Portege R700 stops charging at 90% and remain at this level

The charging stop at 90% at remain at this level.
The laptop is new, but Battery Bar software indicates a wear level of 8.5%.
How can I solve the problem?

Can you charge the battery complete while notebook is turned off? If the battery is fully charged the battery icon should change the color from orange to green.
Can you check this please?

Export the photos to a desktop folder, right click on the folder and burn to disk - see if that is any different

Power adapters do get warm, and if confined, get hot.

It’s important to keep iPhone and its power adapter in a well-ventilated area when using or charging them. (note this probably applies to any power adapter from any company)

Portege R705-P35 - Screen/Lid Flexes and bends - Is this normal?

My screen/lid of the laptop bends when light pressure is applied to it. I was curious if this was normal amongst the portege 705s. Thanks.

Ideapad S400 battery charge until 60% and stop charging, on Linux

Got the same issue that windows users had but, I can solve the same way cuz I did Install Linux on my s400, is there anything that can do under linux?

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I’m sorry to hear that your S400 Laptop is charging only upto 60%, this issue in windows will get resolved by install the LEM (Lenovo Energy Management) and by choosing the (Optimized Battery Health), the Battery charges only to 60% and stops charging the battery and then it take its power from the charger, so if you want to charge the battery to 100%, you need to choose (Maximum Battery Life).
Do post us back if the issue still persists.

Did you already try to set it up "as new device" How to back up your data and set up as a new device
If this does not work, try again, this time without using the latest backup, in case it contains corrupt data, causing your problems.

I usually change the battery settings in EM to "optimized Battery Health" once 60% is achieved and not charging I swtich it back to "Maximum Battery Life".

Can I use my iPad charger to charge my iPhone and vice versa?? Will it cause any damage?

I have an iPhone 4S and iPad 2 and have been swapping the chargers about when charging. Now a friend tells me that this isn't good and I should use the specific charger for each. Firstly, is this right??
Secondly, I now no longer know which charger belongs to which product. Does anyone know the voltage for each?? (I live in the UK, not sure if this would make a difference).
Thirdly, I also have a MacBook Pro. Can I charge my iPhone and iPad from this without causing damage?

iPad charger: 10 or 12W (Apple uses Watts)
iPhone charger: 5W
The iPad charger looks larger than the iPhone one. Additionally, the iPad charger can be used with an extension cable, unlike the iPhone charger. You should notice that the iPad charger has a detachable plug.
It is more than safe to use an iPhone with an iPad charger. I don't recommend the other way around (using an iPad w/iPhone charger) but the iPad 2 doesn't syphon power like the iPad 3/4 do.

Batteries do have a finite life span.
That said there have been some users reporting battery issues but but there's no way to know what or why or how it happens.
You can try a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. Let it reboot and see if that helps.
If you have spares, you can try to swap out your charger and cable, just to see if there's any difference with them changed.
Another thing you can try is a restore. That's basically where you back it up and then restore it from a backup. (something to do a bit more research into if you plan to do it).
if you don't want to do that then you can make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out.

If your iPhone is not powering on, then check out the article below to see if you can get it to power back on. You will want to start at step 3 to try and reset it by holding the Sleep/Wake button and Home button for about 10 seconds and see if the Apple Logo comes up.

A restore does. If you are using the iphone as designed, then everything should be on your computer.

My ipad 3 stopped charging, not the adapter and reboot doesn't do anything. I've tried all the tricks and different adapters and now my nearest Apple store is saying it just doesn't work and it'll be $300 to replace. Only had it 1 yr and half.

My ipad 3 suddenly stopped charging last week. I've tried different adapters, to no avail. I didn't drop it or spill anything on it. I don't have tons of apps, so plenty of memory. I've always heard that Apple was so good to it's customers, but my iphone has been a nightmare, and now my ipad won't charge. Also, I've tried the reset options I've read about and none worked. Sorry, just really upset. I thought I was paying all this money for better quality and now I feel foolish for having done so. Anybody with any ideas I, or the genius at Apple haven't thought of? Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
