Portlets not moving in a region when user has no access

We have got a region with 2 columns.
Four portlets are displayed in the region.
portlet1,portlet2
portlet3,portlet4
If the user has only got access to portlet1 and 4, I would have expected portlet4 to move next to portlet1 but it stays in the same position.
Is there anyway if getting it to move up?

Region Customization - can you extract the page regions a user has selected

Is there an APEX view, or someway to determine programmatically, which customizable regions a user has selected?
In the case where we have set regions to be 'Customizable and Shown By Default', our application needs to know which regions a user has selected or de-selected, as the application processing logic will vary depending on the user selection.

Here are some useful queries.
To see all the views available.

The message comes after the implementation of note '1605054 - Restriction in access to FTP Servers & usage of test reports' or upgrading to a
support package that contains this note. This note was created to prevent malicious users from accessing remote FTP servers.
Resolution
1. Please ensure that all manual steps from note 1605054 are implemented in your system along with the code corrections
2. Then please enter the allowed FTP servers into the table SAPFTP_SERVERS or enter ‘*’ to allow all FTP servers.

How to find from the data dict if a user has read access on a directory

How to find "dynamically" if a user has READ access to a directory object.
I want to know if there is a data dictionary table that holds if a user/schema has read access to a directory object.
I know there is an dba_directories table and an all_directories table but they dont give information as to which user has read access granted to the directory.

Not so difficult.

The column types are correct. I double checked, but also I used the Business Components from Tables wizard to generate the EOs.
I think the problem might be because JDev is set to use UTF8
All of our tables are defined like:
create table junk (col1 varchar2(10 BYTE));
Notice the BYTE in the Varchar2. In all tables, ADF seems to throw the above error on ALL updates.
Any ideas?

User DOMAIN / user has no access authorization for computer IP_address

Dear Forum,
When running a function module FTP_CONNECT with RFC destination SAPFTPA (in SM59). I always get a message "User <DOMAIN>/<user> has no access authorization for computer <IP_address>". Trying it with IE, I have no problem.
There is always an event viewer security failure log when I try it:

Distribution list do not appear in TO: field when user wants to send email

All the blackberry users in the corporate are on BES server. When user enters the first few letters of a person or the # sign and the first few letters for the distribution list in TO: field, the email addresses are showing up from Global Address List (GAL) for example, and they can choose the email address.
There is a particular issue with one user. His bb does not show any distribution list when he types # sign. The individual contacts from GAL are showing up after typing the first few letters though.
User has a personal account apart from the corporate account.
I can not figure out the problem.
We recently wiped his bb and activated it, because he did not have the option to reply or forward his emails.
If you know what could be the solution apart from reactivating the bb, please let me know.

Honestly, from your original description, your users have a function I've never seen. To access the GAL from my BB, I must enter some characters and then use the Lookup function. Your description does not include the Lookup, so I honestly have no idea how your users are configured. From what you describe, it sounds like you are somehow (and for some reason) pushing the entire GAL to each device and this is not working on that one device. But, honestly, with Lookup, I can see no reason to want to push the full GAL out.

Planning not working properly when user has Oracle Jinitiator installed

Hi we have a lot of users that have Oracle Jinitiator installed to use with a system named Banner. These users have a few issues when using 11.1.1.3 - the enter key is not recognized on web forms and users cannot see business rules to execute them.
Has anyone run into this type of issue and have any proposed solutions?

Thanks I'm not sure how this has been installed. we haven't had any issues with our 9.2.1 apps with this jinitiator but with V11 we have those problems.
Is the UTF-8 format the default installation option?

Get The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'sp_send_dbmail', database 'msdb', schema 'dbo', even when user has permissions

I get the error message: The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'sp_send_dbmail', database 'msdb', schema 'dbo'. This happens when I run a job, even though the user has the correct permission on sp_send_dbmail and is a user in msdb.
If I run the procedure through SSMS it runs just fine and sends the mail.
I have run out of things to look for, any ideas on what else it could be?

To send Database mail, users must be a user in the msdb database and a member of the
DatabaseMailUserRole database role in the msdb database. To add
msdb users or groups to this role use SQL Server Management Studio or execute the following statement for the user or role that needs to send Database Mail.

Unable to update devices, receiving error 3014 on iTunes, and device via wifi is stating "Not connected to the internet", when it has an active internet connection

I have been encountering this issue and I have run out of ideas as to what would be causing this error. On numerous apple devices for our business I will receive an error 3014 when updating a device via iTunes, and this is after the software update downloads. When attempting to update the device over wifi it states that the device is not connected to the internet, when I ensured that the device has active internet connectivity.
Our business uses a Juniper firewall, which I thought might have been the initial cause of the issue, however I have ensured that ports 80 and 443 have full traffic flow and nothing blocking it, and I've also exempted all *.apple.com websites that I could find listed online.
I have also tried deleting the host files on the computer I am using to circumvent the issue.
If anyone could shed some light on what I can do to resolve this, that would be appreciated.

HOW TO SET VARIABLE WHEN METHOD HAS PRIVATE ACCESS ? ?

When I try to use an if then else statement the if part is not executed
only the else

which can only mean that "highestBid is not being set
but since "Class Lot" has a private method

so how do I get a value to "highestBid" so the "if" statement
will have a vaule for "highestBid ?

Are you ready to kick yourself? The problem lies in the class Auction. You are using showLots() to print the lots, which you are trying to show the lot number, the description and the highest bid. But no there is no where in the class where you set the highest bid. In enterLot() you pass the description of the lot and it creates a new lot with the lot number and the description, but you don't give a bid. Then after the bids are done you do not update Auction to reflect the bids. Let the kicking commence. :-)

How to Find mailboxes a specific user has full access to

I have been searching all the threads but all i am getting is user mailbox is accessible to following users. I run this command:

It is taking so much time as we have 20K mailboxes. Then i tried this:

It gives me list of those users who have access to mailboxes. But what if i want to see user_A is accessing which mailboxes. we
need to find out which mailboxes user has FULL MAILBOX ACCESS to NOT which users can access this user's mailbox. I hope you will understand, i DONT want the list which MANAGE FULL ACCESS PERMISSION option gives in GUI, but i WANT vice-versa.
We migrated 100 users to different domain, now i want to know these users' association with others' mailboxes.

If the file is stored on a server and you have access to it, you could check in Computer Management, then go into System Tools, Shared Folders, Open Files, and you should find the file listed there along with which user has it open currently.
