Portlet for displaying pages/content areas link for a user

Does anybody have a JPDK portlet to display
pages available to a user?
The navigator looks too technical/complex for a regular portal user.

Lookup column is the attribute of file. Attribute can not be upload! . Did you try to use the content type of link to document? If yes, you can understand my question. I want to change uploaded.aspx ( link of document) and add lookup column to this form.
Standart scenario: User create link to docunent. 1. Prees button start. 2. Input text link to upload.aspx form 3. Set attributes new. Aspx I want: 1. Press button. 2. User press dropdawn menu and choise neddeng link. 3. Set attributes Plese read my question

Master page content area height

Hello
I have a subform within a master page content area,
The subform has table which i allowed the content to break to the next page.
When i try to get the height of the subform it only gives me the height from the first page and ignores the rest on other pages the table broke to.
I need the height of the subsequent pages in order to position another subform at the bottom of the last page.
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Content Area link inside a Portlet

I built a portal page titled Finance. I also created a content area titled Corporate
Finance and published it as a portlet. When I add the Corporate Finance portlet to
the page it's visible, however the portlet header link goes to a blank page. I was
hoping this link would take me directly to the Corporate Finance content area.

There patch available for this bug in metalink ( http://metalink.oracle.com ). You should find the patch in the recent portal patch list. The bug no for this patch is 1574770.

How can I put "Favorites"portlets for various users in a page?

How can i put in a page two "Favorites" portlets (one for each user that log on into the page and one for each group of users that logon into the page),so each
user can customize (add favorites,delete favorites,..) it's own "Favorites" portlet and the other "Favorites" portlet is only customizable by a
group of user,so if the user log on is not in that group can't customize the portlet.

The favorites portlet is set up to work this way automatically. You put one version on a page, and the customizations are stored for each individual user. So the same portlet displays different favorites based on the logged in user. At this point, there is no way to define favorites for a group.

HTML Files To Be Displayed In Content Area

Is there a way (or this feature going to be implemented in future release) of displaying html file (item type = file) in the content area when a user clicks on it's link?

We are looking at ways of addressing this problem, and expect to have something in the next major release (planned for calendar year Q4).

A number of SQL views are provided for retrieving information
from content areas. These views are documented in the PDK. For
folders, use the view WWSBR_ALL_FOLDERS.

Want Portal Table Names with Page/Content Area Names

Which PORTAL30 tables have info on the OWNER, APPLICATION, PAGE,
and CONTENT AREA for each of these objects (display names as

What do you mean by "anonymous users with saved preferences"?
The anonymous desktop does not contain any editable functionality. Remember, the anonymous desktop is shared by all users that are not logged in. Therefore, it does not make sense to allow anonymous users to modify the display profile. Notice that there are no edit/minimize/maximize/remove buttons on any of the channels on the anonymous desktop. This is because the anonymous user has a specific DP that removes these buttons.
Add a portlet to the desktop just like any other channel. This can be done directly to the anonymous user's DP. Add the channel and remove the edit/minimize/maximize/remove buttons.
Users can modify the portlet preferences once they log in to their own account. At this point the preferences will be stored with their own DP.

All pages contents are diagonal (text, pictures, buttons...)

when i open firefox, the home page loads, but everything is diagonal, and it's the same for every page, they load but all the contents are diagonal. an example: i see a button that should be in a corner standing in the middle of the page and when i want to click on it, the text from the button appears near it so i have to click there to load this content. it's like the button and it's picture are separated and everything it's diagonal, even the text is italic.

Mail won't send web page content or link

I posted this the other day on the Safari site but should have posted here as well.
Suddenly I am unable to forward a web page in Safari 3.12 through Mail. I get the message:
"Safari couldn’t create an email message because it couldn’t locate an email application.
You can use the Mail application included with Mac OS X to send email. To do so, you might need to install Mail using the Mac OS X installation CDs."
This occurs whether I wish to mail the link to the page or the page contents. The program has been installed since I purchased the laptop and never had a problem doing this before. Any ideas or solutions? Thanks,

Cannot update Apps as they are linked to another users account

Hello,
I've just been given a 27 inch iMac in work. My god its a lovely machine.
There are a number of apps in the app store that have updates, these are linked to the previous users account. He has left the company.
Everytime I try to update the apps, it gives me the following message:
Sign in to [email protected] to update applications from that account.
How do I update these apps ?
Note: I cam across this link, http://www.ngpixel.com/2011/06/25/mac-app-store-you-have-updates-available-for-t he-other-accounts-bug/ but it didn't work for me.

Yes, that article is for someting else entirely.
I'm confused, is this computer really yours, or on loan from the company.
If they really gave it to you, I would just make my own administrative account, and use that as you have no idea what other kind of mal-ware could be installed on the former.

Folder Item displayed in content area page?

Is it possible to display an item
in the folder portlet area (to keep navigator bar).
I want the homepage to keep being displayed with the folder portlet in the same place only showing items description.

It is the item type that controls whether you get that option. The way around it is to build a custom item type from the text type, then add a url attribute to it.
This will give you the control you want.

Displaying page contents (including webparts) on aggregation page

CASE: Publisher can dynamically create pages in document library. Single page can have webparts embedded inside body text field. We have archive page which should aggregate all those pages and display them one under the other including webparts. In order
to do it, we have a caml query which takes body of all pages and in user control we are creating html using repeater and eval function. As an output we get rendered just text of each page without webparts. Html output code for a single page with webpart looks

Q: How to render webparts along with the rest of the (styled) content using a repeater?

According to your description, you might want to aggregate the content of other pages into one page.
Other than using Repeater, a workaround I would more recommended is that you can use the OOTB web part “Page Viewer Web Part” which can help to get the content of
other pages easily.

Portlet as item in content area folder?

I was wondering if anyone has thought of adding a new item type of type portlet to the folder container?
Is is possible now or coming down the road?
My problem is that I have 260 portlets that the user needs to navigate through in an artificial hierarchy of sorts. Tabs appear to work, but they are ugly when I do lots of nesting.
Any ideas?

The folder portlet offers only a subset of edit actions. We did
this to conserve space. This will be changed in the next
release of Portal, planned for December.

Mailing web page contents or links in Safari 3.1

Recent updates in 10.4.11 disabled the MAIL Links/Contents function in Safari 3.1 even though Safari Preferences showed the current updated version of MAIL. Error message said to reinstall Mail using the OS X install CD/DVD. Simpler fix turned out to be opening MAIL, Preferences, General, Default Email Reader, click drop-down arrow to Select..., this takes you to the Applications folder, then just click on the MAIL icon. This will re-enable the Send Links/Contents in Safari.
