Portg Z10T-A140 - driver update: yes or no?

Hi ,
i have a Portg Z10T-A140
when i check toshiba service for update drivers , show do not need update .
but when i check windows update , show i must update " Intel corporate : graphic adapter WDDM1.1 , graphic adapter WDDM 1.2 "
now i must install windows update for intel or no ?
Thank you .

>when I check Toshiba service for update drivers, show do not need update.
The service station shows you only the driver updates available on Toshiba driver page.
In case you dont get any notifications about updates, this means that no new drivers area available.
The Microsoft updates are totally different and are related to your Window system.
If such updates are available you should install it.

    Hi ,

If my HDD clear and i need full new install winodws 8, where i can find my Windows 8.1 serial number ?
    Thank you .

    > Why result is different?
Your notebook is an Portege Z10T-A140 PT131V-00H005AR
Of course its Windows 8.1 upgradable and supported.
On the Windows 8.1 update supported models page you can find the Portege Z10T PT131V.
    > Other my question :
    >I can not my Windows 8 serial number and i can only view last 5 digit number .
    >If my HDD clear and i need full new install windows 8, where i can find my Windows 8.1 serial number ?
I recommend reading the user manual. There you can find info about Toshiba Recovery Media Creator.
The recovery media creator would allow you to create an Recovery disk. Such disk install the Toshiba image on the notebook again. The serial key is not necessary because the Windows 8 will be activated automatically using Toshiba image.

  • HELP Adobe flash drive update BUG?? Big Problem

I bought a 13 inch MacBook Air in August 2014.
OS X Maverick, Version 10.9.4. 4 GB memory, 256GB storage.
I have been using Safari to see lecture videos from Echo360, and they have been working well despite the slow internet of the country.
Just until two days ago, everything had been working fine, until a Adobe Flash Driver Update popped up on my screen.
At first I ignored it (b/c I usually dont care about using the latest versions; the lecture videos had been working perfectly)
but it kept popping up so I clicked update.
The next day, my mac kept losing connection to internet every 1-3 minutes, such as "resolving host" messages.
The videos kept crashing and I had to re open the page, refreshing wouldnt work. about 15 times for a 50 minute video.
I erased the Flash Driver.plugin from my internet plug-ins in the library, and the internet came back alive.
I was guessing the "updated" plugins were eating up my internet/browser...
So then I downloaded chrome so I wouldnt have to manually use adobe anymore,
and now, the videos keep freezing at random moments at about 5-10 minute intervals. Now that the internet is back alive, i just have to refresh the page, which still takes forever to load...fortunately the browsers dont crash anymore...
Right then, I completely disposed anything related to adobe flash drive. I still have Adobe pdf which works great.
But even after, it kept freezing...
Maybe I was thinking this is normal when watching videos on chrome b/c the plug ins are not manually stored in my mac?
If not, what is causing the freezing of the videos on google chrome? (i dont think my mac is losing internet connection anymore every second like yesterday)
Is there any way to fix it? Is it from yesterday's history of downloading the "update"?
I just want to be able to watch my lecture videos like I normally did the past two weeks, before I downloaded the "update"
and now I am afraid that downloading adobe might crash my internet/browsers again.
It took me several hours to come to erasing the "updated" plug ins as I am fairly a noob in computers.
I spent a lot of time and researched a lot up till 5AM in the morning just last night.
and I have exams coming up next week... I would really want this to be resolved.
Should I try downloading adobe from its actual website and see what happens?
If yes, which versions would you recommend?
Yesterday when I checked after the update, it stated the most current Adobe 15.
If this contains bugs for mavericks, I would rather do older versions.
I do not know which version I was using before the "update" when everything worked perfectly.
    Thanks for reading all this
I know I am all over the place; Im just very frustrated and desperate as not knowing what to do....
I just want my mac to work like before I clicked on the "update"
Any help will be greatly appreciated
    Thank you

You probably installed some kind of malware pretending to be a Flash update. That's very common.
    1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
Don't be put off merely by the seeming complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
    2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
    3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it changes nothing. It doesn't send or receive any data on the network. All it does is to generate a human-readable report on the state of the computer. That report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you prefer, you can read it yourself without disclosing the contents to me or anyone else.
You should be wondering whether you can believe me, and whether it's safe to run a program at the behest of a stranger. In general, no, it's not safe and I don't encourage it.
In this case, however, there are a couple of ways for you to decide whether the program is safe without having to trust me. First, you can read it. Unlike an application that you download and click to run, it's transparent, so anyone with the necessary skill can verify what it does.
You may not be able to understand the script yourself. But variations of the script have been posted on this website thousands of times over a period of years. The site is hosted by Apple, which does not allow it to be used to distribute harmful software. Any one of the millions of registered users could have read the script and raised the alarm if it was harmful. Then I would not be here now and you would not be reading this message.
Nevertheless, if you can't satisfy yourself that these instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
    4. Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
    5. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
    6. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
    7. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    8. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
    9. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
    exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
    10. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return  three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
    11. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
    [Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report what happened. No harm will be done.
    12. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
    13. When you post the results, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "You are not authorized to post." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
    14. This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak only for themselves, and I don't necessarily agree with them.

  • Sol 10 driver update issues!

    Hey All;
I'm trying to install Solaris 10 1/06 (x86) from DVD onto our HP ProLiant DL585--we have 4 scsi disks, and I've configured the basic raid 5 array in the controller interface.
The problem happens when I try the driver update that's required in order for solaris to see the controller and disks. When we get to the 'select and installation type' menu, I'm picking "5 Apply driver updates", then choosing the floppy w/ the DU image from HP. That seems to go fine, but after it's extracted the driver to the miniroot system, I choose e for end (or maybe f for finished) and it goes straight into the interactive setup--there isn't an option to pick the solaris interactive text.
The problem with that is, the install hangs, and the solaris install manager screen says "failed to start the java VM" etc etc. It openes and interactive shell window, where I can run format and confirm that the disks are recognized now, but I can't seem to get any further. There is a note on the HP driver readme that says to select option 4 (solaris interactive text (console session), but I seem unable to specify the install option after doing the driver update.
Anyone have any advice for me? It's driving me slightly nutty at this point.

Now if you want to continue installation with option 4 then, install the drivers, and continue with the installation.
Hit escape when you see the Proposed Window system configuration for installation screen.... to go to the Current or Proposed Window System Configuration screen. Select F3 in the Current or Proposed Window System Configuration and the install will proceed as a text install.

  • Jan 2014 Imaging driver update issues

I upgraded my ZCM Primary server from 11.2.2 to 11.2.4 over the weekend. Today I downloaded the Jan 2014 Imaging Driver update from the 11.2.4 patches page. I downloaded the zenworks11.2.4_MU1_Jan14 that said it was for 11.2.4 and 11.2.4 MU1. I followed the readme.txt file that says to run the imaging_driver_update.bat file. I ran this and I get:
"Applying wrong imagin driver updates........Exiting driver update."
Does anyone have any solutions to get this fixed up? If I go to %zenworks_home%\share\preboot\update and look at the ZUpdate.sig file it shows 112303 for the [zen_client_version] If I go into the ZCC management page and look under the primary server all of the version show correct as being 11.2.4.
Thanks for any information you can give. I also cannot PXE boot at this time as well. It gets through PXE fine and I choose "Start Zenworks Imaging Maintenance" from the Imaging menu screen and then it starts loading but then pops up "cannot connect to Zenworks repository" or something like that. I don't have it right in front of me now.
    Thanks for any help.

yes - read the screen when you go to the November Update you are redirected to the Monthly Update, sure - but at the top, with a bright yellow background are the words
"You have been automatically redirected to this patch because it supercedes the patch you originally requested. The patch you originally requested is still downloadable, click here to download it instead of this newer patch."
if you click on the link it takes you to the patch you want...

  • Does mountain lion comes with graphic, Does mountain lion comes with graphi, Does mountain lion comes with graphic driver updates?  I'm currently using snow leopard, and it seems that there's no graphic driver updates for a really long time.

    Need some advice

I'm currently using snow leopard, and it seems that there's no graphic driver updates for a really long time.
Snow Leopard is no longer being updated, 10.6.8, was the last update. So, a "really long time," will be forever.
Yes, ML has graphic driver updates, but since there is no way to guess whether it impacts your unmentioned hardware, there is no way your question can be answered.

  • Portege Z10T-A140 - different serial numbers - dock and tablet

    Hi,
    I purchased 2 piece Z10T-A140 .
Then i open package understand serial numbers on packages is different with serial number on the docks .
    Thank you .

As far as I know you have to take the serial number which is visible on the tablet border.
You will need to remove the tablet from the docking station in order to see this number.
To proof the registration procedure, you can visit the Toshiba unitdetails page:
    www.toshiba-tro.de/unitdetails?
But from my experience it will take some time to update this registration details

  • Printer driver updates

I'm in the process of downloading the 688 MB Epson Printer Drivers 2.3.1 file. I have only one Epson printer and really don't want or currently need drivers for the other 927 devices supported in this huge file. Since anyone downloading a large file such as this likely has an Internet connection, why can't Apple separate the drivers into separate files applicable to a single device, and keep track of the installed drivers via Software Update?

Yes, I could, and have in the past. However, wouldn't it be nice to have automatic updates via Apple's Software Update rather than having to check manufacturer's websites for driver updates? With printers from four manufacturers to take care of, it's inconvenient to check for driver updates from all their websites. On the other hand, perhaps it's not necessary to bother with updates if no problems are observed.

  • HP Laserjet 1200 and Driver Updates

On the "Download Drivers and Software" support page for the HP Laserjet 1200 printer, there is an option, "Automatically check to see if your driver needs updating".
A machine that I am supporting is having a MS Word collating issue (sometimes works, sometimes doesn't) and I don't know if its a driver issue or not.  The machine is XP SP3.
If I click on this link, obviously it will check the drivers, but:
    1) Will it give me the option to automatically update the drivers if it finds they are outdated, and
    2) How do I roll back to the old driver if the update introduces problems?
Since this potential driver update isn't going through the normal MS XP driver update routine in Device Manager, I'm leery that I won't be able to recover if something goes wrong.

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/
    I hope this helps.

  • NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT driver update?

How is this done? I can update it in my Boot Camp installation running WinXP but how do I update it under MacOS X? Is it included in the regular OS updates or do I have to do something else? I noticed the other day that there's an update for the 8- series ( which would be what I have if I'm not totally mistaken ) among others.

I don't believe there are any driver updates for OS X.

  • Not able to add driver update during Solaris 10 installation on IBM x3550

I am facing a problem with installation of Solaris 10 on IBM x3550.
My question is not specific to IBM server.
I am trying to add SAS driver during Solaris 10 installation. I selected option "Apply device driver update" (option # 4). It is asking to insert driver disk. But only showing floppy (f) and cdrom (c).
IBM server 3550 doesnt have floppy drive and I have the driver image only in a USB stick. Unfortunately, Solaris 10 installation is not showing usb device during driver installation.
Is there any way we can add usb device to the driver update disk list??
    Thanks in advance.

Does no one have an idea?

  • Blank screen after display driver update Satellite Pro P200

I installed the latest ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600 display driver (8.432, from the Toshiba site via Tempo) on my Satellite Pro P200 yesterday. On rebooting everything looks fine as far as the Windows Vista Business "Please wait ..." screen, but instead of displaying the login page I get a blank screen (with a mouse cursor that moves around as normal). All I can do at this point is power off, and I've run out of ideas on how to get any further.
    Things I've tried:
    # booting into safe mode, low-resolution video or last known good configuration all result in the same blank screen.
    # connecting to the system using remote desktop (to disable the driver) isn't possible because the system hasn't loaded the network drivers yet.
    # I can't revert to a restore point because Vista can't find any (I made a manual one after installing windows updates on a couple of days ago).
I can run a command prompt from the system recovery options and would prefer to use that to disable the driver +if+ I knew how before resorting to the more drastic options.
A web search (http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ati+catalyst+vista+blank+screen&hl=en&sa= N) reveals that this has happened on a wide range of laptops with
previous releases of the driver, but none of the links I've looked at give a solution that's available to me.

No joy with an external screen so I bit the bullet and reinstalled from the product recovery disk. I tried expert mode to retain the data partition but that failed twice, so I had to restore it from the previous day's backup after doing a full reinstall. Two consolations, though.
    # It allowed me to increase the size of the data partition.
    # The display driver update worked fine on the fresh install.
Needless to say I've since found [http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927525] which describes how you can disable a problem device driver (atikmdag in my case) from the system recovery command prompt :-(
Hopefully the instructions in there will help anybody who gets caught with similar problems.

  • Audigy 2 ZS, Driver update results in broken driver, no sound.

    > I recently bought a used Audigy 2 ZS which works fine with the drivers from the CD. I don't know how old they are, Creative System Informations says driver version .82.0. That's why i wanted to update them. I had a Li've! before, so i knew how to update the drivers with the auto updater on the creative site. By the way, i did a clean up of the old drivers with Driver Sweeper before installing the new sound card.
When i do a driver update with the auto updater on the Creative website it downloads and install the newer drivers, but after the mandatory reboot i have no sound, and every Tool crashes, throws an error message or just doesn't work. I lose all my EAX effects and can't select any speakers. The only way to solve that is to uninstall everything and do a clean start with the CD.
I can update everything via the auto updater, except the drivers.
Using Audigy 2 ZS and Windows XP SP3
    AMD Athlon XP 3200+
    2 GB DDR-400 RAM
    Geforce 6800GT 256MB

With XP I'm still using 2.8.000, they seem to work fine

  • RM 900 remote doesn't work after driver update

    Hi!
After solving the proble of? "crackle, pops and noise" with a driver update for Audigy Platinum Ex, I see that my remote is no longer working, i've try reinstalling Remote Center from original drivers and applications CD and after a Volume Up or Down the Rear Left Speaker gives me no sound.
I've seen in others threads in the forum and they say about installing Media Source, but after installing it still doesn't work.
Any clue how to make it work again?
Using Windows XP SP3 and Audigy Platinum Ex.
    Thank you again in advance.

    Hello Jashue67,
Sorry to hear about all the trouble with the Apple TV.  It sounds like you have done a restore but need to pair your Apple TV remote at this point.  You can follow these steps to pair the remote:
Or, you can press and hold the Menu and Next/Fast-forward buttons on the white Apple Remote, or hold the Menu and right buttons on the aluminum Apple Remote, for 6 seconds to pair.
You can find the full article here:
