I got the following message in my POSDM for a transaction
"Task was rejected because it is not relevant"
Coulfd you please tell me what the error actually is?

Hi,
please check if you have activated the "Filter Balue for Category Code Determination" in the General Settings tab. This setting controls if the mapping tables for SAP POS (under Integration with other SAP components) is used or not. In your case this seems to be the issue. (entry would be 0001)
You are sending in 1001 but the system either finds more than one entry for 1001 without being able to assign the site to aprofile or there is no entry for 1001.
Of course these tables can be used for Code Mapping from other POS clients as well.
BTW: the difference in behaviour is based on the fact that the BAPI does not take those mapping tables into consideration.

Hi all,
I am getting the error message "Unit *** is not created in language EN" (Message no. BM305), while creating POSDM transaction.
I did set up and loaded data into BI components 0MATERIAL, 0PLANT, 0RPA_MEAN, 0MAT_PLANT & 0RPA_MARM.
I have verified that tables T006 & T006A are having Unit of measure 'EA' with language English.
When I used Tcode 'CUNI' and gave source and target language as EN. I am getting error message 'Could Not Save Target Text'. But this would not be an issue I guess, because I have verified a working system source/Target were not maintained there.
Please let me know if any further setting to resolve the issue.

Actually I have used flat file upload, and ensured that the Infoobjects are mapped properly.
When I use POSDM Workbench, I am getting error like 'Unit EA is not created in language EN'. T006/T006A are having UoM in language EN. Is any other common setting I am missing here?
0RPA_MARM - has only attributes? Do I need to upload TEXT for this object?

POSDM ERROR....Sales data not uploading

I'm doing ISR,POS & POSDM integration as an XI Consultant.(using standard XI contents)
While uploading EOD sales data in posdm...
I got the following error...

I asked my BI team to install ORPA_MEAN.
but all objects not getting activated.
But now my file is getting uploaded in POSDM but Sales data and totals data is not showing.
Is there any other settings or activation needed for getting the sales data in Posdm ?

Hi,
Have you checked the messages in log /POSDW/MON0 in the BI system? If the data import is going thru from XI to PoSDM, then data needs to pass the tasks & rules validation. Till it passes those checks, it will not show up in the sales records.

POSDM Multiple days in one file

POSDM has received a file on one day which contains two days trading. How can this file be split in POSDM to reflect the data on the individual days?
The /POSDW/STOREDAYCHANGEKEY process copies the data from one store/day key effectively duplicating the data. This works on the entire file, there are no filter options to restrict the transactions that are copied.
The /POSDW/DELETE process deletes an entire store/day, again with no filtering of the specific data to delete.
I can copy the data from one day to another and delete one of the days; this does not solve the problem but merely moves it to another day.
Are there any other options or processes that I can use?

Yes, you can put the classes inside one class in one source file.
The result will be that all the nested classes will compile to
outerclas$innerclass.class

POSDM - Error unknown store number

Hi ,
I am trying to post sales transactions to POSDM . When I execut the task , I get the error message 'Unknown store number'.
The store is available in 0PLANT and store settings are available in POS configuration. Please advice. Helpful answers will

How to trace IDOC from POSDM to ERP

Dear experts,
I have send a IDOC(WPUTAB) to ERP from POSDM, how do I trace IDOC and get the IDOC number in ERP? because the IDOC number seems changed after send to ERP.

Hi Evans,
You can use transaction SNRO/OYSN by using Object EDIDOC wherein the Idoc number ranges can be defined in both POSDM and ECC.
Standard interval is with "01" 0000000000000001 to 9999999999999999(16 digits)
However there is no standard way to have message type specific number range settings which you maintain in both POSDM and ECC(as in your case you may need to configure 2 different number ranges one for WPUUMS and another for WPUTAB and there may be many more idocs as well)
You can use Function module Number_get_next and create a custom table to maintain Message type specific number ranges.
Alternatively the only other option is to check the EDIDC/EDID4/EDIDS tables both in POSDM and ECC by giving some of the key fields Message type,partner number,created on,created at,idoc status etc and compare it accordingly.
Also if you are not processing idocs immediately you can check table EDIQO in POSDM(Outbound from POSDM) and EDIQI in ECC(inbound to ECC)

Regarding EAN and Article in POSDM system

Dear Experts,
In POSDM system the EAN number is populated but its the corresponding Article number is not populated even though in the infoobjects 0RPA_MARM , 0RPA_MEAN ,0PLANT ,0MAT_PLANT and 0MATERIAL the data is present.
I am using the "Qualifier for Article Identifier" as 1(EAN/UPC Number).
Can you please suggest me is there any other infoobject where I have to populate the data.

We are implementing SAP IS retail with POS and POS DM, When the Tlog is sent back to POS DM by triggering standard BAPI in XI.
We could able to see the data coming to POS DM but i am getting Error : Currency is missing ..Message no. 5A400.
I have uploaded the master data in BI for a onjects but still we are facing the error. Would be a great help in i get some information to trouble shoot this issue.

SAP message Log

Does SAP maintain log of all the messages displayed on screen using MESSAGE statement?
We are investigating a problem and want to see the messages displayed by SAP during the time when problem occured.

We have custom development for picking and confirmation. Last week we found that in some deliveries there is difference in delivered quantity and packed quantity.
Custom development is calling sap-standard FMs. Problem occurs randomly, roughly 10 deliveries in a week has this problem.
We are still trying to investigate the reason that is causing the problem.
Custom program does display the message to user if FM raise any message. We asked user of they are getting any message while picking, and if they are ignoring it.
They just confirmed that they are getting message 'Packing Not Possible Since there is no Quantity to be Packed' and they did ignored this.

Windows Vista: Ipod Error Message, no longer read by PCs

Hello,
I have a 5th generation black ipod video with 30GB of memory.
The other day I hooked it up to my laptop (Toshiba, 4 months old) that it's been functioning on with no problems whatsoever. This weird error message flashed twice about it not being able to sync because of some software problem.
Eversince then, the only thing I can charge my ipod on is the family treadmill in the basement (~_~) as no other computer in the house recognizes it. I can't even charge it through the wall sockets, either.
I have changed the ipod cord, still no luck. I've also reset the device about 3 or 4 times and uninstalled, restarted the laptop then reinstalled itunes. I would like to reset it back to factory settings but that's impossible as computers/laptops don't pick it up. I live very far from a Mac store...
What's a girl to do? I can't live without my Busta Rhymes and Wu-Tang Clan!

Error message into a Variable.

I have a rather usual (unusual from the weekend beers for me though!!) query which I can't figure out a proper way to implement.
My requirement is like this:
I have a message class in which I want to define a text 'Employee number & not found'.
I want to use this in the program, but not to raise this error. Instead, I want to move this error message with the Employee number into a Character(200) variable.
So instead of using MESSAGE e0xx(messageclass) USING employee number, I would like to move the error text into a variable which looks like:
lv_text = e0xx(messageclass) USING '1234' which stores the text 'Employee number 1234 not found' in lv_text.
How would I acheive it??

Cannot sync, error message "could not be read" for an iPod no longer in use

I have two problems. I upgraded iTunes to 7.2 and the very next morning my iPod died. It is completely unresponsive. Maybe it's coincidental. So I bought a new 80 gig iPod and gave it a different name than the old dead iPod. Now when I try to sync the new iPod, it goes for about 10 minutes, then it fails with this message:
Attempting to copy to the disk "old iPod name" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to.
It is complaining that it can not read the old dead iPod that is NOT hooked up to the computer! Somehow, minutes into syncing, iTunes has forgotten which iPod it is looking at. I have seen the article about the "cannont be read" message and it is not relevant. I need to make iTunes forget about the old dead iPod so it will stop looking for it. I've tried removing the files from "Documents and Settings" but iTunes still remembers the old unit. Where else does it store information? Any recommendations?

Okay, that can sometimes be caused by a Windows drive letter confusion. For troubleshooting advice on that possibility, see the following document:

Error message: "playlists selected for updating no longer exist"

I tried to update my ipod nano and I guess I had deleted a playlist, but since then, I have not been able to update. Every time I try, I get the following message:
"Cannot be updated because all of the playlists selected for updating no longer exist."
I haven't been able to highlight which playlists are selected to begin with.
I read through the manual and thought that maybe rebooting the whole system might work. So I deleted Itunes from my computer and re-installed.
Then I tried re-setting my ipod. So now I have nothing on my ipod.
I also deleted everything from my library, thinking it might help to start from scratch. Nothing has worked.
How do I "select" and "unselect" playlists so I can get up and running again?

IPod seen by windows, not by iTunes+ weird error message

I have a first generation 2GB iPod nano and i use windows xp. I can't load any music because iTunes doesn't see my iPod and an error message pops up that reads like this: "iTunes: iTunes.exe corrupt file. The file or directory \iPod_Control\iTunes is corrupt and unredable. Please run the checkdisk utility." I've tried everything, reinstalling iTunes, different versions, reinstalling OS, resetting iPod, even on another computer, same problem. Other than that, the iPod works normally, it's just lacking music..
and why is there no email adress from apple for service qustions? 10x

I still don't get it, how can I put it in disk mode if I CANNOT see the iPod in iTunes..?

Error message iPod cannot update b/c all of the playlists no longer exist

Hello. I have been getting this error message. "Songs on the iPod "MAR(the name of my iPod)" cannot update because all of the playlists selecting for updating no longer exist." And my playlists are still on the left side in my iTunes. They do exist. I have a feeling ths might have to do with the fact that on vacation the person I was visiting gave me a gift of putting all of his music that would fit into the external hard drive part of my iPod, and for the past week or so I have been putting that music onto my 40 GB portable hard drive at home. I suspect I took a vital folder out of my iPod by accident. Right now I have the folder iPod_control if I open my iPod up in My Computer. Am I missing something? Right now my iPod is empty because iTunes made a composite playlist last week and I deleted it thinking I could get my real playlists back. Can you help me, or reccomend a site/someone who can? Thank you.

let's just doublecheck this. folks get this message if they have "automatically update selected playlists only" selected in their itunes "ipod" preferences tab. so bring up that tab ("edit > preferences", click "ipod" while the ipod is showing up in the source list), and do a playlist by playlist crosscheck of the playlists selected in that tab, and the playlists showing up in the itunes sourcelist.
is there any playlist selected in the preferences tab that isn't showing up in the sourcelist?
