Portrait and Landscape pages in the same data.

We have to create a report, that contain Portrait and Lanscape pages in it. 1 portrait, 2 landscape, 3 portrait, 4 landscape, 5 portrait....
Even if the output designer show the first page portrait and 2nd as landscape, if we process the data it is all output as portrait and the 2nd page is cut, that it fits portrait.
Is there any command, parmeter to force JFMerge to place the data correct?

Just played a bit with Pages trying to do that.
The best I could come up with was to create the table in a separate Pages doc set to landscape, then take a screenshot of it. I then opened that in Preview and rotated the image 90 degrees, then saved it. I then dropped that adjusted image onto a separate page in the Pages doc set to portait.
This method, of course, requires that the table be 100% complete and finished, since no data-, text-, or info-level alterations can be made to it after it becomes a screenshot.

  • In Pages, is there a way to have both portrait and landscape pages within the same document?

Question: In Pages, is there a way to change the orientation within the same document so that one page is portrait and the next page is landscape, for example?

    Hi Vicki,
You can rotate in Preview. See this discussion:

  • How do I convert a FrameMaker file containing both Portrait and Landscape pages into PDF?

I have recently converted to FrameMaker 9 and Acrobat 9. In the FrameMaker manual I am creating, most of the pages have Portait orientation, but some have Landscape orientation. However, when I convert the manual to PDF using Acrobat Distiller, the Landscape pages become Portrait. This wasn't a problem when I converted the manual into PDF in previous versions of Acrobat Distiller, it appeared after I installed Acrobat 9. In other words, the FrameMaker file has worked before. I have also tried this on three different computers to make sure the computer is not the problem. Does anybody have any ideas that I could try to make this work?

Jorunn, did you ever resolve this problem? If not, I've got a solution for you.
In FrameMaker, select the book you want to create a PDF of, click File > Print, and select Adobe PDF as your printer.
Click Properties and make sure you have the selections you want.
Back on the Print Setup dialog, leave the Paper and Orientation as both Letter and Portrait respectively.
On the Print Book dialog, select Print to File and browse to the correct location. Make certain to save this as a PostScript file (name.ps) and at the Safe Book As field, you want Single File selected.
Again on the Print Book dialog, click the checkbox for Generate Adobe Data and click PDF Setup. On the PDF Setup for Selected Files dialog, at the PDF Job Options, select Press Quality or make the appropriate choices for your situation for Settings, Bookmarks, Tags, and Links.
With Adobe Distiller open, File > Open and browse to the .ps file you indicated earlier. Also verify your Default Settings for the PDF are correct. When Distiller is finished, you can double-click the PDF file to open it and check that your portrait and landscape pages show correctly.

I can think of two possible stumbling blocks:
What are your 8.6 options for "byte order" and "prepend array or string size"?
Overall, many file IO functions have changed with LabVIEW 8.0, so there might not be an exact 1:1 code conversion. You might need to make some modifications. For example, in 7.1, you should use "write file", the "binary file VIs" are special purpose (I16 or SGL). What is your data type?

  • Portrait and landscape pages in same ID document?

I'm using InDesign in CS4 and am definitely not an expert user.  This may seem odd, but I have a need to produce a document that contains both portrait and landscape oriented pages but I would rather rotate the page 90° to the right rather than rotate the content 90° to the left so that I am not craning my neck while working on the content. Is this possible?  If so, how?  Thank you in advance for an assist.

  • Printing Document w/ both portrait and landscape pages

After some searching, I was able to create PDF forms with LiveCycle that had a mix of portrait and landscape content.
However, when I go to print the document from Acrobat Professional 8.0, it prints the landscape pages in portrait mode, thus cutting off the right side of the page.
When printing on computers with only Acrobat Reader, the pages all print properly. Is there a way to fix this?

If you just want a page the same size as the rest of the report but with the text printed sideways, you can do that in Pages.
If you want a fold out page (2 sheets wide) then you will have to make a second document for the wider sheet and, after skipping a page in the original, manually insert it after printing.
Alternatively the material can be scaled down to fit.
Hopefully in Pages '10 we will get spreads.

  • Delta and full uploads in the same data target?????

I have found that delta load and full update from different infopackages are getting loaded into the same data target that is ODS object. when do we go for such situation, can any one explain me in detail or give me some documents to know more about it.

    Hi,
You have not clearly mentioned that those infopackages are ctrated on the same Datasource or not.
This way of uploading is very common when we need to upload some data from R/3 and some other data from Flat file into the Info cube. And GenerallyFlat file data would not be given in Before image and after image way, thats why we need to do full uplaod. The deleetion of already uploaded flat file data fromt he cube (before new upload from flat file ) depends up on whether the data to be uploaded from flat file system is always new data or not. And generally R/3 Extractor is capable of giving deltas, thats why only delta loads to the cube.

  • Pages 09 - Portrait and Lanscape view in the same document?

Is it possible to have landscape and portrait layout in the same document?

    Tim,
You're welcome. I don't concern myself much with what Word can or can't do. The issue here is just how to get the job done in Pages with its supporting cast. You may Provide Pages Feedback and if enough voices are heard, you might get your wish. http://www.apple.com/feedback/pages.html
By the way, Preview is a wonderful program, in my mind. The more you use it, the more you will depend on it.

  • Printing Portrait and Landscape pages on same report

    Hi all,
    Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2
    Oracle Reports Builder 6i
I am developing atwo-sided EBS report which I require to detail invoice lines in Portrait orientation on one side and then have a landscape layout detailing other related information on the back.
I am using the Main Section to display the Portrait orientation and the Trailer Section to display the Landscape orientation.
This is producing the correct output when there is one invoice. However when there are multiple invoices selected in the Data Model, all the Portrait Invoice Line pages (Main Section) are printed first and then the Landscape Additional pages (Trailer Section).
Does anyone have any suggestions to get around this issue?
    Kind Regards,
    Gary.

  • How do I export from PDF to Word when PDF has both portrait and landscape pages in it?

Most of the pdf is in portrait but a few are in landscape in the middle of the document and it totally screws up the rest of the document. Help! AND the portrait page size is 8.27 x 11/69.

Looks like you have A4 pages. I would copy the PDF and then rotate the landscape pages (or portrait) individually (use the tools, not the view rotation) and then do the save to DOC or DOCX. That might do what you want. I would have expected it to notice the orientation, but I guess not. You did not mention the version of Acrobat. If you have not done the updates, you may want to do those first. Your issue may have been address with the updates.

  • PDF with portrait and landscape pages

I have a pdf with following composition:
    - first page include a dynamic table where users can click a button to add rows (portrait orientation)
    - second page include static content (portrait orientation)
    - third page include static content (landscape orientation)
    - fourth page include static content (portrait orientation)
The problem is that when the table grows, the second page takes the landscape orientation,
the third page takes the portrait orientation...
It's possible keep the settings defined for that all pages generated from dynamic table takes
portrait orientation, and the next page (initially the third page) keeps the landscape orientation.
    Thanks in advance.

    Don't works correctly.

  • Universal Changes (vs. each and every page of the same item)

    Hey All:
Been working with Dreamweaver (CS5) long enough now to realize there are things I can do, and should do.  Now it's time to learn how.
My biggest time issue is that I can have the same thing (such as a table or menu) on each page.  So if I change an item on one page I then have to go change that item (such as a menu item label) in all other pages where it appears.
Is there a way to create a menu, table, etc. in one file and automatically insert it in the same (or even different) areas of all pages automatically?  So, can I create, for example, a page with a table - and have that table appear on all other pages where I want it inserted?
Likewise, when I change something in a menu, to have that same menu on all other pages (where it appears) to automatically update?
Many thanks, David  (see www.aloe-vera.org for the website I'm talking about)

All the pages using Server Side Includes must be .asp or .shtml files. "
Partly true but not the whole story.
Your pages must have a file extension which tells the server to parse (or check) the code for Includes (and process them) before delivering the page to the browser.
This file extension can be .php, .shtml, .asp or several others.
Another alternative is to ask your web host to configure the server to check .html files for Includes too. Some hosts do this cheerfully. Others refuse.
A longer term view is for you to plan for the future.
If you accept the fact that, as your skills improve, you're likely to add more functionality to your website than simply SSIs. e.g. shopping cart, online forms, surveys, then you can prepare your site for the future by changing all your pages to a .php file extension now (or whatever your server language may be).
This is a pain but means you have nothing furrther to do to improve the functionality of your website other than add code.
Once all .html pages have been switched to .php you can add re-directs on the server so that SE results remain valid until your .php pages get indexed.
Plenty of people come to this crossroads eventually. None regret biting the bullet and converting their pages.

  • Portrait and landscape in the same document.

Hi there. I'm trying to print a portfolio that has both
portrait and landscape pages in it. I understand that I can change
printing propoerties to print in either portrait or landscape, but
is there any way to configure settings so that both are present in
    the same document?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards
    irthom

You can't do that in Pages. You either have portrait or landscape orientation of the pages. What you can do is rotating the content of the page if it is an image, objet or table.
If the document is for reading on the screen you can export the document to PDF and in Preview rotate the page.
