Portal page missing forms in browser on first load.

I have a number of portlets containing forms. Upon loading the page for the first time using IE5.5 only some of the forms will appear. If I hit the refresh button then they all show up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • ESS Portal Trip/Expense form only prints the first page

    Good morning;
        Our users reported that when they display a trip/expense via Portal and then right mouse click in order to print the trip, only the first page prints out.  If they go to the SAP Gui and run the TRIP transaction and display the trip in Print Preview form and print it, they get all the pages of the trip/expense printed.
    Has anyone ever run into this strange issue before?
    Thanks.
    Scott.

    Thanks for the quick response.
    I'm assuming that you are refering to the IMG Path:
    Cross-Application Components->Homepage Framework->Resources
    ->Define Resources
    Select activity Define Resources (Change Entries)
    When I check this in the IMG, we do not have a resource called  EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_TRIPFORM_SRV05.
    Currently we are on ECC 5.0 and note 525862 references Rel 4.6c so I know that those corrections are part of our system.  The 812903 note refers to ECC 6.0 only so this note I believe would not help us.
    Should I add the resource EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_TRIPFORM_SRV05 to the Configuration?
    I see that note 1140369 references something about the EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_TRIPFORM_SRV05 resource and has something to do with hight of the Trip form.

  • Link in xml form article text to open another portal page?

    Like in all websites our intranet have pages with articles (xml forms) where it's logical for the text to include links to other articles in other areas of the portal.
    Since all iviews (km navigation in this case) are displayed as iframes, links within the text only lead to the target page being displayed within the iview/iframe. I need the complete portal page to change to also show where in the page hierachy/navigation structure the user has landed.
    I am aware of the related links iview, but this doesn't do the trick. I want the article text itself to include the links.
    A logical solution would be to find the page's navigation URL and use this as a text link, but then I would need to add a target=_top to change the whole page around. This is not possible within a xml form. (<a href="/irj/portal?NavigationTarget= navurl://cf1c773631c70d216fe3434ca4dc3a0e" target="_top")
    Ideas?
    Henning

    Thanks for answer. Points awarded.
    BUT: Still, a link to http://server/irj/portal/link added in the html editor window of an xml form only give the options of opening the link in new browser, or in the active window. The first option results in a massive amount of opened browsers, the second results in the target page being opened in the iframe (not nice!)
    Of course I could edit the xml directly adding a target=_top, but every new editing of this file would overwrite these changes.
    The best way would be to add a new option in the html editor allowing an option of "fill entire window" when adding a text link that adds target=_top in the xml.

  • Error when trying to run UCM from browser -The portal page for your Content

    Hi
    When I try and run the UCM in a browser using "http://localhost/idc", it showing
    "The portal page for your Content Server needs to be rebuilt. Start the WebLayout Editor as a standalone application and select Update Portal... from the Options menu."
    I did see a previous message that says to go to Weblayout Editor Applet - Options - Build Home Page - Update -Ok, but I was not able to see the Build Home Page option in the drop down.
    Any ideas what may be causing this issue?
    Thanks in advance for your help
    Cheers
    Sylvia

    Hi Srinath
    Thanks for your reply.
    Commenting out the following lines still does not fix my problem.
    <div align=center><b>Welcome to UCM10g for SIF DEV</b></div><br>
         <$if IsLoggedIn$>UserName = <i><$UserName$></i><br><$endif$>
         <$if IsDynamic$>Current Time = <i><$dateCurrent()$></i>
         <$else$>This is a static page.
         <$endif$>
    I have installed this product on two environments following the same kind format.
    In our dev environment I am able to type in the following to get to the Welcome to Content Server Page
    http://devenv/idc/
    In the other environment I use the following and I get that the error "The portal page for your Content Server needs to be rebuilt. Start the WebLayout Editor as a standalone application and select Update Portal... from the Options menu."
    http://testenv/idc
    So the only way to get to the Content Server Page is to type the full path as below which I don't want to do, because I want the welcome screen to appear first.
    https://testenv/idc/idcplg?IdcService=GET_DOC_PAGE&Action=GetTemplatePage&Page=HOME_PAGE&Auth=Internet
    Is there a way I can configure the application to get to my welcome screen instead of getting the error message detailed above?
    Thanks

  • How to remove 'Back to form' from portal page.

    How can I remove the 'Back to form' and tick from a portal page?

    I'm assuming you are creating a form from a procedure. Edit the form. The first page you see, scroll to the bottom. You'll see a text area where you can use the go('') statement. You'll redirect the submitted portlet to the page that displays your portlet. This skips the link.

    If you mean the drop marker then you can still get the History of the Back and Forward buttons if any by either Left-Click and hold for a second or by Right-Clicking them.
    If you still want the drop mark there also then there is this Extension at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker/

  • Creation of a portal page using XML web form

    Hi Experts,

    To compose it chect this pdf

  • How to make Portal Form Submit go back to portal page?

    I'm using a form inside a Dynamic Page portlet so that I can have portal page parameters feed into the form. This works just fine.
    However, when I submit a new record in my form, the page navigates to a page with just my Portal Form and not the Portal Page with the dynamic page that referenced the form. I need to make sure that when users click the insert/submit on my form that it goes back to the Portal Page that houses the Dynamic Page portlet.
    I have logged a TAR but Oracle was unable to resolve it since they can't write code for a customer. Their suggestion was to put this in the pl/sql "Custom" event for the insert button:
    DECLARE
    l_url VARCHAR2(200);
    begin
    l_url:=
    'TARGET=_blank>http://dallas.lacare.org:7777/portal/page?_pageid=154,107011&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL';
    PORTAL.wwa_app_module.set_target(l_url,'CALL');
    exception
    WHEN OTHERS then
    htp.p(SQLERRM);
    end;
    But that gives me an internal server error when I submit my form.
    Any other ideas?
    Thanks,
    David

    Looks like my problem was just the TARGET=_blank> stuff. I change the code to the following:
    DECLARE
    l_url VARCHAR2(200);
    begin
    l_url:=
    '/portal/page?_pageid=154,107011&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL';
    PORTAL.wwa_app_module.set_target(l_url,'CALL');
    exception
    WHEN OTHERS then
    htp.p(SQLERRM);
    end;
    That works fine and instead of putting it in place of the INSERT button code I left that alone and put it in the "After form processing" pl/sql code. Now it works pretty well. The only thing left to fix is that it loses all my current Page Parameter values when forwarding the url like that.

  • Email address on Portal page incorrectly copied into email form

    I have a 'staff directory' on a Portal page that contains email addresses. Upon clicking on an email address an email form pops up. However, the email address in the TO: line sometimes reflects the email address correctly, and sometimes it repeats characters from the email address - that is, my email address might be correctly copied in as Caryn@mail or incorrectly copied in as Caryncaryn@mail.
    Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

    So called e-mail obfuscation scripts may work up to a point, but client side scripts are easily defeated by turning off JavaScript.   Also, e-mail links don't work for everyone. With so many people using web mail (yahoo, hotmail, g-mail, etc...) instead of e-mail software, they may not have an e-mail client on their device.
    For many reasons, a contact form with a form to email processing script that has built-in spam protection is the way to go.
    If your server supports PHP, this script from DBMasters is good.

  • How to display custom forms or reports on portal pages?

    Hi friends
    I am new to Portal. I knew that we can create forms and reports in portal.
    But how can i display a custom form ( ex: employee.fmb) on a portal page?
    Thanks
    Ravi

    Are you meaning Oracle Forms Module and Oracle Reports?
    If so
    please check the following
    Reports
    http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_15/bi.1012/b14048/pbr_conf.htm#sthref494
    Forms (you can only invoke forms using the SSO)
    http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25016_02/doc/dl/web/B14032_02/security.htm#sthref42
    Otherwise you can create your custom HTML form and report using the following technologies:
    http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_15/portal.1014/b14135/pdg_matrix.htm#CHDJIEIH
    Please refer also to:

  • How do I make forms and reports to stay in the Portal Page?

    Hi,
    I have a report with a Link to a form on my Portal Page. When I
    click one of those Links, the form is opened on a separate Page,
    with just the basic template and no possibility to add extra
    portlets. Is there any way of controlling on which Page the
    target of a Link should be displayed?

    Harald, if I understand you right, this is your scenario:
    You have a page with a form and a report in it. When you click
    on a row in the report, you want to be able to edit that row in
    the form, but still within the page (not the form all by itself).
    This is not supported in 3.0.9, but it is possible with some
    extra coding. Ken Atkins gave a presentation on exactly this at
    the last ODTUG convention, and again at the recent VOUG
    convention. Its a bit too complicated to explain here, but if
    you want, email me or look for his presentation on odtug.org or
    voug.org websites (not sure if the voug ones are up yet, it was
    last week).
    Also, be wary, since its not supported, things like that tend to
    break when new versions come out.

  • Form updates not showing on portal page

    I have a "Report from Query Wizard" report that shows a list of training
    classes staff are requesting. This has a link to an update form so that
    our boss can check Yes or No.
    When I click Run or Run as Portlet from the Providers tab everything
    works fine. But when I show the portlets in a region on a portal page
    the update results don't show up. In other words, you can see the list,
    click on the update link in any row of the list to get the form of
    interest, make changes and Submit. The data actually gets updated in the
    database table but the data changes will not appear in the portlet
    report unless I re-add the portlet to the page region.
    Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

    Webcache is probably running. Try setting the report refresh interval to .01.

  • Form does not show up after been put in portal page

    I have created form application and tested it in 9iAS but when I put it in Portal page, It does not show up in the Portal page. The report that I created under the same Application does show up. However, it does not show the form. I have check the Access and everything looks right. (I even grant it to the public and still does not work).
    Any help would be appreciated.

    This looks strange. We haven't encountered such problem. Could you pls give us more details. Like:
    Are you using "Inherit Privilege from Application" ?
    Are you using Tab page/ Normal Page.
    If tab pages, have you set tab level security?
    Are you able to run that particular form from application? (Pls check it has a Valid production version).
    Are both forms & reports in the same application?
    Is this problem occuring for only a particular form or for all the forms?
    If you could provide the STEPS that you did..
    Thanx,

    Chetan and Johnny,
    I have the same problem as Johnny. Chetan, in answer to your questions:
    1. Yes, I am using "Inherit Privilege from Application"
    2. I tried it both on a page and on a tab and checked security, following the directions in "Building Portals, Release 3.0.8" Using "Portal30" login, access "Manage" etc.
    3. Yes, the form runs in Application, but not as a portlet on a portal page. We are using the standard demo configuration, Oracle 8i (enterprise ed.) and Oracle9i Application Server (minimal ed.).
    4. Yes, valid production version.
    5. I tried running reports and forms from same application and from different applications. Still does not show up on portal page.
    6. It occurs for all forms.
    7. Steps: As I indicated, I followed the directions closely in "Building Portals" which builds "Form based on table or view", "Publish to Portal" I even tried the database sequence (see page 4-27) and added that to the form configuration. I'm running it on NT 4.0 (service pack 5). The software was downloaded from the Oracle site.

  • Portal form custom button to call new portal page

    Portal 3.0.9
    I can create a portal form componment which sets session variables appropriately based on a custom button. I can get a 2nd component such as a report to read this session variable ok as long as it on the SAME portal page.
    However, how do I get the form (exposed as a portlet on a page) to call A DIFFERENT Portal page which contains a number of application components reading the previously set session variable? I do not want to call the module directly as it will appear in a popup window.
    I've tried using owa_util.redirect_url('page url'); but this gets ignored and the same page is refreshed.
    Any ideas?
    John

    Hi,
    You can call the new page in the success procedure of the form
    example
    declare
    l_url varchar2(2000);
    begin
    l_url := 'cut and paste the page link from the navigator';
    go(l_url);
    end;
    Thanks,
    Sharmila
