware fusion) end although I can't see it ob my desktop but, I can eject it properly like any external drive. I have connected it to my windows and ejected properly (per the suggestion of someone on this forum) but, it still doesn't show on my Mac. I see the blue light and hear it running though. I have looked for it in disk utility but, still can find it. I have changed the cable and it still did not show on my Mac. I connected another external drive  and that showed up on my desktop.Any help????

if it is NTFS then you need Paragon Software NTFS for Mac.
NTFS volumes are suppose to be read only but in practice external drives don't always mount or work.
If it is not NTFS then you need more details. Need more anyway.
PS: this is not a MacBook area, it is Mac 65lbs tower related forum.

  • External hard-drive does not reconnect after sleep

    Hi everyone
I am trying to use my Energy Saver to SLEEP my iMac after 1 hour. It goes to sleep no problem, but on wake-up, my external USB hard drive does not reconnect. There is also an error message that I didn't disconnect the drive properly. I fear this may be one of Mac OS X's "features". Has anyone encountered the same thing?
On a side note, I also find that my USB keyboard does not always reconnect as well. I use a windows USB mouse that I have connected to wake it from sleep, however my USB keyboard (the small one for Macs), sometimes does not allow me to type unless I unplug it and back in.
Another point of note is that both the HD and the keyboard are connected to the iMac through a 7 port USB hub.

I think this might be the issue. If the iMac is waking back up, it will likely be waking up this HUB, but the HUB might not be re-initialising the connection between OS X and the external drive or the keyboard.
After waking the iMac, if you unplug the external drive from the HUB, then plug it back in again, does OS X pick it up again? Have you tried plugging the external drive directly into the iMac and then testing what the result is?
If you read back on what you've said, you pointed out that you have a USB mouse that you use to wake the iMac from sleep. Is this mouse directly connected to the iMac? If so, it surely can't be a coincidence that a directly connected USB device can wake the iMac from sleep, but any USB devices connected to the iMac via a USB HUB cannot.
I would suggest you test the drive as it is directly connected to the iMac. I would complete the same test with the keyboard too. I think you'll find it's the USB HUB.
    I hope this helps.

  • Package oracle.jdbc.driver does not exist!!

    hi there..
am writing a JBDC application and i got the following error:
    "package oracle.jdbc.driver does not exist"
what am i supposed to do??
well, am not sure, but i guess the above means that i dont have a JDBC driver for oracle; f i am right, where to get that from and how to install it (in terms of code and maybe enviroment variable)???
one more question: if i want connect to another DB engine than oracle, for example sql server or DB2, do i have to get a different driver??
    Appreaciating ur cooperation
    MOurad

Actually, if you're using JDK 1.4 or higher you should be using ojdbc14.jar from Oracle. classes12.zip is JDK 1.2 technology.
If you connect to another relational database you should always get the JDBC driver JAR from that vendor. They don't work across different databases. - MOD

  • [ODBC Driver Manager] Driver does not support this function

    HI every body
In Win Server 2008 R2 , I tried to retrieve data from my ODBC Driver
by Report Builder , my connection test is successful , but after any retrieve data by SQL Statement I encounter with this Error :
IM0001: [Microsoft] [ODBC Driver Manager] Driver does not support this function
I use Win Server 2008 R2 , and my ODBC Driver installed on :
    %SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
Can anyone help me to solve this problem, its realy urgent for me ,
    PLEASE HELP ………………..

ODBC Driver name is PMSDK (32 bit) and installed by Primavera software
I use SQL Report Builder to connect the driver and try SQL Statement in it
Report Builder may be executing an ODBC function to retrieve meta data, and that function is not supported by the PMSDK driver.  Are you using the latest version of the PMSDK driver?  You might try turning on ODBC tracing to find out the problem
    function.

  • JDBC driver does not support XA - Exception

JDBC driver does not support XA
cannot participate in a two-phase commit
To Force participation set EnableTwoPhaseCommit property on the corresponding JDBCTxDataSource property to true
    1) What is a JDBCTxDataSource - what does the TX mean?
    2) I have two data sources and according to BEA Weblogic docs, setting the property on both won't solve the problem. I tried.
    3) When I try to change the data pools to use XA drivers, I get the following error on server startup:

Which version of WebLogic? I've made XA work for both 8.1 and 9.1.
