Portege R600-U10 - Wireless Manager V6 error

Hi all,
I was using the Wireless manager V5 and was having problems every time the computer went into Hibernation. I had to restart the computer every time Wireless connection was on. It would not reconnect.
Someone told me that this problem was solved with V6 so I downloaded the latest version and installed it.
I get the following error and cannor run it anymore.
Wireless Manager has encountered an error and will be closed... etc...
Do I have an option or I have to get back to V5 and continue with the hibernation problem?

Hello
What operating system you have and where have you downloaded the new wireless manager software?
Have you removed the old version before you installed the new one?
I would recommend a clean installation So remove all wireless manager software that you have and restart your notebook. Then run CCleaner which is a freeware tool for cleaning the registry and restart again. Now install the newest version of Wireless Manager.
Does it work now?

  • Re: Disabled wireless connection on Win 7 - Portege R600

I have installed Windows 7 (clean installation) on notebook Toshiba Portege R600 and the built in 3G modem doesn't work.
When I start Toshiba Wireless Manager it writes "Radio is turned off. To acitvate, turn on notebook switch.".
I am sure that this switch is on, but switching of wireless connections using Fn+F8 doesn't work so maybe it is off but I cannot enable it. I have installed all updated drivers like: Wireless manager, Wlan driver,
    BT Stack, etc.
    Does anyone have any idea?

I want to enable 3G modem. As I understand the HW switch is to enable all wireless equipments, ie 3G, Wifi, bluetooth. And then Fn+F8 enables or disables each of it. But Fn+F8 does not provide any function. And as I realized, bluetooth don't work as well. I suppose that currently wifi is enabled and 3G and bluetooth disabled, but the Fn+F8 doesn't work to enable it.

  • Portege R600 Built-in HDD Error

My Portege R600 has been working fine until today when it came up with the message "Built-in HDD error" when I switched it on. It then lists the following:
    Intel(R) Boot Agent GE v1.3.24
    PXE-E61: Media test failure,check cable
    PXE-MOF:Exiting Intel Boot Agent.
    Insert system disk in drive.
    Press any key when ready...
I am travelling in South America and do not have access to the system disks.
Can anyone help with this problem ?

It looks like your hdd isn't recognized by bios. The possible reasons:
1 Hdd is dead (should be replaced)
2 the controller on the motherboard is dead (the whole mobo should be replaced)
    3. In bios, lan boot set is the 1st boot device(Go to the Bios F2 on startup and check in Boot priority option)

  • Portege R600 (PPR61E) - How to disable WLAN in BIOS?

    Hi,
I have a Toshiba Portege R600, model number PPR61E with BIOS version 1.50. I want to be able to disable Wireless in the BIOS. This should be possible because the option exists on page 2 of the Bios screen under 'PCI LAN'. It is greyed out, however. I have tried enabling and disabling various options to try and get it to appear and the wireless switch is also enabled. It definately has a Wireless card in the Laptop because I can see wireless networks in windows.
I've also downloaded the latest BIOS from the Toshiba Website, version 1.80 but this does not work. It comes up with the error message, not compatible with this model of PC. I selected the correct model of machine and logged in with an account with local admin rights and ran the update from the machine.
Has anyone else had this problem? Help would be appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Martin Milner

The Wlan cannot be disabled in BIOS!
If you want you can disable the WLan card in device manager but not in the BIOS.
Furthermore youve got a Wlan switch at the notebooks side there you can enable and disable the WLan functionality!

  • Latest Toshiba 3G drivers & Wireless Manager don't work in Windows 7?

    Hi all,
I've installed, uninstalled, and re-installed the latest Toshiba 3G drivers and Toshiba Wireless Manager software for my NB200-123 netbook, and they don't appear to work in Windows 7.
When I start the Toshiba Wireless Manager software now (version 6.3.1.101), it starts for a split second, then Windows 7 immediately pops up a dialog box saying:
    "Wireless Manager has stopped working"
(I used to have the older XP drivers partly working, though they had the problem that if you hibernated the netbook, the next time you opened the Toshiba Wireless Manager software, it would freeze at the point where it said, "opening driver", and it would never come back)
I've currently got the following versions:
Toshiba F3507g Mobile Broadband Device - (from Toshiba) version 4.54.7103.1, dated 26/6/2009
Toshiba F3507g Mobile Broadband Network Adapter - (from Ericsson) version 1.0.0.52, dated 29/7/2009
Has anyone else managed to get this working on their NB200-123 with Windows 7? I'm wondering if I have a bad driver version somewhere?
I can't imagine that Toshiba would have rolled this out without testing it, so I must have something misconfigured somewhere.
    Best
    Rob

Ok, this does appear to be related to some kind of failed access to a .NET library. Whenever I try to launch any of the Toshiba applications, it fails immediately, and I get the following Application Event error in the event log. Note that the reference is to CLR20r3, which has to do with .NET I understand. mscorlib, referenced below, is definitely a .NET library.
Now, I know that this is supposed to be running on .NET 3.5 sp1, but I'm on Windows 7, and that includes .NET 3.5 sp1, and furthermore I've run tests on the OS to determine the .NET version(s) installed, and I've definitely got .NET 3.5 sp1 installed. So why am I getting this error?

  • Wireless Manager crashes on G10

I have a Qosmoi G10 and a Panasonic projector with a wireless connection. Last time I tried, I simply fired up the proejector, then the laptop, then ran Wireless Manager.
Tonight, Wireless Manager simply crashes, offering only to send an error report to Microsoft. Network connections says that a connection 11mps has been made with Panasonic Display one "aquiring network address". But this never seems to be aquired.
I was going to reinstall Wireless Manager but can't find it.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    Hi Jim
I dont know exactly which program you would like to remove but all software programs which are installed on your unit you can find in Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs
If you want re-install or update the wireless driver you can download this from the Toshiba website or you can find one on the Tools & Utilities CD.
    Best regards

  • Portege R600-11B - Cannot install Adobe Acrobat 9 - ActiveX issue

I have recently purchased a Portege R600-11B and have been trying to install Adobe Acrobat 9 on it by downloading from the Adobe site.
I have spent several unsuccessful hours talking to Adobe to try and resolve this issue.
They have concluded that my laptop is not compatible with the software.
This is not the case as this laptop exceed the systems specification required in all aspects.
The problem appears to be that it will not run ActiveX even after all firewalls and virus software in disabled - I don't really know what to do - does anyone have any suggestions please?

    >They have concluded that my laptop is not compatible with the software.
    Thats simply nonsense
The Adobe Acrobat Reader is a small application and can be installed on nearly all computers and systems So thats definitely not a reason why you are not able to install this software.
If this issue is related to the ActiveX then you could change this in your internet browser settings.
For example using the IE7 you could change this here:
Tools->Internet Options->Zones->{zone}->ActiveX controls and plug-ins->Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt
You could also try to clean the OS and the registry because the issue could be related to the faulty registry entries.
For this I would recommend using the CCleaner free tool.
Last but not least its always advisable to check the support homepage of the software manufacturers. Here you can find some docs about installation issues with the Adobe Acrobat Reader.

    Check it out!

Hello Mrmcmorris.  I understand you're wondering how to get the latest drivers for your notebook.
The easiest way to get the latest drivers is to ensure that you have both the HP Software Framework and HP Support Assistant installed.  Then you can run HP Support Assistant.  It will scan your system and check HP's database for any updates to your drivers and HP-software.

Are you trying to open the setup page of the router...?
if you are trying to open the router setup page then, use the password "admin" in lower case.Do not type anything in the username...If that does not work then, reset the router for 30 seconds and try again ...
