Portege R200 bluetooth connection to Jabra BT500 headset

Laptop cannot see my Jabra headset when searcing for devices. Any ideas?

Thank you - they van see each other now. I was not aware of this "pairing/discovery mode". On my Jabra BT500 it looks like two nested "c"s and it will bring the blue led on for some time. So now I can use the mic on the headset - the sound still goes through teh speaker on the PC but I will play around and see if I can fix that somehow. Thanks again for your help.

  • Bluetooth connection to Jabra

I recently purchased a Jabra HSF 004 hands free device. I was able to connect to my iphone 4 and use it for hands-free calling. Yesterday the phone would not connect. Eventually I pressed "forget this device" and now my phone doesn't recognize the device.  Is there a way to restore the original setting so the phone will recognize the device when in bluetooth search mode?

  • Bluetooth connectibility for hands-free headset

With the introduction of iOS 4.3, is it possible to connect a bluetooth headset with either the iPad1 or iPad2?

The following page that list the BT profiles has not been revised. The Users Guide for iOS 4.3/iPad 2 reference that article. However, you can now tether an iPad (w/iOS 4.3) to a iPhone to get an internet connection (if you have the tethering plan for the phone) and that is not discussed in the article.
    BT article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647
    Tethering:

Some users have reported that they have gotten a BT headset to pair with an iPad. Most headsets use the Hands Free Profile which the iPad does not support. You need one with the A2DP profile.

  • Ipod touch bluetooth and jabra jx10 headset

I have been trying all evening to pair my ipod touch by bluetooth with my jabra jx10 headset. Searches forever but sees nothing.
Wondering if anyone knows whether these items are not compatible? My blackberry phone sees the jabra immediately.
Any suggestions will be very welcome.
    Thanks,
    Mike

The Touch does not have the requisite BT profile for a headset (the kind with a mic that you would use with a cell phone). It will support stereo headphones, stereo speakers and, I believe, some keyboards. Sorry.
    Hi there,
is this still fact with iOS 4.1? I'm just on the way to order a BT-Headset with mic for my son's 2G touch and Mac mini (gaming and Skype).

  • Anyone have luck using Jabra BT500 Bluetooth headset with iChat?

I have narrowed down my Bluetooth headset search to Jabra's BT500, and am curoius if any of you have successfuly used it with iChat.

    Hi All,
I bought a Jabra BT500 today here in Hong Kong as I use Skype to connect to colleauges and family back in the UK.
The device connected perfectly to my Nokia phone (although volume is a bit low even at highest setting).
Then I tried to connect to my Powerbook G4 using the Bluetooth set up.
All went okay until it asked for a passcode which the documentation in the Jabra box said was "0000" - at this point the set up programme rejected the device.
I then tried "other devices" from the set up menu - this did not require a passcode but still rejected the device.
Next stop Google and the Apple pages here.
Seems the problem is not uncommon and there are upteen people with the same problem.
But on reading the solution here of connecting by using iChat preference - I thought I would give it a go.
Same Bluetooth set up came up in iChat Preferences but hey presto! - this time it accepted the pass code and I am good to go.
Quick change of sound output setting in System Prerferences and I can even listed to iTunes (although only in one ear!) I can even use it in the "Voice Notes" feature of Microsoft Word.
So thanks for the solution - the frustration of the past 3 hours was getting me mad!
    Cheers Norman

    I have a portege M200 (M725) with a bluetooth adapter.
I am trying to connect my Qware bluetooth headset. It is recognized, but it doesn't connect. A message as "could not connect device".
Could it be possible that the standard Bluetooth adapter doesn't support headsets?
    please help me our.

    Hi,
1.) it could be that your Bluetooth headset Version differ to the Bluetooth Notebook Version ( Version 1.1 ).
2.) check at the manufacturer if problems exists with the ToshibaBluetooh Stack & Drivers.

  • N95: Lousy Bluetooth connection to headset when ba...

    Hi all,
I have a small problem (but very annoying one)
When my phone (N95) battery is low (50% or lower)
The Bluetooth connection become very lousy, and it's almost impossible to use
the Bluetooth headsets because I am getting a lot of background noises.
When I am plugging the phone back to the charger the noises disappear.
Any idea how to solve this issue?

Uhm, that seems the only problem. If battery fully charged, then it works, if it goes down, then it doesnt work. The battery is the only constant changing aspect of the phone. In all seriousness the battery could be going dead for all we know as it is starting to give out lower output when charge goes down.
Best thing you can do is to try another battery.

  • N73 and multiple active bluetooth connections

Hi couldn't find anything specific on this in the posts. N73 user manual (p82) says several bluetooth connections can be active at one time. I believe this is called a piconet. However, I can't connect to Jabra BT 205 headset and TomTom 500 simultaneously. Phone says disconnect from the other device if I want to proceed. Really need to get traffic info from TomTom whilst staying legal on the road with my bluetooth headset. All help much appreciated!

N73 is BT 2.0 + EDR, my 5500 is also sporting the same BT version, i found out that i can connect with my BT headset (also 2.0) and my e61 (BT v 1.2) simultaneously, however with my BT dongle (BT v. 1.1) i am having problem...
Thanks for the quick reply. Looks like I need to get a BT 2.0 headset. Jabra BT 205 seems to be 1.1
well, the thing is that is my experience and it might be different with you, it is not necessarily be the correct way, i suggest you try some BT 2.0 headsets 1st to see how it goes...

Thanks for your response. I did update the router's firm ware. I have limited the internet access to my home's router by our computer's MAC addresses. That worked, until I tried to encrypt. After I encrypted, the Safari connection was lost and I have yet to figure out how to get the connection back, preferably encrypted. Thanks.

  • E71 bluetooth connectivity

I can't find the "paired Devices" tab under
    connectivity>bluetooth

I agree that the advice from cjlim should work; deleting and re-pairing the device should clear up the problem.
But. . . in my E71, it's not. I mean, twice a day, I have to delete and re-pair my Jabra BT8040 headset. So, sadly, I need to add myself to the list of folks who are looking for a solution to this problem.
The Jabra is pairing just fine. However, I'll either disconnect (shut off) the Jabra, or I'll both disconnect the Jabra and shut off bluetooth, on the E71 (power-savings, by pressing Shift-*). Later, I turn the phone back on, or turn on bluetooth, or bluetooth is already on and I turn on the Jabra headset. The E71 sometimes responds that the headset is connected or it will display the correct indicators, on the Home screen (Bluetooth logo, contained within parenthesis, plus the little headphone logo). However, the headset doesn't actually work - I cannot hear calls and callers cannot hear me, via the headset.
Sometimes, when I shut off the Jabra BT8040 headset, the indicators on the Home screen remain unchanged. The phone basically doesn't recognize that the headset is not even powered up, any longer. If I then go to manually disconnect the headset from the phone, the E71 actually hangs for awhile - becomes completely unresponsive. Sometimes it comes back and, more than once, I've given up and had to resort to opening the back and disconnecting the battery.
For those who want the details, mine is an E71-2, firmware 200.21.118.

  • Bluetooth Pairing w/ Jabra Halo

I successfully paired my Jabra Halo headset with my iPad a few days ago. It worked wonderfully well for several days. Then I paired my headset with my MacBookPro just fine. I went to pair the headset back with my iPad, and now it won't pair with it. I have unpaired and turned off the Bluetooth on my MacBook and still my iPad will see but not connect to my headset. I have also turned the Bluetooth on the iPad on and off, as well as the headset. It doesn't matter what I do, when I turn Bluetooth back on for the iPad, it will see the headset, but the Wheel of Death just spins and spins and it never pairs. It doesn't even give me the option of putting the pairing code back in on the iPad. What do I do to re-pair the headset with my iPad??
    Message was edited by: Loquos

It won't let me remove the headset from the Bluetooth menu. The button "forget this device" is grayed out. When I turn Bluetooth off and back on again, it still lists the headset and still displays the Wheel of Death and still has the button grayed out. I cannot for the life of me figure out what else to do. I have never before had such a problem with an Apple product, and I've been a loyal user for over 15 years. Maybe I am missing an update for my iPad? Is there anyway to 'reset' the device?

  • Samsung Convoy 3 bluetooth connection problem

I am having connection issues with my Samsung Convoy 3 phone and Jabra Drive bluetooth.  Initially the phone and device paired and connected great.  I could leave the car and reconnect to the bluetooth with out an issue.  Recently though, I have turned on the phone bluetooth then the Jabra Drive and they do not connect.  I finally get them to connect after playing with different combinations of connecting on the phone and turning off and on the Jabra Drive.  Although, it is not consistent on what combinations work.  I have had to turn off the Convoy 3 and turn it back on if there was still a connection failure.  Today, I had to turn the phone off and back on after the bluetooth functions were totally unavailable on the Convoy 3.  Are other people having bluetooth connection issues with the Samsung Convoy 3?  Is there a solution to this issue?

I have had the unit for just over 2 months and started having the issue about a month ago.  Also, there is something new whick occured.  When in the bluetooth menu on the phone trying to reconnect, the phone froze and rebooted (turned off and back on) by itsself.  I have not tried the phone with a bluetooth headset since I do not currently have one - I would only use one in my car so I opted for an in car unit.  My father has the same phone with the Jabra Drive unit and is experiencing the same problem.  Other people I know are using the Jabra Drive and do not seem to be having this same issue with their phone and bluetooth unit.  In the mean time, I will try to locate a bluetooth headset and see what happens.
