Portal Related Links

hi,
I a workset I have to placed 4 related links, so in a page I have added the 4 iviews as related links. But when I click on the link ,the releted ivew is opening in a different window.I need to open it in the same content area,not in a seperate pop up window .
How can i do this?
Thanks in advance,
jesmi

Hi Jesmi,
For some reason, the Launch in New Window property of related link iViews is changed when the iView is added as a related link. Change this property back to the default -- show in place.
Hope this helps.

  • Relative links within a content area

    Hi
    Have anyone created a relative link, that is an anchor that
    points to a resource in the same page or content area, that works

    Can't be done. This is an enhancement we're looking at in a

  • Translation of standard SAP iviews such as the related links iviews

    Hi,
    does anyone know how to translate he default iviews such as the related links, dynamic navigation, drag 'n relate targets? These iviews do not exist in the PCD.  They are available only in the Inner Page on the Default Framework Page as a copy of the com.sap.portal.navigation.targets (Drag 'n Relate) iview.
    But I cannot translate the text "Related Links" using the Content Translation or via the PCD. Where are these translations stored and how do I change them?

    Hello,
    You can connect sap to .net using .net libraries.

  • How to display related links iview in content area?

    Hi,
    I have created Related links, but they are opening in a separate windows even though I have set the attribute of the iviews to "open in portal content area".
    Please let me know how I can display the iviews of the Related links in the content area.
    -Ashwini.

    Hello Ashwini,
    I don't think you have changed the property at the right place.
    Open the iview for which related link is added. Now from the drop down box at the top right select Related Link. The related link editor will open which will show the related link iview. Select the iview and click the EDIT button at the bottom. The related link iview will open. Now Change the "Launch in new WIndow" property.
    When you add an iview as reletd link to some other iview, a delta link is created and added to the iview.
    This will solve ur problem.

  • Tab region's with relative links?

    At the moment our tabs are being generated with absolute URL's and this is no good since the link uses our internal domain name that is inaccessable to the internet. Is there anyway to make them relative links?
    We have 2 domain names, portal keeps prefixing URL's with the internal one. This is very annoying since we want some users to access the site via the internal domain name and others to use the external one (via reverse proxy). We have been able to work around this for everything except tabs, the only solution I can think of is to use some wacky javascript that modifies the generated hrefs, but I really don't want to do that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are using portal 9.0.4.1.

    Thanks for that, but it's of no use to us. For instance:
    http://externaldomain.com/pls/portal/url/page/PAGE_GROUP/OUR_PAGE?p_id=4
    Will be redirected by portal to this:
    http://internaldomain.com:7777/portal/page?_pageid=53,679823&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL&p_id=4
    So external users can not access the page like this.
    I've had to add some javascript to the UI template for portal pages that use tabs as a work around. If anyone can come up with a better solution, please let me know. Here is my work around in case you're interested...
    <script>
    function correctURLs(){
         var arrURL = window.document.URL.toString().split("/p");
         var thisDomain = arrURL[0];
         var falseDomain = "http://internaldomain.com:7777";
         if (thisDomain == "http://externaldomain.com") {
              for (var i = 0; i < document.getElementsByTagName("A").length; i++ ) {
                   document.getElementsByTagName("A").item(i).href = document.getElementsByTagName("A").item(i).href.replace(falseDomain,thisDomain);
    </script>
    <body onload="correctURLs()">

  • Km document iview as a related link in a page

    I have created a KM document iview which points to a pdf, assigned the iview to a page, it works fine. But if i try to assign it as a related link to another page, go to the page and click on the link in related links area the document does not come up, and says page cannot be found. Right now i have set the launch in new window property to open in new window. Weird thing is if i set this property to open in portal content area and click on the related link it opens the pdf. Problem occurs only when i set the property to open in new window.
    Any ideas Gentlemen?
    Any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Firasath Riyaz.

    Ville,
    Thanks a ton for taking your time to post a reply.
    Yeah, I am able to preview from the pcd navigation structure and it works. The issue is only when I try to open it as a realted link.
    I was experimenting a little bit, and found that if I add the iview to a page and add that page as the related link, it works.

  • Related links

    Hi,
    I would like to mimic the design of the user administration functionality for my application.  however, I am having problems managing the related links in the detailed navigation. The links open in a new window, and I wish them to open in the cenral area.  Also, I don't wish to have the black page tabs at the top, only th elinks.  Does anyone have a solution.
    thanks in advance,
    Mariana

    Hi
    Permanent display is within the default framework, not your Page. It can be found in PCD>Portal Users>Standard Portal Users>Default Framework Page

  • Error Bad Request opening Related Links

    Hi everyone, I am having the following error.
    I created an I-view which points to an html page that is stored in KM.
    I then put this i-view as a related link to a page on a workset.
    When I click on the link on the Related Links i-view on DEV system it works ok, the popup with the html page is displayed correctly.
    But, When I click on the link on the Related Links i-view on PRD system in the popup it shows a HTTP 400 - Bad Request Error, if I then refresh the page (the popup page) then the html is shown correctly.
    I checked the URLs that are open on DEV and PRD and I found out that the behavior is different in the two systems.
    For DEV System the URL opened is (This is the one that works correctly):
    http://ecpepdev.red.ecopetrol.com.co:50600/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prteventname/navigate/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fco.com.ecopetrol.principal_ecopetrol!2fco.com.ecopetrol.Desktops!2fEcopetrol!2fframeworkPages!2fframeworkpage!2fcom.sap.portal.innerpage!2fcom.sap.portal.contentarea?NavigationTarget=ROLES%3A%2F%2Fportal_content%2Fco.com.ecopetrol.principal_ecopetrol%2Fco.com.ecopetrol.principal_roles%2Fco.com.ecopetrol.ess_ecp%2Fco.com.ecopetrol.wsPa_0%2Fpersinfo%2Fcom.sap.pct.ess.persinfo.pz03_lnk_page_3%2FrelatedItems%2FRelatedLinks%2Fco.com.ecopetrol.Informacion_Bancos
    For PRD System the URL opened is (This is the one that doesn't work):
    http://ecpep6prd.red.ecopetrol.com.co:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fco.com.ecopetrol.principal_ecopetrol!2fco.com.ecopetrol.principal_roles!2fco.com.ecopetrol.rolEssEcpAutoservicio!2fco.com.ecopetrol.wsPa_0!2fpersinfo!2fcom.sap.pct.ess.persinfo.pz03_lnk_page_3!2frelatedItems!2fRelatedLinks!2fco.com.ecopetrol.Informacion_Bancos
    As you can see on DEV System it opens up as a sort of event called Navigate, while on the PRD System it opens up as a redirection to the content.
    Can anyone help me on how to solve this issue?
    Or does anyone knows where is the configuration to decide how the related link is opened? (Navigate event or redirection).
    Best regards,
    Juan Daniel Riveros R.

    Anyone please help.
    Thanks,

  • EP 6.0 Innerpage, Navigation Panel, Related Links issues

    I have been trying to reposition the navigation panel and related links panel on my pages but haven't had any luck. What I am trying to do is I want to be able to create a template where I can move the relate links panel to any location I want. I also want to be able to rename the title of the related links panel. Please advice.

    OK. what i did was that I created a whole new portal desktop with customer page framework and layout. I also modified SAP-supplied par files in order to customize masthead, toolbar, navigiation panel etc.
    There is a tutorial on how to create a portal desktop. search around you will find it.

  • Identical Related Link for all pages

    We're trying to put a set of identical Related Link pages for all pages.
    I tried the following.
    Modify the DefaultFramework Page.
    Drill into Desktop Innerpage
    It consists of :
    Detailed Navigation
    Dynamic Navigation
    Drag&Relate
    Related links
    Portal Favorites
    Content Area
    Made of a Copy of the Content Area iview, and added 2 Relate Links into this iview (save it as Content_Area_2)
    Removed the Original Content Area under Desktop Innerpage and added Content_Area_2)
    What I essentially did was assigned related links to the content area of the Desktop Innerpage. That should bring up the Related Links for all iViews.
    Is that how it can be done ?
    Does not seem to work.
    Is there another way of doing it.

    You want to find all pages that have a particular image on
    it?
    From the Edit menu select Find and Replace.
    In the Find In drop down select Entire Current Local Site
    In the Search drop down select Source Code
    Then in the Find field type in the filename
    Now click Find All
    The search results will show you all pages, you can double
    click on each
    file and the page will open with the filename highlighted in
    the code.
    Its not perfect, but Dreamweaver isn't GoLive. If its a
    feature you
    would like to see ask Adobe:

  • Cannot remove related links

    something strange is happening with my brand new SAP Portal 7.0 ESS MSS installation. When I add a related link to a portal page, I cannot remove the related link anymore (the "remove" button is disabled). Is this a bug?
    Tiberiu

    Hi,
    check the authoriszations for copy/delete/remove for your role as a portal user. Might be some problem with the authorizations. Check with your system admin.

  • Removing the 'Portal Favorites' link

    We installed Collaboration and Content Management so that we could take advantage of UWL in EP 6.0 (SP11).  But now, the 'portal favorites' iView is in all our roles.  But I don't actually see the iView in the content config of each role, user, etc.  How do I turn off this feature, as we don't have KW fully installed and don't intend to.

    Hi BLPDave,
    Disabling the Portal Favorites are not part of properties of Desktop Inner Page. You need to edit the Desktop Inner Page, by selecting in radio button and then edit/process, not properties button. Inside of the page you will see some iViews (Portal Favorites, Related Links, Detail Navigation, Content Area, ...), one of them are Portal Favorites that should be deleted or just hidden.

  • Related Links with permissions

    Hello Portal friends,
    I am trying to create the following scenario:
    In first level navigation I have an area called "Process" and within on second level navigation there is a folder called "Logistics". Both are worksets. In the Logistics workset there is just a one BSP-Page to go through our B2B purchasing process.
    so the structure is
    workset Process --> workset Logistics --> page B2B-Purchasing
    within this page I want to have a related link to a report "B2B Purchasing report".
    This report is also in the portal
    workset Reporting --> workset Logistics --> page B2B Purchasing report
    My questions is the following:
    (How) can I put a related link (or something similar) on my B2B-Purchasing page so that I can open the B2B Purchasing report directly without navigating through the whole portal.
    It also would be necessary to only provide this link for users that are permitted to see the B2B Purchasing report
    is that possible and how is it done?
    regards, Alex

  • Remote and testing server don't see root relative links the same

    My site works fine on my testing server (Apache, MYSQL,
    PHP). I use root relative links in a library
    file (include file) so that it will work with all pages. For the testing server these links look like this:
    /my_sites_root_folder/aaa/bbb/ccc etc.
    If I use these same links on the remote server they won't work. To get hem to work I have to change all these links to the form
    /aaa/bbb/ccc etc.
    When dreamweaver uploads files to the remote server, the site name folder  (my_sites_root_folder) doesn't go along for the ride--just the files in it. So on the remote all the site files are stored in htdocs. On my testing server, the files are stored in htdocs/my_site_root_folder.
    I think it must have something to do with the way I'm setting up the remote and testing servers, but I'm read a hundred pages of instructions without being able to figure it out. I think I'm just seeing something wrong, but I've already spent days on this. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
    I'm using DWCS5. Internet explorer 8, Windows 7.

    Thank you for your prompt response. I'm afraid I'm still totally puzzled here. It sounds like you're very knowledeable about your comments, but I would like to know more. I accept that using the local site root in links would be bad, but I'm not clear WHY. Structuring the links as I have doesn't cause any links to break. I've structured them this way because it's the only way I can find that everything works. But I still do not understand WHY I have to do it. Using different libary include files doesn't seem like a good way to go, though
    You suggest that if I use any root relative links at all, I need to use vitual hosts. I'm not finding any good coverage of what these are, and especially why they are necessary. If this is the case, does that imply that templates (which use root relative links) also will not work on the test server (at least without vitual hosts)? The conclusion I'm coming up with, given your remarks, is "Dreamweaver doesn't work with root relevant links when you're trying to test a site with a test server." Is this right?
