Portal Freezes when interactive form drop down is selected..

Hi Experts,
We are facing a strange problem with the drop downs in interactive form. We developed an interactive form with dynamic internal tables and Automatic dictionary search helps attached.
Before upgrading SAP SP 27 we were able to use it without any problem. Now whenever we select a drop down in the adobe form complete portal is freezing.
More suprising is this is working fine in Mozilla firefox and not in internet explorer 8.0.
Kindly let us know how to fix this.

Hi Raghavendra,
I tried with compatibility view. Still the portal is getting freezed.
Now adding to the surprise when we rebooted the portals adobe form is not getting freezed but the portal is getting freezed. i.e. I can enter data on adobe but can not navigate to any other links in portal. All of them are freezed.
Kindly let me know the solution.

i m not able to populate value in dropDown list in interactive form.
i m using SimpleType for this,at first time its working fine,
but when we add another record in this simple type, its working for webdynpro view but its not reflecting in interactive form.
means first i have two records in simple type('a' and 'b') but when i m insrting 'c' there its shown in view but not coming in interactive form which is also binded with the same node.

Had to do a hard reboot on the iPad and we were able to get the questions to pop up. Now it's just slow downloading the apps.

Items number to display when combobox is dropped down

Is it possible to set the items number to show when combobox is dropped down. I mean that the default number of items a combobox shows is 8, and i have 9 items at all. I do not want to scroll only for 1 item. Is it possible?

Try using JComboBox.setMaximumRowCount - this should do what you want it to.

What I am trying to accomplish is this. I have a page with various drop down menu selections that I want to transfer the selection to a secured web page. What happens now is once the selection is made it goes to the secure page but then the user has to again select the choice again. Is there way to keep the selection chosen in the linked page?

You can set the "selected" value in the second page based on the input from the first page.
Ignor the language referance used below for the example and simple use the concept with your desired language.

Hi. I am able to build a drop down in select options via the method add_parameter_field, and setting option I_AS_DROPDOWN as true.
Now I want to trigger a user command when any value in the drop down is selected. Is it possible? I cannot find any method / means to do it.

How is the best way to add a Drop Down City Selection Menu to my site next to MyCITY logo? This page should be selection on Los Angeles (w arrow icon next to it), but I need 4 other city choices. It needs to drop down like RESTAURANTS with an arrow. Not sure the best way to approach this.

Drop Down Menu selection query for recordset.

I am looking to utilize a dynamic drop down menu to query a recordset...I am using Colfusion to import an MS Access database that contains the following fields: "Model Date", "Name", "Points" and "Target". Each time the database updates, the "Model Date" field contains the date and time the model was run. I have figured out how to create a dynamic drop down using SELECT DISTINCT "model date" and have also figured out how to create the dynamic recordset to be displayed showing the "Name", "Points" and "Target" data.
I want the user to select the "Model Date" from the drop down, hit a submit button and then have the appropriate "Name", "Points" and "Target" data queried and shown below.
The query should take the selection from the "model date" dropdown and then query the "name", "points" and "target" fields for that particular "model date"
I admit my knowledge of SQL and Coldfusion is not the best, but it seems like this is a somewhat simple task and I am just missing one or two pieces of the cog to put it all together.
The database basically looks like this:

8/1/2010 08:00......John Doe.....1,250.........5.55%
8/1/2010 08:00......Jane Doe.....850............2.35%

My second paragraph talks about just displaying the filtered data, so I'm assuming that's what you're looking for, but still not quite sure based on what the other responses are.
But I head on anyway -
On your first page, make note of the instance name of your drop down menu, such as "ModelDate". Make sure it's in a Form and set the form action to the page where you want to display your data, set the form action to POST.
On the results page, create a table with cells for each of the data elements you want to display. Create a recordset which you can do in Simple mode. Leave it at select all, and set the filter drop down to the database field which contains your Model Date. In the box to the right, select "=". the next dropdown selct "Form Variable" and the variable name type in the instance name of the drop down on the first page.
I may not have the terminology right, doing it from memory.
From the data bindings tab, expand your recordset and locate each of the database fields you want to display. Drag each one to the table cell on the page where you want it displayed. The table cells have to be in a linear row.
Now, select the table row buy selecting the TR tag in the tags just above the properties panel. In the server behaviors tab, select repeat region and "All Records"
Publish your pages and test!

I have a street address and a billing address. A question is posed with a checkbox — "Is the billing address the same as the street address?" If Yes is checked, the street address automatically fills the billing fields. If No is checked, the user must fill in new information. In both the street address and billing addres, the State field is a drop-down list. How can I get the drop-down list selection in the street address State also be selected in drop-down list for the billing address State?

Webdynpro for ABAP - interactive Adobe form - drop down lists not working

Hi all,
I'm trying to create an interactive form for a client using webdynpro for ABAP and I've viewed the demo "Create SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe with Web Dynpro for ABAP" by Thomas Jung, but when I implement it the form following similar steps the form is not interactive.
In the properties of the "InterativeForm", I've tried clicking the "enabled" flag both on and off. I've also tried setting the "displayType" property to both "ActiveX" and "Native". But none of this worked.
I though my problem might be with Adobe reader so I switched from 8.0 back to 7.0 but this didn't make any difference either.
The system we are using is NW04s WAS 700. Any hints would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the suggestion Dezso. I've downloaded a newer version of ACF as indicated by the OSS note and installed it. I'm still having the same issue.
My basic question is what options should I be using in the form and on the InteractiveForm component? It looks like because of the evolution of the product there are multiple options available. I recall reading somewhere that as of a certain SP level we should have ZCI (zero client install) available. The would be our preference. It will be a support nightmare if each user needed a manual download of ACF.exe installed.
Should I click the "enabled" flag on the InteractiveForm object? When I create the form should I use the "Native" drop down list or the one from the "Active X" tab? I would like to use the "List Box" control on the form as well but it is only available in the "Standard" tab. So does that mean I can't get the selections from a "List Box"?

When sending a PDF form by email, is there a way to make a button into a drop-down to select multiple email addresses?

Basically, I'm wanting to have multiple recipients set up within a button, so I can pick and choose who and when I send the form to. I can only seem to get it to either send to only one email address, or to send to multiple email addresses all at one time, without the option to select a recipient upon pressing the button.
If anyone could help, I'd be really grateful.

First of all, a drop-down menu doesn't allow for multiple item selection. You'll need a list-box field for that.
Once you have that set up you can use the value(s) selected in this field as the recipients of the email.

IE crashes when a Drop Down is selected in a Adobe PDF form

Hi,
We are using Adobe forms in a Web Dyn pro application, we are facing a strange problem:
when we open a PDF and try to select a Drop Down [say DD1], IE is CRASHNG DOWN [Browser gets closed].
This happens only when we try to select a value from a particular Drop Down [say DD1].
This happens only in QUALITY Environment and working fine in DEV and PROD Environments.
If we do not touch the Drop Down DD1 and select the values from other Drop Downs [DD2.etc] we are able to get the values and its working fine. Please help me.

We are not assigning any default value to the Dorp Down, so values are not visible.
I tried chaging the Drop Down to Input filed and tab sequence is fine now. I am planning to create a Drop Down again and assign the same attributes and try.

Interactive ALV Drop Down Input

I have a requirement where I am working on an interactive ALV. I have screen 1 where i have a field "Reason" which has drop down values. The values are in the form " Code: Desc" eg " 20 : Wrong Input". Now my requirement is to add one reason code "25: Add your own text". When user selects this option, then the user must be able to type any thing in the column as the reason. Is this functionality achievable with abap and if yes, please suggest how. I am using OOPS ALV class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID.
