Portals to Crystal integration
Hi all,
I have installed EP 6.0 SP2. Now i want to integrate portals with crystal enterprise 10. I have integrated portals with BW system in system administration> system configuration> system--> and created a new system landscape. So for integration with crystal do i need to do the same type of configuration??
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Fahad
Hi Fahad,
Please contact Business Objects Technical Support as they should be able to provide you with a whitepaper that explains all the configurations steps for Crystal and EP6.
Hope that helps,

Hi all!
I have download an image of SAP B1 Crystal Integration from SAP B1 portal and install an AddOn.
My AddOn is in english.
I want to translate it on my native language (in russian).
In image, that i have download, there was source code for addon.
But the source code does not contain all files. This source is not compiled.
When I open solution in Visual Studio, some files are marked as "missing files" in solution explorer. When i can get a full version of source code for this AddOn?Hello,
This forum is for Business Objects and Crystal Reports.

Oracle Portal and Discoverer Integration
We're trying to integrate Discoverer with Portal unsuccessfully.
We made many things in accordance with oracle's documentation until add discoverer portlets (worksheet and list of workbooks) in a test page.
In view mode, the worksheet portlet shows the error:
"The portlet has not been defined. The publisher must define the portlet by clicking on Edit Defaults for the portlet on the edit mode of this page. Please contact the publisher of this page."
We think we have to edit properties before. Is this? Anyway edit worksheet portlet crashes between step 1 and 2. The error is: "The listener returned the following Message: 500 Internal Server Error".
We have a public conection created in EM and a discoverer application which can be viewed using plus or viewer.
Furthermore, it's not possible delete the added portlets neither the page that contain it. The error at delete is:

ThanksHi there,
Have you applied any patches to 9ias since it was first installed? We had the same problem and had to apply a couple of patches to get the portlets working.
1. Apply the 9.0.2.53.16 one-off patch for Oracle 9iAS Discoverer which takes Discoverer up to 9.0.2.53.16. This patch appears to be password protected and you need to get someone at Oracle support to give you a password.
2. Apply the Discoverer Portlet Provider: 9.0.2.53.00c patch (patch no. 2595444) which gives you a new discportal.xsl file that actually works. It's this second step that solves your problem but you need to do step 1 before this. This is password protected as well.
3. As you've upgraded Disco on the server to 9.0.2.53, you'll need to upgrade Disco Admin & Desktop within your 9iDS installation using patch no. 2555265. This is because Disco 9.0.2.53 uses an upgraded EUL that Disco Admin & Desktop need to be patched to use.
This was the course of action Oracle support advised us about nine months ago. Of course they may have released a further patch to Disco that does 1 & 2 in one go, but we regularly carry out steps 1 and 2 on servers we use and we can use the Disco portlets successfully.
Hope this helps

SAP Crystal integration Add on - error message
Hi,
I installed the add on the server and it works fine.
I installed on the workstatation and it installed without error.
When I got to run a report through the Manage Crystal Reports screen on the server, the report prints fine.
When I do the same on the workstation I get the error
Could not load File or Assembly 'crystaldecisions.windows.forms, version 12.0.0000.0,
Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304 or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
The user has rights to the folder where the crystal reports are b/c they can open them up and run them in crystal with no error. They just get this error with the add on. They have the full version of crystal so I didn't install the runtime. I did check that the CrystalDesignerPath.txt was correct.Like other I did the install of the crystal runtime on the PC. Now the Add 2.0.0.7 on works. BUT now crystal reports 2008 full version does not.
the client must be able to get into crystal to modify reports. have to uninstall crystal integration 2.0.0.7 and runtime 12.1 and crystal reports 2008. Reinstall crystal reports 2008, and crystal integration 2.0.0.6 and runtime 12.0 and works fine.
I made a second intent with the guide SAP_CRYSTAL_InstallInstructions.pdf, including .net framework 3.5 and no works crystal reports 2008.

Crystal Integrator add on version 1_10 Hardware Error on Citrix Server
Hi All,
I have encountered an error when I tried to access crystal reports in SBO 2005A version using a Citrix Server.
I have installed crystal integrator add on version 1_10 and when I opened crystal reports inside SAP in the main server, I have not encountered any problem. The error occurs when I opened the same reports in SAP using Citrix Server.
My error encountered is:
-2147206453
Crystal Reports ActiveX Designer
There was a hardware error
What seems to be missing?
Thanks for your help!
Kind regards,
A. TugotHi,
Did you used the command prompt before installing the addons on the citrix server.
You have told that in sap b1 server its working fine, then you should use-change user \install in the command prompt.
Also check these notes:[871222|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/smb_searchnotes/display.htm?note_langu=E¬e_numm=0000871222|How to successfully install AddOns on citrix server],[770558|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/smb_searchnotes/display.htm?note_langu=E¬e_numm=0000770558|Running SAP Business One & SAP Business One add-on on citrix]

Portal with Crystal Enterprise
Hi when i try to make export report from portlet I get string in portlet. See attach
file. But i need a download promt for report
[untitled1.jpg]Hi Ingo,
I really thank you for all your help. Really appreciate it.
I imported the Business Package and par file from the below folder on the Crystal Enterprise Server:
C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\Web Content\Enterprise12\SAP\iviews\import\ep
I immported : com.businessobjects.pct.sap_pik.epa
and I uploaded : com.businessobjects.pct.masteriview.par
The import and upload were successful.
After this I read in the guide that:
The BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Solutions install includes sample
iViews. They are located in the following folder: C:\Program Files\Business
Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\Web
Content\Enterprise12\SAP\iviews\import\ep.
This folder contains all the files that are needed for you to import sample
iViews to your portal. The subfolder ep contains files for SAP Enterprise
Portal 6 (.epa files). Within each of these subfolders are additional subfolders
that contain the corresponding files for JSP.
But this is the same folder from which I uploaded and imported the .epa and .par file. There are no additional files to import sample iViews to my portal. The subfolder "ep" contains only 2 (.epa and .par) files as discussed above. there are no additional subfolders that contain the corresponding files for JSP.
Is this correct?
Also, where can I find the iViews that I imported when I imported the business package? It says that :
Pg 159
Configuring the imported content:
After you have imported the import files for the iViews, you will find the folder
(BusinessObjects Enterprise Integrations Kit) in the Portal Content Directory.
Where do I find this folder?
Thanks SB -
Enterprise Portal - MDM - LDAP integration
We are succesfully able to integrate Portal to MDM with a trusted connection and with portal users existing in LDAP and mdm users existing in MDM console.
We also successfully integrated MDM with LDAP so that we dont have to store users in console, but manage them in LDAP. But once we did the LDAP integration, portal to MDM connection was lost saying mdm user details could not be retrieved.
Has anybody faced this issue? what key steps to taken care during MDM-LDAP integration.Hi goerge,
When ever we integrate MDM with LDAP, we need to make a setting in MDS.ini file.
Please check the "User Identifier" setting in MDS.ini file.
Typically this should be The name of the LDAP id field which will match the value the user provides as the Username at logon.
Make the entry in MDS.ini like User Identifier = cn or SamAccountName.
If that is done, please verify other parameters corresponding to LDAP in MDS.ini as per the table 91 in Page no 291 in MDM Console referece guide.
Or refer to the SAP note 1635338 for reference which is pointing to same issue.
This should solve your problem.

Explore SAP CL cluster table folder using Crystal Integration Kit
Dear All,
I am a SAP FICO consultant and have just installed the SAP integration kit and CRYSTAL 2008 with a Business Object consultant. We planned to access the SAP cluster tables and replace some ABAP reports with CRYSTAL and Business Objects Reports.
We have encountered the below two key problems, which I am hoping you can help with:
- I am only able to view the three folders stated (CL, DD & FN) after giving the CRYSTAL User ID full SAP_ALL access and not with the limited access in the installation guide, profile CRYSTAL_ENTITLEMENT.
- I can not see any cluster tables within the CL (Cluster) folder as expected and only see data in the FN (Function) & DD (Data dictionary), even after giving the CRYSTAL ID the SAP_ALL access.
Please can you assist from your experience of implementing the Integration kit with SAP ERP?
Products used: SAP ECC6, CRYSTAL 2008 SP2 and current Integration Kit.
Kind Regards,
Mo.
Edited by: Mo Habib on Nov 6, 2009 2:26 PMThanks for you replies and I also had a look at Ingo's blog "BusinessObjects and SAP Part 4". The blog indicates that the CL folder is not for the standard cluster tables but specifically for ABAP clusters. Hence why I can not see any tables within this folder as they have to be mapped and setup in SAP if required.
My installation must therefore be correct and I should just use the DD folder for accessing SAP cluster tables? Many thanks for your help and if you can confirm my above assumption then I will mark question as answered.
Cheers,
Mo. -
Portal & Oracle Reports Integration
I have a customer that is considering integrating both Portal and Reports.
Dependent on the user that is requesting the report, the customer would like
to limit the amount of information returned.
I am considering suggesting Virtual Private Database (VPD) as a solution
at the DB end. However, the customer anticipates that dozens of users will
be connecting to the Portal as different users but Oracle Reports will be connecting
to the DB as a single user.
I would like to relate to them how they could still take advantage of VPD. How will
the customer pass the user's identity along? Any ideas and/or suggestions is
appreaciated.Julie,
Here is the workaround. You can't have any PORTAL components in that same portal application. You can have LOVs, but no Portal Forms or Portal Reports. Just register all of your RDFs in their own application. -

RajLooks like the user registry setting/configuration is not correct. The Websphere provides 2 integration point to external apps - the TAI and the User Registry. While it looks that the TAI (Trust Association) configuration is okay, the user registry config is not correct. Please check and let us know what is given there in the user registry.
Hope this helps. Let us know. -
Oracle Access Manager - Sharepoint Portal Server 2007 integration
Does anyone know a proper documentation link for OAM-Sharepoint portal integration. We have followed pretty much the same steps provided on OTN site. No luck, integration is not working.
Our OAM is listening to OVD for the user data which at the backend is pointed to AD whereas sharepoint is listening to AD for authentication.
we also tried custom http module to read the headervar and authorize the user (steps provided by asp .net - siteminder integration). It was authenticating the user, but some links were missing and when clicked on peoples and group link it says access denied for this user. Dunno where exactly we are doing wrong.
Does OAM which is listening to OVD for user data supports OAM-Sharepoint integration?
Any help on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks!Since you are getting "Welcome unknown" then there's definitely something wrong with the configuration you have done for the integrated windows authentication and impersonation. It has nothing to do with the user store, OVD should work perfectly fine.
If you are using 10g I suggest you
1. check the event viewer to see if your impersonation is working correctly. you should see logins to the system by impersonation user as well as the user you are trying to login with. See http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12530_01/oam.1014/e10356/shrpprtl.htm#CHDFGBFC
2. check if you have given all the necessary permissions to the impersonation user. See http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12530_01/oam.1014/e10356/shrpprtl.htm#CHDHGIJA
3. Test the impersonation on some other site on IIS rather than Sharepoint
Once your impersonation works you would have all the accesses which that user is entitled to in the Sharepoint.
Hope this helps,
Sagar
