Portege Z935-ST2n03 Won't Charge/Turn on

So I got the Portege z935 two weeks ago and it will not charge.  The yellow A/C power light is on and it will not charge or turn on.  When I plug it in nothing changes.  It has been a week since this has happened.  All that happens is the light blinks for 7 times and holds on the 7th and then blinks for an 8th time and then repeats.  Any help would be much appreciated.
Also I tried registering my laptop and it said it is already registered?  It doesn't let me register it and didn't register it before?  What can I do?

I believe Toshiba Direct will automatically register products.
It sounds like it may be hardware failure. You might want to try contacting customer support at (800) 457-7777. If they don't have a solution, they can set up a repair.

  • My iPhone 4 is completely dead and won't charge, turn on, no signs of life!

My iPhone 4 is completely dead and won't charge, turn on, no signs of life! What to do???

Was late to work because my alarm didn't go off on my iPhone this morning! (4 w/ IOS 5)  When I woke up, I went to check my phone and it wouldn't turn on; so I plugged it in to the charger and no response.  I left it plugged in while I was getting ready...came back a shortwhile later...still no signs of life.  At that point, I held both buttons for several seconds and the apple logo appeared and the lock screen displayed shortly thereafter.  And what's odd, is that it showed that I had about 80% of battery life left.  So it seems like something else caused it to shutdown completely.  One note though...I updated to IOS 5 on Sunday...and I've used my phone ever since with no problems.  So this is the first time this has happened since the update.
In looking at a thread on another site, I found this excerpt from an alleged beta tester back in June...and it was in reference to the iPad 2 with IOS 5, but seemed plausible enough to share here:
Issue:  "Hey guys, whenever my iPad 2 is locked for a while, it wont wake from sleep.  I have to give it a hard reset.  Is anyone else having this issue?"
Response:  "I think I isolated the issue....make sure banner notifications are turned off for mail app. If the screen is locked and you get a mail it freezes up causing you to reboot. hope it gets fixed in the next beta!"
Follow-up:  "Did it help you at all? I tried recreating every way I could think of with mail and never could. I'll turn of mail notifications for the rest of the night and see what happens."
"Hey Rick, yes it helped, my iPad no longer shuts off.  I turned off mail banner notifications like Defender2010 said, and at least for now, it doesn't turn off anymore."

  • IPod touch 5g won't charge/turn on?

I just got a brand new iPod touch 5g this month for my birthday. I've had it for a little over a week and it has been working perfectly. I went on a trip to Kansas City this weekend, and used my ipod during the ride up there. It drained the battery substantially, and it must have died. When I got home to charge it, I plugged it into my computer and waited for iTunes to recognize the device, but it won't. When I try to do anything on the iPod, this image appears:
and then it vanishes after a few seconds.
When I go to turn the iPod on, it won't. And now it won't charge and the above image is the only thing that appears when I try to do anything. I've tried plugging it in and waiting for periods of time, but that didn't work. I've tried restoring it, but whenever iTunes downloads "iTunes Software Update" I get an error message when it's finished downloading.
What is wrong with the iPod? Is the battery defective? Is there a way I can fix this at home or do I have to take it in to Apple? Or is there a simple solution to this that I'm missing?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Nokia 5530 XM won't charge/turn on

    Hello everyone!
I've been facing this problem with my phone for two weeks now and this is my last attempt to fix it before I buy a new phone (although I don't want a new one, I love my 5530 XM).
So, it won't charge. When I plug in the charger battery just gets warmer and warmer and nothing happens, I can't turn the phone on or do anything with it. First I thought it's up to charger, but how would it get warmer if the charger doesn't work? This is my second battery and what's interesting about it is that whenever it got empty (like totally empty) I had to take it out of the phone and wait for 5 mins and then it started charging, otherwise it wouldn't charge..
I wasn't at home and battery was empty (I saw like 10 alerts to plug in the charger, but I couldn't because I didn't bring the charger with me). When I finally got home, I plugged the charger in and it never started charging, not even now. I tried everything, removing SIM card, memory card, but nothing worked.
    Any solutions?

I would have probably tried charging battery in a desktop charger before trying in in device.

  • Iphone 5C won't charge, turn on OR go into recovery or DFU mode. What's happened?

My work phone (iPhone 5C) was working perfectly (never had a problem charging it or any other problem) last week until I let it run out of charge. When I charged it yesterday (left it on charge all night) it won't charge or turn on. It also won't reset (power button & home button) and it won't enter recovery mode or DFU mode. I know my charger is working as it chargers my partner's iPhone no problem.
It was working perfectly so I'm not sure what has happened that means it won't turn on. I have a complete black screen that doesn't change at all - no apple logo, no symbol to tell me it needs to be charged, nothing - just a black screen.
Can anyone help or explain what might have happened? Please! Thank you
Update - Also, obviously my computer does not recognise that anything is plugged in.

It would seem like a hardware failure
I would take it into an Apple store or authorized reseller for further trouble shooting

  • IPod Touch won't charge, turn on, or do anything.... HELP?

    Hi
    I have a 1st Gen iPod Touch
    the problem was
    it had 10% power left
so i charge it with an AC wall charger
    after about 2 mins
    the ipod shutdown immediately
    like without the circling thing
    then i unplug the ipod
plug it in my laptop (a PC, vista, with itunes)
    nothing happen
i tried holding the Sleep/Wake button & Home for 30 secs, Failed
i tried holding Sleep/Wake button to turn it on, but again failed
So i notice it has this weird respond
the wall charger has a little light, whenever it's plugged in, it green.
whenever it's charging something, it turns red
so even though i plug my itouch for hours, it still green
    and the weird thing is
after i unplugged the wall charger with the itouch still connected
the green light is still on
so i assumed the itouch gave out power
i'm a software guy but no electronic stuff guy
so i think somehow the circuit thingy in the battery has been switched from getting energy to giving out battery
is there anyway i can fix this?
the bad thing are it won't turn on, it won't charge
    contact me at [email protected]
if you have any problem reading this
because i think it's confusing at first

    It sounds like something fried.
If you're lucky you just need the battery replaced.
If it's still under warranty send it to Apple if it isn't then is there an iPod Doctor where you are ?
That battery replacement out of warranty was running around $75 when I last checked but if the charge is more you'll have to weigh what ever the repair cost is against buying a refurbished Touch.

  • HT1476 ipod won't charge, turn off

i pod touch wont' turn off, is frozen and won't charge  - how do you fix it?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Ipod won't charge, turn on, or connect to computer

It 's been doing that since plugging it into a defected outlet, where the wire started heating up, and sparks came out of the outlet. I've tried resetting it but nothing happened, and it is cracked a bit, but has never had any problems before. I know taking it to an apple store will help but I would rather see a solution I can do at home first because there's not a really close apple store near me.

  • IPod Touch 4th Gen. Won't Charge, Turn on, do anything?

I recently got a used ipod touch 4th generation 32 gb. I went to set it on my iHome to charge for a bit while I was in the shower and when I came back it wasn't charged at all. I thought maybe I didn't have it placed on it correctly, so I checked and it said it was on it. Strange, so I just tried a new outlet. It didn't charge. I tried a new cord and a new outlet. No charge. I tried my computer. No charge again. I tried my school's computer. No charge. I tried a memory charge bank. No charge. It finally died on me and I can't get it to charge for the life of me. It DID make the charging sound at me prior to it dieing on me, like it was being connected but it wasn't be charged. Someone please help?? It's not jailbroken as far as I know.

    Not Charge
    - See:
    iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting

    - Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • IPod Touch won't charge/turn on

As normal my iPod died during school today. I got home and plugged it into the computer but it wouldn't work, the computer and iTunes didn't say anything about the iPod being plugged in, and it wouldn't turn on at all. I waited for a while but noting happened so I used another USB cord, and that didn't work either. So I plugged it into a different USB port, and that didn't work either. So I plugged it into the wall to charge, and that didn't work. So then I tried to charge it from the wall with the other USB cord, and that wouldn't work either.
I don't understand, why has this happened? How do I fix it?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
When it says place the iPod in recovery mode use one of these programs

    If necessary:
    Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot

  • Phone won't charge/turn on

Hi, Recently, I've encountered a problem with my nearly 2 year old Xperia T in which the phone just turned off and wouldn't turn on. The last time I checked my phone, it was 25%, and then 5 minutes later, I checked it and it switched off and wouldn't turn on. At first, I thought it was a flat battery so I went to charge it but all I find was the red led light turning on and off every 5 seconds. At first, I thought this was a charging error so I connected it to my laptop and it connects for a second then disconnects and keeps disconnecting after that. So, then I thought it was my charger or cable, so I tried a different charger (different original Xperia T charger) but the problem persists. So, I went online and people said put a rubber band on the power button and charge it for 2 hours. Did that but the red led light does the same routine - turns on and off every 5 seconds - but then after 5-15 minutes in the red light disappears. I left it and thought that it was still charging but at the end it wouldn't turn on. I even tried the classic Up button and Power button trick and still no clue. My phone doesn't have modifications or any ROM stuff. I hope I've given you sufficient Information and hopefully a solution will turn up.  Please Help!

Thanks for the reply! I tried this and even though I removed SIM, connected it to wall charger and done the power and up volume button thing, the phone still kept showing a red LED light for 5 seconds then the red LED light disappears, then it the red LED light turns back on and the cycle continues. The phone doesn't turn on - no sony Logo or anything, just a black screen, but the red LED does some turning on loop. In my opinion, I think the phone is trying to charge but then it can't so it turns off, the it tries again to charge (Hence why the red LED keeps turning on and off).  However, I've noticed after keeping my phone on charge for a few hours that the red LED completely turns off and doesn't turn on again after about 15 minutes into the charging. It's as if it's given up charging or something. But then, when I reconnect it, the same red LED light loop occurs. Please help me fix this soon as I need it for my new workplace. Also, this phone has been used for nearly 2 years and is on contract (2 year contract in UK), so can I get it fixed for free since it wasn't me who broke it? Like it just turned off as if it was a hardware or software problem. Thanks!
