Ports Open, people still can't connect

I'm trying to set my router up to be able to host a private call of duty 4 server for my friends, but it doesn't seem to be working. I have my computer set up as a static IP address, and I have the correct ports forwarded on the router under the correct IP address (the same one that I am hosting the server on, 192.168.1.102). I even tried opening all ports for and enabling DMZ temporarily to see if they could connect. My friend still couldn't connect to my server. I have the router firewall, and my personal firewall disabled as well. What am I missing?

Update to latest firmware. Change static IP from 102 to something outside DHCP range. disable UPnP and DMZ, only do port forwarding, of all ports used by server.

You need OS X 10.8 mountain lion, mirror is a feature of that OS and you need to buy it from the app store, OS X 10.7.5 does not do it.
If you don't want to change visit www.airparrot.com a third party app that can do it.

Installed 8.1.1 and still can't connect to the iTunes store

So for about 3 weeks I've been unable to connect to the iTunes store. I've allowed iTunes as an exception to my firewall; I've even tried turning the firewall off. I just installed 8.1.1 and I still can't connect to the store--what is going on? Any advice or anything?

Ah! I got it! I tried turning off the Symantec and that wasn't it (but thanks for the suggestion), but after poking around on the forum, someone said to try this:
try going to control panel > internet options > Connections > LAN settings
Then uncheck "automatically use a proxy server"
And voila, iTunes works! Thank you so much for all your help though; it's nice to know that someone is trying to help.

Despite troubleshooting, still can't connect to the internet on my Dell Laptop

When trying to connect to the internet, I get the following message: Server not found Firefox can't find the server at www.apple.com.
I cleared recent history, but still can't connect.

Some laptops have a switch somewhere on the machine, usually underneath which you can use to prevent the laptop from connecting to the Internet.
Can you connect with Internet Explorer? If you can, then it may be that your firewall is blocking the connection. See [[Firewalls]]

Still can't connect to WiFi since yesterday's iO6 upgrade on my iPhone 4s. Plus battery life is horrible!!

If you are having the issue where it takes you to a login page, goto Settings > WiFi and tap on the blue button to the right of your network name. There'll probably be an option to auto-join and you'll want to toggle that. If it's off, turn it on then back off. If it's on, toggle it off. If prompted to login again, just hit Cancel in the upper-right. Now goto Safari app and you should be prompted to connect to your network at which time it should work. It did for me at least and a friend of mine.

Still can't connect with PC

Well, at this point I've spent at least 15 hours trying to troubleshoot why I can't connect in iChat with my daughter on her XP machine, and still no luck. I've read a lot of the threads here, but nothing mentioned seems to work.
I have a Mini mac running OSX 10.4.8, with firewall off, and an external iSite camera. My daughter has a PC running XP and turns her firewall off before we try to connect. The sequence of events is as follows:
I open iChat, and my daughter appears on my Buddy list with a green dot and an active (green) camera icon. I click the camera icon for her name, and a message appears "starting video chat" with the revolving gear. 10 seconds later (exactly, all the time) I get the message "There was a connection error during your chat". When I click on the button not to send a report to Apple and can see the screen underneath, I see the message "Failed to start video chat because (I) did not respond." This happens whether I invite her to chat, or she invites me and I accept. On her end, she gets the message "The invitation was retracted because another instance accepted it."
I had a friend with a MacBook Pro go over to my daughter's house to help us troubleshoot. He was able to connect with her PC from his Mac. We checked all the settings we could think of (he's also on OSX 10.4.8) and couldn't find anything different between our two machines' settings (though of course he's on a G5 and the mini mac is G4). He and I were able to communicate fine using iChat between his MacBook Pro and my mini Mac.
The one saving grace is that I finally had him download Skype onto my daughter's computer, and we were able to get a video chat working using Skype between the PC and my miniMac. So I guess I shouldn't complain, but the iChat image and sound (between our two Macs) were a good bit better that what I am getting over Skype, and I would love to be able to connect with iChat.
Any other thoughts or suggestions before I finally give up on iChat?

Which version of AIm is she trying ?
Has she tuned the app to the camera and mic if it is AIM 5.9 ?
(Press F£ scroll down to Live Video and then the "Tuning" Button)
Did she allow the AIM application as an Exception ? As turning the Firewall Off does not always work.

We know the ports for iChat must be open in her modem or any separate router but is it the same for the AIM App ?
AIM 6.1.32.1 is producing better success to Mac OS 10.4.9

I have just installed HP11.1.2 before. and create a application with demo data. the process progress successfully while it is occured error opening the forms.

while Essbase server it's running now. coz i can't get any more infor about this error.

What happens when you try and refresh the database, Administration > Application > Refresh Database > Select Database and Refresh
Does it still error out? If so are you sure you can login into essbase using say EAS of Maxl
If it does let you refresh, does it still error when you go back to the form?

Still can't connect to Exchange Calendar

Problem started in Mavericks...
My uni offers student email through Office365, it includes the calendar which works on every platform but the MacOS. (iOS, Outlook online, Android, etc.)
The problem is that Calendar can't connect to the Exchange calendar properly.
Error: Calendar needs a valid email address to connect to the Exchange account.
In some research it was found when the global address list is hidden along with Microsoft not implementing a SSL certificate correctly, so it breaks access to the Exchange calendar.

My phone is doin the same thing.. I was disabling sire reseting the net work and then the phone and the re-enabling siri. and is doesnt work.. It stopped working for me around 6:00pm ET I was applying the reset fix i had to do it multiple times. it started to work around 1130pm ET and when i woke up this morning around 900am ET agian it will not work. I keep getting "can not connected to network" i have tried all resets suggested no luck.. I thing apple needs to stregthen and boost capacity on there server end. I came to this IPhone soley bc of Siri and with out the leading software that i believe separates Apple from the rest.. this phone is junk hardware.. I was furious when i learned that the RAM is only 500mb.. all new droids have a Gig with the dual core processors..
Why would apple put a dual core chip in a phone with little/no RAM?????? I believe this is whats causing all alot of issues with Siri... If you have mulitle apps open or in the inactive state.. there is NO Room in the memory for Siri to run and function properly!

Still can't connect to WiFi on iOS 6 iPhone 4S?

I have read all the workarounds for convincing iPhone 4S updated to iOS 6 to connect to my wireless network and it still will not connect. I've used it in other places with no issues (networks with no security) but I can't connect to my home wireless network (Airport Extreme). My other devices connect fine and there were no issues before upgrading but I have tried restarting the Airport anyway and changing the security settings and still nothing. Half the time when I go into WiFi settings on the phone, the network doesn't even show up in the list. Whenever it does, I try to connect and either get "Cannot connect to network," or I am asked for the password and I enter it and I get the same error message. I've tried resetting my network settings and doing a soft reset of the phone but nothing seems to help. I also tried removing security on the wireless network completely and it still can't find the network or connect to it.
Has anyone found a workaround for this short of reseting/restoring the phone or a problem with the Airport Extreme that might be causing the issue?

Update: I tried restoring the Airport Extreme to factory settings and used a new network name. It connects at first, but then loses the connection after a minute or two and the network disappears from the list...infuriating.

I mostly use my wi-fi here at home and I've never had major problems before but I woke up this morning to find that my iPod can't connect tot he wi-fi anymore. It was working perfectly the night before and now it just doesn't connect no matter what I do!
     I've tried everything from reseting the iPod, my router, the network settings, everything. The internet still doesn't work. It shows that I've connected to my router but I can't do anything that requires a wi-fi connection (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter) even though it says it's connected and shows full bars! Also, the wi-fi connects and disconnects by itself every once in a while.
     Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is frustrating me so much!

I can't get any of my applications to open. I can't connect to my Wi fi and my MacBook Pro says it's not charging. It is 4 yrs old and I've taken it in for repairs 3 times this year. Also was told my cd rom packed it in. Is it possible I need a new one?

Frustrated with my Mac book pro. It's 4 yrs old and I've taken it in 3 times this year for different issues. Just last week they said my Cd Rom has packed it in. As of this week, I can't connect to wifi or get any of my applications to respond. Also won't hold a charge :(. Is it possible I need a new one? I paid 2200.00 for thus one. Seems like it should last longer than that. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I can see you have 10.4.11 but do you have Safari 4, correct version of Quicktime?

STILL can't connect to wifi

My Itouch still won't connect to my network. My Xbox live and Macbook are running just fine off of the router (Yes, I turned it off and on), and obviously know my password. The Itouch recognizes my network, but says it's unable to join. I've restored my settings, and not sure what else to do. I'm going crazy not being able to download any apps or use this thing. Please help

My iPod touch does connect to other wifi hotspot, but it still will not join at my home it saying wrong password. Should I go thru att who I purchase my new modem and see if they could walk me through and reset my password?
