Ports on various servers GRC, RWD, Loadrunner, Quality Center

Y'all,
With Governance, Risk, and Compliance on a Windows 2008 server, what ports should be open?
Same for RWD, HP Loadrunner, and HP Quality Center.
The port numbers, please.
This is some hard to find info.  I've searched the Forums.  Not that it's not there, just not popping out.
Thank you.
Cheers!

Well, y'all, looks like if it's setting on a Windows box the port is 3389.  There might be need of a 8XXX something for some of the apps.
Cheers!

  • ARRAY using in PreparedStatement in various servers

Hello, all! I have a question.
I want to use array in my sql query and write next:
    PreparedStatement ps = con.prepareStatement(MY_QUERY);
    ArrayDescriptor arrayDescriptor = ArrayDescriptor.createDescriptor("CHAR_ARRAY", wrappedConection);
    ARRAY myArray = new ARRAY(arrayDescriptor, con, javaArray);
    ps.setArray(1, myArray);
    ResultSet result = ps.executeQuery();
The problem lay in the arrayDescriptor need for OracleConnection, but I have wrapped connection from various servers. Any suggestions?

If you need a database-specific class that's outside the java.sql interface set, I'd say you're doing it wrong.
How is saving an array relational? Why wouldn't it be n records instead of 1?

  • Client communication port for workgroup servers

We have SCCM 2012 R2 Single Primary Site in intranet. We have PKI with ADCS 2012. We are in process of mirating to HTTPS communication using certificates. We have few servers in workgroup and we plan to manage those servers with configuration manager by
manually installing client and specifying smsmp=sccm fqdn. for lookup management point.
Can we change client communication port for these servers?
For successful client communication do we need to open any ports except 443 in firewall?
What all ports needed to be open in this scenario?

    Hi,
You configure the Communications port for the MP in the site so they must use the same ports, you can configure alternate ports so if it cannot communicate on port 443 it tries the next port.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg712276.aspx
443 is sufficient, the client will also try to communicate on port 10123 for Client Notification,
    http://www.google.se/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCsQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fblogs.technet.com%2Fb%2Fconfigmgrteam%2Farchive%2F2012%2F09%2F27%2Ffast-channel-for-system-management.aspx&ei=1dAhU7qqOIL8ygPb1IHQAQ&usg=AFQjCNF4_G2sZBMbDDtJa95LBx7EYYBrRw
But it should fallback to 443 if not available as well.

  • SolMan integration with HP Quality Center

    Hi Friends,
Is there any way by which we can integrate Solution Manager with Mercury Quality Center?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Rock

    Hi Rock,
The short answer is - yes, you can, after buying a 'Adapter' that SAP sells.
I am not sure if you have already seen some relevant pages and still have this doubt. In any case, I have listed some places where you would find relevant literature.
    (1) http://service.sap.com/rkt-solman
In the above link, after supplying your OSS ID and password, you have access to various training documents. One of the links contain SAP Tutor and PDF files on this subject.
    (2) For Adapter information, please got to the following link:
    http://service.sap.com/upgrade
Click on Product Availability Matrix and then search for Adapter QC in Quick Search for Product Versions  box.
You would get a window message that confirms that the Adapter is made available by SAP since 13.03.2008
    (3) You also find some more information from 'Online Help' section on Solution Manager
    Trust this helps.
    Regards,
    Srini

  • Connecting to Quality Center on Websphere

    Hi all.
We're in the process of moving our Quality Center instance from Windows to a Unix/Websphere environment.  In the "old" world when we set up the logical port to QC from SolMan, we used Server:8080 to connect.  8080 was the JBoss default , but apparently on Websphere that is no longer the case.
Is anyone running QC on Websphere?  If so, is there a default port that we need to use when setting up the logical port?  HP apparenlty told our server team that " it's a manual configuration - we prefer JBoss..  "  so they were no help.
    Thanks.
    Bernie

Ok, we figured out that the port is 31080, but still no love from Solman.
Is there ANYONE running QC on websphere and connecting from Solman?  Were there any specific config documents for this out there somewhere??
    thanks.

  • Quality Center Adapter - Connecting Multiple Solution Manager Systems

We are running Solution Manager 7/Enhp 1 and Quality Center 10 successfully using the Quality Center Adapter integration. My question is, can we connect multiple Solution Manager systems (i.e. SMP/SMS/SMX) to a single Quality Center server simultaneously? Or is there a one-to-one relationship restriction. Thanks.

I have answered this question in this post below:
    http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2110531&messageID=10962875#10962875
    To quote myself
Each tie up is based on the logical ports at the Solution Manager end and the relationship between the two entities is between Projects. So if you set up the configuration like you would in a normal scenario and at the right moment, connect the projects in SolMans to the corresponding projects in HPQC, you should be fine.
    Hope that helps.

  • HP Quality Center Upgrade to Patch level 25

    Hi @ all,
i did not find any better forum to post my questions... So i hope someone here can help me!
We are using the HP Quality Center with support from SAP.
We have Version 10.00 Patchlevel 19 installed.
    Our Server is using
    Windows 2003 as Operating system
and as DB we use SQL Server 2005 mit SP3.
Now we want to do an upgrade to Patchlevel 25 so that we can use
Windows 2008 R2 64 bit as operating system
and as DB SQL Server 2008 SP2.
This is our first upgrade on HPQC so I am searching for informations about how this will work!
Has anybody here experiences with this matter?
    Thx in advanc and greetings
    Ulrich Sahm

    Hi Harmeet,
thanks for your answer. We would like to do following:
    - we are now using a DB on SQL Server 2005 with HP QC Version 10.0 Patch 19
    - we want to move to a DB on SQL Server 2008 SP2
    - therefore it is necessary to upgrade to patch 25
So my question now is the order we have to do this. I would suppose the following order:
    1. backup the existing databases (site admin & projects)
    2. copy the repository folders of the projects
    3. setup Windows 2008 R2 64 bit and SQL Server 2008 SP2 on existing server
    4. restore the DB's on SQL Server 2008 SP2
    5. install patch 25
Another possibility, that came up late was follwing: We Upgrade to HPQC 11 Patch 6. In thsi case i would suppose the following order:
    1. backup the existing databases (site admin & projects)
    2. copy the repository folders of the projects
    3. setup Windows 2008 R2 64 bit and SQL Server 2008 SP2 on existing
    servers
    4. restore the DB on SQL Server 2008 SP2
    5. uninstall HP QC version 10
    6. install patch 6 of QC version 11.0 and assign the restored site
    admin db during installation
    7. do a mass upgrade to the project DB`s
Do you think we missed something or can we do it like this?
    Thanks
    Ulrich

  • Cucumber to Quality Center to MicroStrategy

This question is just the tip of the iceberg.  But, before I give more info, I just want to know if there is anyone out there that has/had similar experience and can help us.
Does anyone have any experience with a) importing Cucumber/Ruby automation scripts into Quality Center (10), and/or b) exporting Quality Center data (requirements, tests, defects) and importing/modeling it in MicroStrategy (9) Business Intelligence/Analytics?
If anyone does, I can provide (much!) more info.  Thanks in advance!

Ok, we figured out that the port is 31080, but still no love from Solman.
Is there ANYONE running QC on websphere and connecting from Solman?  Were there any specific config documents for this out there somewhere??
    thanks.

  • FREC Error while Generating Reports in Quality Center

    Hi,
We usually generate reports using Dashboard module of Quality Center . While generating reports on  a particular PC, we are getting the following error.
The SQL Query <sheet1> has failed to run, with the following error:
Returned Result is not valid FREC.
We are able to generate the same report on a different PC.
Does anyone encounter this issue earlier? Could someone help us out in solving this issue.

Issue popped up with me a few times and seemingly uncontrolled.
I resolved one query with replacing quotes in the string i.e. replace single with double by replace([field],chr(39),chr(34))

  • How to test the SAP modules like SD and MM By using Quality Center and QTP

    Hi Experts,
How to test the SAP modules like SD and MM By using Quality Center and QTP. Can you please provide the documentation regarding this.
    Regards,
    Skumar.

    Hi Sampath,
First install QTP and SAP Addin with in QTP.
2nd use QC to develop the test plan and then convert that test plan design to Test Scripts (QTP vesrion using settings)
3rd record the R/3 GUI screen of SAP for SD, MM like Create order or Create PR.
Once recording is done QTP will create a script in VB
    SAPGuiSession("Session").SAPGuiWindow("SAP Easy Access  -  User").SAPGuiOKCode("OKCode").Set "/nVA01"
    SAPGuiSession("Session").SAPGuiWindow("SAP Easy Access  -  User").SendKey ENTER
you can always add a parameter and other customization according to your requirement.
Let me know if you need more information regarding this.
    Good Luck!

  • How do i start doing SolMan integration with HP Quality Center?

    Hi guyz,
I am new in this SAP field with zero knowledge on it and my first task being assigned to me is to integrate SolMan with HP Quality Center. So how do i start? What do i need to know before doing the integration? As iI know by far SolMan need to have QC adapter to communicate with HP Quality Center. What is the adapter anyway? Correct me if i'm wrong. Really need you guyz expertise on this. Thanks.

    Hi,
The SAP Solution Manager Adapter for SAP Quality Center by HP is an interface between
SAP Quality Center by HP and SAP Solution Manager. SAP Quality Center by HP extends
SAP Solution Manager testing capabilities u2013 together they achieve a full integration of test
people, test processes and test data in the SAP Solution Manager Application Management
Platform. The integration on SAP Solution Manager side is realized via the SAP Solution
Manager Adapter for SAP Quality Center by HP.
After installing the Adapter, please check the Note: 1285941 for the installation of EIM versions and Solution Manager versions.
Please refer how to guide in Learning Maps.
    https://websmp104.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000706460&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&
We have to check for the activation of SM_QC_AD Enterprise Addon from IMG activity SAP Solution Manager->Configuration->Scenario-Specific Settings->Activate
    Solution Manager Enhancements.
Then follow the IMG activity transaction spro: Scenario Specific Settings-> Third Party Integration-> SAP Quality Center by HP-> Integration Test Management & Integration Defect Management.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • BW and HP quality Center Report Error

    Hi ,
We have installed BW7.0 and EP 7.0 . Testing are running from Load runner with HP quality center. It is running some time properly and last minute we are getting error.
Basicalley performance testing is we are doing on the sap systems.
Cannot get connection for 60 seconds. Possible reasons: 1) Connections are cached within SystemThread(can be any server service or any code invoked within SystemThread in the SAP J2EE Engine), 2) The pool size of adapter "SAPFactory" is not enough according to the current load of the system or 3) The specified time to wait for connection is not enough according to the pool size and current load of the system. In case 1) the solution is to check for cached connections using the Connector Service list-conns command, in case 2) to increase the size of the pool and in case 3) to increase the time to wait for connection property. In case of application thread, there is an automatic mechanism which detects unclosed connections and unfinished transactions
Can some body help on this??
    Regards,

    Hi,
Any ways we can get the log of the error to see here.
Also see for replicating the problem couple of times, check the log if its different for different tries please paste all those logs here.

  • How to configure SolMan for interfacing with SAP Quality Center

    Hello everyone,
Our company has only recently acquired and activated the permanent license for SAP Quality Center by HP. We would like QC to interface with SAP Solution Manager. My question is how to perform the configuration steps to make the interface work with Quality Center? I need to set up the IMG addon SM_QC_AD, which can be found under the transaction SPRO, but I need documentation on which steps to take and why.
I am often referred to SAP note 1059350 and/or the configuration guide, but these only say that I should configure the IMG but not how.
There is a SAP tutor available on the service marketplace, but I think it's rather uninformative.
Can I find better documentation elsewhere?

    Hi ,
[Configuration Guide SAP adapter for SAP Quality Center by HP|https://websmp101.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/011000358700000612662007E/Adapter_Configuration_.pdf] might be useful.
    Check [Master guide|https://websmp201.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/011000358700000612672007E/Adapter_Master_Guide.pdf]  also.

  • Using Quality Center (v9.0) to automate testing in SAP- questions/guidence

    Hi,
First time on the expert forums for me. Hope you are able to help provide some guidance on this area for me.
Overview is our client is looking to fully automate testing in SAP for patches/upgrades/new developments by using Quality Centre v9.0 (which was implemented for test management as part of upgrade to SAP ERP 6.0)
I am starting to investigate this for them and looking for some answers on queries I have / guidance on whta is required to meet this objective.
    - I have read mention of "SAP Quality Centre". Is this different to HP Quality Centre that we currently have installed? If it is different to HP QC do you need the SAP Quality Centre version installed to be able to automate the testing? Or is SAP QC if you just want to do it stand alone without using Solution Manager?.
    - To automate testing in QC 9  is the implementation of SAP Solutions Manager required to enable it?
    - Are other tools required to be implemented to enable the automation of testing in SAP ERP with HP Quality Centre ? eg for the process modelling (I read about the use of ARIS earlier?) or is the modelling done in SAP Solution Manager functionality?
    - Is there qa brief overview anywhere on SAP or HP site that states the steps to automate the testing. eg Is the detail in QC for the transactions/parameters to use for each test or is this in SAP Solution Manager/Modelling tool? Also effort required in the implementations that are required (application wise) and effort required to get tests set up to the level required for the automated testing.
Any help/advice is greatly appreciated. As you can tell I am coming at this form a point of nearly zero knowledge on how it all fits together/effort required.
    Thanks

    Hi
I luv solman so if u ask me i can do all with solman itself and say not  to go with Quality center
but again it is upto project requirement
it is very easy to build the automated scripts in QTP etc used with Quality center but again bit more complicated in ECATT
its upto the ur decision but if u r gng with manual test case management forgot quality center and go with Solman
So far i have done 5 Test Management implementation including both type of test casees automatic and manual and all are managed with solman
moreover if u get service desk configured in place then its integrated with solman test management whic helps u a lot.....
one step ahead go for Change management.
    Hope it ans ur query
