Portrait and landscape in the same document.

Hi there. I'm trying to print a portfolio that has both
portrait and landscape pages in it. I understand that I can change
printing propoerties to print in either portrait or landscape, but
is there any way to configure settings so that both are present in
the same document?
Many thanks in advance.
Regards
irthom

You can't do that in Pages. You either have portrait or landscape orientation of the pages. What you can do is rotating the content of the page if it is an image, objet or table.
If the document is for reading on the screen you can export the document to PDF and in Preview rotate the page.

  • Portrait and landscape pages in same ID document?

    I'm using InDesign in CS4 and am definitely not an expert user.  This may seem odd, but I have a need to produce a document that contains both portrait and landscape oriented pages but I would rather rotate the page 90° to the right rather than rotate the content 90° to the left so that I am not craning my neck while working on the content. Is this possible?  If so, how?  Thank you in advance for an assist.

    In the pages panel, choose Rotate Spread View from the panel menu.

  • Different document restrictions in Acrobat and Reader for the same document

    When I create a PDF in Acrobat Professional 9 with no security, the document restrictions summary shows comments as allowed and I can add comments in Acrobat Professional, but when the same document is opened in Adobe Reader 7, 8 or 9, the document restrictions summary show comments are not allowed and comments cannot be added.
    When I add password security to a document allowing comments, the document properties in Acrobat Prof 9 shows comments are allowed and I can add comments. When the same document is opened in Adobe Reader 7,8 or 9, the document restrictions summary show comments are not allowed and commenting is disabled.
    Has anyone come across this issue?

    How about "Document Assembly", "Creation of Page Templates", etc?
    I am submitting a grant application and they require the document setting is done in the way the reviewers can assemble, change the template, edit, comment on the document.
    When I open the document in Acrobat all these are allowed, and when I open the document in Reader they are not allowed.  Should I assume that whatever is opened in Reader is always in the setting that these are not allowed?  Or is there anything I have to do to change the setting in the "Reader"?

  • Return (122) and Reverse (102) the same document

    Hi,
    I made an goods receipt  mov 101, but the stock was wrong, then reversal document with 102 mov, then I can make a return (mov 122) for the same document that was reversed.
    Can anyone help me, how can I block mov 122 for the documents that have 102 mov.
    Thanks

    Mary & Jurgen,
    I did following:
    1) PO item 0020
    1a) GR 2 pcs in MIGO (mvt 101); --> material_document1 created
    1b) GR 2 pcs in MIGO (mvt 101); --> material_document2 created
    1c) Cancel "material_document1"; MBST (mvt 102); --> material_document3 created
    1d) MIGO-A02-R02 with reference to "material document1";mvt 122; --> material document4 created
    1e) MIGO-A02-R02 with reference to "material_document2"; mvt 122; --> error message M7021
    2) PO item 0030
    2a) GR 2 pcs in MIGO (mvt 101); --> material_document1 created
    2b) GR 2 pcs in MIGO (mvt 101); --> material_document2 created
    2c) Cancel "material_document1"; MBST (mvt 102); --> material_document3 created
    2d) MIGO-A02-R02 with reference to "material document1" (mvt 122); --> error message M7021
    The difference between the items: in ME22N I set GR based IV for item 0030 whilst this was not set for item 0020.
    Based on this I think:
    - if GR based IV is not set, system only checks the "GR/GI balance" for all item together, and doesn't check it for each particular material document
    - if GR based IV is set, system checks the balance for each material document separately.
    Is it OK?

  • Printing Portrait and Landscape pages on same report

    Hi all,
    Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2
    Oracle Reports Builder 6i
    I am developing atwo-sided EBS report which I require to detail invoice lines in Portrait orientation on one side and then have a landscape layout detailing other related information on the back.
    I am using the Main Section to display the Portrait orientation and the Trailer Section to display the Landscape orientation.
    This is producing the correct output when there is one invoice. However when there are multiple invoices selected in the Data Model, all the Portrait Invoice Line pages (Main Section) are printed first and then the Landscape Additional pages (Trailer Section).
    Does anyone have any suggestions to get around this issue?
    Kind Regards,
    Gary.

  • Can you use footnotes AND endnotes in the same document?

    I just found out today that I have to have both footnotes (for comments and annotations) and section endnotes (for citations), to follow the formatting guidelines for my thesis... do you know if it's possible to use both with Pages '09?  I've spent a long time formatting as it is and really don't want to transfer my document to Word or anything (since I'll lose some of my settings)...  I would appreciate any suggestions!  Thanks!

    The style of footnote/endnote is part of the Document settings so it appears that only one applies per document.
    You could switch between them and copy the endnotes as ordinary text into a document which has footnotes.
    That would be the only workaround I can think of.

  • How can I use both endnotes and footnotes in the same document?

    My project requires that the document have both kinds of notes. Thanks.

    You may have to split the document into 2, one for each as they seem to be an either or option.

  • How to design an iPhone app that uses both Portrait and Landscape in Flash CS6

    So I have created an App that has a different menu when it is held portrait, but changes when held landscape. I can get the navigation to work, However I am unsure how to design landscape pages inside Flash?
    My stage is set to the standard 640x960 air for iOS, which gives me perfect portrait pages, But when I tilt my phone to landscape the screen obviously changes, and it looks weird. Im hoping someone can tell me how i can get this view inside Flash, while still having the portrait screens too?
    I want to have both Portrait and Landscape in the same app, and am currently so confused how I can design this inside flash?
    I hope this makes sense, and that someone could throw some help my way!

    you can change the display depending on stage orientation but it doesn't make sense to "..swap the stage orientation between screens".
    to change the display, use a StageOrientationEvent.ORIENTATION_CHANGE event and listener:
    stage.addEventListener("orientationChange", orientationChangeF);
    function orientationChangeFr(e:StageOrientationEvent):void{
    trace(e.afterOrientation.toString());

  • Printing to Adobe PDF printer and getting the same document, possible??

    Hello:
    I need to split a page A4 into 2 pages, it's possible using print, then tile large pages, the problem is that my original document is black and white, but the generated one has a shades of gray visible when zooming to 800% (and the size is much bigger), so my question is:
    is it possible to print a document to Adobe PDF printer and getting exactly the same document?? same size, same black and white
    I'm using acrobat6

    I suspected as much.  I was hopeful it was something like a setting that needed to be changed or a reg hack that needed a bit changed from 0 to 1 to make the printing work as expected.  I only installed the local printer to see if the RDP session
    tunnel was in fact causing the print size to balloon so I will continue to instruct users to use that instead of the local redirected printer.  I am disappointed but not surprised.
    Edit:
    Additionally I have tested the functionality of setting the GPO settings for Easy Print to use the redirected printer's drivers instead of the ones used by easy print, by setting “Computer
    Configuration -> Administrative templates -Windows Components -> Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host -> Printer Redirection”.
    to “Disabled” but
    with no luck.  In fact the printer received the proper Adobe PDF driver, but the job went out into print spool hell and was lost to the ether.  I have concluded that this approach will not bear any fruit.

  • Images in portrait and landscape positioning

    In portrait mode all my images are situated perfectly with text before the image and then text after the image. In one section I only have 4 images.
    When I switch to landscape mode the images are situated in different positions - not radically different but different  enough so that the text does not 'fit' with the flow of the image-supported narrative.
    When I move the image one overlays on top of another :-/
    Or hides behind a page if I move along to the required position.
    I have deleted and re-added, moved text, created different sections so that only one image per section occurs (though this is stupidly inefficient!!) but a mess!
    How do I add images within text so that both in portrait and landscape they (the images) are positioned correctly?
    Thank you.

    Mine are currently working when set to "Inline (moves with text)" and each takes a little adjustment. This is not satisfactory for me either.  - Fabe

  • In Pages, is there a way to have both portrait and landscape pages within the same document?

    Question: In Pages, is there a way to change the orientation within the same document so that one page is portrait and the next page is landscape, for example?

    Hi Vicki,
    You can rotate in Preview. See this discussion:

  • Pages 09 - Portrait and Lanscape view in the same document?

    Is it possible to have landscape and portrait layout in the same document?

    Tim,
    You're welcome. I don't concern myself much with what Word can or can't do. The issue here is just how to get the job done in Pages with its supporting cast. You may Provide Pages Feedback and if enough voices are heard, you might get your wish. http://www.apple.com/feedback/pages.html
    By the way, Preview is a wonderful program, in my mind. The more you use it, the more you will depend on it.

  • Printing Document w/ both portrait and landscape pages

    After some searching, I was able to create PDF forms with LiveCycle that had a mix of portrait and landscape content.
    However, when I go to print the document from Acrobat Professional 8.0, it prints the landscape pages in portrait mode, thus cutting off the right side of the page.
    When printing on computers with only Acrobat Reader, the pages all print properly. Is there a way to fix this?

    If you just want a page the same size as the rest of the report but with the text printed sideways, you can do that in Pages.
    If you want a fold out page (2 sheets wide) then you will have to make a second document for the wider sheet and, after skipping a page in the original, manually insert it after printing.
    Alternatively the material can be scaled down to fit.
    Hopefully in Pages '10 we will get spreads.
    …as well as real color management, crop marks, spot color, slugs, direct selection tool, ability to select objects under other objects, a usable drawing tool, object library, user created shapes, convert text to outline…

    Every time Firefox opened

    How about if you right click on the PDF and select Save Link As..., and then open it locally from within Reader? Does it work ok then?  That might be a workaround until the issue within the browser is resolved.
