Porting number before or after returning phone?

I am on an Edge plan and am interested in going back to my old carrier. I want to port my number but I'm not sure when I would do it. Do I return the phone then go to the other carrier and get everything started or do I go to the other carrier fist, get my number ported and everything set up and then return the phone immediately after that? Online it says Verizon will assume you are ending service once porting is complete so I'm curious when they consider a port to be complete so I'm not charged for a phone that's still in it's return period

I used to be with T-Mobile, but I don't remember if there was anywhere on the website where you could look for that information. If you have been with them more than two years and haven't extended your contract during that time by buying a new phone or switching to some special rate plan, you probably are not in a contract. However, if you're not sure, just call the customer service number and ask them if you're in a contract or if you're month-to-month.
Also, I thought I saw a story recently about T-Mobile users being allowed to leave their contracts without penalty because of some kind of fee dispute...if you're still in a contract, you might want to see if there's any validity to that story.
Addendum: Never mind. It looks like the story I saw "recently" was actually in May. Chances are this no longer applies.

Always make sure this is reset before leaving the store. But a simple call to customer service should get it fixed right away.

We have a hardware load balancer listening on port 80 and forwarding requests to weblogic 6.1 sp2 servers on port 8090. The web servers generate urls containing the port number (and ip address of the load balancer). The browser tries to acces the load balancer at port 8090 and fails. So, how can I tell weblogic not to put a port number in the url?

Generated WSDL will use the URL of the incoming
HTTP GET request (request to retrieve wsdl) to create:
service->port->location->address
attribute inside the WSDL.
This attribute is used by the client to send the SOAP
request.
So the HTTP GET request to retrieve the WSDL
should use the address of the load balancer (ie 80).
Then the generated WSDL will also have a url with
port 80.

I install PCMCIA 485/2 card.After installation(Plug&Play) I have ports number 5, 6.After restart of computer I have ports number 2, 5.

Interesting problem. You can actually set the port number in the registry. When you go into regedit go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Enum\MF\CHILD000X\PCMCIA&NATIONAL_INSTRUMENTS-PCMCIA-485/2-XXXXXX.
Simply edit the following keys to the desired serial port:
-DeviceDesc
-FRIENDLYNAME
-PORTNAME

Ported number not showing on iPhone 4S

So, I upgraded to iPhone 4s last week and had no problems.
My original number from Orange was ported across to 3 on Monday, however the 3 number is showing as my mobile number in my iphone settings and on itunes. Is there any way to change this to my actual ported number?
This issue is preventing me using iMessage and FaceTime as the number is incorrect, but on regular text messages and calls, my original number shows.
Please help!

This worked for me:-
Change it manually. Go into settings>phone>my number and then change it there.
1) Switched off Face Time (Setting -> FaceTime-> FaceTime OFF)
2) Switched off iMessage(Setting -> Messages->iMessage OFF)
3) Switched on iMessage (The phone started “Verifying”the incorrect phone number, failed and set it to the correct ported number (seeSettings -> Messages -> Receive At -> Phone).
4) At this point the “My Number” (Settings ->Phone -> My Number) had also updated.
5) Switched on Face(Same “Verifying” as with iMessage, but tooktwo attempts).
6) Power Cycled the ‘phone and re-synced to updateiTunes If necessary (Summary “Phone Number” field).

JavaWebServer2.0 Port Number

I installe JavaWebServer2.0 on a NT Server 4 machine, but it does not run, giving the error message: Port 9090 in use. I tried to stop all the services in Control Panel and try ...\bin>httpd, but the error is still there. Is there a way that I change the port number before getting to the administration part during runtime?

When you restore from an itunes backup it doesnt backup music or ring tones. resync from the computer that has the music. If you bought all the songs from iTunes, you can always redownload them but ringtones are a one-time download. Follow the article to redownload them. For the ringtones you can contact Apple to ask for a redownload of them

My phone won't make/receive calls after porting number over.

I bought and activated a prepaid phone. It worked fine until the number I was wanting to keep got ported in. Now it won't let me make or receive phone calls. I have been on the phone with them for an hour now and keep getting routed around..........I have removed the SIM card multiple times (per their instructions). Can anyone provide help with this?

I have been on the phone numerous times with customer service. The problem lies with the fact that our phone says Roaming when we make a call. It then wants us to add funds with a credit card. But we paid for the one-month unlimited talk/text plan. It has only been 7 days. We have been told different things with each phone call. 1)our phone is bad. 2) We need to go to Walmart or similar and buy a verizon sim card (This is a brand new Verizon prepaid phone, why do we have to buy a sim card?) 3) Take it to the local Verizon store (which, by the way, does not handle or even know what to do with prepaid phones). 4)We've been told we have no service here. (Texts seem to come through fine, as does the 4G. Also, there have been a few times it does not say roaming when I want to make a call, and it works just fine. This has happened twice in 4 days. We are unsure whether the ported number caused the problem, but we made 2 calls before that, and it went through fine for them, so we do have suspicion that the porting caused the problem. I would guess it has something to do with the cell tower not working with the ported number somehow.

Select the paragraphs where you want to change the spacing.
Format Panel > Text > Spacing
You can change 1.0 - Single to something else, or type a number in Before or After.

First, are you referring to packages or applications because the behavior is different.
Also, why do you want it to retry a failure? It failed for a reason so you need to fix the cause of the failure first. If it failed the first, it will likely fail the next time for the same reason. In general, ConfigMgr will only retry on transient type
errors.
