Please help, I have 10 pcs M100, and 7 of them have no setting in Bios for "CPU Dynamic Frequencies Setting" (set the CPU speed, always low, always high, dynamic). The notebook that don't have that setting always run at 598 MHz. I already check with Sisoft Sandra and in windows system properties. The properties always show that the notebooks have Pentium-M 1,2GHz running at 598MHz. No different between running with ac adapter or battery.
The other one with the CPU Dynamic Frequencies Setting, can dynamically adjust the CPU clock. They can run at 1200MHz normally.

The Dynamic CPU Frequency mode is available in the Toshiba HWSetup.
There you can switch between the dynamically switchable mode, always high and always low mode.
Please check it!

Retail Leopard disc looks like this;
(The disc itself has the same logo). If the one you've got is grey it simply won't work.
Given the retail and second hand prices of Leopard (usually some on Amazon MP), you'll probably find it cheaper to go directly to Snow Leopard, although there could be software updates and printer driver problems that could nullify the difference.

I was thinking whether the Thunderbolt screen has a larger power supply which easier activates the computer to actually receive the charge. It reminds me a bit of the Nokia Lumia 800 telephone, which when totally exhausted needs a strong charger to be activated again. I am as frustrated as most others. I have got two chargers, and both of them sometimes work, other times not. Sometimes, they start working after a while. Is Apple meanwhile coming up with a solution or advice how to handle such situation?

I just got my ATD and late 2011 MBP up and running. I've not tried running without the power adapter from the ATD plugged in, but I just tried and didn't have any problems with the display not waking. Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

I'm not sure if we will implement this. Sharing all the tabs you have open have many more security and privacy issues. Someone forgets that they had a tab open they did not want to share or miss-clicks on the share all option.
We are looking into better ways to share tabs with devices that are nearby. Especially if they are on the same WiFi network.

Use the Toshiba recovery disk or the Toshiba HDD recovery option.
If you dont have the Toshiba Recovery disk try the HDD recovery:

How can I create a file in iMovie with a lengthy audio file, but only 1 picture?

Let me state first off that I'm a blind user using the Voiceover screen-reader in OS X.
Now, I want to upload some audio to Youtube, but they do not allow simple MP3 files. As such, I want to create a file in iMovie with my audio and 1 picture to use as a visual. Within iMovie, I add my audio file, select a picture, but when I publish, the audio is cut off after only a few seconds. Can someone please explain how I can fix this issue so my entire audio clip will play?

iMovie is a visual medium, so you need to make the duration of your photo at least as long as your voiceover track. You should be able to double click on your photo and then enter a duration.

An MP3 file may work for you, but for best results, use a WAV or AIFF file (uncompressed). You can convert MP3 to AIFF in iTunes. Let me know if you need instructions.

I am setting up my new iPhone 5s with back up from iCloud but only my expired applied is recognised. even though i put in the original correct password it is not accepted as message comes up that "your apple id or password is incorrect". I am stuck.

It shows my old expired Apple id (my old email address). There is no option to change the id and even when I put in the correct password for the old id (used originally) it kicks me out with the message ""Your Apple ID or password is incorrect" .. this is true as my apple id is wrong but I cant change it. 2 Front End Servers with reporting enabled in topology but only one server shows reports

We have 2 Front End Standard pool servers with resiliency enabled between them. The monitoring service is configured in the topology so that both Front End Servers point to the same monitoring database. We have half our users homed on 1 Front
end and half the other users sitting on the other Front End. In the Reports we can only see information on Audio calls made from users that are sitting on our Primary Front End Pool Server however we cannot see call information from users that are sitting
on the other front end server?

We have applied the backend updates and verified the config by running Test-CSDatabases cmd-let . I ran enable-cstopology and ran bootstrapper.exe and rebooted both Front End Servers, however we are still unable to see monitoring data of users
homed on our second Lync Front End server.

on tablets (to my knowledge at least in landscape mode) the number of open tabs will be displayed on the top left site, whereas on phones this information is on the top right - so this part should be a good indication of which version you're getting.

HT2688 How do I share my music library with my friend's iPod but only provide him with certain songs?

I have a iMac where I have a music library set up. My friend has ipod touch, 32 GB. How do I select only certain songs from my library to go on his ipod (there are approximately 3000 songs in the library) without having to go through all of the songs and "tick" or "untick" each song. Would it be better to set up a separate library for him. If so, how do I do this and how do I transfer the songs from one library to another. I'm very new at this so please explain alot.

You are most of the way there. Each user having access to hard drive is the key. If users are limited in file privileges this is harder.
Any files you add to your library and any files she adds to her library are available to the other. Just not automatically. Each user must add the files to their own library using the add file or add folder option from menu bar.
What I have done is set library location to a location outside of My Documents\My Music. On my network storage I have a folder names s:\itunes. Both accounts iTunes are set to use this location for the library.

Halo opens on one account but only runs the promo video on the other account. The menu flashes up but goes directly to the promo then shuts down. Is this malware

On my husband's laptop OS 10.6.8 he opened Halo which has worked fine in the past. Instead of the usual loading then menu it flashes on screen the menu then immediately launches into a video which features all the maps on Halo then quits. I tried removing and reinstalling from the disk but no change. However I opened Halo on his administrative account and it worked fine.
Can anyone tell me how I can check what is interfering with the game? He recently got an email that contained a virus but didn't download or open the attachments. Removed the email from online account by putting it in the trash which was also online.
He is not very internet literate and downloads files without caution sometimes. I'd appreciate any input.

I know nothing about this game, but since it works in the other account the problem might be a corrupt preference file. Go to the library>preferences in your home folder and see if there's a file named halo something.plist. Move it to the Desktop and see what happens if you open up the game now. You will probably have to redo some settings for the game.

Couple of questions:
What type of Tracks are they (MIDI, AUdio, Drummer)?
WHen you play your Project, do You hear all Tracks playing?
What happens when you change the Track order, i.e. A-B-C to B-C-A? WHen you export, do you still get only one Track and if so, is it talways the first Track in the list or a specific Track regardless if it is the first, second, or third?
Are you sure you don't have any Tracks Muted or Soloed (which auto-mutes the other Tracks)?

Hangs with Master only running

Have been 4.7.25 with replication capabilities. Starting Master only running and no slaves hangs after a while.
The db put() hangs.
On attaching debugger the thread is waiting on mutex lock.
Tried to see who has locked the mutex and another thread is locked the mutes and the trace is

Looks like when the queue is full we try to wake up this thread from __repmgr_wake_main_thread().
This function is sending one byte only in pipe. and the read is trying to read 10 bytes as buf is defined as buf[0].
Is this the cause of the his hang up ??

We are running on linux Redhat and Ubuntu servers.
What we noticed after adding fprintf statements to function that is writing to pipe and the function reading from pipe, we noticed that in the beginning that the write and read works properly.
But after while the select() call triggers a read ready on the reap_pipe handle (spurious one). This leads to read hanging and the log also indicates that no write has happened earlier for the read to succeed.
I patched it up in a different way and this SEEMS to solve this issue. I would like you to verify if this has any ramifications.
I am using the db-4.7.25.NC .tar.gz and these line numbers below correspond to this download image from your site.

Beyond 2560 x 1440 with External Monitors - is W540 the only Option?

Hello Everyone,
I went through great efforts to upgrade my x201 to a T430s (NVIDIA) in order to drive 3 external monitors from a dock which I finally got to work.
I do this because I like to travel between home and the office, but have equally elaborate set ups with external video and external audio, yet while being able to travel with the same laptop.
I am now experimenting with 2, not 3 monitors, using the new LG 34" curved monitors, which are a bit bigger and display at 3440 x 1440.
The good news is using my T430s I am able to get both monitors to display at 3440 x 1440 and they look great!
The bad news is that if I open up just one too many windows, or drag something across the extended desktop, they are crashing.
When they crash, I lose the signal (DisplayPort) and get error messages from the monitors.
I have already spoken to
1) Lenovo sales
2) Lenovo tech support
3) Lenovo tech support in Atlanta
and no one seems to have any idea what I am talking about.
I am guessing I may need to upgrade from my T430s, which I would rather not do.
I am also guessing that the W540 would have enough graphics / video horsepower to drive at least 2 of these higher resolution monitors?
In an ideal world, I would not have the extra weight or features of the W540, but first and foremost, I want multiple and dazzling high resolution displays from a dock.
Given that I am going from 3 screens down to 2, also wondering if say, an X1 Carbon might drive 2 using a dock?
Or it is only able to drive 2 screens at 1920 x 1080 or 2560 x 1440 best case.
In summary, any advice please:
1) W540 using LG "ultrawide" screens as described above
2) Any other Lenovo laptop not as big or heavy as the W540 which would still have high end, high powered graphics capabilities when docked?

Re Lenovo tech "support" I am a die hard Lenovo fan (4 laptops so far...) but find Lenovo's website confusing and their tech support terrible.
For my T430s, I paid for at least an hour of support to no avail, before discovering that it was a simple Windows update that was the key to driving 3 external monitors, with better information generally coming from this forum. Supposedly, even the T430s with the NVIDIA upgrade can handle 3 external monitors at 2560 x 1440.
Now, however, I would like to use bigger and higher resolution screens, even if it means going from 3 external monitors to only 2.
I have used the T430s and dock, driving 2 of the new Samsung 28" 4K monitors up to 2560 x 1440 without any issues. But moving up to the LG 34 ultrawide screens with 3440 x 1440, I can only run one. With 2 it becomes unstable.
I hope more Lenovo fans tune into the resolution and display quality - it would only enhance the brand.
Even for business only users, with data and text, everything is cleaner, crisper and less fatiguing at the higher resolutions.
ColonelONeill thanks for suggestion but hoping to find an integrated, on board, plug and play, drop into the dock and be done with it solution.
So again, hoping that worst case, the W540 with the highest spec video card could drive 2 of the LG ultrawide monitors without struggling?
Or one of the other newer machines?
