Portege M400 and the Toshiba valued add

Hi..
I want to installed the toshiba driver package valued add (power meter tool etc) in my Win7.
But if i try to install it the setup routine says, that i havent a Toshiba Notebook or my Bios is to low for that.
I have Bios Version 3.80 and i doesnt find any newer Bios version for the M400
any ideas about the error message?

I can just imagine your old Portege m400 is not Win7 supported.
Where you downloaded VAP for your notebook model when M400 is not on the list for Win7 drivers?

On the left edge, the colored rectangle is a text block in which I inserted the label values.
Of course if you dislike this scheme, you are perfectly free to use an other application.

The function to combine pdf files and the function to add bookmarks stopped working in 10.x

We had VBA scripts in Access 2003 running with Acrobat 7.0 standard version to combine pdf files and to add bookmarks. The scripts worked fine. Now we installed 10.x and the functions stopped working. Does anyone share the same experience?
In the scripts, we just call the OLE object with the code like:
Set acroOrigPdfDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")
Set acroNewPdfDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")
Then we have the call "acroOrigPdfDoc.InsertPages" and "acroOrigPdfDoc.Save" to save the combined pdf files. All these functions work fine under 7.x. Under 10.x, they stopped working without any error messages.
Can anyone help me?

for employee 299 there are 3 records it must give the new record which is the latest date i.e start date 1-aug-2011 and end date 30-aug-2011 old record will be

HD DVD using DVD SP 4 and the Toshiba HD-A1SN player

I just upgraded the firmware on my toshiba HD-A1SN player from vs 1.2 to 2.0.
It will no longer play the HD DVD videos that I produce with DVD SP 4. They have been playing fine before this. A friend of mine has experienced the same problem.
Anyone have a solution to this problem?

It is interesting that Ulead seems to be working right now, and I may pick up a copy to play with, but I would guess Apple is working on it now.
It still is up in the air, the early Toshibas did not work with H.264, which HD DVD players should be able to do.
Though it would be nice to be able to author all of these things yesterday, with the state of flux about what standards when, for the time being I'd rather have Apple work to get a good version out when it can. Hopefully sooner than later.
DVD has been out for quite awhile and there are still issues there from time to time (and not just DVD SP issues), so HD and blu-ray are going to present a whole new slew of issues.
While Ulead is able to do this (it seems) I am not ready to criticize Apple in this case. If firmware changes causes a player to play or not to play I am not sure it is Apple's fault.
The only thing I would say Apple did that I can see an issue with is how they mention HD. Not that it made a difference to me because I always get the new releases of anything Apple, but HD did imply, well HD. And the portion that mentions G5s or Intels for playback seems more like the "will not play on G3s or G4s" (older computers would not have the proper drives or horsepower to author an HD or make a disc play.)
And it did seem that it would produce HD discs that were HD Compliant from older versions even http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/dvdstudiopro4updates.html
I wonder if we should start a pool or something as to when the next big release of DVD SP is coming. My guess is the day after I purchase another copy of the existing suite

Wifi is very unstalbe on my Satellite L50D-B and the Toshiba updates to win 10 seems to be infected

The computer is less than 2 weeks old. It came with windows 8.1 AND undstable wifi so I thought i would upgrade to win 10 to overcome this issue that is common if you look at the net and without any easy solutions. The update did not resolve the problem - the wifi connectivity is still very poor. I tried to update the drivers through the Toshiba Service station but were not able to download anything as my avast antivirus insist on the files being infected with win32:evo-gen.(look at the pic)Not just a single file - all of them. A similar attempt to get the files form here http://win10upgrade.toshiba.com/swupdate/eula.aspx?region=TAIS&lang=en&country=US Gave the same result - files are infected.No clues in the wild - and avast mentiones nothing So - I got a pc without connectivity - in 2015 its like a car without motor and wheels

Updating the drivers does seem like the best action. Try disabling your antivirus.

How to bring the max value add 1 in creation mode

I have ADF form and when I press on create Button I want on one of the field to bring the maximum number +1, I don't want to use DBSequance because the user should decide if he want the default number or enter new one, also I need if the user enter number already exist the system shows him warning message and make him to write new one.

What would you recommend then in the following scenario? I need to find a way to insert records into a child table that has a FK relationship with its parent table and a sequence number that increments for each additional record associated with the parent.
For instance, I have a claim with mulitple lines

Excel data source and the use of add command

HI, Looking for suggestions on how to work with multiple inputs that cannot be joined directly. Here's the background.
The Report currently reads in two different Ecel files and uses 3 SQL commands to query an Oracle Database. I need to join the 5 data sources and am having issues with the 2 excel files. In one file I need to be able to derive a field based on another column in the file In order to create the join condition to the SQL commands. I'd equate this to a case statement in SQL, but how goes one do that using the 'add command' feature? What is the syntax?
Next I would need to join (left outer) the two excel files using two fields from file A (a1, a2) and 3 fields from file B (b1,b2,b3), where a1=b1 and b2 <= a2 <= b3 when rows from A exist in B. If row A does not exist in B then we still want it in the report and available to left outer join to the 3 oractab data sources.
runtime is also a concern.
Any Suggestions?

hi Elena,
in this case the use of subreports is not recommended. that's because you're exporting to excel and you need data in columns across the report. subreports will not, unfortunately, give you what you need.
this would bring you back to joining the datasources. what i would recommend is looking into using 'oracle database link' to link your oracle db to excel files. here's one article as an example but you may be able to find a better one. if you have questions on this please ask them on an oracle forum as the syntax that you need will be database specific.
a lot of databases have this type of technology which allows you to create a view to other data. sql server has 'linked servers', sap hana has 'smart data access'. essentially you are creating a non-materialized view to the external data. then this view is available on the main oracle server where you established this connection. this should be a lot easier than trying to bring a bunch of command objects together off independent datasources inside of crystal.

Portege M400 - How to install Toshiba Utilities for Windows 7?

I've upgraded my Portege M400 to Winows 7 (32bit) which went fine. However, cant find how to get and install the utilities I had included with the XP Tablet version.
Can anyone suggest how to get them (I understand they were available for Vista)?

The Toshiba Utilities that you mean are only designed for Windows XP. On Windows Vista and Windows 7 you need only the Toshiba Value Added Package. This package contains all what you need.
Portege M400 doesnt support Windows 7 but you can try to install the Vista drivers. The most of them are also work on Windows 7.
As far as I know you also need Toshiba Button Support on this model.

Measure values add up if Month filter is added to the Vertical Table

I posted a question yesterday but did not get any suggestions and did a work around to achieve what I wanted.

Now another problem started. If I filter the data on Month, the measure values add up don't know what am I doing wrong.
Even If I use folloowing formula it is not working:-

if the values have been changed by the user community, I am not sure if there is a way to find out. However if there is technical flaw in data processing, you can check for the steps as posted in the above post.
We faced a similar issue in our project. We were not able to trace the user ids under which the values were changed. However since we retain the 15 days of back up, we were able to check that the values were changed on a certain date but not the user ids. but we were still able to restore the original values.
As an additional step, we also developed macros to store (in the form of alerts) the exisitng value and the updated value incase the there was a manual change in the Sales forecast and other editable key figures. This ensured that there was a check if there was a manul change. we also ensured that these macros were not executed during the background jobs.
SAP also provides a standard SAP APO Change Monitor add-on which can be used to track chnages to the key figures. Please refer to note 1308968 for further information on the add on.

This isn't really a troubleshooting question, but a cpu question, there is no forum for direct cpu questions.
I am the proud owner of a Portege M400 Convertible
The Specs
4gb RAM
Intel C2D T-7200
The standard gizmos - wifi - ethernet, yada yada
750gb SSHD Seagate Momentus XT
My question is, can i take the CPU beyong T7600, to the P-Series mobile chips? I was reading the only difference was the FSB, so can i take the comp beyond 2.33 using the P-Series? Now before i get flamed for asking about this, i do have experience dismantling and repairing / upgrading laptops and convertibles. I also read the P-Series use less power, which is the real reason i want to upgrade to it if i can, i already get approx 7.5 hours out of the dual system, and would like to extend that if i can.

No, the T7200 is socket M, and the P-series are socket P. The best CPU that will work in your system is the T7600. Besides, the 945GM chipset in your system can handle a max of 667Mhz FSB for the CPU. Anything higher and the computer would not turn on(but there are no socket M CPU's with higher than 667Mhz FSB anyway).
