Portal Style & Theme

Hi Guys,
I have integrated SRM 5.0 into Portal.Most of the iviews are IAC i.e., all are ITS based services.
The issue is that the Portal Theme does not get reflected on these services after integration.
When a BSP or Webdynpro is integrated the the application gets the Portal Theme,when executed from Portal but the ITS services are not getting this.
What can i do.
Regards,
Abhishek

All,
We had the same issue and reported it to SAP via OSS, they confirmed that it doesn't work...
Short Text
IAC Look & Feel in Portal (Theming)
Long Text
We want the IAC iViews that are provided by the
Business Package SRM to adopt the look & feel as
configured in our custom Corporate Portal Theme
object.
We followed all help.sap.com and notes (607843) that
are availible.
They discribe the use of System Administrator >
Portal Display > ITS Theme Generator.
We "tried" to use this tool to generate the theme for
the IAC applications but without any result. We
cannot find the reason why our Custom Corporate theme
will not apply to the IAC's.
Thanks in advance,

Dear Customer,
Thanks for the details provided.
The trace shows that the call for the css from the ITS and not from the
portal.
EBP system does not support the portal theme integration,
We have discussed this issue internally and come to the conclusion that
it is not possible to use a portal theme with SRM; that is, the SRM
application uses its own stylesheets and will *ignore* the portal theme.
You can however customize these stylesheets to fit the look and feel of
your portal theme. The main stylesheet in question is ebpapplication.css
https://tgxrr02.muc.allianz:8443/sap/public/bc/its/mimes/bbpglobal/99/style/ebpApplication.css
You can modify this stylesheet directly or even create a new SRM theme
if you like. The stylesheet can be found at:
Transaction SE80
Internet Service BBPGLOBAL
-> Mime Objects
-> Style
Simply modify this css (or create a whole new theme) and then republish.
Hope this helps, if so please confirm the message at your earliest
convenience.

Manikandan.
So I gues this will anser your question too...

  • Portal Style to BSP

    Hi,
    I have a BSP application inside a Portal IView, when the iView is created, there is an option to pass the Portal style to the BSP app, and it works fine. But, when the BSP in the iView call another BSP application the Portal style is lost. is it possible to use the same Portal Style in the second BSP application? Can i pass this style to other BSP application?
    Thanks in advance,
    Best Regards,
    Mario Cristóbal.

    If the BSP application uses the HTMLB library the theme can be changed using the sap-themeroot URL parameter.
    Normally the portal does use it.
    I'm not an expert in the portal setting, probably there is the option for iView for doing this.
    You can check if the theme root is passed correctly to BSP:
    - Open the BSP page properties and copy the URL into clipboard.
    - Start this decoder: http://home.arcor.de/artem.gratchev/lj/B64codec.htm (it automatically takes the URL from clipboard and decodes it at once after start)
    - See at the bottom of the page the parameter <b>p</b> itmust contain the whole theme root URL

  • User font in portal style

    I have a simple problem. I have created a new font in portal (which appears as a User Font rather than a System Font). I want to use this font in a portal style, however, it does not show up in the list of available fonts.
    Has anyone else experienced this?
    Regards,
    Roger

    User defined fonts are created from the SHARED COMPONENTS attribute of an
    APPLICATION.
    These shared components are subsequently used as building blocks when creating an APPLICATION and can therefore only be used in the APPLICATION COMPONENTS such as REPORTS etc. There is no option to use the fonts created as a shared component within a page itself.
    I am not sure how this functionality would extend to applying to pages but this is not currently supported.

  • Portal Style for BI 7.0 not used. Why?

    Hi all,
    i have problems with portal style.
    Here we use 2 portals. A and B.
    Portal A is a BI Portal belonging to a BI 7.0 system.
    Portal B is an Enterprise Portal which integrates existing BI and ERP information.
    We changed the existing portal style in BI portal (A) to change the visibility of reported BI information in portal. If we do the same changes in the Corporate Portal (B) the changes has no effect. Is there something special i need to know. I thought that the style from Enterprise Portal (B) is used also for BI data from connected Bi system and as i know portal and bi (7.0) shares the same portal style.
    Regards,
    Adem

    Hi Fabien,
    as i know portal and BI uses the same style.
    I can also set in component style the style for BI web temlpates from BW 2.0 and 3.0.

  • SAP Portal Custom Themes to change ESS/MSS UI Look and feel , possible ?

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where the look and feel of the UI controls of the ESS/MSS applications have to be different - Jazzy
    I know XSS homepage framework is for the customisation of Areas, Sub Areas. What I am more interested is only the look and feel UI of ESS/MSS applications.
    If I change the standard theme of portal using Theme Editor and create a new custom theme with different back ground colors, fonts, sizes for all the UI controls,.Will the customised Theme apply on the standard ESS /  MSS screens ? Also my doubt is we are using EHP3 and I am not sure how many are Webdynpro java based or webdynpro Abap based.
    Will the theme apply to both WDA and WDJ application UI controls?
    Any inputs in this regard will be of great help. thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    I see your thread is still unanswered, were you able to resolve the problem yourself (if so can you share with others who may have the same problem)? If so can you add anymore details which may help someone else to find an answer?  Or is it ok to mark this post as assumed answered?

  • Java Dynpro does not used portal default theme.

    Dear Expert,
    We have recently upgraded our support pack and everything works fine except the portal theme. We have our customize portal theme and we make it as the default portal theme. Everything looks fine with the portal where the customize theme is loaded. However when I call up some standard Java Web Dynpro application such as the Overview page or Leave Application, it is using the SAP default template (SAP_TRADESHOW). So it is a bit wierd where each part of the portal is using our customize theme but the content area where the Java Dynpro is loaded is using the SAP default theme.
    When i am trying to view the source of the content area (Overview Page). It is showing something like this.
      <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../../../resources/sap.com/tc~wd~dispwda/global/SSR/themes/sap_tradeshow/ur/ur_ie6.css">
      <style type="text/css">
        .hidden {
          position: absolute;
          top: 0px;
          left: 0px;
          margin: 0px;
          border: 0px;
          width: 0px;
          height: 0px
      </style>
    When I compare it with my production (before the support pack upgrade and everything is fine), the code are as below.
      <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.design.urdesigndata/themes/portal/ACNTHEMEI/ur/ur_7.0_ie6.css?7.0.13.1.0">
      <style type="text/css">
        .hidden {
          position: absolute;
          top: 0px;
          left: 0px;
          margin: 0px;
          border: 0px;
          width: 0px;
          height: 0px
      </style>
    Anyone know how to default the standard Java Dynpro to use the customize portal default there?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Bryan.

    Brian,
    WebDynpro application will not use the protal theme.

  • Render Portal Style Sheet in New Page

    I created a PL/SQL Portlet that displays a list of users. When you click on a person, a new window pops up and displays information about that user.
    That works find. However, I would like the window to have the same look and feel as the portal page. I need to bring the page style sheet (css) over to the next window. Do you know if a PL/SQL Portal API that can generate the style sheet in the header area of the new page that I opened?
    Should I use a template to display my information in? If so, how do I pass the results to this template?
    Thanks

    OK, I think I got it.
    I created a structure user interface template called My_Template. In the template I set up everything. I set up the look and feel, colors, images, etc.
    Now, in my code, I use the following API.
    PORTAL30.wwv_headings.show_header(
    p_template => 'PUBLIC.MY_TEMPLATE',
    p_heading => 'The Title',
    p_help_link => '');
    htp.p('</BODY></HTML>');
    Which will translate into the following HTML
    <HTML>
    <TITLE>My Title</TITLE>
    <BODY bgcolor="#B5B591">
    <TABLE width="100%" height="40" cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 border=0 bgcolor="#B5B591" >
    <TR>
    <TD width="1%" align="LEFT"><IMG SRC="/images/cantrac2.gif" ALT="Return to the CANTRAC MENU(Application Home)" border="0"></TD>
    <TD width="97%" align="LEFT"><FONT STYLE="font-family:Helvetica;color:black;font-size:16pt;"><B><NOBR>My Title</NOBR></B></FONT></TD>
    <!-- frame_link = -->
    <TD width="24" height="24"><IMG SRC="/images/cantrac_menu.gif" valign=top ALT="Application Home" border=" 0"></TD>
    </TR>
    </TABLE>
    </BODY></HTML>
    I still don't get the STYLE sheet but it looks close enough.
    When I create a unstructure UI template and use the #PAGE.STYLE# command, the style is null when I call a new browser window. Need to look into what portal API to use to get this information.

  • E71: Working N95-style theme for E71?

    Hi, has anyone found one of these yet? I have found some for the E61 but they do not give the N95 style folders when installed on the E71

    Thanks, so I have figured this much out thus far:
    I can only embed PostScript fonts by putting them in a SWF, and I don't have CS5 to test for the CFF property/option.
    However, I went into my project properties and unchecked the option to: "Use Flash Text Engine in MX Components", and now my postscript fonts are showing up again.
    Eventually I am going to upgrade all of my text controls to spark so I will test out CS5 and Post Script fonts then.
    I must admit, the embedAsCFF can be pretty confusing at first. I had fonts embedding correctly, but then my text inputs weren't editable at all. But removing that checkbox fixed it all for me, for now. Thanks.

  • Dynamic Portal personalization ( themes, languages)

    Hello All,
    I have a requirement which is as below
    1) Based on the roles/group attached to a user id, we should limit the list of available languages/themes dynamically in Portal personalization.
    For e.g when user with "X" role logins in, he can personalize "X" themes from available "X+10" themes .
    Similarly,the drop down of available languages which are available in user profile , should change dynamically. For user "x" , only 3 languages, for user "y" 5 languages to be visible in drop down.
    I have looked at the SAP Notes for Customizing list of available langauges as well as the locale properties, but this seems to be more hard coded stuff and does not vary on the user group or the roles which is what i want.
    Can any one tell me if this is possible using the Portal API and Abstract Portal Component development. any examples are highly appreciated.
    -PN

    Hi,
    Yes, it is possible and easy.
    You must to create different Desktops in PCD.
    Using "master rules", you define, which desktop use each user or users group.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/ed/f794f201654cc8bdd6968e350800d9/frameset.htm
    A desktop contain a Framework Page, and a Theme.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/1a/d7c1617dd29e4d85064b467636fada/frameset.htm
    Then, each user, depending of which desktop you assign it in Master rules, will use different theme.

  • SAP Portal custom themes not appearing in 'Personalize' link

    Hi.
    I am trying to make customised themes available to my users through the 'Personalize' link in the masthead. I have successfully customised the Personalize function so it now includes only the ability to choose themes - all other forms of personalisation have been stripped out. I have also successfully created a customised theme.
    My problem is that the custom theme I have created does not appear in the values list within Personalize -> Portal Theme. Only SAP standard themes are appearing in the list. I have managed to assign the theme to users through a display rule, so I know the theme works OK. I have tried exporting and re-importing the theme, this did not help.
    Does anybody know how I can make my custom theme available through the Personalize -> Portal Theme list?
    Thanks in advance for any help,
    Simon.

    Hi,
    Only the themes present in the desktop in which the users fall will be available in the personalize link.
    In detail
    System admin->portal display->Desktop and display rule ->open your desktop (in which the user falls)
    Add all your custom theme to the desktop.
    By now the custom theme will be present in personalize->custom theme.
