Portal Partner Sub-account Switch

I switched my Verizon portal partner from Yahoo to Windows Live w/o any problems.  At the Windows Live sign in page, I can sign in with my @verizon.net email address.  The problem is with a sub-account I manage.  At the Windows Live sign in page my sub-account user with an @verizon.net email address can't sign in to Windows Live.  The error relates to the domain name, so it seems only the primary email account is recognized.  I even created an @live.com email account with the same prefix as the Verizon sub-account and tried linking them but it didn't work.  It also shouldn't be necessary to have 2 separate accounts when an @verizon.net account exists as a portal partner.  How can I migrate my sub-account over to work the same way as the primary email account?

  • Cloud Portal in sub accounts of HCP?

    Hello,
we face an issue with the HANA Cloud Portal. We have a partner account where the portal is available. But due to test and development we also need the portal in several sub-accounts where we deploy our application.
I couldn't find any self-service to enable the Portal service in the sub-accounts. Trying to subscribe the sub-accounts to the same applications (e. g. portal:nwc) that our main account is subscribed to doesn't work.
I opened an incident with support a while ago and support assigned the portal to one of our sub-accounts quickly. But now I haven't heard from them several weeks and I urgently need the portal on three more sub-accounts.
    What are my options now?
    Thanks.
    Christian.

    Hi Christian,
Sub-accounts do not get the self-service provisioning to Cloud Portal by default.
Which accounts are required to be provisioned to Cloud Portal and on which HCP landscape?
    Thanks, Amit

  • I established a sub-account (2nd email address) to my primary account, and can't seem to switch between them in Thunderbird. Help?

Thunderbird will let me rename my primary account with the name of the sub-account (which confused me for quite a while), but I simply want to switch *between* the two accounts. That is, I would like to view the emails received by the primary account, and then, subsequently, change/switch to viewing the emails received by the sub-account. I would like to do these two separate things at will. I am currently unable to do so, and cannot figure out how to. can you help?

  • Switching accounts to sub accounts on Master Account

Not sure if this is the right community but I'll ask any way. I set up a Master Account on the PSN for the PS4. I planned to add my kids accounts as sub accounts when they got the PS4 on Christmas. However due to the PSN being down that day it didn't happen the way I planned and my kids formed accounts of their own which of course are not sub accounts. So I would like to know if I could switch their accounts to sub accounts and how do I do this?
    Thanks for your input!

I am in the same situation.  Is there a way to merge two accounts?  I see that this post had 73 views, but nobody has posted an answer.  Maybe we can get some resolve soon.  Good Luck.

  • Email sub account locked out & won't unlock

My "primary" email account already went through the verizonwireless annoyance now, one of my "sub" email accounts is locked due to excessive failed attempts. Ok, normally I can deal with that. However, when prompted to change password & security question - it is defaulting to my PRIMARY account NOT my SUB account.
After going through the prompts and making the changes - my SUB account issue is still UNRESOLVED. Anyone else having this problem???
Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Make logging in easier for Sub-Accounts on this computer WON'T WORK!

Make logging in easier for Sub-Accounts on this computer - when I click on this tab in the main email account it does nothing. It used to allow me to log into all my accounts easier by listing all email address's at log in, but for months I've had to type in each email address whenever switching emails. Can anyone help with this issue? Its on my verizon yahoo account.
    Thanks.

Hey dpg123, it sounds like someone accidentally click on save password when signing in.  You can try to reverse the issue by clicking onto Internet Option from the Control Panel.  On the General Tab under Browsering History click on the Delete button and you have to delete Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and Passwords on that pc.

  • Sub Account MIA please help

I was having issues accessing my sub Account {edited for privacy}. I called support, after several attempts to reset the password the asked to remote access my laptop, after more failed attempts, I was told the sub-account had been disabled and could no longer be accessed nor restored. My husband has very important work documents stored in that email. Is there really no mode of restoration?! Please help!!

  • Setting up sub accounts

I have a primary email address and have set up a sub account for my partner.  No problems getting this set up to receive emails on my Ipad but just cannot get it to work with Outlook 2007 on my PC.  No issues with the main account - just can't get the sub account added.  can anyone help?  I've tried doing the tolls, option, accounts and adding it in as a new account but my PC just won't accept the password :-(

    Hi LyraSilvertongue,
    Welcome to the forum!
Have you tried going through the Email Set-up page? It'll go through all the steps you need to follow to set the account up, it's worth giving it a go just to make sure you haven't missed any steps along the way.
Let us know how you get on

  • Sub-account user id rules

I'm trying to create a sub-account but I keep getting a message that the names I choose are invalid.  I know that there are rules for passwords and for sub account names, and I am following those rules.  I'm not talking about already used names, like "John" -- that gets me the error message that the name is already being used.
I know that the "-" or the "_" or the "." can be used. There is a minimum (6) and maximum (30) limit on the number of characters in the name.  If I follow all of those rules, why would it be invalid if it is not already in use by another user?

I wanted to share my results with the community here. Verizon is asserting that there is an apperently unwritten rule about special characters requiring a separation of two letters or numbers betwen them.
"One of the parameters of alias/username creation was two special characters, whether they be periods or underscores (._)
cannot be next to each other, or separated by only one character.  The actual glitch occurred which allowed it to be created originally.  That format should not work on our portal."
Maybe Verizon will add that to the list of rules.

  • Verizon email sub account storage

How do I increase the storage size for a email sub account?

Verizon sub accounts only get 250 MB of email storage. There is no way to change that limit.
If you need more space, you might consider downloading your mail to a client (Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Mac Mail, etc.) instead of keeping it on Verizon's servers. That way you are only limited by the amount of space on your pc. The downside of this is that your email is only stored on the one computer.
I believe portalling with Yahoo bumps the limit up for subs, but there are limitations there as well. It seems Yahoo isn't available for customers in areas that are moving to Frontier.
An alternate "solution" is to get a free address somewhere else. (Gmail, for example, offers over 7 gigs of space.) You can either use the free address as your email address, or simply forward all of your verizon.net mail to it and set up your @verizon.net address as a reply address within that account. With some domains, you can even set up your verizon.net account as a pop3 account, and use them in a fashion similar to OE, but have your content available on the web.
Hopefully this information is helpful to you.

  • How can I change my work email (sub account) to my own verizon account?

I want to keep my email intact. I have retired and my work sub-account needs to be changed to my personal account to make sure I don't lose it.

And what happens if you leave Verizon because you move out of its service area?  I know, unlikely, but it happens.
You can email your contact list from your old email account and merge with new account.   Look for a sharing function in your work email contact list.
You can then forward your work email to while you transition your contacts to your new email address.
I Recommend switching to safe, public Gmail account.  Unlike Yahoo, it isn't over-run with spam.
Gmail is free and will save all your contacts for use on any device.  As a way to move your information, going through gmail is very effective.
You can use gmail as the default but still use Verizon email. This way your contact list is always saved in a public email account.

  • Retrieve or change password for sub account

I need to retrieve or change the password for a sub account (my wife) Her computer died and am setting up her email on a new computer.

If you know the password to the sub, you can log into it and change the password the same way as you would change the password for the primary.
If you do not know the current password, you can try the forgot password link. Apparently this link is not the same accross all pages, and some of the links don't play well with sub accounts. Go to http://webmail.verizon.net and use the Forgot Your Password? link from there. You will have to answer the secret question for this method.
If you cannot remember the secret answer, you can call Tech Support and have them reset it for you. They will reset it to a random string of numbers and letters, which you can then reset to a personal password through the customer portal. Contrary to what Catemaco stated above, tech support does not have to set your permanent sub account password. Reset passwords are intended to be temporary measures.

    Hi. Welcome to the forums.
Do you receive any error messages when trying to receive the emails ?
If I may be frank, the fact that you can receive the emails on the old machine, and not the new one indicates a settings problem in the new machine (though other things can interfere).
Make sure that you have spelt the email address correctly, it is surprisingly easy to get a character wrong. Also make sure that you have got the correct server address mail.btinternet.com, and that you have the correct port number 25 - and not using any SSL (that is usually a tick box).
Please don't post any personal details on a reply (e.g. remove email address from any error message posted).

  • Sub accounts not working, all 5 of them

last week, i migrated my parent(main) account from yahoo to native verizon (after a spoof message from my account caused the need to change my password).  since then, i have been unable to log into any sub accounts.  each time i try to log into a sub account, it tosses me to a pin and then when pin is entered, it tosses me back to the parent account whose password, i do not want to change. I even went so far as to go into myverizon and delete one subaccount completely. when tried to add it back in using the same email address/username, it won't allow, saying that it's already taken.  in the meantime, i found that i could receive messages on the sub accounts using my iphone with the inbound setting to the verizon port but can only send messages from these accounts using the old yahoo port.  so, it seems that there is a massive communication error between yahoo and verizon and it appears that this is a years long contiuing issue from reading these message boards.  i believe that someone at verizon needs to take ownership of this and fix it before verizon ends up being hacked through an open yahoo back door. oh, i should mentio that i tried the support chat, which led to a phone call and no solution!
