PORTAL FORMS - CHANGING COMPANY NAME

Hi another problem
When running a form in portal I would like to have the company name detailed on the bottom of the form. How do I change the details?

Each and every component is using a UI template which defines the look & feel, you can change it to be whatever you want it to be. Just go to "Shared Components"/"UI templates" and copy/modify the template you are using.

Go to GRR2
Click on Extras >> Report Texts >> Headers
Here you will find the Company Name typed
Go ahead and change it or if you use a selection criteria, click on charecteristics and choose Company Code & Description.

Hello SAP gurus,
our company changes its name. Please, can you advice me, how to change company name in purchase order?
But in <SPRO- Materials management - Purchasing - Purchase order - Define screen layout> it is not possible, the form here is empty. Probably we use some other way for specifying purchase order layout.

How to get HTML form name for use in Portal Form's custom layout?

I want to add a date selector to a Portal Form but the NAME attribute of the FORM HTML tag is dynamic.
To add a calendar icon that opens a date selector, I add the following tags to the custom layout after the date form field:
<img src="/images/calendar.gif" height="16" width="16" border="0">
The <form field name> is static, but the <form name> appears to be dynamic (e.g. WWVM3115, WWVM3116, WWVM3117, ...).
The custom layout uses substitution variables for the form fields and labels. Is there a substitution variable for the form name?

Here's the javascript function someone recommended several years ago (on an oracle portal forum) that I've used successfully to reference fields in non-portlet portal forms:

You can then reference the portal form field name using the column/field name only:

Change the name of company in SAP

my requirement is to change company name in sap 4.7
till cutoff date all data/reports must exist with previous company code/name and after that cutoff date all data/reports will be assigned to new company code/name. both companies will be separate entities and work will done only in single company. is it required of fresh customizing with new company code and also customizing of all other modules or we can do this task without a fresh customizing wih small changes. modules using are FI/MM/SD/QM/PM/PP . Z-working also involved with a number of tables.
ie. existing company code/name - 1000 ABC LTD. (till 31.5.2010)
new company code/name - 2000 xyz Ltd. (from 01.06.2010)
need expert guidance at war level . Thanks in advance

Since one legal entity will cease to exist and a new legal entity will come into being, you will have to follow all the period end closure procedures.
Also you will need the BS,P&L,Cash flow statements then the year end process also will have to be completed,
A new company code will have to be created and the balances of the old company code will be transferred to the new company code.
If it suffices that only the B&S items and the retained earnings need to be transferred then after the year end process the balances can be shifted to the new company code.

Rename the Company Name in test company

I did the backup then restore database from SQL Server. I noticed the test company has same Company Name only the Database Name is different from Original Database Name.
Can I rename the Company Name to distinguish with the Original Database now? I get confused when I did some testing not even to users.

To change the title of the browser go to:
System Administration > System Configuration > Service Configuration > Portal Runtime > Central Configuration.
Scroll down to: portal.html.head.title
and change to required name.
Do restart ur portal for the changes to take effect.
Revert back if changes have taken place or not?
In addition,
U need to restart portal server ( logoff will not help)

Company Name Change

Dear Friends,
We are informed about the change of name by the company, which is legal and we will update BUKRS accordingly.
But, how can i find the dependent legal documents to change the company name in them ? At least for Forms i can check from SE71 and locate the forms for that country and search if anything is hard coded.
Could you pl. throw me some more light, in which other places shouid i check for the update of the company name ?

To take care of these kind of scenario's only, Standard Text are only used/referred for all the SAP Documents Print Out(PO/SO/Invoice etc) which ensures Central Text Management in SAP.
Now if the same standard is not followed in your SAP System then you need to look into the individual Forms(Script/Smartform).
Check Standard Texts also in SO10.
To figure out that which are the various forms you need to take care, Take help of the NACE Txn.

Hi,
I checked the program, in which Include - PCPTXIN6_PDF line no 57 is used for checking the address & displaying in the output.
In that CONCATENATE sadr-name1 sadr-name2 is used for the Empr address part. Check in ur case Name2 is having any entry or not.
The name1 & name2 is 35 character length and it can be maintained in V_T001. Select the Company code & SHIFT+F5, both the fields are on top of the Name header. You can mention the details there & do a test run to check by using both the Function modules.

Not possible to select layout (run time). You have assign default layout for each vendor to get correct logo and company name.
Why you want different logo and company names? Is it same DB or different DB?
