Portege Z930-12J - WiDi update to version 3.5 and higher

Hi, I have to update WiDi at my computer to 3.5 or higher because it is needed for establishing connection with the smart TV. It requires to update also the graphics driver but none of these drivers are available via TEMPRO.
When I try to install it directly from the Intel support site it says that the graphics driver was not authorised by Toshiba. Thanx for any suggestion! (But I would rather avoid upgrading of my Win to 8.1 and using Miracast.)

As far as I know you can install the Intel graphic card driver through the device manager.
You have to download the Intel driver page (zip) including the single driver files.
Then you have to perform the update using the Advanced installation procedure which will allow you to point directly to the zip package.
The system would pick up the driver files from this folder automatically.

  • Hi, I updated my version of iTunes and now get the error "The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer".

Hi, I hope some one can help as I updated my version of iTunes and now get the error "The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer". I understand that I need to delete and reinstall iTunes but all of my music has been uploaded from CD's and I'd like to know if these are safe if I delete iTunes of if they too will be deleted. I have over 1300 songs so this is a big question for me.  Many thanks.

Under normal circumstances, an uninstall/reinstall doesn't touch your content. (That being said, it's still always a good idea to maintain a current backup at all times in case of disasters of any sort.)
First try updating to iTunes 11.1.5.5, using an installer downloaded from the Apple website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you still get the errors after that, try the following user tip:

    Hi Dmitry,
Yes, I had this problem but I was able to resolve this problem with the following steps. Hope this helps.
Before performing the below step, the important Mashup Service ID should created first and linked to avoid this error.
In order to do that, go to Administrator (Hover on the menu) - Business Flexibility --> Mashup Web Services then
--> Create a service ID for Facebook or Twitter. With this step you have successfully created a service provider id.
Then go through the following step and I presume, this is where you are getting the error.
Go to --> Administrator (Hover on the menu) --> Service and Social Media --> Click on Social Media Channels
Create a new media channel and
I hope this will resolve your problem. If yes, please provide the points. Thanks
    Rgds,

  • After updating to Version 29.0.1, high contrast no longer works.

I use Windows 7's High Contrast frequently (it is much easier on my eyes). After Firefox updated to Version 29.0.1, the browser no longer displayed web pages in high contrast (white text on black background). Is there a way to fix this? (I am now back to using Version 28, which works correctly)

Firefox 28 exposes your system to security vulnerabilities.

You can override website colors under Options → Content → Colors.

I don't recommend it though. That also hides background images, which some sites use to display information that's essential to navigation. There are two methods that are preferable to the above:
    <u>'''Method 1'''</u>
    # Install the NoSquint add-on.
    # Open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A; Mac: Command+Shift+A), then the Extensions category.
    # Next to the NoSquint entry, click the Options button.
    # Click the Colors tab. Check whatever options you're interested and set the colors, but make sure "Disable background images" remains unchecked.
    <u>'''Method 2'''</u>
    # Install Stylish and restart Firefox when prompted.
    # Click the ≡ Menu Button and choose Add-ons.
    # In the Add-ons Manager, click User Styles on the left.
    # Click the Write New Style button at the top. Paste the either of the following styles in the text box, give the style a name, then click the Save button.
#* You can then toggle the style on or off by clicking the Stylish icon on the toolbar.

  • I cannot open my mail. I updated Java and I updated my version of Firefox and it still doesn't open.

You suggested that I update Java which I did and I also installed a new version of Firefox and it still won't allow me to open my mail.

Which version of iOS is currently installed.
Which model of iPod do you have?
Is there a Model No. etched in to the back casing, if so, what is it?
Where and how are you getting this update. Does iTunes prompt you and tell you there is a new version?

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

  • I just updated to version 5.0 and my capacity "Other" category is suddenly 11 GB. Why?

My iPhone suddenly jumped from very little "Other" capacity to 11 GB after I updated to version 5.0. Now I am 7 GB over capacity when I previously had plenty of space left. I've been reading complaints on other message boards but none of them offer a solution. Apple needs to address this issue and give me my capacity back!

Who doesn;t offer a solution?  This is not uncommon and the solution is posted regularly.

    You need to restore.

  • Internet Explorer 9 and any Flash version 11.4 and higher does not function

    Hello,
I am the network admin for a small business of about 300 user and computers.  Recently after the release of Flash 11.4 and above I have noticed that any user on my domain has had issues with Flash unless they are a local or domain administrator.  Any user with limited rights has issues.  Example, if Flash is on 11.3 or lower the users experience no issues with IE9.  If I upgrade them to version 11.4-11.6, whenever IE9 is opened the browser never completes it's task of going to the default web page (Normally MSN).  I can sometimes get them to Google, but any page that uses Flash never completes.  If I uninstall Flash 11.4 or higher or install the older 11.3 version functionality returns and everythign runs as expected.
I have spent a few days trying to mess with ActiveX filtering but have not had any luck with it, at least not with any domain users.  Has anyone got a solution for this issue?

You have Flash Player 11.1 and Flash Player 11.2 installed.
Delete all flash files in your Downloads folder.
    Download the following uninstallers:
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash _player_32bit.exe
Download the Flash Player 11.2 preview uninstaller for Windows 32-bit
Here are the installers for Flash Player 11.1 and Flash Player 11.2,  CHOOSE ONE to download.
11.1   Flash Player for Internet Explorer
11.2   Download active-x for Windows 32-bit – for Internet Explorer only
    Exit browser.
Run both uninstallers, reboot, delete Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash, then install the chosen Flash Player.

  • I have the MacBook white and there hasn't been any updates in a while. I need to update to version 10.5 and im still on 10.4.11. Can anyone tell me what to do?

I have a MacBook white and there hasn't been an update for the Mac OS X (10.5). I'm still running on version 10.4.11. can someone tell me why I haven't gotten the update?

Because you must purchase major upgrades. I advise skipping Leopard and going directly to Snow Leopard:
Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard — Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service — this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion — System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) —
                 Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table — RoaringApps.

  • When I updated the adobe flash player and went to facebook I'm not able to play any of the apps, one says I need to update my version of adobe and it has been updated, now I'm not able to open any of the games on facebook!

After I downloaded Firefox, I attempted to update the top four plugins, I already have adobe flash player, but I went on ahead and downloaded it again with the other three, java and two others. I then restarted my computer, and when I logged back on to face book Farmville would not load a message said if it don't load in ten seconds I would need to update the adobe flasher which is in my add and delete box. The same with Cafe world, it will not load as well! My google search is missing as well! I have no problems logging on to Face book, but I can't go to any of the applications that I normally play with now! I did updated the top four plugins as was suggested and now I'm having problems!

  • Since I updated to the new OS7, none of my devices will sync to Itunes...iTunes states I need to update to version 11.1 and yet I am totally up to date to IO7.02 on all these devices (iPad, iPadMini, iPhone5).  What is the solution to this?

As noted in my question, I have multiple portable apple devices, all of which are upgraded to iOS7.02.  When I try to sync them to iTunes, I get a message stating I need to update them to iTunes 11.1.  This process is another frustrating, non-intuitive process by Apple.  Please help.

That message is telling you to update iTunes on your computer, not your phone. You need iTunes 11.1 on your computer in order to sync your devices.
