PORTAL TABS DISPLAYING INCORRECT INFORMATION

Good morning
One of my colleagues playes around with some custom settings in
the portal environment. My Content Area details now appears
under the Applications tab and I cannot find my applications!
The only way I can get to my applications is by selecting it on
the home page and navigating to it. Could someone please tell
me what my colleague did wrong in order that I can rectify it.

The Navigator page is just a portal page. The Pages, Content
Areas, Applications, and Database tabs contain portlets that
display the respective information.
Just edit the page and select the correct portlet from the
Portlet Repository. I don't know how your Portlet Repository
has been organized, but if you have trouble finding these
portlets just display the Portlet Repository (from the default
Portal home page, under the Administer tab) and search
for "Navigator".

UWL worklist item displaying incorrect information

Hello All,
We are facing an issue with UWL workitems, as per which when we open a workitem it displays data for some other workitem/ request instead of the correct one.
We are on NW 7.0 SP 18 and the process flow is like this:
A customer is created in Portal and a customer number is assigned to it lets say number 1000, now when we check the UWL, the line item for customer number 1000 displays correctly, now when we click on it, the page loads with values as per customer number 1001. which is incorrect. These values in UWL are being fetched from a staging table in GP.
P.S: This doesnt happen to every user, this is intermittent and is more evident when a large number of workitems are present.
Any help or pointers is appreciated.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes i did check SAP's note: 982888 for this issue and as per the suggestion they had asked to upgrade the component SAP-EU to SP 10 level but we are currently on SP 18 level for component SAP-EU.
Also this issue is intermittent and doesnt occure to all the users. Also the number of workitems listed in the user's inbox does seem to trigger this issue's occurence, since we are unable to replicate the same in our Development and Quality systems due to less number of workitems available.
The only thing we havent done right now is to Clear the UWL Cache and a restart of the system.
Let me know if you come across any more suggestions related to this.

Portal: Tab displayed but not assigned to any roles of user

HI Experts,
I have a problem need your great help.
When I logon portal as a specific user, there are 5 tab in home page. When I check the role list, 3 tabs doesn't assigned to any roles this user owned.
Then I try to copy current user into a new user, and logon in . There are only 2 tabs left, which belonged to assigned role.
How those 3 tab assigned into this user? Can we assign iView/Page/Workset directly to user without role?
Any suggestion appreciate. Thanks so much!

You can find if the user id belong to a particular group with the following ways,
Log in as an admin and go to User Admin -> Users- > Seach -> Enter the user Id and serach for the user -> Select the 5th icon with the tool tip ->Assigned Groups"
or
User Admin -> Group -> Search for the group.
or
You can use UME API to find out whether the is belowng to a group though coding.

CSM Displaying incorrect information

On our current infastructure we have a number of Vservers built , utilising vserver SSO-GP-443
serverfarm SSO-GP-SY-443 backup SSO-GP-NW-443
Both server farms show up and available until we fail the primary server farm, when this happens the Vserver shows as below

Although on testing, traffic is passed to the servers and the display may be purely cosmetic, but we would like this confirmed and also if its a known bug , if this is the case when this bug will be fixed

ASDM displaying incorrect information

Has anyone seen something like this before - so I know I m not crazy.
Under Firewall/Objects/Newtork Objects/Groups there is an option to find/display all objects that are "Not Used". when i check this however, most objects are actually used in either a standard or extended ACL on this firewall, or in a bookmark for a SSL connection.

I just attempted the share myself with a contact and found it did not transmit the notes field either. I've only used this method for sharing maybe twice since I've had my iPhones. I don't remember if it ever worked before, and then I wouldn't know why it wouldn't. Sorry I couldn't help any more than that.

ISE incorrect information on the Dashboard after root patch

Hi all,
my customer had an issue related to AD login, after Cisco dev got involved customer was given a root patch "rpssh_12.tar.gz" after applying this during the weekend now the Active guest (dashboard) displays incorrect information. meaning : it tells the customer that from the Weekend on till right now they have 613 active Guest Accounts. But this isn't true.
just wondering whether someone experienced the same problem, if not I guess i will have to escalate this to Cisco too :(.

I think there is some issue in you root patch installation. Try to remove and reinstall it.

Inventory Chassis Slot Details on CiscoWorks 3.2.1 displays wrong information

Hi experts,
Our customer is using CiscoWorks 3.2.1. He tries to generate a report using RME > Reports > Report Generator > Inventory > Chassis Slot Details , but generated report displays incorrect information (total and available slots on chassis) for all the equipments (customer has 120 equipments aprox.)
Here just a sample of 4 equipments:

IView's language is displayed incorrectly in Portal

I have a problem with an iView's language property in SAP Portal 7.02. I can't run this iView correctly because of it displays in the portal in Portuguese or Spanish randomly.
I want to visualize this iView in Portuguese, like the other content and menus in the portal, but sometimes and always using the same login user, this iview is shown in Spanish... I uploaded the translation packages twice and the other iviews in the portal are displayed correctly.
I don't understand why this problem occurs randomly sometimes displayed wrong in Spanish sometimes properly in Portuguese like the other iviews in portal content.
Internet Explorer is configured in Portuguese.
How can I fix this issue? Do I need to configure any component of this iView?

And check the properties of that application in R/3 System.
Otherwise check the user personalization also

The song titles are displayed incorrectly, how do I fix this?

Ever since an update of itunes a couple of months ago, the titles have been displayed incorrectly in my library. I listen to a lot of Chinese, Korean, and Japanese music and after the update the information turned into squares. I went online and tried the much given solution of converting the id3 tags. This resulted in all my songs (even the english ones) turning to Chinese script when I reversed unicode, which was solved by reversing it again. However after trying all the id3 versions I am now left with a part of my songs being displayed as ?????? and with the other, largest part having the correct names but with the symbol Ƞ spread throughout the titles, which is annoying to say the least.
Other programmes on my computer display the different scripts just fine, and I have Japanese and Korean installed so as to be able to write it. The songs are also still displayed correctly if I acces them in their folders.
I am kind of losing hope after trying to find a solution on the internet for a while now, and have even re-installed itunes completely, to no avail.
If anyone has any suggestions or possible solutions, I'd be very grateful.

Sounds like you have been on the right track with regard to troubleshooting this issue. It may be worth going over the font troubleshooting in the following article, just to double check (it refers to a previous version of iTunes, but the troubleshooting steps should be similar).

Portal tab as a input to WD aplication

Hi Experts,
I am developing an application in NWDS 7.11, this application will be integrated to EP. This application will be used under three different portal tabs (Ex: US, India, UK), this single webdynpro application should display the data based on the tab selection. Say for example if i select US, application should be able to fetch US related data.
Here my question is, how i will get the selected portal tab in the webdynpro application.
Note: Selected tab will be the input for my application

or
Portal top level navigation act as a tab for webdynpro?
Both are possible easy one is first option second will have Object level navigation.
For data fetching we have to call services at tab level.

office 2013 with Hebrew language pack on windows 7 professional English version. Some messages in outlook display Hebrew HTML incorrectly (Left to Right). Not all of the message displayed incorrectly but just some parts of it. It offers me to view the

Illustrator CC 2014 Links Panel Displaying Incorrectly

Hi,
I am having trouble with the Links panel in Illustrator CC 2014.
The panel does not display correctly, it seems to hide all of the link information and preview unless I enlarge the panel to a huge size.
Even if I resize the window it still displays incorrectly and hides all of the link previews. The same also happens when I hide all of the link information as well.
Is anyone else having this problem and / or has a solution?

Has a solution been found?I am actually having another issue with the links panel and the links themselves. Sometimes my links panel will not even show up when clicking Window>Links Panel. Whether it shows up or not, I can no longer work with linked images in illustrator. Simple clicking on a linked image inside a clipping mask causes illustrator to stop for about five minutes. Releasing the clipping mask takes another five. Moving the image behind the clipping mask takes another five along with re-making the clipping mask. It is certainly not the hardware because I can quickly minimize illustrator, make edits in PS, download a movie while playin iTunes...while illustrator is taking 5 minutes to move an object. I am truly stumped by this, someone please help as it costing me hours and hours of time at work.

Zen micro: mine displays incorrect track duration t

Hello all,
I've had my zen mirco since january 2005, and i've noticed that a bunch of the tracks display the incorrect duration time...usually by around 40 seconds. for example, windows (and windows media player) will say a track is 6:02 duration and zen explorer and the device itself will say the duration is 5:35.
in fact, a bunch of my songs on my zen micro say that the duration time is 0:00 when they clearly are not. when these tracks are played on the device, the track time bar is completely full and plays normally.
has anyone else noticed problems with duration times?
although all the songs play normally (ie. they dont get cut off) its just annoying that i payed so much money for a device that shows incorrect information. and when i try to skim through a track that shows 0:00 duration, it just skips to next song when i press the >> button. weird huh?

As per the FAQ, it's down to the ears of the individual. You might prefer a particular codec or bit-rate, whereas someone else might not like it. It's best to experiment for yourself.
In terms of MP3 though, LAME is widely acknowledged as being the better codec for high bit-rate music encoding. Most rippers can be configured to use this.

Server Admin GUI not displaying complete information

Recently, the Server Admin GUI stopped displaying complete information for one of our servers. It works fine for the other.
All servers are set up very much the same, other than one is an Xserve and one is a G5 tower. The one giving the grief is the G5 tower.
Server Admin is version 10.4.7 and was working fine until a few days ago.
When I click on the computer name (or IP) in the "Computers and Services" list, then look at any of the tabs > "Overview" "Logs" "System" "Graphs" or "Update" no information is retrieved. With the exception of Hard Drive capacity.
All other services (Web, VPN, Mail) report all info without problems.
Weird, hey? Any thoughts appreciated.
