Portlet title and name do not change
Hi
We changed the portlet title and portlet name in provider.xml file. After the portlet repository has been refreshed we could see the changes in the repository. But on the pages where the portlets already exists it does not show the change. If we reate a new instance of the portlet to a page, the new name is reflected.Restarting the apache( and jserv) did not make any difference. Any more changes or refresh we need to carry out?.

There are 2 tables called WWPOB_PORTLET_INSTANCE$, WWPOB_PORTLET_INSTANCE_FLAT$. Each of these tables has a name column that does not appear to reflect the new name of the portlet for the records that existed before the provider.xml changed.

HT4236 edited event name will not change on iPad

I tried deselecting the event and then sync the Ipad to delete the event on the Ipad. Then I selected the

Any Ideas?Oh yeah I have synched several times. I have PC with VISTA. I think it has something to do with some titles being READ ONLY or something like that. I need to find how to make them writeable. No changes work on about 20 titles, the artist name? Genre? NOTHING will sync. After sync all changes work fine accept for that 20 or so. titles just won't budge. every time. If I go look on I tunes my changes are still there, just don't sync to Itouch. It not the end of world but the more I upload the more I come across this. I have about 900 full albums and maybe 20 is all that's doing it.

I18N of portlet titles and the like
Is there a way to use resource bundles to define desktop, book, page and portlet
titles (and other similar non-content stuff) in Portal 8.1? If not, will it be
supported at some point?Dave, I found you can specify i18n titles through the online portal admin
console, but not through the portlet (etc) definitions in Workshop. Also,
you could make your own skeleton files... I've had to do this to reflect a
dynamically changing portlet title which is drawn from the CMS based on a
session attribute value.

I DO remember them but Apple chose to put them in Japanese and I can not change the language on Manage my Apple ID so I do not know if I made an error ,it threw me off , it was the wrong question Where did you fly to on your first Aiplane trip ? then I was unable to enter until 8 hours then called Apple Japan 4 times each time threy asked me would you like to speak with an English speaker,I said yes then they told me sorry today is Sunday no English speakers ,but they refused to speak Japanese, then I called 5th time and a kind guy could speak English we were on 1and 1/2 hours he got me to log in but the reset key chain could not be completed still pending.
He said do not mess with that ! then I got a text from somewhere to reset 4 pins suddenly it was very strange I said to him that I got this pin this morning but it said you can use maximum 3 hours it had a UK number and I told him I do not like this and will not enter the code he said do not do it if it is from the UK and then I said to him ok you did a lot to help but we can not go any further ! and we cut of I went back to my computer to re do the ID but I found everything a mess so I call and a stupid sounding Japanese women with a squeaky voice came on I was calm at first and they want your phone number your IMEI number your iPhone serial number date of birth Address email address it takes 10 munutes to check then they ask what are you caling about so I try to explain my keychain is broken or problems with language security questions and can not change my pasword because the security question have failed me so it is ONE BIG HEADACHE AND I START I GET STRESSED she says Do want an ENGLISH speaker ,I say yes ,that guy i talked to earlier but I never got his name and first time I ever talked to him but they said he is not here so I said ok and then she said today is sunday so call back in the morning ,I said ,well ok in Japanese but they make you feel stupid because they do not want to speak Jap@anese with none natives and they are to busy,And they feel that I should not bother them ,then I say that Apple Japan is trying to refuse Apple foreign customers and then she wants to hang up and ask me to visit the shop ,but they are the same I have a very bad time with Apple Japan since they do not discuss software problems or security with customer meaning if you have a problem they ask you to come on a time 20 minutes max so they do hardware test and say you phone is fine then I say no I can not reset my ID they say you must call call centre so I am going around in circles ,When I call English it is usually Australia so if my problem is in Japan surely if do not want me to talk to them in Japanese and they ask me to call Australia but every time my call charge is expensive after asking them is this free because I have Apple care they say yes but when the call goes to Australia 0120 277 535 it might change to paid call so I call then I have to ask is this charging they say we can not give you that information ! so what can I do I have have been at the computer and phone all day on my day off work and in tre week I am so busy and can not use my phone I can not work without it ,this new technology for you ,they can not cope with the fact that the customer have problems yet they do not want to deal with us because they can not solve it and so it shows them to be useless they like to walk around in their cool tee shirts and retro shop but when it comes to functionality we are unwelcome they got the money so do not return because apple is perfect that nothing should go wrong .
But it does somehow my English security answers do not work on a Japanese Question especialy if I did not choose that question I set up the multiple choice In English and wrote the answers in English or Roman and set them langauge preferences in English, do you really think you can correctly write english name or word in Japanese they write a police patrol car pato caa パトカア they do not have r and l .So it is my choice to make my security easy for me and as difficult for others to hack.But they also have patororoo choo meaning ' now patrolling ' so why they have pato caa patrol car and patoro patrol and have thousands of Chinese words kanji they can find patrol.
I am getting off the topic but I am at a loss to fix this problem when they hold the keys and i have all the info to verify my ID.You have to enter the Apple ID and password. You are running into the Activation Lock

Can't use Find My Friends on iPhone due to Apple ID not being verified.
Can't do this as I can't access my .mac email any longer and I can not change the primary e-mail address for my Apple ID!
So my options are:
Create a new Apple ID, use that and lose all the apps I've purhcased with it (a fairly substantial amount)
Somehow Migrate these purchases over to a new Apple ID
Apple let me change the primary ID for the account
Anyone else ran into this before?
I've tried accessing the mail through a mail application using the correct server information, and trying both the old 6 character password and the one I had to change it too after they updated the security guidelines - neither work.
Help would be greatly appreciated as I can see more services down the line not working without the address being verified!To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You should not need to verify the old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Webpart Title and Border Does not Work
The Chrome type "title and border" does not display the title or border on webparts. The problem is trivially reproduced:
1. Create a new blank site.
2. Add a webpart to it. Not important which one.
3. Change the chrome to title and border.
4. Apply the changes and save.
5. Note the absence of title or border.
Try changing the chrome type to either title or border and they work individually but together they do nothing. I have seen others report this issue of various forums but never a resolution. This worked in 2010 and does not work in 2013. I am using IE 11

Could you describe how it displays when you set Chrome Type as Title and Border ? For clearly, you could compare different Chrome Types in one page and post it here, it will help to understand the issue.
I reproduced the issue by adding five webparts of the same library named doclib into one page, and set the Chrome Type as Default, None, Title and Border, Title Only, Border Only, respectively.
As you could see from above, Default displays as Title Only.

I have a user who's Active Directory password is going to expire. I had her reset her password by going to apple > system prefs > user > and clicking change password. She received the error "The password for the account "account name" was not changed. Your system administrator may not allow you to change your password or there was some other problem with your password. Contact your system administrator for help."
I had her change her password via the kpasswd command in terminal and that changed her password on the server sucessfully however the laptop has FileVault on it. Filevault is not recognizing the new password just the old password.
I have deleted the keychain which didn't resolve and now I am going to decrypt and reencrypt the drive. I'm hoping this is an isolated issue I have over 25 laptops configured like this.I "think" the trick was unbinding and rebinding the computer account.
After unencrypting and trying to reencrypt Filevault would still not take the new password.
Rebooted the prompt to update the keychain appeared. Updated the keychain. Filevault would still not take the new password.
Unbinded and rebinded the computer account. It worked and let me add the user to filevault. -
Hi,
I recently have been having problems with my new Nano. I had a ipod for about two days now and my brother decided to make it his with out asking. I was able to change the music but the name is not changing. It still says his name. I have tryed clicking on the name and changeing it. That works for as long as my ipod is connected on my computer. When i plug it back in it says his name again now it freezes and wants to shut down.
Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.
<SCRIPT type=text/javascript>_popupControl();</SCRIPT>Sounds like you're on auto-sync and with disk mode DISABLED. What you need to do is enable disk mode so that your Nano doesn't automatically disengage from iTunes until you tell it to.
To enable disk mode, connect your Nano to iTunes and as soon as it shows up you need to select the disk mode option on the Summary page that shows up, then click the Apply button. Do this quickly, before the auto-sync process completes, and don't forget to click Apply!
Once disk mode is enabled you should be able to change the Nano's name. When that's done you'll need to eject it from iTunes and the name should remain changed. Note that disk mode requires you to manually eject the Nano from iTunes each time, so if you don't want that you can disable this feature once you change the Nano's name.
The alternative to all this is to restore your iPod, which erases its contents and prompts you for a new name for the iPod. But the approach above is better if you don't want to have to re-load the Nano's contents. -

I just upgraded to 6.22 and the "Allow this group's picture and name to be changed" checkbox is now missing. Why is it missing? I know that you can just do /set options -TOPIC_AND_PIC_LOCKED_FOR_USERS but I don't understand why the GUI option was removed.
Group avatars cannot be changed in the latest 6.22 version. In the case of new "cloud-based" group chats, this option is not available in older Skype versions either.

i bought the itunes music credit, and when tried to redeem it asked for my ID, i have put the details, then it asked for the security questions answers, which i can not remember. when i try to reset, the email get sent to un unknown email address which i dont own... i tried everything to update my email addresses and its still not changing. i dont know how this weird email got there, i dont own it....
please help!!!

NawrusYou won't be able to change the rescue email address on your acocunt until you can answer two of your questions, if you don't recognise the address then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

How do I get my calendar to sync on iCloud? I changed a calendar event on my iPhone 4 and it has not changed in Entourage on my MacBook. This is supposed to be automatic, isn't it?
Entourage will not sync with iCloud, not now, probably not ever, time to change.

My iPhone 5S is using 2.5GBs of storage for the camera roll. I deleted all but 190 photos and this did not change. My other devices cannot backup to iCloud due to the volume on my iPhone. Any ideas?
Try turning off the Camera Roll option in Settings>iCloud>Backup & Storage>Manage Storage>Your device. Then turn it back on again.

My question is what if I have troubleshooted with holding the sleep/awake button and power and it's not changing to any other screen what should I do? It doesn't even show the battery strength wheither its completely dead or charging at all.
- If you did not charge the iPod for a couple of hours before you did the reset then charege and reset:
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Then connect to your computer and if iTunes sees the iPod restore via iTunes.
- Next see if recovery mode will allow iTunes to see the iPod so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode:
