Portal page goes to top on every click

Hi everyone.
I'm a newbie in Portal.
The issue on subject was claimed from final users.
Explanation of the issue:
Navigating on any page at the Portal, on any command (click on a radio button, choosing values from a combo box, content menu...), the page goes to top.
How the page have many queries the user need to roll down the page to execute it.
Every time the page goes up after any navigational step of the query.
It causes an annoying impression of the tool.
The user wants the page doesn't move on every command.
Doubts:
1) It's fixed with configuration?
2) It's normal?

Hi Andre Doria,
When this happens, did you notice a small yellow triangle indicating Javascript error? If it does, please click on it and have a look what JS error is coming. I know this issue happens mostly because of improper JS execution and error in rendering DOM objects. Sometime you get error saying "No object found" etc. But yes, do check if something of ths sort is happening? Is this page a std. one or custom dev? from what I undersatand it is happening on every page. Right? did you try re-starting your portal cluster?

Set the "Isolation Method" property of the iView to "URL".

My page goes from top to bottom quickly and unevenly after I removed cookies.

This has happened more than once,using different versions of firefox.I am fairly new at this,and this led me back to another
browser twice.
But I like firefox.
Am using the newest version,the beta.
But my browser window moves unevenly,up and down the page,not letting me read.

How to change one iView to another in portal page by clicking the third one

Hi all!
I have created four iViews: two speedometers with web application designer and two iViews with visual composer. I added the speedometers and a visual composer iView #1 to a portal page (default view). The requirement is that by clicking the speedometer #2, the visual composer iView #2 would replace visual composer iView #1 on the portal page. If the user then would select the speedometer #1 again by clicking it, visual composer iView #2 would replace #1 again and so on.

I don't need to filter anything, just to change one iView to another in a portal view by clicking a third one.
I have thought of placing two VC iView to a same portal page area and defining one of the to be visible and another hidden (by clicking speedometers these properties would change), but I haven't found the way how that could be done in portal. Is there a way to define some OnClick-method to change visibility parameters or url-address of another iView?
One solution might be¨on the other hand to transfer any value to VC by clicking a speedometer and to change the visibility of the VC iViews according to that value (the speedometer #1 should in that case transfer other value to VC than speedometer #2). I don't know if that is possible with speedometers - you can't reference any characteristics or variables with it.
If you have an idea, what would be the best way to accomplish this requirement, I would be very glad to hear about it! We are in VC 7.0.

Hi,
In the portal, create a page and place the iView having the three input fields on top. Place the second iView below. Keep differing the second iView for every page. In this way you can make the iView with 3 input fields only in the desired pages. You can use EPCF to invoke / navigate to another iView.

Opening a Portal page from UWL item's click

Hi,
I have written a custom UWL connector that connects to 3rd party system to fetch tasks.
This custom connector has been registered with UWL and tasks from this 3rd party system are now appearing in my UWL.
The requirement is to open a Portal page on click of these UWL items.
That is, when user clicks on this custom UWL item, a Portal page should be opened in new window.
I tried setting item's executionURL to following (inside getItems() method of connector) : -

Issue was with iView that I was trying to open in DEV portal.
It worked fine in TEST & PROD portals.
Hence, NavigationTarget=<> approach works fine.

With brand new iphone 4s when plugging into computer itunes shows a blank page with an apple logo in top left and a small lock in the top right. right clicking iphone under devices shows only eject.

Thanks for the tip. I took the following steps:
1) Backed up the existing profile (presumably corrupted somewhere);
2) Deleted the existing profile;
3) Moved the existing Firefox to the Trash and downloaded a fresh copy;
4) Started Firefox (thus allowing it to create its default profile)
5) Copied the following files from the backup copy of the previous profile: places.sqlite, key3.db, signons.sqlite, permissions.sqlite, persdict.dat, cert8.db ---

My screen opened, and with every click the page (letters/images) got bigger. I can not get it to return to normal image size. I have to use the slide bar to read across the page. What do i do to correct it back to normal size???

Hi jholzworth,
It sounds like you might have accidentally hit the zoom button. Try hitting ''CTRL + 0'' to return it to normal size. Just so you are aware, ''CTRL'' and ''+'' will zoom in and ''CTRL'' and ''-'' will zoom out.

Safari 8 Cuts off the top of every web page

Ok, so I'm looking for a solution or I want to know if other people are having the same problem so hopefully apple will fix it.
As my title says, Safari 8 in Mac OS X Yosemite is cutting off the top of every web page while in full screen. Not just a few, every single one, and it only does it in full screen. It only started after I updated to Mac OS X 10.10.1, it was fine with the original release of 10.10. Any takers?

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

Today, two other users reported issues with the back-forward history list dropping down if they hovered the mouse pointer over the back or forward button -- without clicking -- and then moved the pointer downwards. One user was on a touchpad, I don't know about the other user. Are you experiencing anything like that?

TS3899 I am unable to access my mail account. I press the mail icon, the page refreshes to the mail format page - blue bar top and bottom, white text space in the middle.... and that is as far as it goes. It does not list my email accounts or offer any.

Close the mail app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
then do a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

Doctype added to top of portal page

Does anyone know how to get a doctype to output at the top of a portal page (we are on the 7.3 portal)? I have an external facing site that absolutely needs a doctype specified.
You used to be able to use the deprecated
PortalHtmlResponse.getHtmlDocument()
method to get a reference to the document, and you could add a doctype from that. However, the PortalHtmlResponse object no longer exists, it seems.

We were able to add a doctype. I don't recall all of the details because we moved away from SAP portal. However, you can get a good start from this document.
Essentially, you create a Java portal component that can inject a doctype into any page the component is on.
com.sapconsulting.portal.utils.html_api.jar is what provides the base functionality to do this.

If I remember correctly, we packaged this code up with an Xml config file to make the portal component, installed it in the portal, and included it in any page that needed the document type set.
I believe the jar file was just open source community code.

Every time I try to print a document, Pages goes unresponsive.

I'm using the latest version of Pages (5.1) on a white MacBook, (unsure of it's official name) with a wireless printer. Every time I try to print a document, (I've tried with multiple) Pages goes unresponsive and refuses to print. I've been able to print my documents from other computers and phone, so it's nothing on the printer's end.

- is iCloud file sync On for Pages
- a copy of a document that makes Pages unresponsive when printed
suggest logging in as guest or a new account and printing the document."
Logging in as a different user didn't work. I'm using OSX Mavericks 10.9.2, with Pages 5.1. The printer isn't actually mine, so I'm unsure of what model it is. Sorry! As for a copy of a document, it's any document I try to print, not just specific ones.
