Portal Install using Migration - Boot Strap Extract step fails

Question

While Doing a Homogeniuos Copy of a Enterprise Portal Instance EP 6.0
patch 17 to a Target Server on SQL Server 2005 Database,
In the Bootstrap Extract Phase of the Installation
the sapinst.exe aborts with message "Error while connecting to DB"
Below is the last part of system.log from install folder:

Batchconfig.xml was created and has the correct Values for DB Host
sapinst.log has the following part at the end of the log while it abortsinstallation
ERROR 2006-12-01 17:23:10
CJS-20066 Error extracting bootstrap for the J2EE Engine. See output
of logfile C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\NW04SR1
\WEBAS_COPY\ONE_HOST/extractBootstrap.log: 'Error while connecting to
DB.
Database involved for both Source Server and target Server is SQL 2005
Any inputs on where this phase of the installation is looking for the
DB Host would be greatly appreciated

Yes .. the "or" I think.
I now have a sort of 'ghost' account that comes up on the account preferences as 'other' but does not appear under 'Users' in the file directory.
Oh well.
I have to say, though, that Migration Assistant did a good job of copying everything I needed without falling back any of the new features of the newer operating system/iLife applications.
