Poser 7 & Manga Studio ex NOT Working!!!

I recently bought a Mac Pro!All my apps that I had on my old G5 work fine except from Poser 7 & Manga Studio EX 3 that cannot do anything.As soon as I click on them a window appears which tells me that the application is not responding.If I click relaunch it appears again.The apps don't even try to load or something.I know that apple forum is not the best place to ask but the apps worked fine both on my G5 & Macbook, so I thought it must be a Mac Pro problem.Anyone has an idea?

They work fine on my macbook as I already said.I have the same leopard version on my macbook as I have on my Mac Pro.So I guess the leopard version is not the problem.The Poser app is a download from the e-frontier site.I bought poser and some extra stuff for it through bank transfer.I have not updated the apps but I don't think this is a problem.The poser app stopped working when I tried to put some new stuff in the download section in the poser folder.When I opened it crashed.I removed the files one by one but the app is still crashing.After that I9 installed Manga from an original disc but this one never worked.I also have vue 5 & 6 which work just fine.Any idias now that you have more information?

BT Studio 1500 not working

I recently bought a BT studio 1500. After i plug the phone line into the base unit., it doesnt have any dial tone and is not working. I re plug the phone cable into an exisitng table phone and its working. I had gone through the user manual and it doesnt say anything about this. Can anyone please help me with this problem ? Is it within 30days? As I would take it back if it's outside then it should still be coverered by warranty however if your not a BT cust they will possibly not go through any tests I would check with them,if no luck you should try the BT Studio helpline on 08706058047.

PowerMac G5 17" Studio Display Not working

Hello All,
My PM G5 tower's 17" Studio Display went blank today--no one saw when it blanked, so I don't know if it went all at once or slowly. The thing is, I don't know if it's the display or the video card. The PM is fine, since I can operate it via screen sharing. According to System Profiler, the card (GE Force FX 5200) is working and the monitor is connected properly and shows the correct resolution. I can't run hardware check since I can't screen share when starting from the DVD. Is there any other way to check to see if the problem is in the card or the monitor (other than hauling it down to the Genius bar)?

If, in the case of an issue with the ADC portion of the card, often times there is no prior warning, as the failure is more often a power issue than VRAM or GPU.
With VRAM or GPU, there would be visual warnings with pixel errors, banding, and other graphical artifacts.
The system profiler is virtually worthless for detecting hardware failures.
As for the display, the inverter board is not that uncommon of a failure.
Typically, though, this is accompanied by a flashing power light on the display(short, short, long):

DVD Studio Pro not Working

I recently upgraded my OS-X to 10.5.4 and my studio pro does not seem to work since the upgrade. It seems to get stuck in the encoding assests segment and and will not burn a DVD. Any ideal what is happening?

Try encoding your assets outside of DVD SP in Compressor. Though it used to happen more in the past (people having issues with hangs), encoding outside DVD SP often did the trick.

Doing clean install but logic studio does not work. Getting Error message

I have my box Logic Studio 9 upgrade but it will not install on my SSD. Final cut and all other reinstalls worked. Cannot install LP 7 because it is a PPC
written program. Im trying to do a clean install of the lion OS but cannot get my most inportant program to install. I dont want to buy the program again at the app store. What do think my options are? I've had Logic since 6.0

First, get rid of your designer, the page design/code is a mess.
There are a number of problems with the page, not least being the disabling of the back button in all browsers I tested it in, (visitors may visit once with this, but are unlikely to do so a 2nd time).
The menu system is a fixed size so that when the browser is resized it overflows the browser window.
The use of tables for layout is not recommended as it is inaccessible to users using assistive devices.

Microsoft Lifecam Studio HD not working with skype...

Greetings, I recently upgraded my computer from windows 8 to Windows 8.1.
My webcam works in the microsoft lifecam application, but when I attempt to use it in Skype, I just see the the swirling 'loading' icon for the webcam.

When I say that it doesn't work with any webcam software in the desktop, I mean Skype, Windows Live Messenger, LiveCam Studio software, CyberLink YouCam and not even in the Microsoft Silverlight configuration.
I know that the webcam is working because it works in the camera app of metro, and in the sound recorder of the desktop. Of course I can see that the webcam microphone is working, but using any of the above software have no video or audio.
YouCam gives me this error message: "YouCam cannot connect to your webcam ( Microsoft LifeCam Cinema). Try selecting another capture device within settings, or close any applications that may be using this webcam and then restart YouCam."
worked ok up till last week, downloaded Have reinstall all new drivers and Softwear up to date but No LifeCam.EXE File is missing from Software (US)
Microsoft needs to fix this as cam only got as Skype Certified

2012 SQL Server Management Studio Intellisense Not Working

I have read just about every article and checked many options with SSMS and the Server. The server is MS SQL SERVER 2012 SP1 Version 11.0.3339.0 X64.   SMSS is 11.0.2100.60.
I have refreshed the intellisense cache, made sure I wasn't in the SQLCommand Mode and that I had intellisense enabled under the Tools Options and Text_editor.
Intellsense worked great for me when I was running 2008 R2....now nothing, feeling frustrated.   Any new ideas on how to get intellisense back in line would certainly be appreciated.

We were having problems also with intellisense, as it completely stopped working on a SQL Server 2012 instance that was hosting over 100 client databases in a non-transactional development only environment. We tried everything and nothing seemed to
work until I ran an optimize routine that included running DBCC DBReindex, sp_updateStats, and sp_Recompile. This seemed to clean up what ever was blocking intellisense. Now it is working with no problem. I added a SQL Agent job that runs
once a week to perform this optimization. We have not had a problem with intellisense since.

Blackmagic ultra studio sdi not working with Premiere Pro 8cc or A.E.cc(2014) on win7 GT630m i7 laptop - But works in A.E.cc(12.2.1.5)

There's a problem with the new update, as I no longer can use my BM Ultra Stdio SDI for monitoring. It let me select it but no image just black frame, with the new premiere pro cc 8 or a.e. cc (2014)
But i have No Problem in A.E. cc (12.2.1.5) work find just like it should, So what has happen here ? My system is Win7 Ultmate Laptop i7 Toshiba Satellite p850, dual gpu's GT630m & Intel HD 4000
With the latest blalckmagic drivers installed (10.1.1) This needs to be looked into, there is no way of monitoring accurately .

Thank You Marc_Lec for what has been a game changer for me since my last computer and the beginning of PremiereCC problems.
I changed my Memory reserved for Other Applications from the default 7gigs to 1/2 of my approx.31 available Gigs = 16Gigs. Viola!
No more crashing what-so-ever!
I still have to purchase an older GTX 980 graphics card to take advantage of Adobe's approved code to utilize X=Cuda Cores and GPU, but I think I'll hang onto my new TitanX, in hopes that Adobe will write code and approve it someday in the near future.
Now why doesn't Adobe say this officially about Memory Settings? (I don't know maybe they do and I missed I somewhere)
Mine and probably many peoples computers problems here on this board may be attributed to a simple Memory adjustment, because the computer needs more than 7Gigs to run itself, not to mention Premiere.

Sun Studio & NetBeans not working

I'm using Solaris Express CE b60 and some days ago Sun Studio and NetBeans is refusing to start.

What java is in your path? (Use java -version to determine this). If you use java 1.4 that might be the reason. Please try java 1.5 or 1.6.

First of all you should install NWDS. Apparently you have only unzipped it. There's a file called JDTSetup.exe which you must run. This installs and configures your NWDS.

Formac Studio DV not working...help

I have loads of old Hi8 that I have wanted to convert to DV for ages so when I saw one of these on ebay I got it to mess around with-http://www.formac.com/webapp/productsavstudiodv.php
The thing is when I load of the application that I downloaded from the formac site it says I need an EPROM upgrade and to click a button to order upgrade-when I do click it it takes me to a dead link on the Formac site. Formac have been useless trying to sort it so Im wondering if anyones has experience using one of these?
I know it works as the footage runs thru the firewire ports and into Final Cut Pro but if I capture using it it says the files are invalid in FCP.
help would be much appreciatted

The other way around the issue is use an older version of iMovie & TVR software, that's compatible with your formac. At the moment I can't remember which version that is (it's been a while since I dealt with it). I'm thinking 3 or 4 for iMove and 2 for TVR. I have 2 versions of iMovie & TVR on my Powerbook for this reason. As I finally broke down and bought a new one.
As far as the upgrade to your Formac, you have to send it in. It's a hardware issue. A couple years ago they wanted around $70 to do it.
If I remember I'll check it out and let you know which versions you need.

Poser, Collada and CS4 not working...

I upgraded to CS4 for one reason only. The ability to paint directly on figures. So far I can't get my figure to open in Photoshop after having used the Collada exporter in Poser. Error message is, "The Photoshop 3D file format cannot Parse this file.
I can open .obj files exported from Poser but I need the Collada exporter for resizing the tiny Poser figures. This works in CS3, what's wrong with CS4?

I'm sorry to be so long in getting back to you. I understand what your issues are, and I have had lots of problems moving 3D models from one program to another myself. Do you have any 3D program other than Poser? I'm actually not using Photoshop myself for what you are trying to do. I have used Cinema 4D in the past, and that allows one to pull in Poser models directly and one can use the included BodyPaint to paint in 3D with layers. It is better than Photoshop for that, but leaves something to be desired if you want to paint a displacement map (where you need to use zbrush or mudbox). I've used Maya, and its painting part is worse than Photoshop. Recently, I've used Autodesk's Softimage and imported the collada models. They require a considerable amount of reweighting to work, but Softimage is a great program for modeling and animating (probably the best). In Softimage, I use the BodyPaint plugin to do what you are wanting to do. It works, and Photoshop is not quite ready for prime time for 3D painting, in my opinion. The Poser collada export is problematic in most programs. I could never get textures to import into Houdini correctly. The collada export works best with Softimage, but one still needs to fix transparency and bump issues. My experience with older versions of DAZ studio were that they were very buggy and not to be recommended.
I wish I could give you better advice. The rescaling issue is difficult to fix without a real 3D program. I can rescale models easily in most programs (Maya, Softimage, Houdini, Cinema 4D, etc.) but not in Poser. I export collada with 1000% scaling for Softimage, and as you say, you can't do that with obj models. (you can scale obj models in most 3D programs and then export them to Photoshop, Zbrush, Mudbox, etc., but you need a "real" 3D program. Poser was made for people who like to pose human models, but it is very weak in rendering, creating models, simplifying complex polygons, simulations, and about every standard thing one does in a real program.
I haven't used blender, but it is a free 3D program and pretty powerful if you can get around its archaic interface. You might try exporting an obj file from poser and rescaling it in blender and then pulling it up in Photoshop. It is worth a shot.

ADC Studio Display 17" USB not working

I hope someone can help.
I have a 17" Apple Studio Display that connects via ADC left over from my old Powermac G4. I recently bought the new Mac Mini (Unibody) and an Apple DVI to ADC Display Adapter to use with the HDMI to DVI Adapter to connect with the Apple Display.
This works perfectly however I have noticed the USB ports on the back of the display does not work. Could this be because the Apple DVI to ADC Display Adapter can not supply enough power via the connected HDMI to DVI Adapter to support the display and its USB ports? Is there a way too get them working again?

Hi. Thanks for that. As you say there must be something wrong with my display's USB circuitry then.
Just one more question, is the USB cable from the DVI to ADC adapter only for supplying power to the USBs on the display? Since the display's USBs are not working, will the adapter still work and power my display without using the USB connecter from this adapter? If so this will free up one of my USB2 ports on the mini.

I am new to SAP Design Studio. I am working on creating dashboards and I am using Design Studio 1.2 version. Please suggest some solutions for the following issues. Thanks in Advance.
1. External CSS file which is embeded using custom CSS option under "application component properties" is not working.
* I kept the external CSS file inside repository-> my application folder.
2. During runtime, getting javascript error while selecting '-' option from filter panel.
3. Unable to select or type dimension name under "dimension filer component" properties.
4. Getting runtime error for dropdown list, and I have inserted the following code under "onStartup" option of Application component properties.
"DROPDOWN_1.setItems(DS_1.getMemberList("PRODUCTREF", MemberPresentation.INTERNAL_KEY, MemberDisplay.TEXT, 20));
and dimension values are not populated in auto suggest."

There should be an Error Log under View > Error Log that gives you more details of these errors. Could you add that? There is also a View > Script Problems log that provides more details as well.

When I go to App store and try to re-download - it comes up "Downloaded" - as in you alreadly have purchased it. Always before on other Apps, I just delete and repurchase and when it comes up OK. Currently my desktop is not connecting at all, Everytime I connect, it's states "We have now logged you out" and requests I login again.
I have of course rebooted,
Gone into taskmanager, killed all the relevant threads, tried again to login through the desktop, no luck, I'll have to uninstall it, make sure the threads are killed, then reboot it and then reinstall it, but I've not had the time to do that.
On another note, and just as a point of reference, myself, personally, I hate these "cloud" file repositories (not to be confused with adobe cloud services which I love) but the file repositories themselves imho, are a blackhole of resource usage when one doesn't/isn't using them,
Is there a way we can use it more of a "ftp" sort of thing, when I want to I can put files there? There is no way to "Download" the repository, no way to download the folders.. only individual files and then it takes I think three different steps before the download starts.. I find this very inhibiting. Just an fyi. for what it's worth.
