Are you talking about spell check? If so, MS stuff has its own settings for that. Best look in the Word help and search/ask in the forum devoted solely to problems with that app:

After you go to system preferences/keyboard/input sources as suggested by sberman, click on the + button and scroll down to Portuguese and select that. Over at the right you will see the choices Brazilian, Brazilian abnt, Portuguese. You might want to add all three to see which you like best.
The "Brazilian" layout is pretty useless. It is identical to the US layout and the only way to make accents is via the option key shortcuts: option + n, then o gives you õ.
The Brazilian abnt and Portuguese layouts have dead keys for adding accents over at the right edge of the keyboard. But these may not match what is printed on your keys.
You may prefer to stay with the US layout. On that you can get accented letters by just holding down the base letter and selecting what you want from the popup menu that appears. Or you can use the option key shortcuts.
Another option is the layout called US International PC, which has accent deadkeys on ~, ', etc.
Which ever layout you want to use, you must select it in the "flag" menu at the top right of the screen.

Your server is telling all browsers that the page is encoded as Latin-1. Instead it must tell them it is UTF-8. Ask them to fix this for your account.

Crystal Report Portuguese language support

Hi I am using Crystal Reports 10 with IIS Server. I wish to display some of the reports in Portuguese language. How can I configure Crystal Reports to display data in Portuguese ? I guess I will need to download a language pack for this but will it allow word-by-word conversion from English to Portuguese ? Grammatically correct sentences are not currently my concern. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Need more info. Crystal reports by itself does not use IIS. Are you using CR Enterprise 10 or did you develop an application using CR 10 runtime?
I don't believe CR or CE 10 supported or had a language pack for Portuguese. CR 2008 and BOE 3.1 now does though.
Also, CR/CE 10 had all of the language packs included so it you don't see it it wasn't something you could download.

Nokia 6680 V 5.04.07 portuguese language

I have updated to the last firmware version available for Nokia 6680 (5.04.07) and i live in Portugal, but the portuguese language is not available! I have updated second time because i noticed that some users had that issue with another phones but i only have English, French and Dutch as available languages in the new firmware.

Change tablet - Has no Portuguese language

Dear,
I'm trying to call you since last week by number you gave me that is listed in Warranty Folder but I haven't been able to complete the call. So I think this forum could help me.
The situation is: I bought a tablet in USA, however it does not have Portuguese language.
How can I do to return it if I am in Brazil now and I need to get another one with the Portuguese Language option included in the tablet?

Well, only a Care point will be able to install a language pack which contains your language.
I'm not sure how this works when you've bought it in another country. - Call a care point and hear if they can do it and if it will cost you a small fee.

All references to NLS patch 6394500 and NLS Release 12.0.4 patch 6394500 refer to the Release 12.0.4 NLS software for the language. The software is available from the NLS DVD media or from EPD (http://edelivery.oracle.com/). Portuguese language translation

Hi,
I read somewhere that Portuguese language used to be support by MXKollection. Where can I get the tNG.res.php for that language.
Isn't there a repository for user created language files?

I am currently doing a translation into Portuguese of ADDT's "resources" folder while I working in a new project. I'll post a link to a portuguese version of it as soon as I get done.

The availability of languages is a multi-step process, starting with having the OS package installed on your device that contains the language you desire. The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below.
2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:

It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
Use this KB to guide you in selecting the proper OS Package:

5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:

C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
6a) For changing your installed BB OS level (upgrade or downgrade), you can launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC.
6b) Or, for reloading your currently installed BB OS level as well as for changing it, bypass the Desktop Software and use LOADER.EXE directly, by proceeding to step 2 in this process:

Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC.
If, during the processes of 6a or 6b, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue. Make sure when it offers you languages to install that you select ALL of the items related to your desired language.
After completion, be sure to activate the language on your device.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

My iPod touch with iOS 4.3.3 (with Portuguese language) shows maps in Chinese, making it impossible to use the function "Itinerary". What can be?

Recently restored my iPod touch (32GB, 3rd Generation, iOS 4.3.3 in Portuguese,non-jailbroken) and when I went to use the application "Maps", I came across it in Chinese. Iq do not understand nothing of the language. I've been on the "Settings > General > International > Region Format > Brazil" and to no avail.
And this is not happening only in the iPod, but in my iPad (1st generation 32GB, withsame settings)
What should I do?
Is that the problem is on Google or on my iPod?

Untranslated table strips on portuguese language patch

On some FI-AA transactions (like AS01 or ABZON), some table strips remain with their names written in english, even though my project's Basis crew have already put the portuguese supplementation on the ECC 6.0 Unicode system. I've already looked into the SAP Notes, but I haven't found anything really useful or in anywhere related to my issue.
